The only bad place was at the entrance of where I live!! Isn't that a hoot of all places. LOL Ya'll (I'm southern ya know) my house is a disaster area! I have major blessing to do! I even postponed a luncheon I was having for a friend of mine today because I'm just too embarrased for her to see my house. :stress: LOL I will have her over again on Monday. Our snow days are being made up during the Spring Break and that is the week we were going to Mississippi for my mil's 80th birthday party. Oh well. :shrug:

We haven't "officially" been told of snow make up days here but they work 3 into the school calender every year. There has been a time or two where the days were just "forgiven". Right now as it stands, they were to get out feb 17th for their next time but I think that is one of the days. They shouldn't change spring break days like that. They should know that by now some people have decided to go somewhere.

I guess you were anxious to get her off this morning. Can't blame a mother for trying can you?? :lol: I think it's good to not sleep too long on days not at school to make the days you have to get up earlier not be so bad. Weekends not included though. :lol: I didn't let mine sleep the full 2 hours in yesterday either.

I emailed sheree, I will let you all know if I get a response. A lot of times when I go out "hunting" someone, they will post the same day. (fingers crossed!) Well I have to leave in about 30 minutes for the pickup line at school.

BTW I got some "sort of" bad news yesterday. The 5th grade is suppose to go to alabama and Chatanooga, TN march 31 through april 2nd. We make payments of $60 a month for 4 months for the kids to go and the chaperones will be same price. Well we have planned all along that I would go with Brett in order for him to go. (my mom would never have let me go to a trip this far away). Anyway, we've paid half of his so far and they sent home the notice yesterday asking for chaperones. They want the father of boys to go and mothers of girls. Each chaperone will have their child in the hotel room along with 2 other students (all same sex). Now there are a lot of problems with that. How many parents do you think will allow their kids to go out of state like that without them?? They will have far more parents to go than they think. I signed the form saying I would like to go but sent a note that if we can't have a room to ourselves even if I need to pay for it then brett can't go. I bet they got a lot of notes from mothers of boys because you know that I think more mothers don't work day shift and could have went. At any rate, I bet I will hear about it this afternoon!

OK I made it! I hate the first pop up add that happens> The one from About Blank. It has frozen my computer so many times that I have to shut down my comp and start over! I ususlly say forget about it and stay off line.
I am so sorry for all that icky weather that ya all are having. We have had a lot of rain and flodding was a problem for us today. The creek was up to the bridge in the back yard and part of the street was flooded out. I will take the rain over the ice though.
I went to Target with my neighbor and got some great bargins. I bought some sleep shorts for .47 cents! I bought 2 pairs at that price. I also bought Robert a camping set thing. It has a compass and some other stuff in it. I think a light that goes on top of his head and a small knife and a few other things. It was $2.50 and had been $10.00. I know it is still a cheap set but he is a kid and losed everything! Oh and 3 sets of yard darts. 2 for the neighbors sons girlfriends kids and a set for Robert. They were .99 cents and had been I think $4.00.
Dana I can't belive that the school is doing that to you. I wonder how many Dads are willing or able to do that trip? What did the school have to say to you about it? I understand why they do that with all the sickos there are but it is crazy. DId you tax refund get deposited today or is that tomorrow?

Daphne, I'm glad I put a smile on your face but actually I never said I was going crazy with her home. I just said that I must of been anxious to get her to school since I got her up 1 hour earlier than she could of gotten up. With Elena the later she will sleep will do us all good. She has not been getting enough sleep for a few months now. I actually was more glad to see my sweet hubby going to work! LOL He had the friday before off and he returned back to work on Wednesday. Hello Everyone... I have been so busy the last few days.. Whewwww..I took my neighbor to her therapy yesterday and did some errands and today..I had a haircut and Jim to the eye Dr..We were there for over 3 hours..He was busy and he dialated Jim's eyes and the had to wait untill the were so huge and he did a thourgh exam and said his right eye was lazy but everything else was good. he even told him to continue to use the store bought reading glasses..I have mine checked by him next Friday..Jim will be off to take me..You cant drive after the exam..The doctor was real nice...I hope I get a good report too. I was happy he didnt have any signs of Glacoma ( SP )..I was so happy about that..Its still bitter cold here..More snow expected Monday..:cry:..I am so sick of this...Its bad with the ice..:cry:.. :fr:

