CHELLE....we are the last thing you need to worry about. Just know that we are here for you always. Try not to worry about things, it is God's plan and you cannot change it. It will be what he wants it to be so worrying will not help. Just know the HE has your best interest in mind whatever the outcome.

CEEG...do not tell anyone you have the weekend free as someone will try to fill it up for you. I, too, need to go through my closets.

MELLIE...hey ya sweet cheeks...we are having fabulous weather here also, finally. 82 sunny and very little humidity. Yeah! Too bad we have to be in the office. blah! Glad you and Jen are getting quality yak time. Yakity Yak, can't go back...lol

SHADDIE...you are really $h*tting and getting on the yard work. I think I may have harvested the last of my lettuce last night. I have a ton of green tomatos waiting to turn. A few green onions and about 10 cucumbers that need to grow a bit. I may have 2 or 3 zucchini that will get growing before cold weather hits. Next spring we are going to build up the dirt a bit in both veggie gardens before planting, now that I know where the water tends to stand once watered.

HAPPY...hope your momma is doing better each day. I agree that she needs to stay in the hospital until she is a little better and mobile, will make it better for your sis. Sassy has no trouble getting up, but she is definitely not liking the dewy grass on her belly and tries to run back to the porch. I have to scoop her back up and take her out to the grass to potty. Boy, once she potties, she runs like he!! to go back into the house.

LAURA...we are on the same dinner path...I made baked fish for dinner Monday evening, it was great, then brought the leftovers for lunch yesterday. Too bad your fish got a lil to dark and crispy. boo! I believe I would rather smell burnt fish rather than a skunk. But do not want to smell either really.

Hellos to Ellen, Java and all the rest of yas!

Loves and Hugs

OOOOOOH ANNIE....I AM IN THE MOOD FOR THIS. GLAD I AM GOING SHOPPING TOMORROW. ADDING THE INGREDIENTS TO MYMLIST RIGHT AWAY! THANKS FOR THE IDEA....GREAT FRIDAY & WEEKEND FOOD!
HAD A LAUGH AT THE BABE AND SASSY. TOO CUTE FOR WORDS.
MAYBE YOU CAN COME HERE AND POTTY TRAIN SOME OF THE SENIORS.
MAYBE I BETTER NOT LAUGH SO HARD.,...IT COULD BE ME ONE DAY

CEEJAY.....OH...NEVER THOUGHT OF WALMARTS NEW USAGE AMOUNTS. TOO TRUE. BETTER USAGE THAN A LEAK! :crossed: HOPE YOU CAN KEEP THE TANK TOPPED UP. YOU & SHAD ARE MOTIVATING ME TO GO THRU SOME CLOTHES THIS WEEKEND. THE LIGHTER STUFF CAN GO AWAY I THINK. ALSO SOME TO TOSS!!

MICHELLE.....WORRY ABOUT YOURSELF RIGHT NOW. WE WILL STILL BE HERE WHEN YOU ARE CALMER. GLAD YOU HAVE A 3 DAY WEEKEND AND HOPE IT GOES WELL. SENDING GOOD THOUGHTS YOUR WAY NO MATTER WHAT THE OUTCOME. ABOVE ALL TRY TO STAY SANE & KEEP THE CHEST PAIN DOWN TO A MINIMUM. TRY TO CHILL OUT:hug:

 I'M LEAVING EARLY IN THE MORNING
SO I CAME BY TO SAY HAVE A GREAT THURSDAY.
JEN & I HAVE A WHOLE DAY PLANNED AND DINNER WITH RICHIE TOO.
I MIGHT NOT MAKE IT BACK HERE TILL FRIDAY.
HAVE A GOOD NIGHT.

Laura705 09-12-2012 12:29 PM

Morning all.

Annie - The fish wasn't burnt, and the remaining smell wasn't fishy, just the olive oil smell from the frying really put me off. So glad we don't fry often at all! As for the skunk smell, it fades pretty quickly once the skunks have moved on, so I'm used to it by now. Just have to make sure Coal stays inside until the smell is gone!!! Mmm, the pasta dinner sounded tasty. In the mood for pasta, just have to really watch portions. The mom & pop place we go to serves a gigantic plate of it and even though it looks like you haven't even made a dent in it, you've probably already eaten a couple portions or more!! Sounds like Sassy is everyone's little darling!!

