Good morning ladies! I have been fighting off some horrible tiredness...even though I did not stay up too late this weekend. It must be related to TOM. I have cleaned my kitchen and the little girls are picking up their toys. I have to work tonight, so I think I will leave the laundry for tomorrow. Eating was a little better, but I woke up hungry this morning, I will try for a little more protien today. We had leftovers for dinner last night, and I had chicken fajita's but I don't think that there was any chicken left. :D

Holly good to see you are back, you had such short posts for awhile I was wondering if you were doing too much. Just remember to take things one day at a time. ((hugs))

Annie~good for you for staying last night. I know we all feel like we have better things to do, but you made the time to focus on yourself Great job!!!

Debbie~Keep up the hard work!! it will payoff soon!

Danielle~I hope the ned change helps you out. It is difficult tryiong to lose weight, but having meds that make it harder is just infurriating. ((hugs))

Annie~you are doing great keep up with all your hard work!!!

Michelle~enjoy your break!!

Girlie~Great job gettiong up at 4:30!!!I can't even pull myself out of be at 5:45 to get in any extra exercise. Awsome willpower!!

Haven't touched the paper tiger but resolved other stuff and got the garbage ready to go out in the morning and entertained and fed 5 kids.

I am going to pick up our 1/4 of beef on the way home from the dentist. OH, DS had a filling fall out. We are going to the dentist at 2 :30.I am takng 3 other kids with me and leaving 3 here with a sitter.

I just received two panicked phone calls about me wanting to step down as SS super.

Need to put away hockey gear and clean rabbit cage and then feed the troops.

A beautiful cold sunny day out there.

Hello,
When I got home from work tonight I did not feel the need to eat something! I am so excited about that because I always feel like I want to eat when I get home.

I think that what did it for me is that last night when I got home I was hungry and I don't eat until after my workout. So, I had a small cube of cheese, a handful of peanuts, 2 celery sticks with peanut butter (thinly spread) and water. I put it all on a plate, went to the table and ate it. I think that doing that, and eating at the table instead of on the couch helped me to keep it in mind that I was feeding my body and not my soul.

I've been doing all my eating at the table and I've been brushing my teeth right afterwards.

Went to Pilates tonight and the Instructor wasn't there (it seems everyone local has the flu--Lord, don't let me get it...I don't want to get off track!), so the 4 of us who showed up for the class just went ahead and did it. Then I walked for 30 min and came home.

I feel it was a great day!

Debbie: You are right back in the swing of things. I'm so proud of you!

Holly: If you want to step down from the SS thing, do it. It's about you and what you can deal with in your life. You are such a busy person and when we give of ourselfs like that we should enjoy it. When we don't, it's time for someone else to do it.

UPS: I don't know how I would make it through the week without leftovers. We cook a lot on Saturday and Sunday and then eat off that all week. It's just me and DH but we are always on the go.

Annie: I really think it's important to stay for the meetings. I bet it makes a big difference this week.
Ok..time for a bath and then to bed with a magazine for about 15 mn so I can relax and drift to sleep.

OK everyone.....had a long talk with myself today (and a very close friend who truly understands me) and I need to make some changes.....

Lately I have been feeling overwhelmed at work and feeling a bit sorry for myself for various reasons. I can't help my work load, I know it will pass and all I can do is plug away....I will work hard at work, not waste so much time "networking" and I should be able to handle it.

Personally, I know some of what is getting me down, and it is okay to feel that, but I can't use it to sabotage myself. I will let myself feel bad about the things that really are bad for a short time, then move on....fighting it and turning to bad habits will not help at all!

Thanks to all of you for your words of support! I am working on a plan to get it back together! Some of the things I am going to do are:

1. cut back on processed foods (less frozen dinners and more natural foods)
2. drink more water....I like water, I just get lazy!
3. eat a whole grain or protein breakfast....breakfast bars and coffee is not enough!
4. when I eat out or am not in control of my portions~~~only eat half
5. do 40 minutes of cardio and 20 minutes of weights at the Y
6. swim 40 minutes one time a week
7. go to the Y at least 4 times a week

I am leaving for a trip on Sat......so I will spend the next week motivating myself to start this plan next Thursday the 16.....maybe try the 1/2 portions while I am gone, and definitely drinking more water! so I will be part of the way there!

Lilybutt.....gearing up to kick butt!

JigglyBits 03-08-2006 03:43 AM

annie:  you can do it
Ellen: protien keeps me full, I realized that when I switched to eggs and cheese for breakfast instead of my usual all bran and strawberries :)
Debbie: love watp! I ordered her 5 mile just last week :D
Susie: I usually eat my snacks on the go but I started putting everything on a plate and actually sit down to eat it. Makes me feel fuller for longer and not go back for another helping of snacks :D
lilybutt: I love your goals, I have a few similar ones lined up for myself and I'm trying really hard to stick to them. 6 glasses of water, 900 mins/4 weeks of exercise, stay OP and loose 6 lbs by end of march. A reward always helps me keep on track. If I make my 900 mins of exercise goal I'll get that pedometer I want :D

upswife 03-08-2006 08:44 AM

zGood morning all!! You all sound so on track and ready to go. You inspire me!! Mornings are not usually too bad, mainly afternoon/evening, so I am going Hard boil some eggs so I can have that for my afternoon snack. I have to get moving to get DS on the bus, but my goals for today are drink 64oz water and get my laundry done!!

