Good morning girls!!!!! Boy, it has been so slow here, are you all still out there?????

Dee, enjoy the rest and relaxaton, I bet the heelchair is a godsend.

Ramona, I am thrill you have your "baby" back home with you, if even for a few weeks. Cherish every minute with him. Please give Dan a hug from me and tell him "thank you" for everything he and the others are doing for our country. Is Rick still in front of the computer?????? :-)

Shelley, thank you for the input concerning the craft fair. One never knows what will sell and I hate tying up so much money in inventory, not counting the time it takes to prepare, paint and seal stuff. PLEASE take it easy on yourself and watch the lifting while your trying to get stuff straightened out.

Carol, I'm staying OP about 50% of the time, I just can't get it to "click" this time. Congrats to you on your successful OP days!!!!!!!

Jennelle, we budgeted about $150.00-$200.00 for Lizs senior pics, $300.00 later... around here, it is a huge scam, certain select poses can only go with certain packets etc. We had to pay an ungodly amount just for the black and white yearbook pic. We couldn't copy any of the pics off anywhere because the photographer had stamped each one, including the proofs. Graduation ended up costing us twice the amount of money as orginally budgeted and we have a conservative daughter. I can just imagine the dollars spent by some parents when the kid wants everything in the "special little catalog" ... GOOD LUCK!

I am working on craft stuff, having a class or two a week, still voluteering with Hospice and getting Allison ready for school. She will attend a "jump start" program for two weeks, starting the end of the month. This will prepare the kindergarteners for class time. The program will only be for a few hours a day, but I think it will be really good for her, considering she has always stayed home with me.

Thank you all for the nice comments regarding the pictures I post. I guess I need to still work on my confidence level, I am never happy with any of it. I painted an oil canvas Monday, I'll try to post a pic one of these days.

Hey Gayle! I know what you mean about the pictures, because it could have been a whole lot worse on this end. The package prices were absolutely ridiculous and had way more pictures than we would ever need. I finally went to the girl at the counter and said, "Look, these packages are just way too expensive and way too big for our needs." She then pointed out the individual picture prices hidden in an obscure location of the brochure.

I can't believe they made you pay for the yearbook picture, though! For us, the yearbook picture and the composite picture (you know, the one that goes in the big class picture that hangs on the wall of the school) come with the sitting fee of $25.

Hi everyone.

Yes Gayle, Rick is still in front of the computer. I think I've created a monster!!!

I haven't seen a whole lot of Dan. He is spending time with his girlfriend and going swimming and cooking out with his friends. But, that's okay. This is HIS time and I want him to do what makes him happy and relaxed.

My dad is cooking for Dan and all of us on Thursday night just like he used to. This will be the first time we have gotten together and had a meal at home since mom died. I hope we can keep the mood upbeat. Rick, Dad, and I went out to eat Saturday night and ordered the new cake they had. OH MY GOSH!!! Dad ordered a whole one for this Thursday night. It is chocolate cake with a layer of chocolate mousse, with a layer of chocolate fudge, with chocolate sprinkles and then the layers start again and then it is drizzled with chocolate syrup!!!! We only got one piece and shared it. It is the most decadent thing I have ever eaten!

The people who are doing the remodeling came on Monday evening. They had told us they would start sometime at the end of August. Well, they are coming this Monday instead! Now I have to have everything picked out by this weekend! I need all of you to drop what you are doing and head this way with all your decorating advice! I'll even feed you some of that chocolate cake! hahaha

I've got to go finish some court orders before the judge gets here. Hopefully we will all start posting regularly again soon. I miss you all!!!!!

Ramona-At least it will all be done sooner and you will be able to enjoy it sooner! I thought you were doing the remodeling yourself. You are very lucky to have someone doing it for you!

I have all this senior stuff to look forward to next year. I guess I have a year to save up for everything!

Gayle-I can't believe that you aren't aware how wonderful your work is. You are very talented and gifted!

I've been guilty of not posting much, but I have been reading the posts twice daily.

Sherry-I hope that you are all settled in and enjoying your new house.

Debbie-You must be lounging poolside all day everyday until school starts!

I am in the process of moving from 1 desk to the other empty one in the office. The problem is, it is the same desk, but minus a set of drawers. The principal had me buy 2 wood file cabinets, but I still feel awkward without all the drawer space that I am used to. Right now I am spread across 2 different desks. The principal's dad died today of cancer. She was getting ready to go on a trip this weekend to visit him for the last time (he has been quite sick for some time) and got the news today. She is still going to go up to see her family. Her son is taking it especially hard because he was very close to his grandfather. He is college age and lives in Tallahassee. They are both going to go to Oregon together.

Love to all!

Shelley, we have to have someone take out the wall because it is load bearing and a beam has to be put up in the attic. They will frame in the wall for the new bathroom and then we will do all the rest ourselves. Fortunately, my brother-in-law can do all the plumbing and lay the tile. We will paint, put up the crown moulding and change out all the electrical.

Morning Girls

If anyone told me I would have a carefree summer...It was a JOKE!! Between all the garden and yard work here and taking care of Mom, I have been busy -busy!!! Dad even had minor surgery to remove a large knot from his back, so I have been doing his yard work too. Not much time for eating though..

Sherry....I love your new house!!! Everything looks so clean and pretty. I could sit on your porch for hours and hours. I know you and Wayne will have many happy years together there.

Ramona....With everyone remodeling it makes me want to get into some BIG project...NOT!! LOL Enjoy your time with Dan. I'm so glad that James hates my computer.

Gayle...Sounds like you have had a busy summer too with all your crafts. You should do great with the sale because your art is wonderful!!

Shelley....I can't beleive you are already back at school. Makes me think my summer is almost over too. My inservice starts the first week of August.

Tina...Hope things have calmed down for you. We are all here for you if you need us. Hugs!!

Dee...I hope you are enjoying your trip. Come home soon!!

My Mom's surgery is scheduled for next Tuesday. She is so excited about getting this new knee and being able to walk again. She has amazed us all though because she is a whiz with that wheelchair and to think she didn't even want it in her sight 7 weeks ago. She will be in the hospital for 1 week and rehab for 2 weeks. By the time she comes home this time, she will be able to walk with a walker. Please continue to keep her in your prayers. TY!!
I have been about 50% OP since the 4th of July!! But today is a new day and I'm shooting for 100%!!!! I keep asking myself ...WHY would anyone want to be on a maintance plan at 212 pounds...LOL!!

Hope all my Floozie Friends are having a good summer. Love you all!
Hugs....deb

Good Morning Everyone!!

I have been lurking but not posting. No excuse, just nothing much to say I guess. I have been about 50% OP like a few of you gals. Can't seem to find that staying power. Every time I think I have, it disappears on me!

Just wanted to say hi and let you all know I am thinking of you. Everyone seems so busy right now with their projects. I am sure it will pick up once summer starts dwindling down.

Hugs to everyone.

Good Mornin'

I'm here too. Just being lazy and not really doing too much. The house next door has a pool and I've been relaxing in it.

I'm not doing good being OP. I can't seem to get back OP 100%. I guess I need a good butt kicking.

I've been lurking too Carol but promise I will be a good moderator and start posting more! Just real blahhhhhhh......

Love to all.......
Hugs!

Oh BTW: The welcome sign is not in my house....I found it on the internet.
