If you run your mouse curser over the red exclamation point on others posts you will see it's to report a bad post. That is the only way I know what it meant and yes, it's been there for a while. :lol: :lol: You are just like me, Summer! LOL The bread that you did not have would not have hurt you since you hadn't had anything to eat all day. But, if you are like me you can not eat just one so to help discipline yourself you don't have any, right? :yes: :cb: :no: :dunno: I bet Jim is nervous about the upcoming colonoscopy. I would be. But, I am going to think positive thoughts that it will be ok especially since the previous tests showed good results. How is he doing losing his weight? I bet he is doing good since joining the Gym. Our back yard is almost done and it is raining here today so that is good to water all this sod in the back yard. We couldn't afford a irrigation system so mother nature is highly depended on. ;) The house is almost painted too. The painter was going to finish up today but it's raining so I guess it will be sometime next week.
Dana, I meant to tell you that I am so sorry about the fire the other night. Thank God you all were OK! I bet it scared you to death. It seems with these dry conditions that fires are breaking out a lot in our areas. A friend of mine at church was waken by her neighbor in the wee hours of the morning a few weekends ago with the discovery of a fire in their own back yard. It scared her to death too. But thankfully no one was hurt. Just what you needed on top of everything else, huh? NO, I am NOT looking forward to the summer mostly because it is Elena, Elena, Elena on the weekends! UGH You can't keep her filled (with food) or keep her entertained especially when she has a friend over. I plan to get her in as many activities as possible! LOL What's up with your dh? I hope he is OK.

Hi everyone.. its sunny out today but still cold..have been having coffee :coffee: and working on those beaded amulet necklaces..im sure "rusty" on my techniques :lol: :?: :lol: spend more time picking apart than beading..but its been awhile yrs in fact since ive done this..my dh has gone with a friend to pick up his brand new 6 wheeler..its going to sit in the garage till hes healthy enuff to ride it to the cabin..and im sure he will be drooling on it too :lol: at first i was against this as his toys are so expensive but then he wants so badly to get to the cabin and a 6 wheeler with a winch on it compared to his old 4 wheeler..like a cadilac and an old beater.. after the awful yr hes had i rethought it over and he needed this as ego boost and also to eventually get him to his cabin easier and safer..so i gave in after a few hrs of his begging :lol: im so bad :lol: as long as i got my plane tickets in my hot little hand i was ok withit..im am so excited about my trip..im finally getting to go...well thats all the news here whats up with everyone else..will check in later (((((((hugs))))))) rosey:wave:

Hi everyone..it s raining buckets here today and has been all night.. the dh is snoring away :lol: but sometimes i like getting up early for coffee :coffee: and some alone time..was talking to my mom and she is so excited we are coming..shes got it all planned..fishing..casino(yay)the bluberry festival( ahuge craft fair in the park,over 300 booths) and a honey do list a mile long :lol: and her bd will be when we are there to she will be 82 and she can run circles around me :lol: the dh and his friend brought the new 6 wheeler home and the dh was drooling over it all day..its parked in the garage :lol:..his friend did all the work of loading and unloading and got to ride it..we have a dr appt this comming week so will see when the dh will get to ride his new toy..ill bet it will be awhile yet..but its his.. i think he needs a bib :lol: i saw this women at curves who had the cutest hairdo..i liked it so much that i asked who cut it.. well she does it herself sooooo when i got home i cut mine just like it..well maybe not exact..but boy is my hair short :lol: and you use this scrunch spray to make it stand up..anyways the dd liked it and so do I ..just scrunch and go :lol: now the dh wants me to have long flowing hair( :eek: i would look like a witch with all my gray )so what are you all up to today..will check in later to see ..((((((((hugs))))))))rosey:wave:

Rosey any hairdo that can be done that quick is fine by me. Good luck if you go to bingo tonight. Have you been driving the 6 wheeler?? It's not just for guys you know. It's rained here a good bit the last day or so too. We had a rough storm during the night although I don't remember much of it. The boys are still sleeping in our room and haven't gotten over the fire the other day in their room. We have discussed changing rooms over the summer with them. We used to have that room anyway. It's on an end by itself.

