Hey Skinny Ladies!

We have hot water and that shower was GREAT!!!!

Welcome Jessica! You will love this group! Did I welcome Angela? If not, welcome to you, too!! I am just a little scatterbrained these days! LOL

I am going to kick it up a notch where my eating is concerned this week. I am going to cut out more carbs and add many more veggies and whole grains. I am babystepping with my eating plan, so that I will make good eating a habit. While I haven't gotten too many calories, I have been subbing some sweets for good healthy food, and that is not good!

COngrats to the new mod in our midst! You are the perfect choice!

I am cleaning first as usual, but we did a group cleaning spree, so it won't be so bad!

Back in a flash!

Crystal - I'm sorry you aren't feeling any better I'm not in One-derland yet but getting closer! Yipee my 2 lb loss on sunday brought me to 222 so I'm getting much closer lol, I already feel like 250 was ages ago I can't believe I've lost 28 lbs so far!!

Jessica - Good Morning girly! Don't worry, I'm a partial sahm too lol I just got a part time job for the summer its only 14 hours a week so no big deal, it gets me out of the house and some extra money in my pocket I was just curious how many calories your doctor wants you to consume in a day? I think those slimfast shakes are like 200 calories a piece, I only consume between 900 and 1200 calories a day not because my doctor says but because I just don't get that hungry anymore My sister has kidney problems too but hers is because of blood pressure problems or I should say her high blood pressure is because of her kidney lol it just stopped growing so it is only half the size of the other one. Stick with it girl we'll get you to your goal!! Post often we're here for you!

Geri - its getting hot here today too! I'm going to workout in the basement where its nice and cool! I've got the a/c on and working on cooling the house too! I've got a 4 mile walk and 1 hour of resistance training ahead of me today. Gotta wait for DH to get home though cuz these kids are driving me absolutely batty!

Spryng - I'm sooo glad that you got to go visit your bf and have a day for yourself! You most certainly deserve it!! That baby sounds absolutely adorable!!

Cindi - ty so much for the congrats You are doing great with your plan! I also think that it is great that you are making some healthier changes to it, but remember make it work for YOU!! Keep up the great work!!

Well I better try and get some more cleaning done!

Mornin Lovely Ladies!!

Leigh, you poor thing, I hope you feel better soon. I can't believe you are still working out while feeling so crappy! You are amazing! Glad DH is around to help out a bit today. Take advantage of him and get in some rest for cripes sakes. It's the quickest way to getting heathy.

Spryng, sounds like you had a very relaxing time visiting with BF and her new baby, well except for the getting lost on the way home, LOL, sounds like something I'd do. Isn't it amazing when you can carry on a coversation, a whole conversation, without stopping every 3 minutes to say "NO, mommy is talking, please don't intterupt." I've all but forgotten what that's like. Today is a cleaning day for me as well. Steve has agreed to help me keep up the house more during the week, so I can deep clean during the day, do big jobs on Saturday together (yard work) and really, really rest on Sunday. I hope the new plan really works, I just need to set up a mini-schedule during the week for us.

Crystal I hope you feel better soon, your plan of Subway and the park sounds delightful, I hope you enjoy your day. At your doctors appointment on Thursday, is it just a general check up or do you get an ultrasound as well? Maybe he can prescribe something for the morning, noon and night sickness?!! Take it easy today.

Jessica, nothing like a major health scare to kick your butt into action! It sounds like you have a great attitude about the whole things, which will go a long way in getting you towards goal.

Cindi, good idea in sqeezing in veggies and healthy stuff before sweet treats, and don't forget that water!! LOL Speaking of water, fantastic news about you getting back your HOT WATER, you must have took like the longest shower in history upon getting that news!

Hi there Michelle and Melinda and Ricci and anyone else out there!

Since adding more carbs in phase 2 I"m still up 2 pounds, sigh. I'm thinking I need some help with portion control and guidance in this area. So I've decided to keep eating South Beach phase 2 style, because I need to keep bad carbs out of my diet, but I'm also going to incorporate W.W. point system to help me keep track of what quantities I can eat. I hope this new crazy plan works for me. I'm going to try it for at least 2 weeks to see what happens. That's a fair amount of test time to me.