Michelle -Chest pains are not good!! I'm so glad you're going to see a counselor and hopefully he/she will help you get your thoughts in order and experience some calmness - all this stress and lack of sleep are obviously playing havoc with your health!! Don't worry about keeping up with the personals, if I win the lottery I'll be sure to text you, lol.

Ceejay - What's worse - a leak, or Walmart using all that water??!! Nice you'll have a weekend all to yourself!! Ahhh. :)

Shad - I have to clean my closet too. Every once in a while I point out to myself that there's a whole section of clothes I never wear and they are just taking up valuable real estate (we have a typical 1950's ranch home with typical tiny closets).

Mel - Hope you get out and enjoy the outside world today! :) Love the skunk graphic!!

Happy - Nice your mom will get to go home tomorrow. So she won't ever leave the house she's in? Let the trickery begin I say, before something bad happens!! I like the itinerary you prepared for Mel. :D

 Ellen

I enjoyed the "Bourne Legacy" last night. I didn't think the first half hour was bad, just not as good as the rest of the movie. I do like Jeremy Renner - might even like him better than Matt Damon because Renner's a better actor (IMO). Saw a preview of "Red Dawn" which I imagine is a remake of the old Patrick Swayze movie. Not quite sure since I was too busy chatting with a friend during the trailer. All I needed to know is Chris Hemsworth (Thor) is in it and so I'm totally on board for seeing that one!

Went to bed too late and suddenly it was morning and I'd hit the snooze button three times! Oh well, some days are like that.

Today's my Thursday because I'm taking a vacation day on Friday and going to the Dells with a friend. Looking forward to a change of scene.

Cheers!

LAURA....YOU SNUCK IN ON ME!! OOOOH THOR!!! LOVE THAT GUY.
GLAD YOU LIKE THE MOVIE & WILL PASS THAT ON TO JEN.
I READ SOME OF THE BOURNE BOOKS AND THEY WERE GOOD.
SO MANY REMAKE MOVIES OUT. GUESS THEY RUN OUT OF IDEAS.
ENJOY YOUR LONG WEEKEND WHEN IT ARRIVES!!:beach:

happy2bme 09-12-2012 01:18 PM

Hi ladies,

Been trying to get in her since 7 this morning.

Mom Report - since they gave her Lasix ? diuretic to get rid of the excess water now her potassium levels are too low. They still have her in the hospital, between the coumadin and the potassium, hopefully they can get her stabilized enough to get out today. They suggested followup with a visiting nurse which thankfully covered by Medicare. She is also going to switch cardiologists to the practice that is convienient for my sister which is good. Mom is in  with one of the young doctors she saw yesterday   I spoke to the shop owner today who called to see how my Mom was doing (they are SO nice). She said if anything happens, not to worry, just do what I have to because family comes first. Looks like I will be heading to Chicago Tuesday or Wednesday of next week and staying 2 weeks until the 4th of October. Which means I get to help my sister celebrate her 5-0 birthday. Can't believe my little sister is 50. I guess now I'm the little sister ;) ;) Mom is very happy I am coming to stay for a while.

Farm Report - tonight we are supposed to get very close to freezing and probably will get a frost here. I harvested 2 bowls of tomatoes and will be either roasting a pan or making another batch of sauce today. Got 8 cucumbers - there's just 4 tiny ones on the vine, don't know if they will make it tho cukes like colder weather. Picked 5 small bell peppers, also have several small ones budding. Got a couple of jalapenos - not sure what I'll do with them. They aren't really hot because the weather didn't get warm enough to heat them up. One plant produces way more than we need. I might chop what I have and freeze them. I think I want to tarp the tomatoes tonight. It's overcast and we should be getting some rain - I hope it does before evening so they can get some water. I don't want them to get too cold tonight. DH will not be in favor of putting the plastic on, particularly if I am going away but if I can at least save a few more, I can take them with me to Mom's. No doubt when I come back, the garden will probably be ripped out for the season because by then farming will for sure be finished ;)

Yesterday didn't get as warm as it was supposed to - got to the mid 70's and stayed there. I did sit outside with DH for a bit and we watched the birds. I told him I thought this was pretty much going to be the last nice day before the coolness sets in for good. It stayed warm last night - so much so that we thought about putting the air conditioning on to sleep. But at some point during the wee hours of the morning, it cooled off and was 54 when I got up and pretty much stayed there. Now I need to hop in the shower, go to the post office and drop off Sophia's gift to send to you Shad, get some groceries and the rest of what I need for some soups and chili.

Mel - I love when you sing. Makes me :D really big. So nice to hear that you have a day planned with Jen and a nice dinner with the family. Hope you have a wonderful time!