Dh isn't any better. In fact he's worse. They have him on Bextra for inflammation and pain but it only takes the edge off for a while and then the pain gets worse than ever. He said from his neck all the way to his tail bone feels like it's on fire and last night his left leg was totally numb. They have so many blood tests running and we get results on them tuesday when he goes back. They are looking into different types of arthritis like RA and checking for heavy metals in his urine. His white blood cells were fine and that's a relief in itself being that it's a sign of more serious diseases.

I started the South Beach Diet late on friday and today is really my second day of phase 1. I hope I can make it for 14 days but in one day I lost 1/2 pound which is good considering I'm also having my monthly and it's heavy today. I've ordered the book for the diet but haven't gotten it yet but got lots of info from this site. I read in Diabetes Forecast magazine that my blood sugar drops most likely are due to my pancreas over working after eating sugars especially the sweet stuff. To correct that, you wean yourself from carbs like that for a while and the SBD is perfect to help me make that change.

Donna are the storms bad for you guys? I don't blame you for putting Elena in summer activities. That keeps them busy and keeps the brains working. I have committed to keeping my nephew one day a week to keep him from daycare. He's 11 and this would have been his last summer he can stay there. I hope I didn't make a mistake.

Summer of course Jim will be fine but it's the wait that's the worse isn't it. I can't wait to hear about your weigh-in. Don't faint! I am the first one to post this fine Monday morning. ;) :rofl: It was a rainy weekend and Elena was sick all weekend long with a fever and coughing. She was able to go to school this morning because her fever finally went down but she was still coughing some. This week is an important week with her cousin's birthday party tonight and PACT testing (standarized state test) this week too. I'm glad she is feeling better but I have said this before but she is sooo sweet when she is sick! :lol3: We had some storms alright this weekend but nothing damaging. At the grocery store of all places was a nice reasonably priced wicker 4 piece set that I have placed on our screened in porch. I am planning to move the table and chairs to the patio just have to find a umbrella now so we can still eat off of it. Would love to find a small bistro set with 4 chairs to put on the screened in porch to still eat outside there on. So far, the sun is shining and it looks like it is going to be a pretty day. :coffee:

Hello Everyone... Its been a busy weekend..We went to storage and got all the summer stuff out.. We put the new table on the patio and cleaned again.. No scrubbing..:lol:..We also got all the greenery away from the bedroom window.. Now I dont have to be afraid of snakes laying there.. I am really scared to death of snakes. I wish they would envent something to kill them all everywhere...It rained off and on over the weekend..I looks like rain today also..I am getting ready to go tanning..so I have to hurry.. I will let you all know if I lost anything after I go to the gym tonight.. I weigh-in there.

It so hard on kids when they are sick and Mom's too..I bet your new wicker furniture is really nice..It sounds like you have a really nice porch where you can entertain or just set and relax and have coffee...Was it brown with tables and sofa and 2 chairs?? Giant grocery store had a set here and it was nice like that.. Giant is like Publics down south..Yes we are alike when it comes to bread and I really miss chips... :lol:..but I cant eat just a few..its the whole bag for me..so I know my weak points..It so very hard.. I was thinking to take 1 day a week and eat things I like..I am debating if that will hurt or help..Not sure if I will do it or not...I will let you and everyone know about my weigh in.. I am nervious..but I have to face the music..so we shall see..I need more recipes and I need some creative ways of fixing chicken..Any thoughts..Jim is a little nervious about the Colonoscpy..but I am confiedent that he is alright.. What was your menu for the week?? I have done a sorta South Beach..I have done fruit Apples in the first phase..They say no but I did anyway.. Jim needed something to keep his sugar ok durring the day..so he eats 2 apples a day...I eat them too and a banana too.. I take a fluid pill and need to keep my potassium up..I know that they are fatting but what other source of potasisum is there to eat??? You can DO IT Dana.. I know that you can do anything you put your mind to do...Its hard the first 2 weeks and I didnt follow it to the letter..What part do you think is the hardest???
He watched the race and was disapointed that Jr didnt win and he does not like Jeff Gordon and niether do I..but theres always next week..
I hope that the children can get over the trama of the fire.. Thats so hard on them and its really scarey for all of you.. Wanted to let you all know that my DH is in the hospital with heart pains. They are admitting him. The EKG was fine and they thought it was a disected aorta but that ct scan came back negative. When they give him Nitro, the pain goes away so they know it's something in his heart. He's on a nitro patch and they want to draw blood and check for enzymes every 3 to 4 hours tonight. I don't know when we will be home or what may happen. Keep us in your prayers.