Not much else going on. Steve is getting ready for a fishing trip, I'm cleaning and getting ready for Father's day, a couple of little projects to get ready for the weekend. I'm so excited for him to have Father's Day! I think he is too.

bye for now, off to eat some healthy points.

Di

Well girls. I just had a nap and it felt like an hour but when I got up I realized it was only about minutes or so, oh well.
I went to Wal-Mart this am and then had lunch at Sub-Way and took the kids to the park. It was fun, makes me forget that I don't feel very good.
I'm helping my mom design her kitchen remodel and I've got to meet a gentlemen over there at 3pm, he's gonna measure her cabinets. So I'll try to be back later. I'll be rushed to get dinner going when I get back and the kids want to swim and dh will probably mow. Anyways, I'm going on and on, I'll check in later if I can.

Hello again!

Grocery shopping was horrendous. DS (3 yo) was terrible. I had to punish him in walmart and I hate doing that in front of strangers (and he knows that) but I did it anyway and he started acting better. And guess what? They had ALL of their crochet books on clearance today!! I bought about 10 of them, LOL. Ok, maybe I really am becoming obsessed, lol. But I enjoy it soooo much!! But groceries are bought and ready. Tonight we are having Polenta Pie. What are all of you having?

Crystal, so glad you got a nap in. Does your nausea subside as the day goes on?? I hope so.

Ricci, so sorry you lost your post!! (always copy it before hitting submit just in case next time) I'll look forward to hearing more from you later.

Di, yes it was heaven to have an adult conversation without kids running around or interrupting. Plus bf's apartment is SUPER TINY so my kids have no where to play when they go with me which leads to them getting bored and then driving everyone nuts, lol. So it was really nice to not have my kids there and plus I was able to hog the new baby... lol. It really made me want another baby. Thank god I have an IUD and can't sabbotage my birth control, LOL. I'm forced to wait another 4 years. (whew!) I think using the ww pts along with SB is a good idea. There are alot of people who do that on the ww boards. If you ever go to weightwatchers.com on the "close to goal" board there are groups that are doing SB along with ww. You may want to check it out! They seem to be doing well. But let us know how it goes!

Michelle, so does the exercise boards stay busy? I may have to check it out sometime.

Cindi, so glad you have hot water!!! Oh the simple things in life, huh?

Jessica, do you have to stay on the liquid diet until you hit your goal weight or just to get you started? Sounds like it doesn't bother you much and that is great!! But when weight is affecting your health like it is yours giving up solid food probably isn't too much to ask for now.

Geri, yes dh's cousin (the one I tan with) watched the kids for the day. She is so sweet, she even offered to keep them all over night but I wanted to rock Tanner to sleep so I went and picked them up when I got back in town.

Well, lunch today was Wendy's. But I did good. I missed breakfast so I got me a jr burger (6 pts) and a small chili (3.5 pts) and it filled me up so well I couldn't finish all the chili! But it was good. Now I am tired so I'm off here for a nap. TTYL!

Spryng, my nausea only subsides if I'm up doing stuff. I've been doing stuff all day but it started out better today. If I start out bad I can't even get up to do stuff. Like yesterday it was really bad all day no matter what I did.
I've been busy today, after going to mom's we went to our one and only local store and got popsicles, we ate them outside at home. In fact that is one thing that almost ALWAYS sounds good, fruity popsicles, but I can't have them unless the kids get one so I don't get them very often.
I'm having what we call chicken tacos for dinner. Doesn't sound good to me, but the chicken in seasoned and mixed with corn, black beans and hot sauce. I like the extras with it and a flour tortilla may be all I eat. Anyways, I'm fixing to practice my dart throwing until it's time for dinner.
Dh put up a dart board yesterday and it's addictive.

Default Hello.

Good evening! We're taking MIL and FIL out for Italian to thank them for all their help with Liam and fixing stuff around the condo. I'm already planning Spaghetti with either pomadoro (fresh tomato) type sauce or plain marinara.

