Good morning everyone,
Once again I am pressed for time. I got up and fixed our dinner. Since dh leaves for work before I get home that the way I'm sure he eats something besides fast food.
I missed my June goal. I was still down 2lbs. I'm ok with that. I really expected a gain. I made my July goal 5lbs also. MAYBE...
I'll have to do personals this pm.
Everyone just know I'm thinking about ya'll

Caro, I am SO with you. I'm still on cloud 9 just because I'm under 220. I haven't been under 220 in 3 1/2 years! I took my measurements on the 26th (my diet "anniversary") and will take them again the 26th of this month. A ways away, but I guess that means I've got plenty of time to make some progress.

Susie, thank you. I'm really proud of myself for not giving up. Did you get in a workout to burn off that candy bar?

Hollyhock, I'm glad you're okay. Can you get an allergy test to find out what caused it? You can ask to have a blood draw to do it, you don't need to do the torture chamber version with tons of needle pricks on your skin. It may be worth finding out what caused it since it was such a strong reaction.

Debbie, 2 pounds is 2 pounds and it's still something to be proud of. I bet you can lose 5 pounds for July.

Oh my....I have been so good lately...even have managed to have ice cream in the house and have eaten my ration of 1/2 cup.....but seems like no changes in weight....Seems like I get to this weight, around 238-240, and I get stuck. I exercised but ended up with a new blister.....new shoes and a wrinkled sock...grrrrrr, so took the day off so not to irrate it anymore....I will do my arm weights later.

Anyway, just wanted to check in....I am here, but haven't felt like I have much to contribute....just trying hard to stay the course!

Holly....hope the itchies are better!

Grey....WOW under 220....you are my idol!!!!

Susie...just stay the course....you can beat yourself up over that....it is all about moderation!

Later chickies!

I need to bake a cake for the potluck tomorrow. I made cookies ans muffins yesterday aft. It is hubby’s family reunion weekend. We all camp but have a dinner on Sat and the non campers come too. It is wonderful. I am looking forward to swimming and biking.
I would like to get the house as tidy as possible.I am hoping some kids will help.
So much to do. Breathe. I will make a list.
Food was good.Water has be spectacular.Exercise has been scratching.

Holly- Glad to hear you`re feeling better! Wish you and yours a great time this weeekend. Hope you get some help with the house!! How nice it`ll be to come home to a spotless house to relax in!

Gray- I was so happy to get below 220 also! Imagine how good 199 will feel!? I`m with you though... I`m enjoying the ride, all other failed attempts it felt like such a chore. I`m thinking less of my ultimate goal and more about small goals (just let me get through today!). I`ve done great with the scale, the numbers just aren`t that important cause I know I`m doing well and feeling great. I`m glad to have nipped that in the bud. Do you still plan to weigh on Wed and Saturdays? I`m aiming for once a week now, so I`ll be weighing on Tuesday if I wait the whole week (notice I said IF, I`m still not totally free from the grip of the scale!) lol But yeah, Tuesday will be my day.

Lilybutt- Hope you have a great day! Great job with the ice cream...I managed to do very well with a craving this week for the cool stuff. I found skinny cows so now I have something low fat in the house, but earlier this week I was stressing and had to have some... so I only had about a half cup. It fixed the urge, and I just thought of how I used to eat ice cream... A big bowl filled to the top (like 2 or 3 cups full!) Then I look at my thighs....ahhh, it all makes sense to me now! lol
You managed to have great control, thats something to be proud of!

Have a great weekend everyone, just want to say thanks to everyone who`s listened and offered advice and shared your own set-backs and successes, I feel like I can relate to each and every one of you in many ways. It really does keep me going. I figured I`d be long gone by now, back to being unhealthy and depressed about it. But I`m still here! It`s great to share this all with you, and I hope we all can reach our goals together. Thank you all for being so kind and helpful, and for just listening. I don`t think I could do it alone.

