Much better today. Back to work.
Still high winds here today. Getting colder. Talk of snow flurries in the morning.

Super cold and windy today. Back to wearing thermal underwear. Looks like the northeast will be much colder in the next few days.

Tomorrow is weigh-in. This week flew by. I don't think I will get good results this week. Wishing you a good weigh-in tomorrow.

You are moving right along and in the right direction.


My scale showed :goodscale I also went down, but only by 0.5 lbs. I am very happy about that, because I didn't expect to lose anything this week. So I am pleased. :broc:


Finally got a couch today and matching chair. Yippee!! We picked it up and brought it home ourselves. We like the way it looks and feels, and it sits in our room just fine. However, I did have to compromise on my cushions. So they are the one-sided ones with Velcro. We got even a bigger discount today, so we just decided to go with it. The fabric smells a little strong right now from the dyes, but I am sure in a week or so, it will not be too bad. The only other bad thing about it is that I didn't notice that it had a 4 inch cut on the left side probably from when they took it out of the box with a box cutter. I tried to look at it before we left but it was hard to cover every inch of it when there is still paper and plastic all around it. Oh well. I am sure I will be able to find some string and sew it together so it is not too noticeable. There is a slight mix in colors so it shouldn't stand out too much. Anyway, I am happy with it right now.

Still awfully cold here too, in the 30's. However, you have it much colder at 15. :yikes: Yikes. :brr: It gives me the shivers just thinking about it.

Well. it's a balmy 8.7 degrees this morning. Hopefully this will be the last of the very cold weather.

So glad you got a couch. The odor should fade as it gets exposed to the air. Too bad you didn't see the cut before you brought it home, they might have given you more of a discount.

You're on a roll...new car and couch!

Not sure what I'm doing today. I told Sam I wasn't going to cook, so that means we're going out for lunch and I think I want pizza for dinner. I bought a chocolate mousse cake for me. LOL, I wrote chocolate mouse cake, then noticed the typo......

A day of no cooking sounds appropriate for a Sunday, especially for a day like today. I hope they took you somewhere nice for your celebration. However, I would have no will power for the Chocolate mousse cake. I would eat it all until it was gone. I would start with one piece and put it away, then I would hear it calling me back to it a few hours later .....an so on. Hopefully that is not the case for you. ;)However, it is a special day for you...so I hope you have/had a fantastic day!!

I had a very nice day yesterday. We went to my favorite local spot for lunch and for dinner ordered out pizza. The cake was very good and I only had a small piece!

Sam is on vacation for the next week and we need to find a car for my mother-in-law. Not for her to drive, but for us to be able to take her where she needs to go. Our cars are to high for her to get in comfortably.

We found a GMC suv at a local dealer. It looks promising. It's raining here today so we probably won't go see it till tomorrow.

No food for me today. I'm having a colonoscopy tomorrow. Hopefully they won't find anymore polyps. I don't mind the procedure, but the prep isn't much fun.

I need to start looking for a new computer.

We got a few raindrops this evening. I think we are suppose to get a few more tomorrow.
I hope so. This dustbowl needs it bad.

It's safe to shed up to two pounds per week. One pound is 3,500 calories.
So to drop 10 in five weeks you'd have to shave off around 1,000 calories per day
through food changes or extra exercise, or a combination.
But keep in mind that other factors, like your current diet, your genes,
your stress level, and even your sleep schedule can affect how fast things go.
So as long as you're making progress, remind yourself it's not a race.

The car was gone. They had not taken it off their website. It was only a couple of miles away, so it wasn't a problem for us. So now we keep on looking.

I love my Chromebook. I really don't know much about computers, but this one does everything I need.

Do you watch any television shows or movies on your computer? There are a few late night shows that I miss which I try to catch later on my computer. I like Designated Survivor, but 1000PM is way to late for me.

I hope all went well with your Doctor's appointment. I bet you were starving afterwards. I remember how my belly kept growling and very loud too. Hope you had a good outcome.

1. Choose Your Consequence. In order to make yourself stick with something, you have to come up with a deterrent to quitting that would be unpleasant specifically for you. For example, a caffeine junkie could deprieve herself of that glorious morning coffee if she doesn't make it to the gym. Think of things that are uncomfortable and annoying, not harsh or physically painful.

30 min lifting weights and 20 minutes walking

Had only 4 hours of sleep and feeling a bit exhausted. This seems to be my daily routine from mon-Fri. On the weekends, I like to do a 2 hour hike. :)

Test went fine. Nothing found. Don't need another test for 5 years.

I do sometimes watch tv shows or movies on my computer. I usually don't make it past 10:00 either unless I take a nap during the day :)

I guess winter just doesn't want to go away. Looks like we're in for 3-5 inches tonight and then cold weather. There's also talk of a big storm for next week.
