Debbie~ I am not sure how great Iam doing. I have been flying for a week and doing baby steps starting yesterday. I have my journal set up and trying very hard to do things from my lists. Today i got my hair done and went for groceries. A few things fell to the wayside and then I have outside committments that need to be met. I need to type and send some minutes from a meeting and do some book work. I had a BIG moment of<" this is just too overwhelming". I can ge those things done when my house is a dump. SIGH! I did clean the fridge and make a list before shopping. I did do my morning routine and get dressed to shoes.I wrote a letter to my sitting families re:rate change. It is 8:30pm and I feel too tired to do dishes and it is time to put the kids to bed.feeling like this will be impossible to maintain.

I got the underneath parts of my hair dyed dark brown and then red and blonde highlight through the top.Feeling cool.LOL!

Food has been quite good. I am aiming to be better focussed tomorrow.

upswife 01-02-2006 10:34 PM

Good Evening all! Not a bad day. Over ate a breakfast a little, but was not hungry for the rest of the day. I only had 2 small tacos for dinner. Water was a little short, But I had over a gallon yesterday so maybe it will ballance out? DH is off one more day then he goes back to work on Wed. DS also goes back to school on Wed too, so I will get a little routine back in my life. My mom is dropping off my siblings Wed night too. This site is going to be my only solace for 3.5 weeks. I usually talk to my mom everyday, so it will be weird not calling her. Just a couple of errands for tomorrow. New/used car needs new windshield, eye doc appt, and van needs new tires. will check out Home depot while van is getting tires. Kids actually like going there.

We took the kiddies to Chuckie Cheese's today. We were there for 3.5 hours! I could not believe it. THey behaved very well. all got some little toys with their tickets. They are all sleeping soundly~exteremly exhausted after a couple of long days.

I will re-start my exercise on Wed. I WILL get up early to get it in b4 DS goes to school. Ladies (and Gents) I need my will power back!! Where did it go??

Off to enjoy my last day of sanity b4 I have 6kiddos running me ragged.

Debbie 01-02-2006 11:02 PM

Good evening everyone,
They just picked up dgs. He is such a great kiddo. I did fair on food today.
I got in my exercise but I'm still short on my water.

Charlie: :welcome3: Good job!!! 3lbs is a great loss. Keep it up.

Ups: :dizzy: WOW! You and Holly's days sound so much alike.

Holly: It does seem so overwhelming. I have so much stuff that dusting is a nightmare. I have 308 shot glasses. That doesn't include the steins, ect. We don't have a drinking problem. I have a collecting problem. I have at least 1 shot glass from every state. And few international. several are from different Harley shops. We knocked out one wall and built a bar to display all of them.
It's cute but it has to be dusted!!! It's so dry and dusty here we should dust daily. I can't seem to manage that. I've wondered if a humidifier might help keep it from being so bad. I'm afraid it would just make mud...LOL

It's bedtime, goodnight chicks

morning chicks,
well i did it....yesterday was my very first day at a gym ever in my life! it wasn't bad, it was very busy there. everyone else seemed to know what they were doing. i spent 30 mins on a cross trainer and then walked 1/2 mile on the track and then spent 20 mins on a recumbant (sp?) bike. both machines were at minimal resistance. i did all of this in 1 hour i felt good afterwards and still feel pretty good today. i figure slowly i will get to know all the machines and what they do. for now i am just trying them out one by one. today i planned out all the food really well and will do my best to stick with it. hope you all have a great day!!

Debbie 01-03-2006 04:13 PM

MyChoice2bfit 01-04-2006 07:35 AM

Hello All,
I tried to get here yesterday but everytime I went to post I was told the server was too busy. Must be a lot of people out there looking for support in their weight loss journey...can't blame them...I know this site has helped me!

I had a great day yesterday food wise, exercise wise; I"m really feeling that Pilates class this morning! I'm working out at lunch time today because tonight I'm going to the movies with the Chickes group. My challenge will be not to give into peer pressure and have something at Damon's afterwards when we are all sitting around and talking. Anyone have any ideas what I could have so I feel like I'm a part of the group and not really add calories for the day?

Did anyone watch Oprah yesterday? I think it was a rerun but I never get to see her show due to work, so I decided to tape it. It was on a lady who lost 300 lbs. Very insightful and inspiring for me. Last night when I thought that I might have just one more piece of candy I thought about her and what all she has endured to loose that weight and rid her body of that extra skin. I know I'm going to have some loose skin but it's not looking to bad (maybe because with traditional weight loss a person looses it slower and the skin doesn't get so saggy?) and I of couse am looking to loose 100 lbs, not 300, but I told myself that person could have easily been me if I hadn't decided to do something about my weight. I don't think I could endure those surguries for the skin removal. Thinking about that kept me from thinking "one more piece won't hurt". I see where I might be if I kept that sort of thinking up.

