Good Morning Ladies~

Jana~love your melons! They are cute, and so tiny! V and I are going to see Terminal tomorrow afternoon. Seems like we have been going to the show once a week. Has anyone seen the Stepford Wives?? DD and I went to see it a few weeks ago and it was good, a little funny. Saw Dodgeball last week and I swear I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Of course I like Ben Stiller, his wife Christine and Vince Vaughn, what a cutie!

Hi LibraryKate~glad to see ya checking in. Have fun at Holiday World.

Angie~a holiday/vacation to Disneyland or Disney World would be so much fun. I have never been to Disney World but heard it is lots of fun and there is a lot more to do, but then with that comes a lot more people also. I just have never had the desire to go to Florida and don't think I ever will. But, hope you guys get to take a vacation. I haven't had one in so long I forgot what it is like. Unless of course you count a few days here and there, and still it has been a couple of years. Just don't like traveling much anymore in my older age. I am such a homebody.

Marti~sure you can join me! I am doing pretty good so far. Went and stocked up on HC & LC dinners, local store had them 1/2 price. Also, got a lot of lettuce and tomatoes for salad. I love salad, just half the time I am too lazy to make it. I have bought the bagged stuff and it just doesn't taste as good as making your own. I don't think I have read anything from Sue Grafton, but the name sounds familiar. Keeping my fingers crossed in the hopes that you get the job, one of them.

Susan~hope you hear something soon about the job. Boy, that would be so frustrating, all that waiting...I too would call. You are going to have to get a picture of your Les to share with us. So when do you both plan on meeting each others kids? Or are you going to wait a while till you get to know each other better?

Hi to everyone else, Katie, Sue, Kathy, Rita, Shannon, RosieKate, Jen and I know I am missing some, sorry. Hope you all are fine.

I am getting ready to go check out the times for the movie tomorrow and just thought dd and I might go today also. I have nothing to do.Okay, I take that back because I can always find something to do around the hous, just don't want to. Should clean house but not in the mood. Did my weekly grocery shopping this morning. Boy it was nice and quiet in wally world this morning, kind of weird. So close to the first of the month I would have thought there would have been more people, but it was early so...well, I need to get going. Have a good one ladies!

Afternoon ladies--

Well computer is working much better now.

I called the OML (Oregon Medical Lab) and told the woman I was still interested in the job. So tomorrow morning I go in for a Typing test. I think I will do ok with that. The job is night shift....9-6 but hey....should be ok. Just need something to get me going.

So Shanna.....I will be doing the same shift as you!! (If I get the job that is)

My grandpa came this morning to deliver our wedding gift.....our shed he made. (grandma's idea) and watching the two old men maneuver that thing was a nightmare!!! They had it so close the edge of the house that I thought it was going to tip!! But all is good now and eventually we'll move it back more, but for now.....it's staying where it's at. Neighbors always seem to gather round our house for entertainment. First when we were remodeling, then when we moved in, then the falling of the trees...and now this. I should put a sign up next time saying "Potluck entertainment...please feel free to bring a dish and a chair and watch what happens next!"

Ok ladies...I will do individuals later on.

You all take care...
I need to finish putting make up on and doing my hair (grandpa came as I was in the shower!)

Default I'm not lost..

We just got home last night from PA. I am tired and discouraged. Dad had his surgery Fri. They did a triple by-pass, valve replacement (pig valve) and also took a nodule off his lung. He was in la-la land all day Sat. but Sun. when we got to his room he was sitting up. Mon. and Tues. he was so much improved. I couldn't believe a 77 year old could come through so well...that was alot of surgery. Then yesterday we found out that the lung was cancerous. Sooo, since he was going to rehab today for the heart and would be working pretty hard to get stronger, we came home. I am waiting to talk to his wife for the treatment regimen of the cancer. I am sure we will be going back and forth some, but for today I have been just wiped out. (Emotionally and physically)
Have to try to get back to life here... Then WHAM again. Got a call that my BIL is in the hospital here with possible kidney failure. Please God, don't hit me with a number 3.
I will be back and hopefully more cheerful as the days go by.

I'm baaaaack...

Marti~keeping my fingers crossed that you get the job! I know you will ace the typing test! Your grandpa sounds like a sweetie, and what a wedding gift, a storage shed! Cool! I'm glad he is staying busy.

Sue~so glad to see ya back! (((((HUGS))))) to you and yours. Keeping you and yours in my thoughts and prayers, and hoping there is no #3. Just don't forget to take care of yourself.