Laura - visting the Dells will be fun. It's cooler now so bring a warm sweatshirt but the crowds will be down and you should be able to move about freely and enjoy the weekend. Thanks for the movie review. I've not seen any of that series, but DH likes them.

Annie - now that we have some garden experience under our belt, we'll do some things differently too - including adding more dirt to the raised beds. All in all I'd say this was a good harvest. Same for you and you had to deal with a drought. I sure wouldn't mind some 82 degree weather here, so enjoy it for me. Yes, I told Mom not to have "ants in the pants" and it's better for her to be released when stable instead of hurrying out and just having to go back in again in messed up again. And she has taken it to heart and seems to be ok with it. But perhaps she is hoping to see the cute doctor again ;) It's going to be very entertaining to hear how Sassy deals with snow if she doesn't like dewy grass  Thanks for the chicken recipe - I'm going to see if I can get that seasoning at the store today. Sounds yummy.

Michelle - I'm so glad you are getting time to see a counselor on your own. It sounds like a great idea to be able to sort your feelings, decide what you want and maybe get some tips on approaching talking things over with H. Sorry you are having the chest pains - lack of sleep and stress will do that. Not a fun feeling at all. It's nice that work gave you the extra time off - good plan to have an intensive weekend as I'm sure this will be difficult. The important thing is to be able to talk - and listen to to what the other is trying to say. Falling in love is sooo much easier than staying that way  Sending you hugs and good wishes.

Ceejay - I am aware of how new home construction will put a drain (no pun intended ;) ) on water usage but never gave it a thought about how much a store would affect things. Guess your office has to keep tabs on everything going on in town. Good luck cleaning out the closet. I have a hard time with that because I really like most of the stuff in mine.

Shad - I have every intention of getting that box sent to you today. Will come back and let you know when it's on it's long journey. My apologies for not sending it sooner. Hope you are enjoying remodeling the yard :D

Hi Ellen

Gotta get off this computer now - day's half over and tomorrow is a long stretch of work days. Bye for now

annie175 09-12-2012 01:57 PM

HAPPY...when you get to Chicago, look up Laura...she is a real sweetheart and I am sure you will have a very nice visit. Just talked to C, he lowered the blade on the mower when he mowed today. I then asked, why so Sassy's belly doesn't rub the dewey grass? He sheepishly replied yes and laughed. What a sucker. Oh yeah, I have about 6 green/red peppers almost ready for pickin also. What a bunch of nice people you are working for/with...sounds fun. I don't work at CVS anymore, spending my time with C and now Sass.

MELLIE...thanks for the song lyrics, was just hummin' it while reading the words. Have fun tomorrow on your day out with Jen.

LAURA...might have to go see Red Dawn, I saw it the first time it was out. Have fun at the Dells this weekend. SHould be fun.

Later gators.

happy2bme 09-12-2012 02:26 PM

Annie,

Laura lives probably 1/4 mile away from where I lived when I lived in Chicago. Isn't it funny that we lived across from each other and probaby passed each other in the grocery store but didn't meet until years later??? In order to go see her, I'd have to take the El from my Mom's in the city, downtown to the train station and the train station to her place. (DH is dropping me off so I won't have a car.) That's about 3 hours of travelling. One way.

However, Laura if you want to meet downtown one night for a quick dinner after work, I'm open to that. I wouldn't want to hop the Orange Line back to the ghetto when it was dark, but I'm open to meeting up if you'd like.

annie175 09-12-2012 06:22 PM

HAPPY AND LAURA....do not miss an opportunity to meet...that is an order!!

happy2bme 09-12-2012 09:58 PM

Annie - I am bummed :( they have about 8 different kinds of that McCormack seasoning at the store but not the orange one. As my cousin would say - remember where you are living. Maybe I can get it when I go into Chicago.

diyana 09-13-2012 08:12 AM

Met with the counselor last night...I didn't feel much better afterward..but really didn't expect to. The first appointment is always to re-hash what has happened. And since we don't know what the hubby wants...other than "we need to talk"...DUH. REALLY? Tonight we won't get home from the airport until around 8 or 8:30, and we'll both be exhausted...I know I will be as I already am. I woke up at midnight. :tired:

I have a counseling appt scheduled for tomorrow...and I would like DH to go with me....but who knows if that will happen. :dunno:

Oh, and I've lost 6 more pounds...making for roughly 15 pounds in less than 2 weeks. I wouldn't recommend this stress-induced nausea resulting in not eating diet...but it is working better than Weight Watchers.

