I wanted to update you all on what is going on in my life. If I have told you guys before, please accept that I am senile and that I need to touch up my dark roots. :o

First of all, my Dad is building a house next to my sister who lives on one side of me. All last week she and I were at his house going through things to start sorting and packing for the move. When we talked him into building out here we told him he would not have to do a thing. (where was our minds?) He and my stepmother are divorcing and they have to be be legally separated one year before it is final. They had an appt. with the lawyer she picked out last week and he was all on my Dad's side so I would not be surprised if she doesn't go and find another one. :dizzy:

We have a painter to paint the window frames and door frames of our house. You just wouldn't believe how many quotes we got and just trying to find someone who isn't so backed up. I realize this is their busy time of the year but we were trying to get a painter last Winter and still the story was the same. Finally found a nice older man who works alone. I accidently backed onto one of his ladders after the first day he was here and bent it. I am now having to buy a new ladder. :p He wasn't too upset with me. :lucky:

Over the weekend we got a quote on landscaping our back yard. It's suppose to be starting today but no one has showed up yet. Yesterday Jim decides to burn some yard trash and it ended up smoking the whole neighborhood. It's still smoking this morning. LOL :yikes: This isn't a good thing seeing our neighbors are not too happy with us right now with all the noise and commotion going on with building my Dad's house. Plus another situation that I am not going to air online because you just never know if the wrong people could be reading it. :lol: :blah:

Looks like we are traveling to Kansas City this summer to see my sister and her family! Also looks like we are flying and it isn't costing us a cent!!! :coffee: My sil's hubby (the one who left and came back) is giving us tickets for he had so many air miles that he could never use.

We are also busy with planning my Dad's 70th birthday in June. It's going to be held at my sisters house which we are hoping by then the pool will be in. (Daddy is paying for it for all of us to use but it will increase my sister's property value... LOL)

Elena is doing very well in school lately. She brought up all her grades on her last report card! :bravo: :encore: She has a new friend in the neighborhood that just moved in. She is younger than her but they seem to get along. The child is over here every day since they met! LOL

Ok, enough with my boring but very busy life lately. OH, BTW my arm is getting so much better. I am feeling more encouraged with how it's feeling lately. That was really getting me down. :(

Man is it pool weather today donna? Can you believe this coolness? My grandmother calls it "blackberry winter". She said hers was in bloom now. I'm not a blackberry person so I don't pay that any attention. :lol:

I'm looking foward to Idol tonight although I'm tired of the silly voting issues. They are voting the wrong people off in the wrong order. I know you think so too, Rosey. I like to watch it to have something to watch. I get bored with movies too easily. Have any of you seen School of Rock? We thought about renting it on paper view but someone told me it wasn't appropriate for the kids although there are kids in the movie.

I had to take my dog in for her booster shot this morning and went to my bank. I have been in a run around about that check that someone intercepted in the mail and basically was told this morning that it had been too long to do anything about it. None of that was my fault. Besides the time that they have been chasing me in circles, I didn't get the check until late march with my bank statement and then the order form I mailed it to said to give 6 to 8 weeks for delivery. I gave it 4 and then contacted them only to find out that they never received or cashed the check. My bank tells me that I need to take it up with the company. How do you do that if they didn't get the check? Maybe because it was written to them then they can claim fraud? I'm confused about it all. I emailed our states check fraud agency earlier. I'll see if they can make sense of it for me.

We went bowling lastnight with all of the school aged kids who have disabilities. It was kinda fun to get out like that. I didn't want to get up this morning though so it would have been more fun on a friday night. My cousin who lives nearly behind me had her baby yesterday. It's an almost 7 pound girl. I think maybe she will come home tomorrow cause they were wanting to tie her tubes. She said it was too much of a "bad" pregnancy to want a 3rd one.

Kevin goes to the dr. thursday to find out what's going on with his legs. They didn't bother him these last 2 days but he didn't work those days either.

Summer I"m so proud of the exercising you and rosey are doing. Have you lost some yet? I know you have so let us know. Rosey I"m proud of your weight loss as well. That's a lot to shed and you know you can see the difference. I have been reading about my sugar drops and found out that it's my pancreas over working when I consume sugar and that it can lead to diabetes. I have to give up sugar somehow.


