14 years! Wow! DH and I are going on ten in September and I can't believe it. We're not old enough to have been married that long!

Hi Jenn! I'm another Jen.

I'm tired. Went to a ballgame last night for DH's birthday but still had to get up at 3:50am. I have a lot of school work to do, too. And I still have hopes of working out today.

Happy Belated Birthday to Mr. Zippy!

I did, in fact, receive some very lovely flowers so I'm a happy camper. We're all stuffed with Greek food now and ready for bed. Got a doc appt at 8:15 tomorrow morning. Must be awake and perky.

Happy anniversary to the Sugar's and happy birthday to the Zippyguy! Sugar, I'm sooooo glad to hear that Mr. Plum didn't let you down in the flower department. If they only knew how much easier their lives would be if they'd always remember special occasions with a simple bouquet.

It was my day for the Dr. too. She gave me birth control pills to help me with the delicate problem that Sugar mentioned the other day. Hopefully it will slow things down a bit. Also she gave me some antidepressants to help me with my insomnia problem and my concentration problem and probably with my slightly depressed problem. I figure it's worth a try. Especially with the insomnia. I've got to get some sleep. I can't take any sleeping pills because of glaucoma.

I haven't had my heart to heart with the spare kid yet. Are you surprised?

Must be Doctor Day at WLB. I've been having some toothache pain for a bit and yesterday it became severe (after 5 o'clock of course), so this morning I got an appt with my dentist and he informed me that I have a dying tooth and he wants to do a root canal. Oh goodie for me. He packed it with some stuff to deaden things and put a temporary filling on top and I'm good to go for a month or two. Then I have to go to the "big city" for the root canal, apparently it's so complicated my dentist is handing me off to someone else. Holy crap! The good news is the pain is gone. Of course, the novacaine only just wore off, so that could be premature.

I need some sleep. I can't seem to figure out what to do with myself today anyway, so maybe I'll just go to bed.

Just when I was getting ready to tell the spare kid to move out, he spent all day working on my pond. Now how do I tell him to go????

It's hot here today - over 90 - I'll want to dive into that pond!

Kiwi, sorry to hear about the root canal. I need to go to the dentist too, but I'm afraid she's going to start finding "procedures" to do if I let her stir things up.

Now what was I going to say here? Can't remember. Must not have been important.

Happy Anniversary to the Plums.

Today is my 50 birthday. We are going out tonight to lovely dinner in lovely restaurant. I put DD in charge of presents. I am tired of getting presents I don't like . I like either GOOD jewelry or practical house stuff. Is that so hard? We have an excellent jeweler around here. AND we have HOme Depot.

How do I feel about turning 50? discuss.

Default Lushie Darling -- Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations on making 50 look fabulous !!
I hope you have a wonderful birthday today. Wish we could come help you celebrate!

Gee, Wabbit, he pulled one on you, didn't he? He must know that you're looking for him to move out. Actually I don't think that should change your tactics, it might even make it easier to have a positive sort of conversation about it. You can tell him how you appreciate his work, but that he needs to get on with his life and make plans to be independent. (Listen to me, I'm such a good back-seat driver )

I am covered with bug bites. They're driving me batty. And I'm getting them indoors -- we have these no-see-ums or midgies as they call them around here. They come right through the window screens and you can't feel them on your skin until they bite. AAAAAAAAAggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh

Hey, Bagzie, congrats making it to summer vacation! Isn't it a relief? and congrats on getting the DD through high school in one piece. Sounds like they had an exciting Prom night. eek.

I've got a few mosquito bites too, Kiwi, although I know we don't get anywhere near the bugs that you northeasterners get. These darn mosquitos don't start biting until dusk. I guess I should learn to go inside earlier. DS's other friend told me that he gave DS and our motorhome dweller a lecture on how they are taking advantage of DH & I. He told them they should be helping out. It must have worked, because the spare son had vacuumed and cleaned house when I got home yesterday. Even so, somebody's got to tell him he has to move. We just can't figure out who that somebody is. Kiwi???

Talking going buggy

Funny, I thought they were only called no-see-ums in the part of the woods that I'm from. 'Midgies' is cuter. Hardly any bugs here this year, thank goodness.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUNCHBUCKET! You can't possibly be 50. You make the rest of us look old and wrinkly. Here's hoping that the home improvement and jewelry fairies stop by your house with some decent stuff.

Tomorrow we're taking a trip to Hamlin, home of the Pied Piper and all those rats. It's only a half hour drive from here. I'm so cultured. There's a McDonald's there so the kids are happy.