I need to find me some coffee. :tired: :coffee: Hope y'all are doing well.

Much love,

annie175 09-13-2012 08:18 AM

Good Morning...nuttin' much to report today.

Last night's dinner was beef stroganoff and garden salad. I tried a new recipe with the stroganoff that was so easy.

HAPPY...I will send you some of the McCormack seasoning. Next time I go grocery shopping, I will get you some.

HELLO to all the chickies!!

Will come back later.

Love and Hugs

annie175 09-13-2012 08:19 AM

CHELLE...you are the sneaker inner today...Stay strong sister and may the force be with you. xoxo

annie175 09-13-2012 08:23 AM

Easy Beef Stroganoff - very tasty

1 (12 ounce) package egg noodles, cooked and drained
  • 6 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook egg noodles in boiling water until done, about 8 minutes. Drain.
  2. Meanwhile, prepare the sauce. In a large skillet, cook mushrooms and onions in 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat until soft; remove from pan.
  3. Using the same pan, melt remaining butter. Cook ground beef in melted butter until browned. Mix in flour. Stir in beef broth, and cook until slightly thickened. Add mushroom and onion mixture; stir in sour cream. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Continue cooking until sauce is hot, but not boiling. Serve sauce over egg noodles.

happy2bme 09-13-2012 09:05 AM

Good morning all,

Thought it was Monday for a minute since I actually had 2 whole days off in a row. I went into town to run some errands and stopped in the shop and got the marching orders for the next 4 days of work. Yes, they expect alot but they are such good people. And what they expect is old fashioned responsibility, nothing unreasonable. Got all my errands run, was on my feet more than I'd like to but that's how it goes. Didn't get the tomatoes cooked up like I had wanted to either. So many things swirling in my head to get done before I leave.

Shad - one of my errands was to get the baby gift off to the post office. Done. Should get to your side of the pond in about 2 weeks. They said once it leaves the post office (didn't know if she meant literally the building or leaving this country), they can't say how long it will take. I can only hope that it doesn't take over a month like Scotland.

Far as I know Mom was still in the hospital last night. Called BIL at 7 and Sis had just texted him that they were still reviewing her potassium and INR (blood clotting factor) and they MIGHT let her go. Didn't hear otherwise so I assume they kept her one more night. My poor sister must be exhausted. I also called my best friend growing up last night. Her MIL lived across the street from my Mom and she and hubby are fixing up the house (MIL passed away a year ago), getting ready to sell and she is on vacation next week so we will be able to spend some time together. It's one of those friends where you might not talk for 6 months or even a year but when you do, it's like you were just together last week. Will be nice to see her as last Christmas we did such a short visit with family, we didn't get to see anyone.

Annie - if it's not out of your way I'd love if you sent me some of the spice packs. I will glady pay you for them. Your stroganoff recipe does sound delicious and easy. I LOVE stroganoff! Will have to file that one for when I get back. DH is making (or supposed to) a slow roasted beef stew that cooks at 250 degrees for 5 hours. We'll see how that comes out for supper tonight. Seems to me that running 5 hours of propane is not very economical  but he wanted to try it. I'm afraid my old crock pot might just cook it too high. SOOOO funny about C cutting the grass to adjust for Sassy  See, she just brings love to everyone she touchs. :D

It looks like we still have 2 hummingbirds left who did not get the message that they should have started their journey south long ago. Supposed to get below freezing tonight, I hope they can stay warm. Debating about whether I should try to salvage my herbs which are quickly petering out. Might just pop the rosemary into the garage when I get home as I'm sure DH is not going to fuss with things when I'm gone.

Mel - hope you have a wonderful day planned with Jen and you both have a good time today.

Michelle - I am sorry that you didn't get any sort of comfort from the counselor. Doesn't sound as if hubby had second thoughts and decided he made a huge mistake and was wrong, wrong, wrong. *sigh* I guess it remains to be seen how your talks go. I hope he will be in favor of the counselor as an intermediary but if he doesn't like conflict... My guy is not into telling strangers his issues so I can imagine what it's like trying to drag them into a session. My heart goes out to you  I know you probably have no appetite and your stomach is a jumble but that's way too much weight to lose so soon and not good for you. Please make sure you take care of yourself - you can't afford to be getting sick either. Sending you love, strength and a virtual tongue depressor (to bite your tongue when needed) as you proceed with your talks this weekend. Be strong my friend.

