Good morning!!!!!
This seems strange, having a kind of day off.......Dh left a few minutes with Ds for bball practice. Hard to believe that that season is almost all over- and we survived it.

Candy- don't sweat that 1#- with TOM I am sure that your WI was affected.
Enjoy the game!!! And Carolina pottery- which although I am not familiar with at all, sounds like it is right up my alley. Safe travelling in the rain......and hope you feel better, that cough is still bugging you?

Geri- sounds like you had a nice evening, well at least until you picked up the kids!!! You are so right, there is something wonderful about being able to fix all their hurts, how sweet that Tony calmed down for you when you held him.I wish life were still that simple for my kids.......the bigger they get, the bigger the trouble and the hurts...... What kind of work are you looking for?

Melinda- congrats on the 4# loss!!!!!!! That is great, and an accomplishment in anyones book. It is a great idea that you break your weight loss into segments- something that WW uses also. They set your first goal loss at 10% of your current weight, knowing that losing 10% will be noticed in how you feel and look. If the big number is overwhelming to you, that is fine and normal. Each loss is a pound by pound event- and they all add up. The sum total is hard to look at......but in little pieces much easier to bear. Hang in there, you are doing great!

Spryng- congrats on maintaining! With TOM here, that is an accomplishment! Do you have the van yet?

Ricci- you busy lady!!! Glad you had time to check in and start the new thread. Hope your Valentines day is nice.

Andrea- how are you feeling? Glad you got to the Dr, and everything checked out ok, right?

Yesterday I was gone almost all the day with school conferences and then getting Ds to and from his game (a 60 mile drive on country roads). They lost, but I am glad I got there anyway. With 3 children it is hard to get to everything you would like to. Today, I am just laying low for now. Dh and I snuck out for coffee this am (left everyone asleep, but you can do that with a 17 yr old!). Tomorrow nite we are going out for dinner, as we could not get reservations at the place we wanted to go to for today (authentic Japanese restaurant- all entrees are stir fried at your table in front of your eyes.) That visit with MIL and FIL took a huge toll on us....we asked her to come at 6:30, so that Dh could get home from work and eat dinner before they got here, she marched in at 5:30, just as he sat down to eat in a totally foul mood, complaining about FIL and anything else that crossed her mind. Oh, I felt so bad for him! I took them to the family room so that Dh could at least eat his dinner without her bellyachin' and then entertained them most of the evening. Dh was so deflated by her miserable mood.....I just kept chattering about anything to keep her from getting nasty or negative (or should I say more nasty or more negative?). I envy anyone out there who has a normal relationship with Inlaws.....mine are so wacky. Unfortunately last night, after everyone was in bed, I consoled myself with food. Not a good idea, Iknow. This week will be tough to control my eating, as TOM is due in a few days.
Hey, have I babbled enough??????? Guess, I will get going, get some laundry done and maybe make a special dessert for this evening. Me, I will be eating diet jello!!!!
Happy Valentines day! Big hugs to everyone.

Happy Valentines Day!

I'm having a quiet evening at home. It has snowed all day here. Hard to believe for southern Ar. huh? We have about 3 inches right now and by in the morning we are expected to have 6-8 inches. I went to Walmart today cause I was out of milk and diapers and everybody and their cousin was there. It was crazy!!!! Well, I've been feeling o.k. I've been sick some, but mostly just really tired. By 8 at night, I'm bushed!! I already can't button my jeans and I'm only 6 wks. I guess it's because this is my third child. I refuse to wear maturnity pants yet so that leaves me with sweats and knit pants. Real attractive!! Anyway, I go back to the Dr. on Thurs for another ultrasound since they couldn't see anything last monday. I should be 61/2wks then.

Spryng, I hope you have a great time at the baby shower!

Hi to Geri, Ricci, I thought your name was pronounced Ree-se! Hi to Ginny, Melinda, Gosia, Missy, Candy, Lori, and anyone else I missed!

I've gotta go, my kids are fighting AGAIN!!!!

Sorry for having been MIA, but I am having a rough time at the moment with my baby... I don't know what's wrong with her, she has never been so...

