Good Morning to All of you Fine Ladies,
Well, today was weigh in day for me and I gained back the 1.5 that I lost last week. The scale never lies. I choose to see this as a wake up call and not let it spiral me downward. My plan for today will be to shape up and fly right. It is a beautiful day here in NY and will be high 50s. I will recruit my family and go for a walk out in the sunshine. I don't do that enough. I will plan out my menu which may involve eating out for lunch but I can do it. I have been dying for a hamburger lately and may have it, no cheese, no fries, with a side salad dressing on the side. That would be a great lifestyle adjustment choice and would satisfy my urge for the day. I will allow myself a single serve bag of 94% fat free popcorn as my snack in bed tonight. I will drink the freakin water until I float away. Tomorrow I have to go into the office to take care of a few loose ends and stop at the grocery store for some of the new sale items. So there is my weekend. I will do this. I will. I want to do this. I choose to do this. Holly- Happy Birthday to your Grandma. Enjoy your visit. Debbie- Congrats on the job, I think, lol. I have taken to planning it all out the night before or in the am just so that I have a guideline to follow for the day. At least if I veer off I will have some idea of the calories I have leftover to do so. Then I know it is my choice to go over for the day. Just a game I play with myself. Ellen- My fingers are crossed for your weigh in today. I hope it goes well. I'm sorry to hear your struggling but it sounds like you are still working out your plan. You will get there. I discovered the joys (and sweat) of the elliptical this week! Our middle school has some great fitness equipment and any staff in the district can use it. So, a colleague and I went over on Tuesday and I tried it for the first time. WOW! I was a sweaty mess, but I did 1500 steps in about 30 minutes! We were supposed to go again on Thursday, but she had a last minute parent meeting, so I went alone. I did another 1500 steps in a little less than 30 minutes! Hopefully, the scale will reward me on Tuesday!
Today DH and DS are gone to a Scout camp for the day. DD and I are just hanging out at home. I've already done Walk and Tone this morning (30 minutes) and am planning on more later. To those who are struggling: keep up the effort--it really will work (baby steps are better than NO steps!) Hope everyone has a great Saturday! I'm off to get some chores done. I've had a great day. My friend and I went thrift store shopping. I love it. She found several goodies. But shes a size 14. I didn't find anything. Sometimes it's as much the hunt as the find We stopped in at Bennigans for lunch. I didn't do too bad. I had 27 pts for the day. Did lots of walking :carrot: Michele: :cp: great job with the exercise. Suzy: Forgive yourself and get back into the race. Debbie~COngrats on the job. I hope it does not prove to be too full of stress. Michelle~Great job on the exercise!! I have heard such good things about elipticals. Very busy weekend, but so totally worth it. DH and I went out with some friends Sat night and I thought, that with the alchohol and the food (very greasy) I was going to gain, or stay the same, but I weighd in and I actually lost 4lbs fromlast week. I know most of that was water from sodium, but it does give me a boost. Well, I am being very antisocial with my dad right now, so I will talk to you ladies later. |

I'm always running behind these days! When I weighed in on Thursday I stayed the same. I thought that was ok for a no exercise week. I'm feeling somewhat better but still coughing and my chest feels like it rattles when I breathe. I think I need to call the doctor again. I plan on doing that tomorrow. I don't have time to be sick! (who does?!). I got up this morning and did my Power Walk-Away-The Pounds DVD. It felt good to work out. My body was ready to move. I have been writing down my food and I know it's time to see how much I'm consuming number wise. I like to log my food in fitday, but I don't have time to do that. A friend suggested that I use the Point System and gave me her book and this slide thing that helps you figure points. So I'm going to do that for the month of Feburary (and my Febuarary is starting tomorrow-- a few days early). I know a lot of you use the point system so suggestions are welcome here. Debbie: I'm really happy about your new job. I know you have been wanting it for a long time. Let us know how the first day goes. That's all the time I have this evening. I did read all the posts. I hope everyone had a great w-end. I did. I'm excited about work tomorrow. I hope it goes well. I messed around and missed b-fast. I ate a big lunch. Then I ended up just snacking for dinner. I ate a piece of cheddar cheese and some pecans. crazy..I know. It just seemed to be what I wanted. Susie::balloons: Hope you feel better soon. I love the point system. It takes a little practice, but it is really easy. Did you get the book with the point for the different resturants? Thats really helpful if you eat out much. I am back!
It has been quite awhile...but decided to stop back in. My eating has not been in control and my exercise has been nonexistent.:dunno: My job has been crazy…working nights, traveling overnight, getting up early to travel, just nuts!!!! But today is my 44th birthday :hb: and I want so much to be in control. Weight loss and exercise is a bonus, just want to control my life, or at least the parts that I can! So I am back! :dizzy:

