  • :hugs: to all the ladies!
Holly: I'm really sorry about your cat, I hope everything goes well for you!
Shawna: Welcome to the group, I'm 211 too

I'm trying to re-commit to my diet, staying under 26pts per day. I'm also joining a challenge to do 900mins worth of exercise for 30 days. Thats about 45 mins per day, 5 days a week, if anyone's interested to join. I only started yesterday, and I made an excel sheet to keep track, with little stars I color in for each exercise
I'm trying to take it day by day. If I focus on today only I'm sure I'll do better than trying to fix my whole week.
    Keep it up ladies!
  • Hello,
I will keep this short but I wanted to get here and report in. Doing well with the food and exercise today. Feeling like I want to kick it up a notch...I do this when I get exicted and then fizzle..I will not fizzle...focusing on slow and steady and smooth!

I was successful in finding 3 bras that fit. I was measured at 3 stores...everyone measured me the same. 42 C or 40D. The last store I went into this lady asked me "do you want measured or do you want fitted". I answered fitted and for the next 45 min to an hour, I tried on a lot of different bras. This woman knew what she was doing. She looked at the one I had (which was the right size by measuring) but it didn't give me enough coverage...I was always coming out the bottom. I ended up with a 40DD and it looks amazing under my clothes. This woman was Good!! Also, they are Bali bras and I got them for $15.00 each. I thought what a great deal. I would have paid the orginal $30.00 each because they really made me look good and today people kept saying I looked thinner..i would tend to think it was because the "girls" were up where they belonged!

    That's my shopping story.

Welcome to Shanna: I'm a TOPS gal too! Keep up the good work.

Ok..time for bed. See you tomorrow.
    Susie
  • Susie: I can relate to the bra story. I too got complements only after changing my bra size to something that actually fits better. I used to wear a B34 and now a C 36 which is more comfy!.
  • Good morning everyone,
Sorry I haven't been here lately. I'm still trying to adjust to working ft again.
I've been struggling with eating the last couple of days. I've just been hungry all the time. I sure hope it passes soon. I've been over on my daily pts some,
but I stayed within my weekly.
I've made it to curves 3x a week, But I just don't get as good a workout in the evenings. I'm a morning person. I just drag my way thru my workouts in the evenings. Maybe it will get better.

    Welcome to everyone new.

I'll have to do personals later
  • Good morning all! I have been really worn out taking care of all my sickies! But they are doing better and hopefully we are off to a great restart! Eating has been good, but I need to get my exercise back in. I have been doing very minimal for the last two weeks. I am recommitting to lose some weight before easter!

Will check in later-I have laundry waiting!
  • Hi,
Ok..in our area it's Girl Scout cookie time. Yes, I ordered a couple of boxes. I'm not letting myself alone in the house with them; I am a secret eater. I have had a couple each evening. A serving size is 2 (why can't it be 4?! lol)

I just got back from a great 2 mile walk at the Y and some stretching. I love to stretch.

Hubby is fixing dinner, then we will get things cleaned up and watch a movie. I'm looking forward to relaxing.

Debbie: You have stayed in your weekly points and that's what's going to count at the end. Don't get to hard on yourself. You have made a change in your life with going part time and you are just figuring it out to fit it to you. I know you will do it!

UPS: At least you have been doing some exericse. I bet there was a time you didn't do any..so give yourself credit for that and tomorrow just step it up a bit.

Jiggly: It's amazing what a proper fit can do for a person!

    Dinner is ready. Bye, Bye!
    Susie
  • Well on my crazy roller coaster of weight loss in the last couple of years the last time I was under 200 was back in September so I desperately want to be there again.. *sigh* I cut back on sodas, drink more water, count my calories and exercise at least 4 times a week.. Since Sept. I have gone up to my highest weight and just started back on this journey a couple weeks ago..so here is looking for the scale to be under 200 I HOPE in a month... That might be a little unrealistic though since I have 12 pounds to go to be there though..so maybe in two months..*sigh*
  • Hello Ladies.

Sounds like everyone is basically doing well with healthier lives, with a few challenges. Not bad, ladies.

My first weigh in at WW was down 10.6, but remember I gained back the original 25 I had lost last time. Sigh. I am not tell to many people in my life that I am back at WW, it was too much pressure last time. I feel more comfortable this time.

We are having huge division meetings here at work, and man is it running me ragged. Sheesh. One more week of this chaos, then back to the normal work routine.

With all the OT I have been working the last year or so, has enabled me, my two children (17 & 20) and my bestest GF to go to the Bahamas for 5 days. We will be leaving May 29, returning on June 2. It was very kind of her husband to "share" my GF. They are so much in love, married 15 years, and have only been separated for 3 days at a time, so 5 days was a big ordeal for him, not her really, haha.

It is GS cookie time here also. I bought 6 boxes, put 3 out on the counter for sharing here at work. (Have only ate a few but counted them towards my WW points). One box for my dd and one for my ds, the other my dad.