Jodi: I'm so PROUD of you for going to the gym. It's hard to walk in there when you feel like you don't know what to do and everyone else looks like they do. Just remember that they all had a time when they didn't know how to use the machines eithier. Does your gym offer assistance to first-timers to get you started?
What magazine did you relax with last night? I'm a magazine junkie...it's something about those glossy covers!

Debbie: I hope your headache went away. Did the water help? I read somewhere that when we are dehydrated we can get headaches.

Holly: How did you do on that list? I think you need to schedule some down time in there! Your hair sounds cool!

Time for me to get to work ladies.
Susie

Hollyhock 01-04-2006 08:32 AM

Wednesday already!
I slept til 7:30. I will still do my morning routine within an hour. It will be more practical once the kids are in school next week. They have been staying up every night til 9:30 pm watching Junior World Hockey. Go Canada!!!! We are doing great. A few players are from our local team!!!! DS just glows when watching. I swear the only time he is at peace is when he is involved in hockey.
I followed my routines yesterday and accomplished most. In the evening I got pooped and a little disgruntled so I went and watched TV.
Hubby’s daily “job” is to clear the table and sweep the kitchen floor. He didn’t do it last night and this morning he only put plates in the dishwasher. Then I get all “whatever”. The kids have been GREAT with putting their own stuff away as they use it or after supper. It will be more stressful for DS when he is back in school.
The only thing on the diningroom table are my daycare time sheets. I need to find a home for them that is handy.

Is it an excuse if I dont get to things in the evening if I get a headache from allergies and I am tired from the pain?
If i take a whole pill I get agitated so I have been taking 1/2. It drives me batty that I HAVE to take meds to feel good.
I dont like being allergic to things in our world that are just a part of nature.

Food was good yesterday. I am not being mindful enough BUT I am getting all my fruits and veg in. 1 thing at a time.

I have a team leader dinner meeting for Avon tonight.

4 kids plus my 2 today. It is 6c/41f today, 80% rain. Hubby may be back home. I hope he works at the bathrom or watches the kids and I can get to some projects. I have a streamer trunk from my great grandma that needs to be refinished and I need the storage space. I have all the stuff to do it.

I want to do up a new budget for the year too.

The Sc minutes are done,Avon books prepped and i paid and filled bills. I need to do up a SS schedule and church newsletter, call B and J.

Hmmmmmmmmm...spose that’s it.

Susie~ I do schedule down time at 1pm and 10 pm and when i come here to post is ME time. Good luck with your day.

Keep it up ladies.

upswife 01-04-2006 01:22 PM

Hi all I am here. THe dang computer just lost my post. I am not doing well, but I am going to try a new routine for the rest of this week. Hopefully it will help keep me motivated. ((HUGS)) to all

justjodi 01-04-2006 07:42 PM

hi chicks,
a pretty good day here today. my biggest deal yesterday was i did not binge before bed last night. this is a huge deal as i have recently gotten into the routine of crawling into bed at night with some milk and cookies to watch tv. last night i curled up with DH before he left for work and then i grabbed a good mag and read for a bit no food involved. keeping my fingers crossed to do the same tonight. i can't fit the Y in again until friday afternoon that is my short day at work and so i am packing up in the morning and then going straight there. one more time over the weekend and i'll get my 3x in for the week. food was good today, it was a little tough getting going this morning but i forced myself to pack a lunch and eat something for b-fast before running out to work. i can do this!

mychoice- i am a total mag junkie, i just can't resist them. i think it is the shiny pages also. i read the O magazine i love oprah. they do have assistance at my Y but it was crazy there on monday and there was no one free to help so i just jumped in and got started. my biggest question maybe one of you can point me in the right direction is how long do you stay on the machine? just till you want to get off? or is there like a set rule like....you should do 20mins on the elliptical for a beginner? i guess i'll get it all figured out. as soon as it slows down there a little i'll make an appt with a trainer and get to know the place a little better. for now i'm just totally elated i was able to go in there and sweat in front of strangers and no one cared, you know?? like no one looked at me like "that fat lady huffing on the bike" ROFL that was my biggest fear believe it or not.

holly- as busy as evr i see! make sure you keep your me time appts you need that just for you. my DH is not a big helper around the house either. he does some when he feels like it but never consistantly, i am thankful for him running the sweeper now and then. ugggg men!!! hope the allergies get better!

upswife - good luck with the new routine! hang in there!!!

well if i missed any chicks i'm sorry hugs to all have a great night!!

Debbie 01-04-2006 08:14 PM

Hey everyone,
I made it to curves this am. I used 23.5 of my 28 food pts.
I had a good day at work...relaxed. That's unusal.

Holly: I love to read your scheldules. I am a spontanous person and have trouble sticking to scheldule. I get easily distracted...:dizzy:

Jodi: :bravo: Good job getting to the y and passing on the cookies and milk.

Ups:  Good luck with your new routine. Just keep trying to you find something that works for you.

Susie: I do tend to get h-aches when I get dehyrdrated. Believe it or not I also have a problem with confusion.

Have a great evening, I'm going to watch the new Biggest Looser tonight.
You never know where a great idea might come from.