About time to hop in the shower and then figure out what I want to take for lunch. House is stocked up so it's a matter of whether I want a cold sandwich or a hot lunch. Give me strength to get through the next 4 days on my feet.

Good morning to Laura, Ellen, Ceejay, Patty and Turtle. Catch you later.

annie175 09-13-2012 10:43 AM

HAPPY....no worries on payment for seasoning....my gift to you lovie!!

Laura705 09-13-2012 10:45 AM

Morning all.

Mel - Hope you have a good shopping trip today and that the shelves were well-stocked for you!!

Happy - Good that your mom will have a traveling nurse to visit and that she's switched doctors. Fortunate that a good looking doc happened along to help persuade the change, lol. I'd love to get together for dinner after work while you're here - so cool that I get to meet another of the Worldlies!! :) As of now, the only weeknight that doesn't work for me is Oct. 3, and since you leave the next day I imagine that wouldn't be a good day for you either. Perhaps there's an opportunity to get together on a weekend, though I don't know the south side at all and your description of it as the ghetto is offputting - surely you exaggerate (sp?) a bit? What neighborhood does your mother live in? Hope your 4 days at work go well and are not so tiring - hopefully it's slowed down a bit.

Annie - The stroganoff recipe sounds delish & easy - bf loves stroganoff, so I copied and pasted it into an e-mail to him just now. Yum. So darn cute that C cut the lawn shorter just for little Sassy!! If I were him I would have just said that the final lawn mowings of the season can be shorter... :D

Michelle - You've been up since midnight???!!! Gawd, how are you going to get through the day?! Here's something you'll need: :coffee: :coffee2::coffee2::coffee2::coffee2::coffee2: :coffee2: And make sure you get some fresh air during the day, and try to eat something too!! So glad you have tomorrow off work - I sure hope you can get some sleep. Please consider taking that nyquilzzzzzz stuff! I hope hubby decides to go to the session with you - this will show his willingness to work on the marriage (or sadly, maybe not). There are all kinds of things in life that need to be done no matter how difficult or unpleasant, so I don't think counseling is too much to ask. If you feel strongly about it, don't accept a no.

Hellos to Ceejay, Ellen, Patty & Java. And here's some news - saw on facebook that our Mary has gotten herself hitched! Miss Java Turtle or I guess now it's Mrs. ??? - if you see this (and you may not if you are off honeymooning at this moment  ) - let me offer a big congrats to you and dh. :congrat:

===
We had an all-employee meeting yesterday at which they announced a new wellness initiative. They are offering a free comprehensive health evaluation, i.e., including blood chem panel, and as an incentive, they will pay us if we commit to completing the evaluation this year and next year. Also applies to spouses/domestic partners that are part of the co. health plans. That's something bf and I do anyway, so sure, I'll take the $$$ for it. I have a followup w/ my primary physician after work re my bp, so I'll tell her about that and hopefully she can receive a copy of the results from the lab that our company has contracted with to do the evals.

Nothing much else to report from my corner of the world. Tonight or tomorrow morning I have to pack a bag for my weekend away, and then tomorrow morning I'll take the train to meet my friend and we'll drive up to the Dells. Definitely have to bring some warmer clothing since it's gonna be cooler the next few days.

diyana 09-13-2012 10:59 AM

Congrats Java Turtle!!!

Laura - Both my former and current companies had health evals and healthy living initiatives that resulted in reduced medical insurance premiums. Good stuff. have a wonderful time in the Dells. :)

I haven't been up the whole time since midnight. I did sleep for an hour or two before having to get up for work. And when I was up at midnight, I put a roast in the crock pot so it was done by the time I got up for work. This way the hubby can have roast beef sandwiches for dinner tonight.

I can't even begin to tell you how scared I am. When I woke up at midnight, I was thinking that maybe spending the entire week with her has confirmed that he loves her. I cannot afford to live in the house by myself, nor can I afford to buy him out. And it needs a lot of work before it is sellable. I suppose SHE could afford to give him the money to buy me out of the house. I'm really trying to stay positive, but I'm just not feeling very optimistic because while he says we need to talk (DUH. Really?) , I asked him if he thinks we can work it out....and he said nothing. I asked him if he hopes we can work it out, and he said, I don't want to talk about this on the phone (he was driving in traffic).

I'm really freaked out. I just don't know how I'm going to get through today leading up to when I see him....much less this weekend when he will probably drop the bomb on me. I'm so over this pain. I'm not strong enough. Annie, I know what you keep telling me...that I am strong enough. But I'm just not feelin' it.