Good morning,
I want to say this 1st thing. NEVER, NEVER give up. Last week when I weighed in and I had that 5 lb gain, I wasn't sure I could recover because that 5 lb put me back above a number that I never wanted to go about again. But last night at my weighin, I lost 3 of that 5 lbs.
That gives me hope that I can hold on to to know that when I make small changes and continue to work at this, I will reach my goal.

I'm a little busy at work this morning, so I won't get to personals today. I've read all the posts and we are AMAZING women. Just to take this task on and work towards our goals our dreams, that's more than some people ever do!

Keep reaching..keep dreaming..keep moving forward and if you get down..get back up!

Ahh, the struggles.

Work has been better, and I thank all of your for your thoughts and prayers. Last week flew by. I have been very busy and loving it...still a little paranoid that I be "social" and make some small talk in between my tasks. Still think it's really weird, but oh well. I need the job, that's the fact, and I have to try to do what they want me to. The boss is in on Monday and I'm wondering about whether he's going to sit me down again for an update. Last time I saw him I could barely look him in the eye. I hate having to watch what I say to someone for fear of them taking it wrong. I miss my old manager greatly.

I went to the gym this week and was not surprised when I got on the scale..I'm back in the upper 230's. Arrgh. I want to take this under control now, and get to the gym more regularly. I miss feeling active. DH went with me too, and he wants us to start going every evening during the week. I need to focus this weekend and start planning out how I'll prepare myself each day. Preparation is key!

My eating hasn't been horrible, so I know I can do it. I think during the summer, eating just kinda slows down or stays lighter in general. I've been eating lots of berries and cherries and tuna.

I've had a huge craving for soybeans and have been keeping them chilled and grab a handful here and there, kinda like peanuts. I'd like to think that it's like green beans, a good-for-you veggie that I let myself at a lot of...but soybeans actually have fat and cals, more than the average green veggie. 1/2 cup of cold soybeans has 100 calories and 3g fat. But, it does have 4g fiber. I suppose it's better than eating actual nuts or most any other snack. It's natural too, and I really like them. They are so easily accessible for me and I can take them anywhere in a baggie. I munched on them in a movie last night...my husband thought it was gross LOL! Gross was the bag of greasy popcorn he was chowing down on LOL...I did have some too!

I guess I can rationalize this by using the point system like weight watchers...I don't have a point finder, but based on those calculations, 1/2 cup of soybeans would be about 2 points. Not bad, but I definitely couldn't overdo it. Maybe I should leave it at about a cup a day? I don't count points, but I do like to keep points in mind sometimes.

Hope all of you are outside, enjoying the weekend - I'm about to head out myself.

Have fun and I'm thinking about all of you!

Hello,
I got up this morning and went to my very first Yoga class. It was a Beginners Class and I can't even begin to tell you how challenging I thought it was. I really enjoyed it thought. I felt calm and energized when it was over. I'm looking forward to the next one. They only have it one day a week. I met a really nice lady in class and she dropped off a DVD for me to borrow and work out with until the next class.

This afternoon I went to the Day spa and used the Gift Certificate taht DH got me for Valentines Day. I got a french manicure (I keep looking at my hand!) and had them do my makeup. I took clothes to change into and my DH and I went out ot dinner. It was such a nice evening.

Now, I"m going to head to bed with my book and relax and undwind.

Girle: I can completely understand how a new job stresses you out. It's so easy to want the old back, but remember life is about changing, so keep your chin up, and stay in the game. Look that manager in the eye. They thought enough of you to hire you, show them that they are lucky to have you.

I can't believe the weekend is over with. It was a very busy one for me and a weekend of many firsts.

I went to my first Yoga class, I got my first french manicure. You know those are little things, but every time that I try something new I feel so brave and it builds my self estem. I've found that the older I get I become afraid of trying new things sometime and I don't want to be that way so I'm going to keep finding new things to try.

I got up this morning and went for a walk before church. Doing some sort of exercise in the mornings really helps me to stay on track for the rest of the day. That's something I've learned about myself and I'm going to make the time to do it.