    Holly - how's the kitty?

Anyway, everyone stay focused and happy.

    (((Hugs)))

  • So glad tomorrow is Friday....I have had a busy week at work this week, not a lot of time to get things done....just time to deal with teachers and kids, but they are why I am there, the paperwork can wait.

Diet is still the same....trying and feeling like I am not making any progress...I guess maintaining is just as important as losing. I actually have had thought of trying some of that stuff they sell on TV all the time...but I know it doesn't work either!

Exercise hasn't been great this week either, went Monday and worked hard, then worked late Tuesday so unable to make it. Wednesday I was so sore....my knees were killing me...actually slept with a heating pad on them! They are better today, but had to work late at the last minute...so I WILL go on Saturday!!!

I did get a skirt/jacket outfit for my brothers wedding.....saw one I liked on line at JCP, so stopped at the store to see if they had it, they did but not my size, so ordered it instead....hope it fits!!!

    TGIF everyone!
  • Annie175--You could also try putting a few boxes of the GS cookies in the freezer so you won't be tempted by them. Just a suggestion.
  • Good Morning Everyone!

Gremlina-You are so right on the freezer thing. My tiny little 20 yr old daughter puts her box of peanut butter patties in the freezer and she is still eating them in June.

Didn't have dinner last night as I had eaten all my points by 2 pm yesterday (GS cookies). Wasn't hungry anyway.

Said so-long to my BF as he took a position in Portland, Oregon. He begged me to come along, but it was a no brainer for me. For the first time in 20 years, after divorcing, I am happy, financially secure (as much as possible), have a great job that I love, after a 1.5 yr no job situation, and I couldn't leave my kids, even tho they are pretty much raised. BF said it was temporary and that he was going to try to find something back here in Indy. We will see.

Anyway, everyone have a marvelous day and a wonderful weekend.

    Annie
  • lily~I am happy that you found a nice suit for your brother's wedding. I Hope it fits too! (Just went through this, and the minute it got here I tried it on)

Annie~Sorry to hear the BF had to move away. But I think you made the right decision. We have to take care of our selves. I hope he can find a job closer to home soon.

Well, I do weigh myself everyday, but I cound Sat as my official WI day, but I was so excited this AM...I have finally broken my plateu..I have been floating between the same 5-7lbs, but have not broken through until today!! It has really helped my spirit and I am extra motivated to do even better today!

On the girl scout cookies..Definitely freez them. I had a package of thin mints in there for over 6 months last year and they were fine. (I forgot about them) If you can't have one or two, you may just want to give them away to a food pantry. The littel girls we ordered from last year moved, so I did not get any this year. I guess it just saves me the calrories. But I will miss my samoas(I think they call them Carmel Delights now)

Have a great OP day ladies!!!
  • I am glad it is Friday. Although the week has zoooooooomed by.

The HUGE, gaping holes in my bathroom walls that have been there ALL of DD’s (5.5 years)life are covered in drywall. It is a major gift and blessing!!!! DH put in a light fixture and an outlet too!!!! IS it possible the room will be completed??????

    Slept 7.5 hours!!

Enjoyed Idol. I have a crush on Bucky. He is a sweety. My picks are Paris, Bucky, Elliott, Taylor and Chris and the last girl who sang(cant remember her name).
Enjoyed Dancing with ther Stars too. Drew gets my vote. Loved the cowboy routine.

Did NOT over eat yesterday. I desperately wanted to munch while watching tv last night. I had a small bowl of cereal and stopped at that!!!!!!!! No cheese, no crackers, no chips, no plate of leftovers.............

I have been fighting a headache all day and just took some Advil.

I have a lot of tidyng to do!!!!

4 kids coming at 3:40 form school. 1 napping, 2 gone home already.
    Hockey at 7:30.

    HUGS to all!!
  • Good afternoon all!

Today is Friday and I'm home because I work the weekend. I'm starting to burn out on the diet and new job. I love the concept of what I do, but am burning out quickly. Maybe at this stage of my life I should just be a worker bee--too much going on in my personal life I guess. I can't seem to lose weight regardless of what I do and the worst part is that I feel so unsatisfied I just want to eat every fattening thing I come across. Oh well, at least I've only gained 2 lbs. I can get back on track when I'm up to it. Sorry it's taken me so long to post, but I've been so darned tired lately. I'm going in to the doctor's on Tuesday to see if it's my thyroid. I have a serious history of thyroid disease in my family. I know this sounds stupid, but I'm hoping that's what is causing this. The alternative would not be pretty.

Hope all of you are well and losing steadily,

    Nan
  • i have to join this thread! just thinking of being out of the "terrible twos" makes me want to dance!!! i need to lose i think 33 to be outta this category, and i possibly want to get there by my half birthday on may 21! what a nice gift to myself... weighing 199!!!!!!!!!