Love y'all,

Laura705 09-13-2012 11:12 AM

Aww, Michelle, I'm so sorry you've had to be in this limbo for so long and have had nothing to do but think about this over and over. I know it's hard, but don't jump ahead to the future challenges, just take one thing at a time. And you are strong enough - you've had so much adversity just this year with your job loss and dealing with your back and your husband's illness. You can certainly handle this, just don't try and have it all worked out immediately. And you're not alone, so seek out the support you need!

annie175 09-13-2012 01:53 PM

CHELLE>..we are what we project. YOU are stong, you can handle it, you will do it. I did it with two kids in tow and not a lick of self esteem because I LET HIM steal it from me. Be bigger than he is...all this heart ache better be worth it.

ceejay52 09-13-2012 02:34 PM

Annie
I like that advice.

Michelle
I second the advice that Annie offered.

Laura
Thank you for keeping us informed about Mrs. Java. Hope you and Happy can meet.

Happy
I have a friend since grade school like that. We may not talk for years but it's like we've never grown apart. I need to call her this afternoon as she is the one who has had the colon surgery for cancer.

Mel
How are things going with you?

Shad
Have you slowed down on you projects?

----
Think the guys yesterday wasn't sure about a water leak or not but I saw them around 10.30 coming from the direction of the leak with a back hoe. My friends and I celebrated another birthday today.

I think dealing with the elevated tank yesterday has given me a headache. I took a couple of equate migraine's tablets just in case. But I'm going to lay down in a dark room just in case.

diyana 09-13-2012 03:53 PM

I so appreciate all your wonderful support, encouragement and love. In just a few hours, I'll be seeing him again, please pray for us.

Ceejay - I hope the migraine eases up soon. Migraines suck.

Shad 09-13-2012 04:26 PM

Morning all,
Up early this morning and will get cracking on the garden very shortly. I have started on another project on the other side of the driveway and will get on with that soon. No doubt photos will appear at some time. This is part of that wall that the DS2 built for me some time back. He put stones and pebbles between the wall and the drive but didn't dig out the soil far enough and didn't put down weedmat so it needs to be redone. After that I will be connecting up a water sprinking system to go in that part of the garden and we can have some more soil in there and plant my azaleas which are currently suffering in pots.
I also seem to have scored a new job. My old mate Mick from WBS rang me sometime back muttering about Northern Territory Government and Darwin. I said to send in my CV. As with all Governments things work slowly and yesterday they rang me for an interview. I made it through the interview and lo & behold WBS rang me not three hours after the interview and told me the job was mine. So we now jump through the hoops to sign, seal and deliver contracts. I think I am due to start on 1st October.

Michelle - here's hoping things go the way that you want them today. I echo Annies words. You are stronger than you think. You do not want to be a doormat for someone who thinks you are only around to help pay mortgages and food bills and medical benefits. You have the right to live a life that is free and fair and respectful. And if the worst comes to the worst, you can live an independent life on your own. You have the power.

Annie - love Stroganoff and make it quite often here. Might even get to make some this weekend coming now that you have put the idea in my head.

Ceejay - hope the headache has gone away and you are feeling better today.

Turtle - is that right? You have gotten married? Congratulations

Laura - Seem to remember Michelle talking about those wellness centres. Sounds like a good idea. Hope you have a great weekend away. No idea where the Dells might be. I should go take a look on Google.

Ellen - must be rushing from one activity to another again.

Happy - Here's hoping that your mom continues to improve and comes home soon. I hope you have a good trip to see her and that you can ram some sense into her head for living conditions. I remember the fuss that my mum put up when she had to go to a home, but yours are a completely different set of circumstances than those.

Mel - gone shopping I guess. I hope you find a nice bloke stuck up on one of the shelves that you can purchase and order around. Preferably one with a trade.

Think that is everyone - I'm sure someone will tell me if I have missed them. I'd better get out on the job and see if I can get a bit done before it gets too warm. Happy, I will look out for the parcel and send it on. One of these days you will get an email from the DS1 saying thanks. Do not hold your breath as he is still juggling night feeds and jobs, housework and dogwork. I haven't had any new pictures since I came home - a fact that I made comment on since I got back. Anyway, now I will have to ring him again and let him know I will be living directly north of him in the near future. There will be 3000km between us instead of the 2500km there is now. Put like that, it is a big country. Okay, gotta get on with the day.

