I watched a Uvid on it last night from The Nashville Foot and Ankle Specialist. We have a Mid-South Foot and Ankle Specialist in the city (which is who I intend to call for an appointment). The procedure looked pretty simple, but the Lidocaine injection looked pretty painful. My ER nursing school friend/co-worker/running mate suggested I go ASAP. For some reason, I always think she is smarter than me! |

I don't think I will measure this month, I had such good losses in measurements last month, I think this would be a downer. You will see it on the scale next, that's how it progresses for me. |

Krystal I had one removed. The injection wasn't too bad, my issue was the healing time. Open toed shoes and such - I was working in a place, at the time, that didn't allow that, so missed a couple days of work. It does feel a TON better once healed though!
Sum - I sooo think you should do that this fall. How awesome would it be to be doing what you love???? Sorry to quote Nike... but... JUST DO IT! :P |
Oh!!!
Sum - great job on those inches down too! That's huge!!!! Jo - I hope the scale shows you some progress real soon :) I don't think mine ever wants to move its numbers for me again, lol |

Okay....off my chair and on to my walk. No excuses Tuesday as Krystal would say. So Ta-Ta for now and see you 50 burned fat grams later. :D
|
Krystal just imagine a slight accent on my posts! :D if you will meet me IRL, you will always read my posts with a slight accent...lol

I'm telling you....I'd rather be in pain from the weights than from this toe!! |
Well joy! I can't have it removed until tomorrow at 11am. :stress:
Another day of lying around with my foot propped up....not how I had planned to spend the week before the race! Of course, at this rate...I will not be running  |
This is going to be a rant
I HATE vanity sizing! Hate it! Why are the designers catering towards obesity? I was shopping at Costco and I saw these cute dresses. I decided to get one. I almost bought size 10 but decided to get size 8 because my "real" 10's are starting to get looser. So I brought the dress home and tried it on; I was swimming in it!! I went an exchanged it to a 6 and it is still big! I need a 4... FOUR! In which universe a woman who is 7 pounds over weight wears a size 4??? My regular store does not use vanity sizing, well only their jeans run big. I get everything in size 10 there except their jeans (I need to get 8's). I hope the god that they don't change their sizing! On a positive note. The dress looks awesome on me :D I placed a wide belt on high waist and peek-a-boo sky high heels and I looked smoking hot :dizzy: I am having a lot of NSV's....I guess it is helping me to get out of my funk. Jo I was thinking about my lack of mojo during my walk. I am loathing all the counting and recording. I am taking a break from it. I have no problem doing FAST5 etc. I think I will concentrate on just eating window, because I am simply sick of all that logging. It is pretty hard to over eat during 5 hour eating window. I will also keep my twice per week 22-24 fasts. As I mentioned this morning, my tummy is slimming down. I think it is all that green tea I drink. I brew a pot in the morning and I drink it hot at first and iced later. I use decaf tea. Green tea is supposed to melt tummy fat and after 6 weeks of large consumption of it, my tummy is going down. :dunno: maybe it is not true, but hey if it is helping, I am not complaining  I am really trying to focus on positive ( except my clothing rant :lol3:) I put some sun-in for my hair before my walk and placed whitening strips on my teeth...next time one may see me there with my rollers in my hair.....hehe....so after my walk my hair was sun kissed and smile was brighter. I may be tired of this journey, I may be upset of the curve ball life threw at me, I may have another hellish PMS month, but I WILL try my best to stay on path and stay positive. |