I just wanted to let you ALL know that my friend Buddy..Seems to be doing better..
I got a email today from him and he said that his CT Scan showed the following:
The big spot on his lung was gone and his Lymp-nodes were reduced in size and seem to be shrinking down in size..They also put him on some antibiotics for a severe stomac infection and after a few pills he said he was feeling much better...This was the reason along with the chemo he had lost 30 pounds..
I just wanted to Thank-You ALL from the bottom of my heart for all your prayers for my friend.. God is always listening and he heard all of us..
I know that he is not cured by no means but at least this is step in the right direction..He said the Dr wants him to get stronger and rested and then he will make a decision about futher treatment or what will happen..
I was so happy to hear this news..I wanted to share it with all of you.

I am a better person for knowing all of you...

Hi everyone..another snowy cold day here..didnt get to post yesterday..busy busy :lol: :?: :lol: the dh has gone visiting a friend and i have some quiet time..we are getting those tests scheduled for the dh..dont know much till they are read..then back to anch on the 10th..yes i shopped at wallmart..got houehold things tp..paper towels..snack stuff(for the dh) things that are cheaper there than here..also got some new glasses for the kitchen a set of 16 for 5.99..and socks and undies..soaps and lotions ..by the time i was done i had spent 262$ :lol: the last time i was there i got winded walking around that big store.. this time i didnt even break a sweat..i have added some carbs to my diet as i was so grouchy and miserable my dh threatned to siton me and make me eat a bun :lol: :?: :lol: he was joking but i sure could tell the difference..i found a new yougart at the store yesterday..its made by dannon and its a lo-carb..60 calories.. made with splendora..only 3gms of sugar..i bought some and its not bad..also theres some neat articles about diet tips and new findings in this months First magazine..its worth checking out..they say adding more calcium to your diet helps speed weight loss..hope every ones having a great weekend will check in later(((((((((hugs))))))))))) rosey..drink water slosh slosh :wave:

Thank you Summer and Rosey I am feeling better. This morning I thought at first I wasn't but as it went on I was fine. I had a friend over for lunch and I made the 0 point soup for her. We also had some bread and an olive oil dip for it that since the soup was pointless.. (LOL) then a slice of bread with the dip. So not too bad. I have tried that yogurt that you mentioned to Summer, Rosey and it is good. :T I have been eating lots of yogurt since July. ;)

So Donna I"m kinda wondering in your post where you put "the panthers lost", why you didn't mention the janet jackson incident? :lol: That took my mind off nearly the whole last half of the game. I don't think it was planned to tell you the truth. I do think it was stupid for them to even attempt what may have suppose to happen. That whole last song was to provocative anyway. What were they thinking groping at one another and rubbing at each other that way when there was so many kids watching that game. It was on a network to beat. If it were on a cable channel, you almost expect that but not the super bowl. I told my mom on friday who all was suppose to sing in the half time show and she only knew kid rock and janet. I told her that there probably would be a lot of bleeping out cuss words and she said "surely not the super bowl". I haven't talked to her since that so I don't know what she thinks now.

Rosey if no one else has I will email you sheree's last name. Her DH"s name is Rob if that rings a bell for now. I haven't gotten a response to my email yet.

We are getting some ice in with the rain and have most of the day but it's so much more rain than ice that I doubt it will cause any trouble.

I haven't heard anything from daphne since she's posted on here so I don't know what she's up to.

We got a new dryer on saturday and it has a buzzer on it. The last 2 didn't. This thing will scare you 2 miles away. It's so loud and it even does it like 3 times to warn you that it's cooling down and that it's fixing to stop and that it's stopping. :lol: Someone told me I would get used to it but it makes me so nervous that I don't see me adjusting to it anytime soon. The car goes in the shop on thursday morning (weather permitting) for a tune up and oil change. It's the first time a mechanic has changed the oil in the 4 years we've had it. Dh always does it but because it's getting it's first tune up, we want the oil changed anyway. We're hoping they will see what is causing the noise it's making.