She doesn't have fever, not it seems that she's hurting, but she's very fussy and cries a lot. And it's not only crying, yesterady she had 3 full blown histery attacks. She did not react to anything, didn't want to take the breast, nothing... She fell asleep after some time and when she woke up everything was ok again. And then she had this attack again. Today is better, she has not have this attack up to now, but she has been fussy as well. She did not want to go to sleep and cried for 1,5 hours before falling asleep. Of course I was carrying her, but it did not soothe her really, just for a couple of seconds...

I am sorry that I am not answering your posts properly, but today I just cannot concentrate on anything... Yesterday evening I cried myself for 2 hours, maybe this cry spells are contagious... And today I feel sore everywhere, hey, does excessive crying count as a work-out?

I will try to anwer your questions and post personals when things get sorted out here a bit, I still hope tomorrow will be better, maybe she is just tired from yesterday??

In the meantime you can have a look at us at:

Good Morning!

Gosia, I'm sorry to hear about your day. I don't know why babies cry sometimes, I guess that feel bad and have no other way of telling us. I know it's hard when you can't figure out whats wrong. Hope today is a better one and she is feeling better! I love your pictures! She is a very pretty baby! I've been on here since Nov. and still haven't posted any pictures. (I don't know how!!!) I know how to type and that's about it!

I'm going to have another day at home. The weather has closed down all of the churches so I guess I will just concentrate on my house. I have a lot of organizing to do! Hope ya'll have a great day!

Hi!
I am a little short on time, so I will be brief.

Gosia- glad you stayed with us!! I checked out your pictures too...well some of them (time did not permit more). Are you a quilter????? Love the quilt, and someday I hope to make one myself. And your baby and kitty pictures! You are a brave lady- having pictures of your expanding belly. (I run from cameras). And I do hope that your day goes better and that the baby is ok. Sounds like you had a rough day. Please feel free to post and unload here, if you are having one of those days. These ladies are great for support and sympathy here. Big hugs!

Andrea-sorry that you are not feeling great, but it sounds manageable. How much snow did you end up with? Hope you got your organizing done- that always gives such a feeling of accomplishment!

Tonite is our dinner out- and I have saved my points for that- without using any flex points I have 18 points to play with for dinner- so I think I will have a glass of plum wine with dinner and some sort of Japanese stir fry......that should keep me in range!
(and if it does not, phooey!)
gotta go- have a great weekend.
Ginny

Good Evening All!

I've had a good day. Talked to dh a few times and he is homesick. I love that! I'm counting down the hours until bedtime for the kids. (8 p.m.) I got in the boys room today and starting throwing away toys. Their room is small and it had gotten to be a mess all of the time. The only way to fix it is throw stuff out and try to organize the rest. It felt really good! Now I just need to start on the rest of the house!

Ginny, plum wine sounds wonderful! I want to know how the stir fry was. I almost cooked that for tonights dinner but decided on tacos instead. I'm sure you will stay in your points range for that dinner, unless you get a little crazy with the wine!

Well, my kids are watching Shrek so maybe they will be happy for a while. I'm going to fix dh a cheese cake for a late Valentines present. He is coming in tomorrow night. Can't wait to see him. He leaves on Wed. night and will be gone for 12 days. He is wanting me and the kids to come to Memphis and us stay in a motel a night or two. I would love that. I hope it works out. Well, I'd better go....TTYL!

Good evening all!
I just got home about 30 minutes ago. Whew! What a long drive it has been and I am sooooo tired. But it was a wonderful weekend and so great to see all my old friends. I really missed my boys though. Tanner's little face lit up when I picked them up tonight Made my year!! I promise I will be regular on here again and get personal tomorrow. Tonight I am unpacking some and going to bed as soon as the kids go down. TTYL!

Hiya! Ginny, hope you had a good time at the Japanese place tonight! I love those places. I've never had plum wine before but it sounds good. Is it sweet? Let us know how it went!

Andrea, one word...yummmmmm! I LOVE cheesecake. So glad you get to see your DH tomorrow and hope you get to go to Memphis. That sounds like fun! I did what you did last Wednesday. I just went through and started chucking toys and what was in decent condition, I took to the thrift store. I am able to get away with it that way because I tell my kids that other kids will get to play with them. I've decided no more toys. I will only buy them nice wood toys from now on that will last and that could be used by their kids. We'll see how that goes.

Spryng, glad you had a good, safe trip. Looking forward to hearing more. I can imagine how happy you were to see your boys. It must have been hard to be away from them, especially the baby.

