Greetings from my cabin in the woods. Now what life is like out there in the daylight I really don't know as I have yet to see it in the daylight. Left here at 6.00am or there about this morning and didn't get back until after 6.pm tonight. Dark and darker.

Happy, hope you are enjoying the family and having a great time with them. Enjoy the good times.

Ceejay - never heard of IHOPS - are they another fast food chain?

Laura - it's so nice to be able to work at home. I always seem to get more done from home even if I don't seem to be at the computer for long lengths of time.

Annie - sounds like you aced that interview. Good stuff. Even if you don't get the job, it sounds like you may have left a lasting impression on the panel.

Patty - good to see you back again. Sounds like your garden is coming along nicely. Good to be working from home as well. Here's a site to look at to see what happens in Pokolbin - apart from Shad in a log cabin that is.
http://www.visitnsw.com/destinations/hunter/hunter-valley/pokolbin/attractions

Mel - haven't got back to the shop yet. Will let you know as soon as I do. So don't go rushing off out of town with any strangers while I get round to spending money - yours.

And that's really about it for today. I'm off to change into jammies and think about tomorrow which may be a very interesting day since I have real mix of trainees from the completely clueless to the don't really want to know.
See ya

Good morning everyone! Sorry I have been MIA over the weekend, I put in 30 hrs in 4 days so it can be tough to fit in computer time. I was reading but just didn’t get a chance to post. And now I have a 3yr old in my way so I will have to post personals later because I can barely reach the keyboard.
As I stated I spent my weekend at work, was really pretty slow until yesterday. We had less than 40 phone calls all day Sunday. My co-worker and I only scheduled 8 appts between us when we typically can set 20. My eating was ok, but needs to get better, yesterday was outright bad. But I will pick myself up, dust myself off and keep moving. The plan is to take a walk a little later into the day.

Have a great day everyone. I will try to comeback and post personals, depends on how clingy DD3 continues to be!

Yes, IHOPs is a resturant chain that specializes in breakfast. Have you got to see the land in the day light yet?

Ellen
I understand about the work on week ends.

Annie
I have a good feeling about your interview. Keeping my fingers crossed that you have it.

Mel
Are you going to get a make over for the apartment? Glad it is quiet where you live.

Laura
Sounds like you had a productive day. You gave me an idea concerning your baskets. I could use a couple to go under my coffee table.

Patty
Your garden sounds great. Wish I could work from home.
-----
Yesterday was a rough day. I reported a leak in the system to the boss yesterday around noon. It was 2.45 p.m. when they finally found it.
They checked all the dead ends, out in the country, but low and behold the main that was broken was in a storm drain. They isolated it and the elevated tank started to refill. I was in panic mode all afternoon. The tank got very low in feet but they didn't have to go on boil order. I kept the pressure up as I had to keep 3 pumps going. Curious now as to how many gallons of water we did pump yesterday.
I was so stressed last night after work that I stopped and ordered a pizza. After I ate it I felt stuffed and bloated. Today I'm eating an whole food diet to help counter act last night's indulgence.

Morning all.

Annie - Congrats on a good interview. You never know, they may want to take a chance on you. Were the other candidates also Humana employees like you? How was the beaker food, lol? Did you come up with a fantastic new combo? I have some leftover rotisserie chicken that will eventually become shredded chicken tacos. We like that so much, we haven't thought to make anything else with it.

Patty - I think everyone is making good progress on their yards and gardens - except me. Just not up for it at the moment, though I did look at a spot by the patio and decided to remove the hosta and plant some colorful annuals there. Actually, it was over 90 degrees both days this past weekend and since I didn't plan to get out early in the morning, it was too hot. Too windy too - would have played havoc w/ my allergies. Excuses, excuses... I'm sure I could come to enjoy working at home, but yesterday I did not. More a matter of the particular project I'm working on right now rather than the actual work location...

Shad - Sorry you're working long hours and can't enjoy your time in the Hunter Valley or your cabin in the woods. Hope the training session went well! Oh, I'll answer for Ceejay - IHOP is a chain restaurant here - International House Of Pancakes. Serves everything but fancy pancakes are their specialty. Haven't been there in ages and ages.