Krystal I hope it will get taken care of tomorrow. You have done so much training, it would be heart breaking if you could not run! Maybe a little break will actually help you! Gives your body rest and you will be even stronger next week
|
oh krystal i hope your toe will be okay, removed or not :( my teenager struggled with horrible ingrown toenails on both big toes for years as a child and we finally ended up having both big toenails permanently removed and killed so they wont grow back...he's SO much happier now...his surgeries went fine and his recovery was quick also
ive been busy today, which i like...took the kids to school, went to the bank, recycling center, store and gas station...cleaned the kitchen, made some business calls, and then went to the gym for an hour of incline walking now i have to get cleaned up and go to work....tonight is dinner and raking up the back yard...and i saw someone using the CUTEST rototiller to prep for planting grass seed...i SO need one of those!! also one of my "second children" is coming to live with us for awhile...he says it's a week, we all know it will be longer...he's a kid (okay 18 year old now) who has called me his "second mommy" for years, since he was little...and his whole family left town and he is homeless so we said he could stay with us for awhile... |
Krystal - I am so sorry you are stuck on your tuccus another day. I sure hope that they get that toe taken care of for you tomorrow!!! I also hope the healing happens quickly enough that you can participate in what you have trained so very hard for!
Sum - Regardless of the number on the tag, I am glad you found a dress you look smoking hot in...though I imagine that couldn't be too tough of a task to find ;) I don't blame you on the food logging... other than watching my fats, I have not logged during week, just weekends (cause I change it up a bit) - that is something that burns me out. Alaskan - That is so nice of you and your DH to take in the kid. Sounds like a productive day for you too! |
Thanks ladies for all the  and kind words! It really means alot to me :)
However, HOW MANY MOVIES CAN ONE WATCH IN A DAY??? #bored.to.tears!! |
Quote:
No one is buying your "rant" claim. BRAT! |
Krystal - Wouldn't it be "rough" to have the problem of having to "tolerate" wearing a size 4???? I wish I had problems like that, Soooo... how many movies CAN you watch in a day? Anything good on tv?
|
Seriously!?!
A 4???? Waaa Waaa Waaa  Anyone know of a fast remedy for poison ivy? My youngest has it on his ankles and is going on a school trip to DC next week. I am hoping to have it mostly dried out by then. So far, we have just done the caladryl thing, but after he showers I am going to use either alcohol or hydrogen peroxide or apple cider vinegar (google remedies) and then going to slather with aloe plant. Also going to give him a good dose of vit c, multi, and allergy tab. Anyone have anything else? |
JO: Here's a poison ivy remedy DH swears by: "Grandma's Lye Soap" He purchases it at a local hardware shop in the city. I'm sure you could find some in your area. Lather it on the infected area and allow it to dry on the skin--DO NOT RINSE!
|
Yup, now I am size 4 :smoking: :lol3:
I felt like a total :moo: tonight. We took our first self defense class...mirrors everywhere. -- There was this lady about my age who was probably 10 pounds lighter but carried her weight on her butt and thighs and she looked so pretty with her tiny waist and curvy hips. I looked like a barrel with skinny legs next to her, actually like Sponge Bob! I am no apple, I am Sponge Bob! I really need to start core training, otherwise I am always going to look funny. |
Jo oh poor baby! I hope he will better soon!!!!