Gosia, so sorry to hear about your rough time. How old is the baby again? Has she cut any teeth yet? Sounded like days I had when mine were teething. Anyhows, glad to hear from you and feel free to vent here anytime.

Our little road trip to Columbia went good. Gamecocks won so that was a plus! My DH would have been super fussy on the way home if they had lost. Not that it would have mattered since I fell asleep!!! I was kinda bad yesterday. I was supposed to be on my raw diet this week but I had a veggie sub at Quizno's and then later I had a donut from Krispy Kreme. It was good but made me sick as a dog. Oh well.
Ginny, I'm still fighting this cough but I think it is finally on it's way out. It has only been 16 days!

Hi everyone!!! Hope everyone has a good night. Talk to ya'll tomorrow!

Just a quick hello as I am freezing so it's hard to type. Got a chill that won't go away so I guess it's time to go to bed to warm up!

Tomorrow I take Tony for his 9 month pictures ... already!! We have them done at Sears. I have a coupon for $3.99 a sheet so they should be pretty cheap. Anyway, I'll hopefully post a good one tomorrow sometime.

Glad you made it home safely Spryng. Talk to you all tomorrow.

Good Morning!

Spryng and Candy, glad you both had great trips. Maybe today you can get some rest...going on a trip wears me out.

Geri, I hope the pictures turn out good. I always hate getting my boys pictures done, I don't know why, I just don't like doing it. Anyway, can't wait to see the results!

I'm going to be at home again today. I still have some housework to do and I need to make the cheesecake. I've really enjoyed not going anywhere this weekend. Kind of weird though! Well, I can't think of much to say, just want to let ya'll know I hope you all have a great day! I'll TTYL!

Good morning!!!!!
Nice to log on here and see all the posts.

Spryng- welcome home!!Glad you made it back safely and had a good time. A little time away from the kids can be so refreshing! And with you being a single parent from time to time it is even more important. Gotta love little Tanner's reaction though. Bet he will be extra clingy for a few days. How sweet.

Andrea- good for you getting some organizing done! Most kids (my own included) have way too much stuff and only play with one third of it.....so I bet they will not even miss anything that left!! I have to do that in my Dd's room, which is small too and crammed with stuff. Good for you that Dh is homesick.......Enjoy the cheesecake!

Candy- glad your trip to Columbia went well. Did you get into Carolina Pottery? Also good that the Gamecocks won, men can be such babies if their team loses...... Glad you enjoyed that Krispy Kreme! Sometimes you just have to get that stuff out of your system. Just get back on track today and drink lots of water to flush out your system.
Take care of that cough.....should it change at all or you get really tired, please get to a Dr. A cough that lasts that long can be trouble ( I had one that lasted 2 1/2 months 2 years ago, and it took 3 Dr visits and all kinds of meds to subdue- and I kept feeling worse and worse.....)

Geri- did you warm up????! Hope that Tony smiles well for the pictures. Gosh, time does fly!

Well, I probably went over my points range last nite- Dh ordered a second glass of plum wine for me(which I did not finish, had only half). The Hibatchi chicken was great (loaded with salt, though) and I ate all of it (well, picked out over a cup of mushrooms, which I do not care for, but ate all the other veggies). Aw, it was good, and I did have a lot of points to use. Today I am drinking lots of water and PMS tea to try to get rid of some of the salt. Already did my new WW tape, which I LOVE. If anyone ever gets a chance to buy "Get Fit"- it is the high intensity WW workout tape- it is awesome. 4 AP's for a 35 min workout and it hits most major muscle groups well. My legs feel so much more powerful, even my achy knees do not bug me now, as I have built up the muscle around them.
Ok, I have babbled enough for one day. Got tons to do and the kids are off......so will be driving Ds to bball practice later. Hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning all!
So glad it is monday and things are getting back to normal.