Donna flying free, pool access and arm getting better. Now how did you lose weight again?? :lol: I have so much stress on me that I'm almost convinced that is the reason I"m so over weight. Oh the days of being 17 and having no responsibility. Did I actually say back then "I don't have a life". I bet we all did but now that I'm going on 31, I treasure the days of being in school.

Hi everyone..its raining here today..dont they say april showers bring may flowers :lol: at least its not snow altho i still have snow piles in my yard..on sunday i went to bingo as usual and was a winner of 250$ more than what i spent..and had a real good time ..monday we went to curves and i weighed on there scale and i must say that im frustrated with scales becuz they all weigh me diff :( so i cannot say thay the 12# loss is true as the curves scale says 8# loss but some of the ladies there said it weighs them 4 # heavier..so i know ive lost as my clothes fit looser and im starting to move easier with less effort so its working and thanks for all the support..im kinda proud of me too..but the scales frustrate me :lol: :?: :lol: dana..i am surprized at who got voted off idol to..but still watch it..hope you get some answers about that check..and what became of the incedent with the school??summer.. hows the exercise going??is it getting easier? it seems so for me alittle anyways..kris congrats on finishing your exams wtg..ill bey your releved to have them done..donna..did the painting get all done..glad the painter guy was understanding about his ladder..hows the arm.. wtg to elana for the good grades..mr ken am sorry you didnt loose but you will this week for sure..i hate those dang scales..daphnee hope your cold is better..will check in on everyone later today..have good one ((((((hugs))))) rosey :wave:

Dana, I'm a little confused about your comment about being 17??? Did I miss something? Not sure also what you meant about HOW I lost my weight.... :shrug: :dunno: Sometimes I wonder that myself but I did and I am losing what I gained over the Easter holiday as well. I just have to. I hope that check issue is resolved soon.
Summer, I want to see all the pictures you take from this coming Summer. Last summer you and Jim missed out on so much that you enjoy. This year is different and I am so glad. We are not planning to travel up North this summer but if we ever do we will definately try again to meet you. I don't see us going to MB till mid August. BTW.

Donna what I meant about 17 was I didn't have any responsibility and remember clearly always saying "i don't have a life". Losing weight wasn't an issue cause I was really a perfect size for my age. It wasn't until after the birth of the first child that it became an issue. I've always heard the more stress you have the harder it is to lose weight. That's all I meant. Don't you feel stressed at times? Well gotta run take kids to school but hope that helped clear the air. I wasn't being offensive at all. Sorry.

No offense was taken. I was just trying to understand where the statement came from that maybe I was talking about being 17 before. :rofl: Stress???? Me Stressed????? :yikes: :stress: :cry: :yes: :yes: :yes: I am a firm believer that stress is my enemy too when it comes to weight gain.

Hi everyone..i tried to get in here this am but it (the Puter) just wouldnt let me..so ran systems maintenance.. and headed for curves.. its working now but have been so busy havent had time till now..my butt muscles are so sore :lol: i know that sounds funny but do any of you have sore muscles there??after you have exercised??never have hurt there before i guess theres a first for everything :rofl: :yikes: :shrug: :lol: am working on a beaded amulet necklace for a friend who wants one to put her hearing aids in while shes talking on the phone..she keeps misplacing them..its been a long time since i have done this so have had to relearn the process and am enjoying it..tomorrow we are going to pick up our tickets for our trip to visit my mother.. im excited about as its more real with tickets in hand..im really going this time and all my sisters will be there too..its been 3yrs since ive seen my mom and 2 of my sisters and 5 yrs since ive seen my youngest sister..we are going in july..hope you have all had a great day..(((((hugs)))))) rosey:wave:

Hello Everyone... I just wanted to stop in and say..I have been in bed for the last couple days..My Back went out all the way and I was bent over like a old lady..I have been taking muscle relaxers and the heating pad and today I can finally straighten up and it feels better.. I cant believe how much it hurt..
It was in my lower back on the right side..Like your Sac- a-reliac..if there is such a thing..I know it was from that broom thing and I was bent over to long scrubing 2 patios..I wont make that same mistake again.. I have been so mad cause I have missed 2 water classes..Jim has gone to the gym..He wanted to stay with me and I told him NO..go.. I will be ok...so he did.
I am going to class tomorrow..I will be weighing soon.. I dont know if I have lost though.. I think I need portion controll or get someone to tell me about food that will fill you up without adding calories..Is there any food out there like that..I doubt it..I am eating the right things but I think Iam eating to much.. Ihave to learn to eat Breakfast.. I dont.. and I am to hungry at dinner.. I need help with that.. Any suggestions?????