Girlie 03-08-2006 11:23 AM

Good morning, all.
Started the day with 55 minutes of cardio - 4.3 miles today. I really want to make 4.5 miles soon.

Been having too many little bites and tastes lately...while cooking, etc. I cooked some rice last night, steamed some greens and baked Chinese marinated chicken and steamed dumplings. It was SO good!!!! But I nibbled so much during cooking, I was so hungry!

Gotta get some work done!

Girlie

Earlier today............Is cold left over pizza for breaky healthy if you eat it with some yellow pepper and strawberries???
When I was 40 lbs thinner i ate like this all the time.................................

I will empty dishwasher and then file away dirty dishes.
Play some piano.
3 Preschoolers here.
Going to the thrift shop to drop off culled books and then browse, of course.

DS was a trooper at the dentist. He had a big procedure done. He had a cavity with infected
nerves. He was in a lot of pain. They drilled, removed part of the nerve, medicated the rest and then filled the tooth. 1.5 hours and sweet boy never flinched.
I didn’t get my beef, will do that this morning or at 1pm. Was running late and picked up pizza. We ate quickly(1o min) and then off to gym for DD.
When you eat take out there are no stinkin dishes.

Feeling more positive about my life.
I put out to the SS that I would like to step down as superintendent. Got some panicked phone calls. They think I AM
the SS. They should pay me then , LOL!!
I volunteer a minimum of 30 hours a month. Imagine if I put that time into Avon..................

Just now........Got the beef!! we paid $1.79/pound. We have 199 lbs. MMMMMMMMMM!! Steak for supper!!!

The township is cutting down trees across the road. Hubby is debating leaving work early to scavenge the wood.A couple retired guys have been scooping it all. Free wood= free heat all winter. There are about 15 trees marked. 5 are down already.

Must go put meat in the freezer.

Oh, the kids have been asking for a guinea pig(DD)& hamster(DS). I put a flyer up in town looking for cages. We picked up one that is missing a part but can be worked with. Free is good.
I LOVE rodents. Hubby thinks they are something you whack with a shovel in the barn.

Debbie 03-08-2006 08:05 PM

Hey everyone,
I got up and did my watp as planned. I had a good day at work I felt in control.

B- oatmeal
L- kfc cruncher and potato wedges
s-100 cal sanck pack
D- Broccoli, tomato.

Pts??? but I'm sure it's over 26...LOL
I skipped curves because I had a active day and was tired. I've gone 2x this week and I'll go Sat.

Everyone have a great evening. :grouphug:

MyChoice2bfit 03-08-2006 09:43 PM

Hi,
I had a pretty good day. I did start to comfort myself with some cookies that we had at a tour lunch. I scarfed down 3 and then said to myself "STOP". I was comforting myself because I was feeling overwhelmed with all I had to get done. Why would I think that food would help that? It certainly wasn't going to do it for me now was it? That's the thought that I had and let it become my self talk.

Went to the Y and did a 2 mile walk. I was tired from not getting away from my desk all day so I opted to ship the weights (which surprises me because I like weights..I really don't like the cardio portion of my workouts) and go home to work on a TOPS contest that I agreed to have in place for tomorrow nights meeting (just an example of how I tend to take on to much).

That's it from here. It is inspiring to see people set goals for the day and then to post about them.

Hi all,
can I join you in the goal of 199? No I haven't read all the past posts to get to know you, there were just a few too many :)
I'm a mom of 2 and 28 years old, 5'2" and 204 pounds. I would really like to get under 200. I was 198 when I got pregnant with son #2 and need to get the last of this baby weight off! I gained 40 during the pregnancy and have 6 left to go. But with all the easter chocolate around I find it very hard and thought I would come to this site for support.
Thanks,
Diana

Good morning ladies!!!

Wlcome Diana!!!

I had second last night at dinner. I really shouldn't have, bit my mom made lasagna and it has been a long time since she made it. We also got some garlic bread, and I think it made me sick...so in the end I have ended up losing 1lb, but next time I will be better so I am not up half the night.

Dh and I joined the gym last night, I am so excited!!! I am going to go this afternoon, because the kids are really excited too and my DS would be crushed if I went without him (while he is in school this morning)

Goals for today: Drink 64 oz water, exercise for an hour, and finish my laundry since I did not get to finish folding yesterday.

Have a great day!!

Girlie 03-09-2006 01:44 PM

Good Morning.

I had an upset stomach last night. But a good day. I went to the gym and have been OP. I've still been nibbling so much though. We have a tin of caramel corn at home and it's going to be the demise of me!

Nothing much. I'm nervous about weigh-in on Saturday. I just want the number to go down!

Girlie

DewCan 03-09-2006 05:46 PM

Thanks Ellen,

joining a gym is a good idea, but I have a baby so it's not realistic for me.

Is there a certain day you all weigh in?

Thanks. Diana