Andrea, I hope you get what you need to done in your house. My house needs some attention this morning also. I still haven't bought a vacuum cleaner (I bought a little floor vac but it takes forever to clean the carpet, but it was cheap and will get me by until I can get a nice vacuum cleaner) I haven't started unpacking yet. The trip wore me out. I got plenty of sleep while down there but I guess the driving got to me. So last night I slept good and I'll probably grab a nap today also. Oh and I was wondering, did you ever get any info on doing WW and being pregnant? Are you still counting pts?
Geri, I hope you have fun getting the boys pics done! I need to get all 3 of mine done also. Maybe in the next few weeks I'll get it done. Now was it you that is doing Dr.Phil's plan? I've been curious about the actual diet of the book. What does it consist of? How are you liking it?
Candy, glad your cough is getting better. And it sounds like you had a fun trip also! It's nice to get away sometimes. And yes I really missed my boys, especially Tanner. That was the first time he was gone from me overnight, I did ok with it until I went to bed and then it hit me and I missed him badly. But I knew he was fine and in good hands so that helped alot. So are you starting your raw veggie week today?
My weekend was alot of fun. The baby shower went great and she got alot of nice things. I got the boppy and a few other things and no one else got her one so she was thrilled because she had really wanted one but forgot to put it on her list. So I am glad I went ahead and bought it. We played some really fun games and all that. Then I stayed at her parents house (I lived with them when I was 18, right before I got married) so it was alot of fun to catch up with them all and good memories came flooding back. My eating wasn't great though. I'm sure I went over my flex but I will work on that this week with only eating my target and getting in extra exercise. I plan to start up The Firm again along with my pilates dvd's. So it should be just fine. I did get alot of compliments though on my weight and that was encouraging for me to hear. Not that I ever plan to stop WW but it's nice to know people are noticing the changes.
Oh and about my best friend who is 32 weeks pregnant. She is sooo cute. She was about 95 lbs before getting pregnant (she's 5'7") so she has always been super thin, and now she is 112 lbs and it's all belly. So adorable. The weight looks great on her. Her midwife wants her to be at 120 by her due date (which is april 10) but she is gestational diabetic and is really watching what she eats which I commend her for. She is so dedicated to her little baby and taking care of herself. I've never seen a pregnant woman not give in to cravings before but she won't. She only eats things her nutritionalist allows and doesn't think twice about it. I don't think she'll put on much more weight, besides what the baby puts on. But she is so cute with her perfect little belly. I can't wait until she has her.
But all in all it was a great weekend. Ava enjoyed all the alone time with me and then all the attention from my friends But I am glad to be home now and get things back into our normal routine. Oh and my van is suppose to be here today!!! I can't wait. I don't mind driving the loaner van but I'm ready to have mine parked in my driveway
ok, I need to get off of here and start getting some unpacking and light cleaning done. TTYL!

Ginny you snuck in on me while I was posting my long post! lol. I haven't seen that new workout dvd. Do you buy it at the meetings or is it in stores?? I would love to earn 4 aps for one workout!!! And that is great that your knees are getting stronger! Your dinner sounded so good. I'm sure your pts were fine. What are you planning for tonight? I'm making white bean enchiladas. Oh and my best friends mom is going to join WW now because she said I look so great and she saw that I could eat anything I like and she wants to be able to do that also! So that is two people now that have joined because of my success so far!! That thrills me to no end It's like a full circle. You gave this to me and now I am able to give it to others. So great.
Well, I need to scoot. But before I go how about a new challenge for everyone? It can either be a weight challenge like 5 lbs off by a certain date, or an exercise challenge?? What do you all think and any ideas? TTYL!

Good morning.
It sounds like everyone had a great weekend. Andrea, it sounds like your doing good. I am glad the snow storm stayed south this time. Spryng and Candy, glad you both had good trips. Ginny, the Japenese restrauant sounds great. DH and I are going to one here on Saturday. We haven't been out together alone in almost a year. We went shopping on Saturday and bought our boys an indoor basketball goal, and new shoes, plus some new Hot wheel size NASCARS.
As for my name. It has been mispronounced by all of my teachers from pre school to kindergarten. I have heard them all. I was named after my dad, and my mom just wanted a different way to spell it.
Spryng, I think a challenge would be great. I am going to buy the Dr phil book in a couple of weeks. I ordered a set of pilates videos over the weekend. I am getting to the point where my exercise is more of a chore than something I enjoy, so its time to add something, or switch them out.
Gosia, so sorry about your baby. Some times they just seem to need to do that. Its not fun for either of you. I hope you have a better day today.
HI to Geri, Lori, Melinda, and anyone else I missed.