Shad - The Wisconsin Dells is sort of in the central part of the state. It's about 1.5 to 2 hours west of where I live, and several hours south of Happy. If you can look past all the touristy things (waterparks, amusement parks, etc.), you'll see some gorgeous scenery. :)

Good Evening Girlies.....

Well, lil Sassy is completely worn out. Sissy had her outside while she did yard work...about 2 1/2 hours. Sis couldn't see her so she yelled Sassy, lo and behold she raised her head and then went back to passing out under the weeping willow tree. I got home a little early. Sas has been passed out in her kitty bed since 5 pm. It is 7:30 now, hope that doesn't mean she will be up all night.

Dinner tonight was zucchini casserole. One casserole was a complete meal. Zucchini, bacon, tomatos, cheese, herbs and spices. C loved it and ate two helpings. Now he is out fishing on the pond with the neighbor. I love that as it gives me "ME TIME". lol.

CHELLE....I swear girl, do not make all the concessions, he needs to be considerate and respectful of YOU. Do not deduce your importance. Giving all the effort just makes him expect more from you to make him happy and then he is less respectful of you. My God girl, have some respect for yourself. I just want to hold your hand through all of this and be in the discussions, cause I just know what kind of sh*t he will be feeding you...I am sorry to be so blunt and forward, but really I have been there and see all the red flags. You NEED to have faith in YOURSELF...you can survive no matter what!!

SHADWICK....October 1st on the work...that gives you a couple of weeks to get things done. Seem like perfect timing IMO. By the time C and I get there your place will be even more splendid.

MELLIE...what a wonderful day you had...as with HAPPY, I will send you some to the spices they neglect to have on hand for you. I am telling you the recipe is well worth it. I plan on getting to the grocery this weekend to get everyone who requests it.

CEEG..WTF...do they not believe you when you tell them there is a leak...Really, I think by now you know what you are talking about..

Hello to all the worldlies...

Love and hugs...

1day@atime 09-13-2012 11:00 PM

Hello Ladies,

Mitchelle - I've been keeping up with you girl and I am so sorry. I agree with all the girls here... You are a strong women, and deserve all the love and respect... I pray he comes to his senses & realizes what he he has in you.
Hugs, to you... and remember you are LOVED by all of us..

Great picture of you ladies, sounds like you all had a great time..

I might be going to Chicago, in Oct.. (hint, hint) for work.. I should know in the next week..I think i'd be staying at Shumberg? does that sound right..

I will post more, but just wanted to pop in and say hello.. Traveling tomorrow morning, so i have to get up really early...

happy2bme 09-13-2012 11:57 PM

It's Schaumburg Patty. Home of Woodfield Mall. Used to live near there once upon a time.

Michelle - I just saw your FB post. I am very very sorry and there is alot I'd say but it is not my place. I can only tell you that last year I went through the wringer - emotionally, financially, and physically. I thought I'd lose it for sure. And I had to go through that place to come out on the other side - a MUCH better place than I left. And while it hasn't been easy, we did it. I say this because as this point you might be feeling the crumpled pile of sadness, anger, stress and worry. But you will rise from this. Seems to me you have been the support for a long, long, long time. Stick the bass-turd is all I will say for the moment. Besides I am sorry you are going through this. Just remember that you are NOT alone. Take EVERY resource you can to take care of you. Please.

happy2bme 09-14-2012 12:05 AM

And Michelle - get a good lawyer even if you have to borrow some money. DO NOT let him stiff you.

annie175 09-14-2012 07:51 AM

CHELLE...my heart is breaking for you sweet sister. Just know you will be ok no matter what, and please come here for support. You have my phone number DO NOT HESITATE to call me. You are loved.

upswife 09-14-2012 08:32 AM

Ohh ladies, I don;t know where my week has gone. Been running here and there and have been super tired, My allergies are making it difficult to sleep at night, so I wake up exhausted. Will check in and cathc up this weekend.

Luv and Hugs!!

happy2bme 09-14-2012 09:03 AM

Good morning ladies,

Michelle - I hope you got some sleep last night and I'm sure you woke up with a heavy heart this morning. It's sort of a shame that you have the long weekend to be around the house. Above all, keep your wits about you - as difficult as it may seem. Get in the car if you have to and call any one of your friends or a counselor. Make plans for your future. And do NOT do anything for the POS. No meals, no laundry, no mowing the lawn or doing any of his chores because he's too tired. Bah! Lots of people who have been through this who I'm sure can offer some well intentioned advice. You are not alone - remember that.

