Morning all,
And it is still morning despite the fact that I have been here for 6 hours already but at least it has been productive hours.

No time for personals at the moment, but I am reading it and am glad to see Annie back and everyone picking up a bit from a bad health month.

April might have to be an Attitude and Aptitude and no Ailments month. I had another 'tude word in mind but for the life of me can't think of it right now. Of all the things I have loved and lost, I miss my brain the most.

Okay back to swinging the whip over this darn testing. It just doesn't want to go away and even tho I haven't been doing much of it, it seems to have become my responsibility.

Morning
I'm at work and thought I'd check in before I got to busy.

Shad
I like the new thread title. I'm kickcing my ailments to the curb this month.

Good TUesday Morning.....

Had a customer come through the line over the weekend at CVS...her last name was Wrinklepleck....so that is my new word...for example...I am freezing my wrinklepleck off....bahahahaha...that word just make me laugh :)

Chelle....so glad that DH is jumping in there and helping with the cleaning...he is such a good guy, it doesn't surprise me. Give him a big hug and smootch from me and tell him thanks for helping our Chelle out!! ;)

Ceejay....so nice to be missed....sadly it takes a few days off for them to realize how valuable you are...good for you sista.

Happy...cracked me up about me having good boobs. Yeah these 36 C LONGS didn't let me down. Actually I am happy about the good turn out as my momma was a breast cancer survivor (mastsectomy). She was a 18 year survivor.

Shaddie.....Too much work, not enough personal time...tell them the Worldlies need you..lol...well better not, they might want you to write a document on that.

Ellen...glad the kidlets are getting better as the days go by. It is as hard on momma and the child. Breaks our hearts, it does.

MELLIE...tell Richie to get that puter all working and done...I so much enjoy your posts and miss you my sweet (onery as I) sister. hehe %)

Laura...how are things in Chicago? Getting warmer like here I hope.

My head is clearing out some...each day brings just a bit better feeling. Pretty clogged up when I first get up but then after the day goes on it gets better, until evening when it starts clogging up again.

Spent most of the evening last night at Sissy's house...she cut and colored my hair. I made dinner..Beef Stroking Off...hahaha..salad and bread. We also went through a pitcher of strawberry margaritas with the neighbor. We put fresh strawberries in it, very tasty....held mine to a two maximum. Chris, sissy's boyf, went over to the neighbor's house as it was too much "girl" stuff going on for him...He came home to eat dinner and have a Rita.

Gotta work tonight...oh boy...just can't wait. Happy will you please get your new retirement commune open for us Worldlies...I am ready....lol

Gotta get busy...the Michigan bosses are here today doing interviews for the positions that people left SINCE the lay off this past July.

Lots of Love and Huggles...

Laura705 03-29-2011 09:28 AM

Morning all. Quick check in from the train. Hit a few resale shops yesterday and ended up buying 5 framed art prints. Finally getting the walls decorated after 11 years in the house, lol.

I'll have to catch on personals later.

TTFN!!

happy2bme 03-29-2011 09:28 AM

Good morning chicks,

Had to get a very early start out the door to take the car in for a checkup. I wonder if they squeeze its "headlights"

Will have to get on at lunch to catch up.

Annie - your Wrinklepleck is my Fegley. Some names are just fun to say :D

Later kids...

diyana 03-29-2011 09:45 AM

Happy Tuesday ladies -

My back doctor appointment went well. We discussed how I'm experiencing a setback due to being laid up with the bronchitis and not being able to do my PT exercises. And we discussed the new soreness I've been feeling in my mid-back and how that could be residual effects from all the coughing tweaking my mid-back and rib cage muscles. He prescribed a new non-narcotic pain med, which I'll pick up tonight and start trying tomorrow. He also said that I should continue the PT to regain my flexibility and strength so that hopefully I'll get to where I can stand and walk and maybe even bend without pain. And if need be, we can repeat the radio frequency ablation procedure as soon as June or July.

Mischief's vet appointment went well also. They tested her red blood cell count first thing when we brought her in yesterday morning, and it was still dangerously high, but hadn't increased since we took her home on Friday, which the vet saw as a big positive. During the day, they took out 1/2 cup of blood and replaced it with saline. And by the end of the day, her red blood cell count was 68, which is still a little high, but not dangerously high. Mischief goes back to the vet on Friday, and if her red blood cell count is under 70, then the vet won't take any blood and just let the medicine Mischief is on (to inhibit red blood cell production) do it's thing. The good news about this condition is that once her red blood cells are below the dangerous levels, and once her medication is properly balanced/stable, she'll be able to live a long, normal, healthy life. :)

Ellen - It's good that your son and DD1 got outside to play. And congrats on the new bikes for DD1 and DD2. I'm glad to hear that DD2 is doing well. I hope you can get some rest eventually. You definitely have your hands full and don't need sleep deprivation on top of everything else.

Shad - I love the new thread title. The only 'tude words I might add are "fortitude" or "gratitude", but they don't begin with an "A". At work for 6 hours and it's still morning? Sounds like a helluva long day. I usually start work by 5:45, so 6 hours in, it's still morning for me too. But at least I get to leave by 3:30. :) Bummer that the testing has now become your responsibility. Crack that whip, my friend.

Ceejay - I'm glad to hear you're kicking your ailments to the curb. Me too! Enough already!

Annie - I cracked up at "Wrinklepleck"! Hello, doctor? Would botox make my face less wrinkleplecked? I would look a lot younger if it wasn't for all these darn Wrinkleplecks! I've had my boobs checked every year since I turned 33 (which was the year my older sister was diagnosed with breast cancer - she was 41 at the time). She's a 15 year survivor (so far). :) I'm so glad to hear you're feeling better and that you had a nice evening with your DD. I cracked up at the dinner menu. The Ritas sound so yummy!! Stay busy and productive today while the Michigan bosses are around...but don't work too hard tonight.