Good Morning Everyone.....
Sounds like we have all had ups and downs, and trying to gain control when we get outta control. That is what this has been about, and will be till we all are at goal. Just keep on trying. Been having back spasms till I finally had to go to the doctor. She gave me muscle relaxors. I had never taken them before, and swear I never will again. I slept from Friday night at 9 pm till Saturday morning at 11:30, then took a nap in the afternoon. I do not like feeling like a zombie. I am feeling better today. Back spasms in control. I worked yesterday morning for 7 hours in accounting. Then came home a vegged the rest of the afternoon. Food has been ok, exercise-ziltch. Happy Birthday to Angie (we are the same age also) and happy birthday to Holly's grandma. My kids are 17 & 20. Welcome to all the newbies. Have a wonderful Monday! (((HUGS))) Annie |

How is everyone today? I am doing well. I had a great weekend with my family. I managed to stay within my calorie range and get some exercise in. I also drank a ton of water. So I feel ready to start a great week. Wow, that was way to perky for a Monday morning. My little one (age 7) is home today with a sore throat. I'll have to get him to the doctor this morning. He tends to get the strep. Hi Annie- Was wondering how you were doing. Sorry to hear about the back spasms. They can really be bothersome. Those muscle relaxers really threw you for a loop, huh? Do not operate heaavy machinery on those babies, lol. Hope you feel better soon. Welcome Back Lily. Control is so hard. Lack of it snaeaks up so fast, before we even realize. That's why we have to stay on our toes and be aware all the time of what we are doing and eating. You've taken a great first step by seeking support. Good to see you. Hi Debbie- Glad you had a good weekend. I did too. I like the way you adjusted your meals to fit into your lifestyle. Way to go. Susie- Glad you are starting to feel better and get back into the swing of things but I am sorry to hear you are still not 100%. Good luck with the doctor, sounds like a chest cold now. I used to count points a long while ago and it is successful. A new way to look at counting your daily food intake. Enjoy! Food journaling and adding it all up is the a great way to uncover this mystery of yours. You try so hard and don't deserve to have this happening to you. Congrats Ellen- Great job on the 4 pound loss. Is that the secret? A night out on the town. I can do that. Lol. Keep up the great work. Wow Michele- Great job with the exercise. My name is Sunshine I have been at 3 fat chicks for awhile but I started at the 300 plus club and I thought I would join here now since 199 is knock at my door really soon! Lets see I have been overweight pretty much my whole life! I finally had enough and decided to change my life! So on March 25, 2005 I started my low fat diet and exercise rountine and as of to date I have lost 84 pds and 4 dress sizes and loving it!! Hope to talk and get to know everyone!! Good Luck to all! |

Well, I ahve been cought with this flu bug. I know working ain a dr's office that I usually catch it once a year, but I was hoping to avoid it this time around. Not too bad, just some aches and pains and a little fever, but I have been sleeping all day (with no relaxors) My night out was not typical, we went to Dave and Busters (Like a chuckie cheeses for adults) and I was standing or walk ing all night. plus a busy morning at work, I think I was on my feet literall all day, except when in the car. Well ladies, I need to go lay down again. Hope everyone has a great day!!