Well, I was a little bored so thought I would see what you ladies were up to. Didn't make it to the movies today. There is nothing on that DD and I want to see. Okay, I take that back, she wanted to see that Farenheit 9/11-think that is what it is called. I am not so much into sitting for two hours and watching a documentary. But I have heard it is interesting, so may eventually have to see it with her.

What does everyone have planned for the 4th? Anything special going on?

Anyhoo...hope everyone is having a good day. See ya

Hello again girls...

I'm ready for individuals....I had my cup of coffee and a ham sandwhich and I'm all dressed with my hair done and makeup on!!

Jana--I forgot you were going to DisneyWorld.....I guess that is closer to you than Disneyland. Silly me!! I just finished ready the first novel in the book: "A" is for alibi...it was good. I had already figured out who the guilty one was before I got the end!! (turning detective here!!) Now I've started "B" is for Burglar. Have you read those? My aunt and cousin are avid readers so I decided to do a book exchange with them. Not like I have many, but I did loan out "Odd Thomas" by Dean Koontz.

LibraryKate--Glad to see you're back!! How are you doing on finding a wedding dress?? I'm still looking forward to seeing what you're going to wear!! Three months away sounds like enough time, but it flys when you're trying to get things together. I hope it starts coming together smoothly for you soon!

Cristi--I'm going to the dollar store today (yes...good old dollar store) and buying myself a journal. I think putting things in writing will help me so much. The last time I kept a food journal it was ALWAYS open in the kitchen. That was I always knew what I ate, and anyone else you happened to look at it could see....made me feel guilty if I did poorly so I never did. So I may do that again. I'm with you on the salad. I love salads....but I tend to be lazy when it comes to making them. And the bagged salads tend to turn bad faster. So I usually try to make a huge salad and keep it in the crisper.....easy access and already made!!

Sue--Oh dear, I hope that things start turning out better for you. I too will keep my fingers crossed that you don't get a #3.......and as Cristi said....don't forget to take care of yourself. As hard as that can be. Will be thinking of you and your family!!

Hello to the rest of the crew!!

I need to go to Walmart later to find an appropriate top for tomorrow. I have no idea if this typing test is a combination of the test and an interview. Want to dress nicely whether it is or not. I started feeling nervous about typing. It's been months since I had to do a typing test. I think I make more mistakes than I was back then. But hopefully it will be good enough. I'm not quite sure why we need to type so much.....speciman processor.....I must have asked for information input position...I don't know. I'll find out tomorrow and will let you all know how it turned out. As long as I don't pee my pants from nerves...I should be ok!!

Well I think I will get off of this thing and head to town. Go pester some friends of mine later.... Tell them about the job.

You all have a great day and later I will take a photo of the shed and post it.

Ta-ta

Hi ladies,

Library Kate - good to see you dropping in! Sounds like you've been very busy, and you deserve a day off at Holiday World. We love going there, but haven't been for a few years.

Cristi - Katie also wants to see Fahrenheit 9/11 but I told her to take Kayla, not me, lol. Would you recommend Stepford Wives, or wait til it comes out on video? I really liked the original back in the 70's. Ok, now a word about Disney World.... it's not like being in Florida when you are there, it's like being in Fantasy Land.... no kidding. It is magical and fun and exciting and totally unreal! We always have stayed onsite (in the budget hotels) and get Disney magic 24/7...even the TV at night has storybook bedtime stories for the kids, and you can arrange for Mickey to call you with a wake-up call on speakerphone, lol. The parks are indescribable.... Can you tell I am one of their best fans, lol!

Marti - hope you get the job! How sweet of your grandpa to make the shed! Why don't you charge admission for the entertainment at your house, lol.

Sue - so sorry about all the stress in your life that is totally not in your control! Prayers are with you, friend.

Well, the visit with my cousin and her DH went very well, then we sat on the patio and chatted for several hours. We're all meeting my other sisters tomorrow for dinner, so I'll see them again then. In the meantime, my house got real clean real quick, lol.

Hiya! Finally got a few minutes to post, and I'm trying to stay out of the kitchen. It's too early for supper, but I feel like I need to munch. If I didn't know better, I would swear I have PMS. I'm crabby, tired, hungry... but maybe it has more to do with the full moon on Friday night! YIKES!

I did better with food today. Stuck to the slim-fast, and fruit. I did sneak in 2 cookies at work. The ones from grandma. But 2 at work is so much better than 6 at home! Now if I could only get motivated enough to get off of my butt!

Marti - I haven't watched the Jury yet. I'll have to search the TV guide to check it out. I am intrigued now. Good luck with your typing test. What exactly did you go to school for?

