Morning all! Ooooo! Pretty new site! I think I like it! Thanks for all the welcomes! I feel soooo wicked this morning! My mom lives right next door and both of my kids (girl=3, boy=10) spent the night over there. DH got up and went to work and I stayed in bed until 10:00 ALL BY MYSELF!!! I never get to do that (but it sure feels good! )
I am gonna go jump in the shower. I am supposed to go and pick up the Caravan so DH can go over it with a fine tooth comb before we do any business. I am gonna take a SlimFast shake with me. I love those things. I use the powder and put it in a blender with a LOT of ice. Yum! Yum!
BTW is the firm as hard as Tae-Bo? Almost broke my neck with that one! I'm not very coordinated. I have been thinking about WATP.
Oh yeah! I am into dogs too! I have a chihuahua named Buttons indoors and a black lab named Gunnar and a redbone named... of course... Red. lol We live on 40 acres and love our pets... peacocks.... goats... a tame racoon... virtual zoo around here. Well, I am rambling and I am sure mom is about to go nuts. At least MY nerves are better today. I don't feel like a Potential Murder Suspect. Later.
Sorry that I've been missing in action. Summer courses can be a hand full. I made an A on my accounting course that I just finish, and now I'm taking another accounting for this summer session. 9 chapters in 4 weeks is alot to cover. My nose is in the book 24/7 or at least it seems like it.
I hope that everyone is doing okay. I will take the time to read the post tonight when I get home. I'm at the library for the moment (I'm suppose to be studying). So, I guess I better get to it!!
Jana, WTG on your loss! You are doing an awesome job! I'm losing but very slowly, veeeeeery slowly. You will be wearing that bracelet soon. I am still trying to figure out what I will reward myself with. I think a bracelet is a good idea because you will be reminded of why you have it everytime you wear it or look at it, a sort of motivation to keep me going. I have the O magazine, just love Oprah but I haven't had a chance to read this months issue yet now you've peaked my interest. I like what she has to say about weight loss. I have to agree with the PMS, funny it is TOM and I am having the worst PMS ever!
Melissa, your hubby sounds like such a sweetie. You are a very lucky lady. My hubby tries once in a while but is just lost at what to do, but he tries and he is a sweetie. Did I miss something? Why does your puppy have sutures? How are both your doggies doing by the way? I have been meaning to post a photo of my puppy dog keep forgetting. I call him puppy dog but he is going to be 8 in September, he's getting old.
Mel, good luck with your job hunting, I am sending you some luck and good vibes. : :
Everyone has such cute names for their doggies, I love them. I can never think of cute ones but I am compiling a list of names for my next puppy, hopefully one of them will fit and hopefully I will get another puppy soon.
Hi to EVERYONE I missed, that's what happens when you don't post for a couple of days. Hope everyone is having a great Monday. Talk to ya later.
I so enjoy coming in here...its like a treat. If I get all my chores done I get a prize...lol
The funny thing,,,in my family more then 50% are born in Sept...there are 6 of us born on the 10th and 11th. My oldest being the 10th and my youngst on the 26th same day as my dad's. Two of my god children on the 12th and 28th. Let me tell you,,,I get sick of Dairy Queen ice cream cakes real fast..lol
When I was at the pet place getting Skittles her spa package, I saw a little poodle X for adoption,,,,ahhh man, little apricot male. Named Scooter...I fell in love....but DH said no....house is too small. So after we left we went house shopping....lol for a bigger place...lol I think Skittles and Scooter could be great friends...lol
I think if we got another dog I would call it Snickers...lol specially if it was brown.
Just got back from the Theatre,,I am so enjoying this.
I have to work a case tomorrow, not at all excited about that...lol
Went to the gym this morning,,,ran around doing my errands came home and fell asleep...geesh sO I woke up with some very attractive raccoon eyes....lol
WEll I think I added my 2 cents to this conversation...lol
Angie
A chunk of my last post got cut off for some reason...wierd.
Anyway, Im off to work today, and will have to fight the evil battle of cravings vs willpower. My pledge...no junk, no pop.
I really need a new job.
Theres something evil about having hundreds of cases of chips, candy bars, and soft drinks right in front of my face for eight hours straight.
I think I can...I think I can...I think I can...
Cristi....if you would....check out the end of the last thread before it was changed.....I sent you a post I believe you missed.
Just wanted you to see it. Thanks
Mel - hope this week goes a little better for you. Good luck with the job hunting.
Michelle - Aww, your puppy won't hate you at all - they forgive & forget as easily as little children. I'm just so glad you are one of the responsibe pet owners who actually take care of their pets. So, you talk about me to your DH, huh? Tell him I said he's a sweetie!
Kayecee - what are you doing with the Caravan? Ya lost me somewhere....
RUTH!!!! - So glad to see you again! Congrats on the A! Come back soon, okay?
Cristi - losing slowly is the best way - it will stay off a lot longer. If it seems I'm losing fast, it's because I'm SO BIG to start with.
Angie - I think your job as a private eye would be so exciting! Do you read Sue Grafton's books about a PI named Kinsey Milhone? You'd love them, I bet... so would everyone else who likes a good mystery. What kind of case are you working on now?
AL - nice to see you!
Kat - where are you??
Sheesh, I'm going to have to start coming in here more than once a day to catch up with everyone. We have a great thing going, right ladies??