Mel - I could spray paint the baskets, but back in the day my mother used to spray paint everything and I think I developed a mental block for spray paint, LOL. Yes, Container Store is so fun to browse. Like Patty said - good place to get ideas. I don't get their catalogs anymore...never buy much of anything. Wonder if my $10 purchase will get me back on the list.

Ellen - I don't know how you do it all - job, young children. Makes me tired just reading about it. Bad days happen, I overdid the snacks yesterday. But today's another day. We're not going to give up, right??!! Every meal and snack is an opportunity to make a good choice.

Hellos to Michelle & Happy! Hey Java, where are you?? Don't be a stranger now.
--
Nothing much to report. The day finally cleared yesterday, but it was too late to warm up the 3-season room, and it was windy again so I didn't want to open the windows anyway.

I went out only once, just to drop off my eye drop rx's. Bf went to help a friend do some home repairs, so I felt at loose ends for some reason. I watched a bit of tv and did some reading. It then occured to me that I should exercise. I didn't do a BE workout, but I did do some exercises while I watched tv - biceps, triceps, back, quads, glutes, pecs & core. I'm able to do modified/girl pushups more easily now, just have to keep at it. Oh, by the way, for some reason we had put the basket with my dumbbells and resistance bands in the hall closet, so I had to take it out of there. This morning I look in the hall closet and what do I see on the floor???? The missing cheese stick!! Mystery solved!

Tonight bf and I and bf's mom are going to the movie theater near her place. We'll finally see The Avenger! I'm leaving work a wee bit early and taking the train directly to the stop closest to her place (different train line).

Nice and sunny today and it's supposed to be a bit warmer. My train ride was normal (I heard it was empty yesterday. Although there were still protesters hanging around downtown when I watched part of the 9 pm news last night, it seems back to business today.

That's about it for me. Back to the grind.

Good Morning Ladies...

Almost missed a dental appt for cleaning today. Remember as I was getting ready for work then realized if I remember last night I could of slept in for another hour or so....dang it. Oh well.

Last night was uneventful...fixed dinner, did dishes, water veggies and flowers, went to bed. C went fishing while I was watering things, he didn't catch anything and said it was too cold. Funny two months ago when it was 55 it was ok, now that we have had warmer weather 70 is cold. lol

CHELLE...still hangin in there? How is DMIL doing? How is DH feeling? Hope you are taking care of you and your back...any news on the other job site.

SHADDIE....up and gone by dark, home again in the dark...that is the way winter is here. I am always in the dark. lol

PATTY...where abouts are you in Texas?

MELLIE...I don't understand why they wouldn't want your input on the wheelchair. I am pretty sure you know where you need to go and what the hurdles are to get there. Sheesh.

CEEG....See you get stressed and eat pizza....I get stressed and drink wine. Neither are good for us, but I sure do like it. lol

ELLEN...I am surprised you have time to even have a minute in the bathroom much less time on the computer. Try to enjoy your time with kidlets.

Hey to Laura and Happy.....

Gotta get busy..got a quote I need to submit.

Have a marvy Tuesday/Wednesday...

LAURA...too funny about the cheese stick. I bought a packet of pumpkin seeds and could not find them for about a week. Long enough that I had to buy more. THen low and behold I found them in the laundry room behind the wastebasket when I emptied it for trash day tomorrow. Don't ask me how they got there. I am not too excited to see Avengers even tho it is getting great ratings. C would like to see it tho....may wait and rent it so I can do other things around the house if I decide I don't want to watch it.

Have a groovy day, you sneaker inner. Hugs

Ceejay - What a stressful day at work! Sounds like you're in a better place today. Hope today is calmer!!

Annie - Sometimes things end up in odd places accidentally, and other times when I realize I was totally not focused on the task at hand, I worry I did something dumb. I sometimes worry I'll empty a plate into the garbage can and accidentally toss a fork or knife too. One time I put the milk away in the cereal cabinet!!

Annie
How did the dentist appt go? Have you heard from the interview?

Did ride the bike last night also for 15 minutes. Guess I felt guilty on eating that pizza.