Even the Packers are supporting you girl - as they trounced the Bears last night. Sorry to had to miss that because you had to pick up Bobo the Fool.

Glad to hear the rest of the Worldies are doing well.

It's another work day for me. Came home last night and used the foot spa I bought long ago with some Eucalyptus salts since I could not find the big 10 pound bag of epsom salts I know is in this house somewhere. Then I slept with the electric blanket on low just to give a bit of soothing heat. Still achey but feeling better than I would have if I didn't do it. Sure do wish I had a nice big whirlpool tub. Maybe some day :D

Guess I'd better go and get ready and maybe hit the store a bit early. There's a big road bike race going on this weekend - might mean extra business for us. A lady dropped off my logo "uniform" t-shirts yesterday. In the worst color for my face - dark brown. :( And I washed them carefully (100% cotton) but I think they still shrunk a bit. Hope I don't look too scary. Anyway, on with the day. Please forgive my lack of personals right now, will catch up later.

annie175 09-14-2012 10:34 AM

HAPPY...take some Aleve if you can, that helps a lot. Have a great day at work!

Shad 09-14-2012 05:04 PM

Morning all

Michelle - so sorry to hear all of what you are going through just now. Stay strong and care for yourself. I endorse what Happy said. No doing anything for him. He is obviously capable of making decisions - he just made a big one after all. You are no longer available to be at his beck and call. Since he is inviting her to come to Wisconsin, he can be accountable for his own muck. Now is not the time to become an emotional mess. Stiffen up and make the necessary moves to get yourself your due.

Happy - dark brown tee shirts. Well they won't show much dirt - other than oil or grease stains. Send pics!!!!

Patty - good to hear from you and nice to know that you may be meeting up with Laura later in the year. Happy too, if she is still in Chicago at that time.

Annie - I'll be saving up some projects for when you come over. I'll leave some digging for you. Might get you to dig up some of that rotten black plastic weed mat I put in some years back and which is a proper curse. Of course in digging it up, you will have to replant trees, dig up paths, shift the water tank and a hundred other things

Laura is off in the cornfields with friends - have a great weekend.

Ellen is flat stack busy as per normal.

Mel - Hope you have a quiet weekend and no alarms for a change. A bit of downtime wouldn't come amiss. If you have some excess rain over there send it over please. I'm going to have a huge water bill this quarter. We haven't had rain in over 2 months. Things is drying up here.

Woke up with a bit of a headache this morning. Figured that it might be to do with the fact that Miss Puss pushed me off the pillow last night and took possession of it. It is not as if we don't have more than one pillow on the bed. Grrrrr. Now I guess I will have to go and change the pillowcase since she would have let hairy bits all over it and I don't like waking up with them all glued to my face.
Got a fair amount done on the beginning of the new dig yesterday. That is until my neighbours descended on me one by one for a 'chat'. They just want to know what I am doing this time. Well here it is neighbours: -
'I'm digging this out to provide drainage from front to back of the property. It will go around the tree, across"the yard, down the side and into a big sump pit which will filter into the storm water drain. Feel free to pick up a shovel or pick and help. If you aren't inclined to shift a lot of soil, you could dig over this part of the garden and install a watering system for me, or you could just pull up the odd weed or two while you talk'.
Do you think I am asking too much?

Anyway, chatting here won't get it done and I need to go out there before it gets too hot. Our temps are climbing again. Spring may have sprung, but it felt more like summer out there yesterday.

annie175 09-15-2012 08:01 AM

Good Morning Chicklets.....Happy Saturday...

I spoke with Michelle last evening. She is doing better and wanted me to let you all know. She has decided he is not worth it. Too sad, and pray for her daily. She needs our support more than ever.

Shaddie...my goodness woman, you are one busy person. Do you dream up these projects while sleeping? haha....I guess when we come over it will be a "working" vacation..lol.

MELLIE...enjoy the weather and yourself outside today. Sounds wonderful.

ELLEN...are you coming or going?

Hello to all the rest of your Worldlies...safe travels.

Going to a bridal shower at 4 today, me and Sissy. Maybe lil man too. It is a friend of mine who's kids grew up with my kids. Yes, it is out in the sticks...bout an hour drive. Should be fun seeing everyone again.

Sassy and gone to barking lightly then this cute little cry/howl, when she wants in from the yard. Cute now, death later. haha

Have a wonderful weekend all.

Loves, hugs, and prayers to all.