Michelle- as you can see, we also took advantage of MIL and FIL's home improvement skills

Spryng - I'm glad you had such a nice time with your bf and the new baby. Hmm . . . what, exactly, could DH have been saying to you to get you all distracted??? I haven't watched Deadwood, but do love six feet under. I bet either Brenda or Billy did something to Lisa - don't you think? Sorry DS was acting up. But hey. at least you stood your ground, right? Glad you got crochet books to spark your creativity.

Geri - Good for you on the 3 miles. I would have used feeling sick as an excuse, but I really wanted a couple extra points

Cindi - congrats on the hot water.

Crystal - oh no I was hoping your nausea was passing. Well, then, more positive thoughts your way!

Jessica - you sound quite positive about the liquid diet, which is good. How close are you to getting your doctorate? I have a PhD in communication (not mass - more like sociology).

Di - I bet the Father's Day you have planned will be so much fun I can't wait for Father's Day, either.

I tried the new C-2 Coke today. It's okay, but not great. It's 1/2 sugar and 1/2 artifical sweetner, which I try to avoid. Well, I guess I shall check in later

Hi Ladies!!!

I am finally getting things back situated again..... after the party... but now my mom & dad is finally finished building their house (they have been living in their 5wheel next to our house) and they are moving in this week. Anyhow the house is right behind us so I have been helping her now.

ONE THING AFTER ANOTHER! LOL!

Ok Who's first???

Spryng,
I am soooo happy that you got to get out for a while w/out the kids! I know we all love being SAHM's but we also need a break every once in a while! Esp you! Hope you had a wonderful time! Is your bf on mat. leave or is she a Sahm? When does dh come back in? Does he come in for Father's Day?

Geri,
How are the TOPS meetings going? My group was never every supportive. I hope you get alot out of yours!

Leigh,
I just wanted to congratulate you on how well you are doing on program. Awesome And I was gonna tell you I looked at your pic. I would have pictured you as a dark blonde... but I was wrong..... LOL I have never heard of the new coke yet. Have fun at the resturant!

Michelle,
AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME! You are doing so great! I am so jealous now! You know I wanted to be moderator and now look at you! I am gonna check out the thread! I need to get my butt back in motion starting tonight! Congrats on the 2 pound loss!

Crystal,
Did you get morning sickness this early on with all of the kids? I never had too much of it but always had other major preggo problems. Hope it passes soon!

Ricci,
I am so sorry you lost your post! HUGS to you!

Di,
I had a hard time too switching to phase II. I did like a phase 1.5 for a long time and things started to look up for me. I think Michelle did the same thing too but I can't remember. Hope your new system works for you! Do what you know you can stick with!

Cindi,
How are the kids doing? That is great that you are babystepping your eating. Take it one day at a time! You are doing great!

Melinda,
Not to get to personal but is your milk supply gone? Did you completely wean JW? And have you started your tom yet? I know the first couple weeks after I weaned Andrew my weight tried to hold on but I just kept flushing it out w/ water and it had no choice but to leave.... Congrats on the loss! You are doing great!

Nags,
I know how you feel about being on here all the time. I am too!~ And yes these ladies are addicting!

Welcome Jessica,
I'm Penny, 23, Married w/ Three boys, Hunter 4 1/2, Nicholas 3 1/2 and Andrew my baby is 1....... Sob Sob I hope you find a great home here! How often do you go to the kidney dr. for your condition? My little one has kidney trouble too.

Ok ladies,
this was my first gain since Feb. I am up 3 pounds. But I am not sweating it! See what happens when I am not around! I start slipping! But I will start working on gettting it back off!

Ok as far as the party went! I was wonderful! Everyone had a wonderful time! We ended up with 56 people which wasn't too bad.... Andrew got lots of toys and clothes, but he did end up with $66.00 cash, $20.00 in Walmart gift cards, and two $50.00 savings bonds. I already have him a savings account opened up so I am gonna put his money in his account.

Here is a couple pics from the party! Hunter was mad b/c he wanted to open up Andrew's presents......lol Which he eventually did.....

Have a great night~ I will "talk" to you all in the morning!