When we are young we really have no worries.. we think we do but when you grow up and have your own family things really change..and you really see then how good all of us had it as a kids.. I know what you mean..there..Its so hard to change eating habits and give up sugar.. and to diet.. I know how you feel..but please know that I understand..I know we ALL DO..One day at a time.. is all any of us can do..You will do it..I know with all thats going on in your life you are real stressed out.. Donna...I Cant wait for the pool to open this year.. I am gonna take pictures this year.. I am going to the tanning bed tomorrow am.. They are having a special for 1 month unlimited tanning 40.00..Its a new place and my friend went there and says it so nice and clean and the beds are great..
I want to get a jump on my tan this year.. I cant wait..I was hoping you all would be coming this way this year..but I understand.... We will be in Myrtle Beach in September this year. We are planning a trip with friends. I also want to come for a 4 day trip in July or August not sure about that yet..Maybe we will see each other yet???? Never know...I knew that you would lose what you gained over Easter Holiday.. I knew you would do it.. I am so proud of you reaching your goal weight.. Our last 24 hours hasn't been so good. We were awoken to a fire in the boys room at 2:45 during the night. It was a box fan sitting in a chair in their room. It burned a pretty bad place in the floor and the fan and chair are a total loss of course. It was probably the most scarriest thing we've been through non-health related. We liked to have never gotten the smoke to clear. The boys were so close to sufferering from smoke inhalation. I took some pictures of the fan if they turn out good enough to see. It's basically the outline and nothing in the center.

DH went to the dr. today and they have him on Bextra for inflammation. He had a ton of blood work done and goes back tuesday for results. He was tested for lead poisoning and metal in his urine. They are treating it as arthritis as of now.

Have you guys had any of the new salads at burger king? I had one of the garden chicken salads today and had to bring half home. It was too much to eat.

Rosey congrats on that bingo money again. You can save for your trip can't you. Congrats on being able to get the tickets too. I know you will have such a wonderful time and you guys deserve it.

Donna are you getting excited for the school year to come to an end? I want to be able to get up when I want but not looking foward to kids being home all the time. I can't believe how fast this year has flown.

Hello Everyone..I have been so busy today.. Jim went to see the Dr to set up another colonoscopy..This is just a check-up one..Been over a year since surgery and his last Colonoscopy..He will have the procedure 10th of May..
I had alot of errands today and tomorrow is getting the summer stuff out of storage...I bought 3 new cushions for my chairs and a new table for the patio today..we had dinner out.. I was bad.. I had cajun chicken with pasta but I only ate a little of the pasta and No bread..That about did me in.. It was my favorite..Hot Fresh French bread...Oh Yummmy..but I said No..I cant believe I had the will power.. I was so hungry..I didnt eat all day.. I had to take my neighbor to the Dr this am and had to get back in time to shower and go to the Dr's with Jim.. I been running all day and I just didnt eat untill we had dinner..I have to stop doing that cause I get toooo hungry.. I know that its bad and thats how you eat all the wrong things..So I made a promise to start to eat Breakfast and lunch..Something.....not to go all day and be starvin at dinner. I am going to weight myself Monday at the gym..

My back is much much better...Thank-goodness.. I was really worried for awhile..I really missed the gym but I am glad that I took the time to get well and not push myself..I will be back in the swing Monday...I am all better...
I am also going tanning now and time it really tight.. I told Jim that I will need a maid to help me around the house.. that I just dont have the time to clean and cook and do laundry too ..:rofl:..He just looked at me and said.... Sure..Hun...:lol:..Well I can dream...right...:lol:..Hope that everything is good with you and yours.. and that you are not so stressed now...