OK let me try this again. I have an hour before DS is home from school and DD3 is drinking her milk and watching Martha Speaks on PBS.

Laura~I heard the traffic report yesterday and it was pretty funny. I know we were making special accomodations and trying to limit how much time our plumbers were in the city yesterday. Too funny about the cheese stick. I have opened the fridge nd put the cereal in, and DH once opened the fridge and put the Milk on top then closed the door.

Ceejay~ Wow, what a rough day. Hope today you have started a fresh and just moved pass the pizza from yesterday.

Mel~ 2 new elevators, that’s a lot of work, I hope management see the need before some poor soul gets stuck in it!! Too, bad on the architects, if they would have listened to yu, I bet they could have gotten some great insights!

Shad~Did they fix the TV in your room yet?? As Annie said that is our life in the winter months get up leave in the dark in the morning and go home and it’s dark. Hope the training goes well.

Patty~I don’t know you too well yet, But nice to meet you!!

Happy~Enjoy the family visit!!

Annie~Congrats on the interview!! Glad you aced it!! It is the most amazing feeling knowing that you did well, even if you don’t get the position. And, yes, 2000 calories is still a bit much, but I am easing my way down. I know I can cut right away, but I will totally feel so hungry. I want to be able to stick to it this time, so If I have to have a higher calorie count, and if takes me forever then so be it. I am going to slowly work my calories down between 1200-1800 a day. Also trying to work some exercise in this week, just not sure when.

Michelle~how are you and DH doing? Did the resume writing go well this weekend?

Ok, well, I cannot read a clock, because DS just walked in the door. Taking the girls over to visit their Aunt this afternoon. I Have the replacement Filters for their reverse osmosis system. So we are going to visit while I replace them for her and my brother.

Hello Ladies,

Annie - I live in Rowlett, TX, I am 20 miles east of DALLAS. I saw your post about traveling... I sure hope you didn't travel down here and I missed ya.

Ellen - nice to meet you too. I have know these girls for years but i don't post as often as I should. Sounds like your a busy mom.

Laura - i want to see that movie too. So you commute on a train too. I ride the train here, it's a Rapid Transit System, seats are not comfortable, during rush hour it's crowded and can never find a seat.

Ceejay - Sorry to hear you had a stressful day. I too am an emotional eater. I'm working on it though. Trying to tell myself, eating won't take care of the matter at hand. I hope your having a better day today.

Mel - hope your having a good day. Too bad the architect's didn't want to hear your opinion. You think they would. Always room for improvement.

Shad - I was limited on what I could see from work, kept getting a internet violation. Looks very pretty. I don't know if i had mentioned, one of my sister-in law's best friends children were visiting from Austrilia. One of the boys came to my house for Mother's Day BBQ. I just loved listening to him talk. He's is vacationing for 1 year, seeing the US and Europe. Oh, to be young..

Michellez & Happy - Hope all is well with you.

As for me, I am really trying to watch what I eat and I'm trying to workout daily. It's hard, when I get stressed I want to eat. About 2 weeks ago, I broke up with this guy I was dating, I was determined NOT to gain weight. so far so good. It's very frustrating out in the dating world.

Quickie post for me too! I couldn't sleep last night, did not even fall asleep until after 2:30am and then I moved to the couch and slept in the recliner until 6:11am when DD3 got up and climbed on me.

my mom is watching DD3 so I can go into a meeting at work, then I am going to stick around until my brother comes home and cut his hair. throwing a roast in the slow cooker to be done when I get back. Have a great day ladies!!

Feel better soon.

Patty
There's a saying that goes we can't live with man but can't do with out them. I'm determined to do with out one. It can play havoc on the emotions when you break up. Good for you in not eating emotionally.

----
They let me go vote yesterday in the primary for Arkansas. There wasn't a whole of to vote on And yesterday I got to go to class. I had to miss Monday because of the leak. We should be finished tonight. We'll be going over the test answers.
Can't wait till Friday. My sister and bil are coming down for their high school reunion. Think I'lm going to suggest we stay with my aunt and uncle. She volunteered Sunday. It would be easier on them not having to drive back and forth.