Here's a NSV (non-scale victory) that I am proud to report: Last night I was hungry and did NOT want veggies so I fixed myself a coney (got the sauce from the freezer and nuked it) This is something I NEVER do!! Anyway, when it was done - I took 1 bite and felt SO BAD that I gave it to the dogs. I talked to DH about it, and realized that I hadn't had nearly enough water or protein yesterday. And that really does make such a difference!! So I just took a shower and went to bed with the knowledge that I could eat when I woke up. The fact that I knew I could come here and tell you guys about it REALLY REALLY helped so much!
Morning all!
How is everyone doing today? I think my nerves are finally getting back to normal. Man! I hate losing a week of my life every month to TOM and stress!!!
Sorry I lost you Jana. I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee and I was going to trade it in for a silver Caravan so I could carry my parents and niece with us. I went for a test drive and pulled over in an empty parking lot. I am sure that anyone who was watching thought I was nuts. Imagine spotting some big old woman walking around and around a van then crawling in and sitting in every seat and laying down and such. I am sure that I was very interesting looking. *sigh* Alas, my practical side won. It didn't have all of the gizmos that my Jeep does and it wasn't as comfortable, so I decided to forget van hunting.
Elle- What do you do for a living? You said you are surrounded by lots of junk food all day. I have a hard enough time when I stay in my classroom. I can't imagine having pure evil staring at you all day. Good luck.
Angie- I love the name Skittles. I think it is adorable. What kind of dog is it?
Mel- I hope you find a job soon. My hubby is a concrete finisher and doesn't work much in the winter, so I know it can be stressful to need work. Sending you good vibes.
Well, gonna go drink some coffee. It keeps me from eating. Hope everyone has a good day. (I gotta take DH to the dentist to have a tooth surgically removed. You know how men are, so ya know how the rest of my day will be spent. ) Later.
Michelle,
Im with you girl! I work with Hostess twinkies, passion flakies, may wests....its harsh. I don't know if what I did was a good thing or not but I had hubby bring home a box every so often of each other them. I ate 3 in a row,,,felt sick and have never touched that type of pastry again....
Ok I now know what I hate about house work,,,dusting! I collect angels and they are all covered in dust and I know I just dusted a couple of weeks ago...how often does one need to dust?
I know I can't pass it off as angel dust....lol
Angie
Well, I found a job, a crappy one, but it's a job. I am now an employee at Long John Silvers/A&W. I start Monday. I am actually hoping to hear for General Mills sometime this week, I would rather work there than LJS.
Jana, I agree, I love Sue Grafton's Kinsey stories. Have you ever read any of Janet Evanovich's books? They are also mysteries and they are hillarious . I read just about anything except stories set in the far east, just can't get into them and romance novels. Who has a life like those women?! By the way, congrats on your NSV!
Kaycee, thanks for the good vibes. DH and I were just talking the other day about moving somewhere that it doesn't rain as much as it has been here, or at least somewhere that the winters are a lot milder. Alas, the only places like that, they don't build many basements. I feel for you, I hate when my big baby, er, I mean Dh isn't feeling well!
Well, I better get off here and start dinner. Hope everyone has a great evening.
Mel
I somehow missed a whole thread of conversation....lol
Anyways like you Mel I love Janet Evanovich books,,,waiting for 9.
Jana, never read Sue Grafton books,,,will get one from the library and check it out...
Skittles is a jack russel...(my oldest son calls her a jack @ss thou...she tend to take over his bed when hes sleeping...but I know he loves her just as much as she loves him...lol nothing like watching a big guy baby talking to a small dog...lol)
anyways that dust is calling me name....
Ang
Good day ladies the sun is shining and it is hot! Thank goodness for my treadmill, I wouldn't dare brave his heat. Haven't gotten my walk in as of yet had running around to do this morning but I did manage my bike ride (25 minutes) before my shower this morning. I don't do good in the heat.
Jana, WTG on not eating the coney!
Angel-lover, thanks! I will remember that. You have such cute images/clip-art.
Michelle, how is the puppy? Okay, you need to change that to "I know I can"
Angie, Snickers, Skittles and Scooter sounds adorable!
Kayecee, you didn't like the Caravan or mini-vans period? I have been driving a mini-van for years, Windstar (Silver) at the moment which is fine but I had a Chevy Venture (Red) which I liked so much better. I wanted to go to a SUV but I love all the space of the mini-van, and to think I said I would never drive one. Of course I also said I didn't like red cars but something about that red on that mini-van was nice. Where in AR do you live? My family lives in AR. I was born there but lived most of my life in CA.
Mel, hope you are having some luck with the job hunting.
Hi to everyone I missed and I hope everyone has a wonderful day today. I am going to try and check back later, I tried last night but wasn't able to get on, kids had it tied up. Take care ladies and have a good one.
Angie and Mel we must have been posting at the same time.
WTG on the job Mel! I know it's not your dream job but it is a job none the less. WTG!
Angie, Angel-lover and I also collect angels. Of course I collect othere things too and I really need to stop but Angels are my downfall. I even do a pastel blue/white and glass (clear) Christmas tree covered with angels. I don't know if I can ever go back to the traditional tree after doing this one. The balls are pastel blue and white and then the angels are glass and white.
Anyway, I am needing to get off this again EVERYONE have a good one.
