Angry Having a bad day.......

I'm really looking forward to being a part of this forum. I'm going to need all the outside support I can get.

Today has been hard because my husband is on this diet too. He weighs 250lbs. He complains all the time that he's fat but yet one week on this and he'd ready to throw in the towel....he's made me so angry today!

He acts like because we ate good all week we can "treat" ourselves today and I keep telling him no. I caught him on the internet looking at menus seeing where had light food...but the thing is if we went out to eat saying we'd order light once we got there we wouldn't. We are still to new into this to be able to say no.

He says he's starving. I told him to go take a walk instead of eating and he got mad. He's been mad all day at me over this. I have got to lose weight and I thought it would be easier with us doing it together but he's driving me nuts right now. I just want this day to be over with. it's easier to diet when I'm at work. The people their bring in all kinds of bad foods but at least they don't get mad when you say no thanks and try to force you to eat it.

I know I can do this..... say a prayer for me ladies please. Have any of you run into this problem?

See you tomorrow...hopefully a better day.
Stacy

Hi Stacy,
I am sorry that you are having such a frustrating day. Doing it together can be both supportive and maddening. As you know, food is attached to our emotions. He is probably feeling the "withdrawal" pains of a new lifestyle. Congrats to you for staying with it. He will be there for you someday.

Hello All,
It's been a few days, and I hate to be gone for a long time! It was just that things got so busy I barely had time to sit down and look at my email.

Thank you to all of you who checked out my blog. Feel free to check it at anytime. I'm going to try to post to it at least 3 days a week. Eventually I want to post 7 days a week, but I'm taking it a bit at a time.

I just wrote a post and then when I went to publish it wasn't there! Frustrating!! I'll try again later.

I had a small loss at my TOPS weighin on Thursday, down .50 lbs. I was a little disappointed it wasn't more. I'll just keep working on it the way I have been since I got myself back on track about 3 weeks ago. It will show up eventually.

My yearly gyno appt went well. He pronounced me "gynocological fit"--I laughed and said at least something about my body is fit!!

I want to welcome all the Newbies and those that have returned. It's great to have you with us.

I promise to be here more this week; I'm going to take the time even when it isn't there!

Susie

Stacy:
All you can really do is set a good example for dh. You know no one can get us to change till we are ready. When you cook keep fixing healthy foods. Do that because you love him and want him healthy.
Maybe as you loose and he see how much energy you have, and how great you look. He'll decide it worth it.
It does take a while for your body to adjust to a new way of life. Don't let it put a strain on your marriage also. You cant shame him or nag him into loosing. Tell him you ARE going to do this and you could really use his support. Tell him it is a great couples thing. Challenge him.
Do a bet and see who looses 20lbs first. Make it fun. Life is too short to be mad....

P.S. Jan 11 dh and I had our 32 anniversary.

Evening all!

Stacy, I'm so sorry. My husband and I do the same thing and nothing ever seems to work. He can even drop 25 lbs in two weeks and then get bored with what he can eat and then binge. We used to try the same diets, but we came to the conclusion that he can't diet the same way I can with the same foods. So now I just try to encourage him to have some portion control. I haven't given up on him, but I made a decision that I will encourage him without sacrificing my own weightloss goals. Hang in there.

Rise n' Shine!

So far so good, I've been up 30 minutes and haven't cheated yet! I know, I know, it's only 30 minutes. But a babystep is a babystep!

I hope all of you are having great Monday mornings and for those of you who weigh in on Mondays, I hope you are pleasantly surprised by the results.

Congratulations Nan. 30 Minutes is 30 minutes. Take what you can get, lol.
Debbie- Congrats on 32 years! Wow, I am only at lucky 13.
Susie- I am glad to hear you are gynocologically fit and congrats on the .5. It counts. It all counts. The loss will catch up.
Ellen- It's Monday. Time to get back on track. You can do it.
Holly- What a nice family you have to take care of you like that. Sweet. It's nice to hear how motivated you are.
Annie- Recommit. We'll just keep trying until we get it right. Each step we take is good for us.

I had a good weekend. A little episode with some cheddar goldfish but other than that ok. I am looking forward to a good week OP and weigh in on Sat.
Have a great day.