I hope you had fun despite the mirrors! How did DD like it? |
Sum - I am betting you are being your own worst critic and looked awesome ;)
Jo - Sorry, I am no help with poison ivy |
Morning :sunny:
I wore a yellow shirt last night, so I was dressed for my Sponge Bob part!! Hehe! But that will be my new way of describing my bodytype. :D The class was good. He talked about how to scan your surroundings etc, the second half was more physical. DD liked it. She did karate some years back and now she says she misses it and once to start it again. I was impressed by her kicks. I think every young woman should take a class like that. Hey Jo, did you take a shot of that hydrogen peroxide? -- Remember when that lady told me about it and giving us extra boost? I hope your DS gets more comfortable soon. What did he do? Just boy stuff through woods? I am fasting till 1 pm today. I did well yesterday. I think I was done eating around 5 pm. My eating window was between noon and 5 pm. I am feeling much better now that I gave myself permission to take a calorie counting break. -- I will still log in my exercise. Yes Ma'am Krystal! This is my second week of doing upper body toning. I am on a cleaning kind of mood. I cleaned the office yesterday. Now that taxes are done, I was able to file last year away. Today I will tackle our master bathroom. I am overdue to go through all drawers and cabinets. Keeping myself busy! Krystal Good luck today!! Star! |

Need a Job?? Mine could be next! (How could I resist NOT saying that?) |
ok, so I had a dream last night that the podiatrist came to my house and did this little toe operation in my bed! I asked him to do it as cost effectively as possible, b/c DH has been such a slacker with our insurance--basically, we have none! {{GREAT}}
So, as Dr. A was leaving, he said, "the best I can do is 1906." I said, "Nineteen Hundred and Six Dollars!!!" :yikes: He replied, "No, Nineteen Dollars and six cents." This had to be a dream, right?? What Dr makes housecalls to remove toenails--and if they did, please don't stop at my house!!! My mom is coming down to take me--so sweet of her!! I didn't know if I'd be able to drive or not. I was supposed to work tomorrow night, but that is defo OUT! I can't put a real shoe on for 2 days--at least. I feel like I am doing something wrong by "calling in" to work, b/c I feel fine, just my toe doesn't feel fine & I know there is no way I can make it 13 hrs on my feet tomorrow. I've only called in 1 time in the 8 yrs I've been at my job and it was b/c I wasn't in the city. I was literally 6 hours from home. Any other time, people call in like mad, but my manager and I don't mesh well. Basically b/c I'm not her bish & won't allow them to treat me like a robot! Food/weight wise: I've GOT to get out of this house! Yesterday I ate over 2K cals worth of food!! WHY?? Boredom! Sheer boredom. Snacks--not really junky food, well if you consider popcorn and 3 small squares of chocolate "junk"--ok I did. But, the rest of it was PB and apples, yogurt & cottage cheese--stuff like this. Healthy food, just too much of it!! And all I did was watch movies and do laundry--YUCK!! I hate tv! :exercise: I miss my workouts. :wl: I miss lifting. :running: I miss running. |
Surgery went well :)
No complications so far. It is still numb, so I feel nothing. The procedure I had done was identical to the one seen here in the Nashville YouTube vid! I only felt 2 stings, which were not bad at all. I didn't even feel when he initiated the needlestick, only the med when it was infusing :D :carrot: |
so glad you had it taken care of and that it doesnt hurt for now :) hope the recovery is easy and painless
i spent an hour last night raking up the back yard with my teenager and we got it all done...still debating planting grass seed...people in the "know" here say to do a moss killer first although others say not to...and then fertilize with lime and then spray grass seed...they say not to till it up but the ground is so hard that i DO think i need to break it up a little bit..and they said no weed killer at the moment also need to haul several large containers of dirt....that should be fun LOL *sarcasm* but i'm enjoying trying these new hobbies of mine another morning here of running errands and going to the gym...another morning of a 5K walking on high incline at various fast speeds (fast for me anyhow)... its 54 here today and sunny, which means its WARM for alaska LOL |
I am so happy to hear that all went well Krystal!
I sponged off my master bath, master bedroom and hall incl. closet :) I guess I am happy to be a sponge bob instead of an apple...making progress  maybe the hourglass is just around the corner! |

Krystal, glad all is well with you and your toe :D Glad it wasn't painful!!!
So I made the best of the day I could today. I gleaned a lot from everyone's posts yesterday: Sum was making the most of her situation and staying super positive, Krystal had to sit on her butt when all she really wanted was to workout, Alaskan and Star were getting a lot done, soooooo I had a very productive day today, thinking about all of you! I did my 70 min. walk and then got on the treadmill for a 3 mile run and THEN, I even did about 5 minutes of rowing!!! The rowing doesn't sound like much, but my arms were on fire, and I had to take about half the weight off from before I hurt my tailbone-boo hoo. Going to have to work back up with that. On a good note, it did not bother my tailbone, yay! Will have to try biking next to see how that feels. Then I did laundry, vacuuming, cooking (stuffed mushrooms, cheesy broccoli soup, salad dressing, greek yogurt, frozen yogurt), ran a couple errands and am just now sitting down, phew! So thank you to all of you for motivating me to be the best me I could be today! I am going to try to get in double workouts the rest of this week, meaning doing at least 2 things like a walk and run or walk and elliptical or run and rowing, etc. Gotta get the scale moving again!!! And my attitude is so much better with exercise. Pending TOM can kiss it. :chockiss: |

Jo proud of you  we are in this together :)

Bikinis expose 90% of the woman's body, but men are classy enough to look at only 10% that is covered!