Jana - I cracked up picturing you in a gutter with dorito breath. Have you ever put doritos on a sandwich? They are really good with turkey or chicken, especially the thinly sliced, and cool ranch flavor. YUMMY.

Cristi - I have heard good things about Farenheit. One gal at work said the time flew by, and that we have been duped by the gov't. I'm curious to see what the movie has to say.

Sue - I am sorry to hear about your dad and BIL. As far as I can tell, you've already been hit 3 times, your dad twice with his heart and lung, so there's no reason for you to worry about "what next".

Hi to everyone else. I'm off to watch the weather report for the weekend.

Good Afternoon,

Very sad to hear about your father Sue. Many warm thoughts and prayers to you and your family

Ok, Ma..........I will call HR.......tomorrow.....lol. I am scared, I don't want to hear no, at least now it is a maybe. Just talked with a Site Manager and she said it took a week to hear back........so.......I will wait one more day.

I have no thoughts of Les meeting my kids in the near future Cristi. It would have to be a lot more of getting to know him. Gaby isn't as aware as Rachel and Rebecca. I just don't want to introduce men into their life that might not be around in a week........so, we'll see.

haha........ya, counseling with the ex, goodness knows we needed it. We have had 5 sessions so far and have made a lot of progress. Kind of in a tiff yesterday but we were able to laugh and he gave me a hug saying good bye.My iffy plans are to drive Gaby & the older girls down and see where he lives and let him have Gaby for an overnight with her other sister. He did have her 2 weeks ago at his fathers house and Gaby did fine. She obviously knows him and is happy to see him, so that is sweet to see.

Had a Ben & jerry cone with the girls this morning- vanilla Heath ......it was ok, still like Monkey Chuncky........

Smells really good down in the kitchen!!! They make meals for some of the residents, I should go down and see if I can buy a meal.....smells like somesort of soupy bean thing......lol.......

better go

argh........

Where is everyone when I need them?!?!?!?!

Anyway, Les Is No More.........Mister Honest, Mister Sweety,Mister Jerk,,,,,,,

I already knew he was upset about something. He doesn't have feelings for his ex wife ( ala Alex) but he has feelings still for his ex girl friend.......that just resurfaced, feelings he didn't realize he felt til........Monday.
He is so full of bullshit......excuse my Russian.......
He goes on and on about how he needs to figure his feelings out and the kicker is she "may or may not be pregnant"........
But, Susan..........
I really like you and we can still hang out and talk because I have feelings for you but.........
I have feelings for her to........and I really need closure. He always said he needed closure in regards to her.........will, duh!! If she is "may or maybe not pregnant".......kind of important to know what she is, don't ya think??
Jerk.....
He goes on and on about how he just wants to be honest with his feelings and I said I appreciate that -- too bad it couldn't have been 3 weeks ago. *snicker*
Of course these feelings didn't resurface til Monday.........how conveinent.

whatever..........he still wanted to continue a friendship. I said. You can't have one foot with me and one foot with her. I already have feelings for you , what am I suppose to do about that??
Oh..........I am sorry, he says...........so am I , I say.
I said my heart is special. I wasn't going in this looking for a buddy or an email pal.
He needs to get his act together and stop dragging others through his muck.....

argh,,,,,,,,,,whatever..........just venting.

Oh, ya. Didn't get the Site Mangers job............so.........whatever.......lol

Gotta go!!!

Thanks for listening!!!

Susan read the OM I sent,,,didn't want to curl back the ladies ears with my use of my sailorism language.

Marti, break a leg on the job! Your grandpa sounds like an awesome guy,,,

Jana, not sure about Disneyland as of yet,,,we talked more about it and thought maybe all the walking would be not so great for Brandon,,,looking at Cuba,,,nice sandy beaches...drinking rum punches,,,ohhh ya Baby!!

Sue, I feel for you,,,being emotionally and physically tired, and still needing to give more. My prayers go out to you and your family.

LK, what else are you taking in school?

I was reading the First mag about phase 2 which blocks carbs,,,well 75%, its made of white kidney beans which is known for blocking carbs...socan't hurt to try.

I went to the chiropractor with the boys this morning,,I sure needed an adjustment,,,my hips aches,,,my legs were numb.
Then I wished my legs were numb,,,went and got them waxed,,,OUCH! But I right now have smoooth legs,,,except for one small patch that got missed...fat thighs tend to stick together,,,and yes the patch was right where it sticks...lol

Kathy Happy Canada Day!
I still have to work tomorrow,,,do you? Since your company delivers our products...

Hello to everyone else!