Summer I"m so glad that buddy is getting better or at least showing some signs of it. Maybe he's going into remission or something. I sure hope you can get in on that exercise class you're wanting. It always seems like the whole world is in your way when you are trying to get something done doesn't it. All the delays just to get something started. Hopefully things will work in your favor on thursday so you can get right in and "get your feet wet". :)

I had lunch with a friend I haven't seen in a while. Had her at my house I think I mentioned before. I don't think I mentioned though that she couldn't believe I had lost that much weight. :shrug: She said even after I showed her before pictures and she agreed that there is a difference that during the time I saw her before that I must of carried it really well. UGH! Yeah, I did all this just because I didn't want to carry it any more! LOL

Yes it's my car that needs the tune up. Or at least I think it does. They are going to set the timing on it if it needs it. It makes this purring noise while idling and DH thinks it's a belt but he's not real sure so in order to not make it worse than it already is, he wants me to take it in and let them do the works on it since we have the tax money to do it with. I'd rather spend that money toward something that will last and hopefully that car will cause it's been my favorite car and has never had anything done to it. Not to mention, it's not quite paid for either. The blazer is running ok but it still doesn't have the blower to run the heat, defrost etc.

I have to weigh tomorrow and I know it's a gain week for me. I ate M & M's lastnight that I shouldn't have along with some marshmellow and cream cheese dip with fruit and then there was the whole bad day- sunday with brett's birthday throwed in with super bowl snacks all evening which did include cake/cupcakes. Well I'd better get the kids up. Dh is working today so I'm alone and have to get them to school on time. Be back later.

Hello Everyone..Today the sun :sunny: finally came out..:cp:.I am so happy to see it..its still cold and they are prediciting more snow over the weekend..
I will keep my fingers :crossed: that it blows away..Got house cleaning to do today..and Tomorrow lots of errands..I have my eye exam tomorrow and I go in the morning to see about Water Arobics classes..I am also going to the gym near us tomorrow evening. we heard they are doing a special price and I am going to see what that is all about..So maybe that will work out too..

I ordered it online and saved a lot of money. It was $39 or it was 3 payments of $19.99. I hope that I can get some benefit from it.

Dana, I was so excited when I saw you have ordered the Windsor Pilates DVD set. I bought mine at Target for much less than that but I know you don't want to step inside a Target. It is a good intro to Pilates and you will be automaticly hooked. If not... I guess it isn't for you! LOL :D Really, either you love Pilates or you don't. It's not easy, but it will give you the results you are looking for. I know... Oh! And the dryer... I had a GE.. I can't remember but I think Glen may be right it would say signal maybe. On mine there is a dial that I can make the signal long or short or just turn completely off. Guess where my dial is on? :lol: :lol: :rofl:

Summer, did you make the Zero point soup last night? I really like it and can eat it a good many times a day. Today is your busy day. Eye doctor :mag: and the water aerobics sign up. Pop in when you can and tell us how it all went. Getting started with anything is the hardest part. Then once you do you are hooked until we let something interupt the cycle and then we have to start all over again. That is where I have been time and time again. It's definately a mind thing. Speaking of minds, I am to talk to Elena's teacher this afternoon but guess what they are calling for around noon????? YES, ICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UGH! :yikes:

I am waiting on a phone call as I post this but wanted to update you on what I know about my car. The guy I talked to this morning was so nice and he had worked for general motors for 18 years prior to opening up this shop. They have done the tune up and oil change on it and it turns out the noise is the alternator over charging and he's replacing it as I write. He said it would cost about $30 for half hour labor for that and $149 for the alternator. He said it was a more expensive one than a lot of cars but anyway, it also needs the air filter changed. All in all I would expect about $225 at tops for this. I bet it will drive like a whole new car. It's the first car I've ever had almost paid off and still love but it's the only car we've ever had that was so reliable. I'm just thankful that this is being done now rather than trying to leave from somewhere and that alternator just give up. Well he said 30 more minutes and it's been 25 so I'd better post this and see if he calls so we can go get it. Hope you all are having a good day. It's suppose to rain hard here later.