Hi all I am going to take today as my weigh in. I brought the kiddies back to my dad for the weekend, but he doesn't get home until late fridaynight, so I just stayed there, and went directly to work on Sat. So, I did not weigh in on my scale on Sat. I am off to a slow start, but I am doing good. I exercised already, now I just have to shower, then lunch for all the kids and off to run some errand~just trying to get them out of the house for a little while. I don't think I did badly over the weekend. I am really not trying to lose while I have the extra kids here. I am just maintaining for now and will really try to recommit to the dietafter my cruise. DH and I leave feb6! I just can't wait!! I am happy with my loss so far, and am not going to try to push. I am afraid I would go nuts. and I need to be all here for the kiddies.

Don't get me wrong, I am still watching what I eat, but I am not being overly strict. Well, I have to get running, I need to go loosen up in the shower!!

Hello,
I had a little trouble at lunch time with some oatmeal pecan cookies. I had 3, then I had 3 more! I heard my little voice saying they will be there tomorrow but I didn't even listen to it. I just ate it. Next time, I'm picking up the phone and calling someone to tell them what I'm about to do. I ate them because I was home alone and I thought, it won't count..no one will know. Well I know it, and the scales will know it if I keep doing that! So, I'm hear to tell the world that I did it. Next time I'll tell the world I'm thinking about it before I do it. I just need to find about 3 people I can call and confess to before I do it. I think 3 is a good number because if one isn't available then I can move on to the next person. I will not let this derail me and I don't need to start over. Just move on and next time handle it differently!

Stacy: We can only be responsible for ourselves and no one else. Just show DH love and compassion and tell him that this is important for you to do even if he doesn't want to. Then do what you need to do.

Holly: Drink some water....enjoy the potluck but be careful!

Huggss to anyone I missed!

Thumbs up Very proud of myself today!!!!

It's great coming in from work, jumping on here and reading what you guys have to say. Thanks so much to everyone for helping me through yesterday with the hubby. He wasn't much better today but I just told him that if he doesn't want to diet that is fine but to not try to sway me into going off of it cause I don't want to.

He's iming me now from work asking me if we can go out to eat!!!!

Anyway today at work was so busy......I didn't have time to think about food. I left work after a 10 1/2 hour day and stopped by the store and it was right across from McDonalds and those fries were just calling my name but I drove on past. Then I had to run into Kroger and I found myself going up and down the aisles wanting something sweet and chocolatey. I picked up two or three things but I put them back down. I got what I ran in there for and literally ran out of the store, came home and had a whipped chocolate cherry yogurt. I know this doesn't sound like much but, you guys, for me this is huge!!!! This was such a big deal to me that I left the store without buying any food.....

Need to go spend some time with the children and cook dinner. Hope you all have a wonderful night!!

Bye,
Stacy

Congradulations Stacey!!!! That is quite an accomplishment. It is so hard not to pick up bad things at the store, when you are nor hungry, but when you are staving it can be impossible. Happy dance for you

Susie~don't worry too much about the cookies tomorrow is another day. Just be sure to drink your water and you should be fine.

I did not do good at all today. I sat down and had 3 (yes count them 3) take 5 bars. I feel so bad. I even felt sick afterwards. Then after some errands, I stopped at starbucks and had a carmel frap-but only a small. I am going to have one small helping od pasta now, and start again tomorrow.

Later chicas!

Hey everyone,
I've had a fair day. I almost stayed op. My workout at curves went well. My big oops was some mini m m's. We all have our personal struggles...LOL
If this was easy there wouldn't be anyone overweight.

Stacy: You rock!!!

Ups and susie: forgive yourselves. You'll do better tomorrow.

Holly: Enjoy your potluck. I have 0 control at potlucks and buffets. They are truly bad news for me.

Nan: Your doing great...You go girl

Everyone have a great evening.

Evenin' All!

Today was good in many respects: There was a pizza party at work with cake and I only had one piece and then kept away from the munchies by working through lunch. That's a pretty big victory for me!

Stacy! - YOU GO GIRL!!!
Ups and susie - Hang in there and don't beat yourselves up over it. Tomorrow is another day.
Holly - I'm saying a willpower prayer right now and it's got your name all over it. I would be DONE at a potluck - just done!
Debbie - I have always believed that the mini m&ms contain mini calories. You'll burn those bad boys off in no time.

If I've missed anyone, please forgive me. I need to get my sorry butt to bed. Tomorrow is going to be a long day.

Nan
