A very happy birthday to you Michelle. I second that comment that you have lots of leftover goodness in you today from yesterday's Worldlie Powwow. What a great picture of the 3 of you. Wish I could have been there. Now that you've hit your fabulous decade (and it will be fabulous) I hope that the rest of the year will be full of good things for you. It is a weekend isn't it? So make some fun for yourself today.
Mel - was most surprised to see that there were not one but 2 tornadoes up your way

Did you do the duck and cover???? Loved the penguin birthday pic.
Shad - VERY nice job on the new bin storage facility. I think the stones look so much nicer than grass or just pavers. I think you and DH would make fast work of clearing out the back lot here - bring gloves and work clothes when you come

Isn't it funny how there is always more stones / dirt / sand than you thought you needed, even after careful measurement. I am fascinated by the orchid baskets hanging from your tree. I'm used to seeing bird feeders instead. Are you taking a rest today after your hard work?
No rest for Ellen. Good heavens woman, you sure are one busy lady and I suppose as the kids grow, you have even more directions to head off in. Thank you for your prayers.
Annie - thanks for posting the picture. Was great to see all of you. I just bet you had the most wonderful time. Too bad you had such a long drive, otherwise you could have spend all day and evening I'm sure. Had I still been living down the road from Laura, we could have turned it into a pajama party
Ceejay - you know, I do sort of miss those thunderstorms down south. I always said that it sure does know how to rain good down there - never seen it rain so hard in my life as it does in Memphis. Are you still getting the heat?
Laura - when I saw your picture I was thinking you bear a striking resemblance to the girl who was John Travolta's dance partner in Saturday Night Fever (which I just watched again a few weeks ago). Glad you had a good time together, it's nice to put faces to everyone. I think up to this point I've only seen your hair
Worked from 9:30 to 6 yesterday. The owner didn't think we'd be that busy but she was wrong. We were just about as busy as the first day I started, the day before Labor Day when everyone was crusing town. I sat down for 10 minute while I sat in my car and scarfed down a couple of bites of lunch. Came home completely wiped out. Told them that's why I only want to work 3 days a week. It's just so physically tiring that you don't get anything else done. I am working 5 days this coming week also but after that it should ease up a bit. We are doing way better in sales this year than last year at this time. I said that's because word got out about the fabulously entertaining new sales clerk who is chatting up the customers

Actually I love talking with the people. Most of the folks are very very nice and it's good to get some socializing going on.
I am off today and I have to go out and see how my garden is doing. Probably time to shut it down. We hit temps in the mid 30's the last few nights. Decided not to tarp the plants because as DH says, no one else is tarping them and it means going out every night and covering them and then opening them up each morning because it gets pretty hot in there once the sun hits it. Also there's alot of dew overnight so it's pretty wet and messy. I will see how things are going and we might take out some plants. The grape tomatoes are doing fine, if I have enough ripening tomatoes I might make another batch of sauce to freeze. I think the cucumbers are about done for the season but the bell peppers seem to favor the cooler weather. The trees are starting to turn yellow, we should be getting some color in the next week or two as the local towns schedule their fall festivals. The good thing about working all these hours is I have a big paycheck to spend

But the crown that broke on my tooth last fall (which I haven't done anything with

) appears to be crumbling now so I'd better check out the insurance and a dentist.
Hope you all have a nice Sunday.