Hi every one.. its me again..i feel so badly for dana and her dh..that talking of dailey things seems so trivial :?: but here goes..i was at curves today.. and boy am i sore..everyone liked my hair..by the way i use aussie scrunch spray to make it stand up..i love the scrunch and go..summer for breakfast i usually have the lo carb yougart with 1/2 cuo of Kashi go lean crunch granola mixed in it(its a ceral that you can find in the health food dept)i also sometimes have a breakfast cookie..sometimes asmall bagel lofat crm cheese and abanana..once in awhile i make a vegie omelet..hope that helps..when im in ahurry i have akellogs ceral bar but they are really little :?: hope jims tests go well and you will show a loss..my dd was weighed and measured after 1 month at curves she lost 9# and the equivalent od 27 sticks of butter(body fat in inches) i was so proud of her..so im hoping for good results too..i was alooser at bingo but had fun..donna sorry elana was sick and better now i hope..no i have not ridden on the 6 wheeler..i would have a heck of a time even getting on it.. and couldnt reach the handle bars or the pedals on something that big :lol: it would be a sight to see tho..the necklaces are 1 done one to go..i picked a hard pattern and im relearning each step..but fun..mr ken did you loose?? hope so..kris whens your trip busy lady..daphnee where are you?? hope you are ok..dana again we are there with you in spirit and iv got your hand..hang on tight((((((hugs))))))rosey :wave:

Well I just wanted you all to know that I weighed and it said I weighed 66 pounds.. Can you believe that I lost a whole person in 3 weeks.. WOW.. thats really something.. Really the scales were broke.. Now I can take that as a good omen or a bad one.. I choose to believe that its a good sign..but then when I came home I weighed on our scales and it said I lost 12 pounds..
If thats true its great..I am so happy..No matter how much really..Its better than a gain.. Right...

Summer congrats on that loss! Super and I knew you had one! It will show at the gym too.

I have to get my kids up for school in a minute but lastnight Dh was put in a room on the 2nd floor in the telemetry (sp) room. They put a heart monitor on him and it monitors his heart movement at the nurses station no matter what he's doing. They were going to draw lipids at midnight lastnight. i came home at 10 cause the nurses said he would be fine alone and he did too. The nitro had given him a migraine and after 2 doses of tylenol and something in a shot, he still had it and it was making him vomit a little. Yesterday when I went back a new Dr. came in to talk to him and when he pressed around his heart he noticed that caused the pain. He said he couldn't push on your heart and make it hurt so it made it even more evident that it wasn't his heart exactly but muscle or tissue around it. They said they wanted to monitor his heart all night to be 100%. We were waiting on his lead test result when I left lastnight. He has muscular and skeletal something or the other which was a sign that maybe he actually had the lead in his body at such a high rate that it was eating into his muscle and bones. It's treatable with meds. if that's what it is. If it goes undetected, it can kill you. So I hope when I get down there in a bit that they know more. Well thanks for you prayers guys and I will post more when I know it.
