Hi guys,
Sorry - I came in to post yesterday but got distracted. We had quite the animal parade yesterday. Hummingbirds and butterflies abound. I was working on the computer yesterday afternoon and happened to look out the doors into the yard and there was Mr. Bear sitting under the pine tree looking for food. DH was taking a nap and I had to wake him up. The bear did not want to leave, DH had to fire 2 shots to make enough noise for him to decide to go elsewhere. Then we noticed Mr. Groundhog was back, digging yet another hole under the boat shed to tick off DH. Cute bunny was scrouging around for food too. The pickings are slim here - we haven't been putting food out for a few weeks now and I think the animals are getting desperate. The squirrels and raccoons are getting downright destructive. The night rounded out with a turkey and a deer walking through the yard. DH has the lawn mowed so there isn't even any brush to nibble on. So far they are leaving my garden alone and I hope it stays that way. It did get near freezing the last 2 nights, we had to cover the garden beds with a tarp as well as round up the flowers and herbs and tent those too. I'm hoping that by the end of the week it will stay warm enough at night to stick in the low 50's - well out of frost danger.
The days are just flying by here. I can't believe it. I did do more event entry for the museum but still have about 8 to 10 hours more of work. I did some laundry, cooked dinner, read about 75 pages of the Atticus book (which is due back next Monday) and watched about an hour and a half of TV because I recorded a few shows which I haven't been watching and I don't want the recorder to fill up. And poof, the day was gone. Since the bear is out and about I guess my walking will have to be on the treadmill in the garage since I'm not up for toting a pistol with me just to walk up and down the road. I don't know why that bugger just won't leave already
Laura - glad your knee is feeling better. Hope that annoying cough goes away. Sometimes it's caused from not what you might think. If I take too many Tums I get a tickle in the throat. My Mom was talking about how dry it is out your way. Said the garden dirt has big, deep cracks in it. Not sure how you can easily soften it up to plant - you make a good point for the compost.
Annie - congrats to Curtis for catching some mighty nice fish AND getting a new job

I'm sure this will be a big relief to him. I hope he gets benefits along with the new job - who would have thought these long time established companies would run into trouble? I hear you on the confusion with the new laptop - I have been in I.T. my entire life and each new version of Windows and sometimes the software too gets me confused and mumbling. Especially when they change it so drastically. Hope you figure it out - I see you were able to post pictures again.
Michelle - hope you are feeling better today. Sometimes I think the weather or something plays with the fluid in the ears causing the dizzyness and nausea. No doubt you have been major stressed out and it could be that your body is in a heightened state of sensitivity. It's great that you are focusing on things you can do in order to deal with your situation instead of balling up and getting down on yourself. Still sending good vibes to you -

remember that sometimes we hit the skids before we can realize that good things were just around the corner. How is your DH feeling - I assume he went back to work.
You guys talking about seminars and such - I found a whole boxful of self help stuff I was about to toss. Much of it is old - from the 80's but if anyone wants it - mostly they were things related to management, leading people and team building - back in the day I was building my career and was interested in that stuff. Some of the the books I had from the American Management Association were actually pretty good. I was going to leave them at work but none of the managers were interested in building their management skills so I figured I'd rather throw them out then leave them laying there collecting dust or more than likely tossed in the trash bin the day after I walked out the door.
Ceejay - I used to love chocolate but now I will follow you anywhere if you have a fresh baked loaf of bread under your arm

I can see how you'd be tempted.
Mel - hope you are resting comfortably and that tummy and innards are resting too. Sending you good thoughts all day long my friend
Shad - glad you didn't have a total run of troublesome trainees. At least the weekend is almost upon you. Are you headed home or will you be spending some extended weekends at the camp?
Hellos to Ellen and Patty

I'd better get on with my day.