I am trying to get in the frame of mind that this week I will control my environment at work instead of letting it control me. This is going to be a challendge ladies.

Holly: Glad you had a nice time on the camping trip and I'm glad to see your hives have disappeared.

Looking forward to seeing the posts this week.

Good morning everyone,
I hope I can adjust to dh working nites soon. I'm having trouble making it to curves because we only have a short time together in the am, and none in the pm. It's so hot I can't do curves in the evenings. It's still in the 90's at 10pm most days. I'm off an mon and tues so I'll go those days but its been hard finding the 3rd day. I've been doing fair on food I've been freezing a lot of tomato's. I picked 88 one day, then 59 the next I've been making spaghetti sauce and salsa with some. They did real well this year.

Holly: Glad you had a great time camping.
Glad hives are gone. You sound so UP!

Susie: I've always wanted to try yoga. Seems like a fun day.

Girlie: Be yourself, work shouldn't try and change us. They might have rules but don't let the make you unhappy.

Caro: You are right, When I miss getting to this site I start having problems staying focused on my gaols. Ya'll keep me grounded. I truly LOVE and NEED the support I get here.

Lily: Sounds like you are doing wonderful.

Everyone have great day

Debbie~2 days are better than none and Yoga rocks!!!
Girlie~ ditto what Deb said!
Susie~ glad to see you here again. I have missed you.
Hi Caro, Gray and all the other chicks.
Yesterday, a poster commented about how camping was an escape from society and it is.
Today,so far, has been about feeding kids breaky and getting ready for babysitting. Trying to squeeze my coffee in for a few moments of peace. Much whining from my 2.
Arg!!
I want to go back to the campground!!!! LOL!!
It was nice to sleep in my cozy king sized bed. I will focus on the positive.
Too much salty food on the weekend although is was balanced by much water and tons of fresh fruit and veg. The cherries have been particularily nice.
It is going up to 32C today. I have been leaving the water hose on my trees. We have rain all around us but none here for several weeks. The weeds seem to be growing well though.
I do want to weed today. I guess I will see about the hives if I react again.Still hive free today.
I have my helper coming at 9:30 for the day.
The house is untidy now but still fairly clean. Laundry to put away and tidying to do.
Gotta remember to breathe!!!
Water and salad on the menu today!!!
Gala Days and Turtle Races are this weekend.I have a few phone calls to make, kids need to decorate their bikes for the parade,I am hosting “Turtle Idol” Friday night and my Avon manager is setting up a booth so I will work at it too.
I have Avon orders to distribute and baseball in another town tonight.
Coffee to finish!!! Fruit for breaky. Maybe a little yoga.
Definitely a big round of hugs for the chicks!!!!

Hello,
Just got back in from lunch. I had some pie at lunch and now I'm finished with any desserts for the next couple of days. I decided that if I have some every day the sugar really gets me going, so I'm limiting myself to 3 times a week for sweets.

I did some Yoga this morning. Just some stretching. It makes me feel like I'm really trying to take care of myself.

I'm looking forward to my walk tonight and some weight training. I'm in a pretty good frame of mind about working hard towards my goal. I want to stay in that frame of mind.

I know that visting the board everyday helps me to do just that.
Sorry, no time for personals today; I've got to get back to work.

Keep reaching for your goals...work hard..don't give up!

Hello all!

Getting ready to head off for another vacation……go out of tow for two days fro work, then leave on Thursday for a long weekend in Myrtle Beach with my boyfriend…..he is there on business…so I am joining him. Really looking forward to time relaxing and fresh seafood!!!!

Susie….I know what you mean about the sweets, best for me to stay away, it is like the flood gates open when I have too many and I can’t stop then I just feel icky.

Holly…my goodness, you are a busy chicky…you make tired just reading about your schedule!

Well I have lost 9 lbs., and am over half way to my goal…..not sure I will make it, but I will try my hardest….wanted to be done to 230 by Aug 8th……I don’t think this trip will be a problem with the seafood, so I will give it my all!!!! Have a good week!