Yep, DH is a good guy. I'm really lucky! Last night, he said that he wants me to really focus on healthy eating and counting calories...which I am doing...because he said it breaks his heart when he sees me eat unhealthy, especially now that I can't really exercise. He's really worried that because I'm so heavy, I've cut my life short. I told him that I can't go back and change the past, but I'm really eating more healthy now, and I'm doing my PT exercises and I will increase my exercising just as soon as I am able.

Laura - I love resale shops! Good for you on finding so many nice framed art prints!! :)

Happy - Fegley, huh? That's another funny name.

Gotta go prep for a meeting!

Love and hugs,

upswife 03-29-2011 11:21 AM

Good Morning ladies!

I am feeling pretty good today, only got up with DD2 twice last night and once was just me hearing things. LOL Still waiting on her "pee" to go back to normal. I told her today she needs to drink about 10 glasses of water...she has been right around 8 and I just want this cath out...and I KNOW she does too.

DH is at the dentist, tho he could not remember what time his appt was last night and the office was already closed so he went in for a 8:30 appt and found out that it is not until 10:15. DD3 has her fist cleaning sched for tomorrow morning at 9:15. Hope everything goes well. DD2 and I will be going for her Birthday manicure once DH gets home. Other than that it is same old same old.

Mel~~That is great that the Cable company will be out on Wednesday, but a big bummer that you will not be back on until after it is all connected. I love your posts they are always so up beat and happy!!

Michelle~~So sorry about your back, hopefully the PT exercises will continue to help. Hope you , DH and DMIL have fun at the reptile show! Good to hear that Mischief is doing a little better. Hope the meds do what they are supposed to and that th epuppy does not need to have any more blood drained.

Happy~~"squeeze it's headlights" LOL that is so funny!! Hope the car does not need extensive repairs. Hows the packing going...when are you guys leaving to head up north??

Laura~~Good for you finally decorating the house. I have been in mine for 8yrs and we still are not decorated...I am so uncreative when it comes to that...I have too many kidlets running around to have knick knacks all around. plain walls and minimal stuff...thats my style!

Annie~~Sorry to hear that you think you are sick because of all the smoke. IL banned all indoor smoking and even as a smoker it is great...I hated all the smoke hanging around! Strawberry rita's sound great and I hope you enjoyed the time with your sis!

cee jay~~hope your not too busy at work!

Shad~~DH has days like that when he has been there for 6 hrs and it is still morning. Thankfully I don't. Just have the kiddies to worry about. Hope the testing gets done quickly...don't you hate when someone throws their work on your plate just because!!

Well, the kidlets are "cleaning" and I should go and supervise. I told them that no one gets to play today until my front room and Kitchen are both cleaned up...will have to have them do thier rooms tomorrow and start to tackle Mt Washmore...such is life, never ending laundry!!

annie175 03-29-2011 01:45 PM

Just got back from our Sales Team Lunch meeting at Cheesecake Factory...I had baked BBQd Salmon, succatash, salad and iced tea. Was so yummy.....

Ellen...Hope DD2 drinks enough to get the cath out. Those things are more annoying than anything. I love manicures...starting her a little early..now she will want one all the time....

Chelle...I am so glad your DH is concerned for your healthy eating, exercising and getting the weight off. That is so sweet...it also means he wants you around for a LONG time. Now you have another reason to do this...yourself mostly, then DH and cannot forget your 4-legged friends. Glad to hear Mischief is doing better and ~maybe~ getting under control.

Happy....I have a wrinklepleck on my fegley...I used to work in design engineering at RCA/GE/Thomson...with a guy named Kumar Ramaswamy, ba hahaha, that one cracks me up also....

Laura....I have been in my house for 4 years and finally put a huge picture on the one bare wall in the living room that holds like 22-4x6 pixs, and last night one side let go and swung down toward the floor. Liked to scared the P outta me, and Hella B ran into the living room barking her arse off at it. Too funny. Will have to get it back up on the wall tomorrow night, haveta work tonight.

Gotta go chicklets...have a 2pm meeting that I am dreading....

Later girls....

Laura705 03-29-2011 02:56 PM

Good afternoon all. Not my most productive day. I’ve got paralysis going w/ regard to a major project. And the bad part is that the boss doesn’t think it’s that major. We’re so opposite, she just figures out the next step, does it, and moves on. Me, I freak over the enormity and take forever just to get going. That’s where I can learn from her.

Shad – Hmmm, can’t think of another “tude” words that starts w/ an “a”. It’ll be a great title regardless, course I like Annie’s title too. Sorry you’re still doing testing….

Michelle – Sorry the back is giving you such pain again. Glad the doc is giving you something for the pain. Know you’re busy getting ready for dmil’s arrival, but just wish you could take it easy. Life is just getting in the way! Wish it was as simple as not having anything to focus on except the eating/weight loss – but so glad DH is so concerning and supportive of you. What a guy. Glad Mischief’s red blood count is showing improvement, and I hope she’s stable and good to go with that med very soon.

Ellen – Glad to hear dd is doing well. Hope she’s off the catheter soon. A b-day manicure sounds great! LOL about dh going to the dentist too early. :D I don’t care too much for knick-knacks either – having to dust around/under them is a PITA! Besides, sometimes doggie’s tail sends stuff flying!

Annie – No, it’s NOT getting warm in Chicago. We’ve been having temps in the 30’s and then brisk winds making it feel even colder!! :tantrum: Hope the 40’s later this week will feel better. Mmmm, Cheesecake Factory – they have a salad there that I love…course it’s not a light and healthy salad, but yummm. Glad that our CF is at the mall and always busy – we rarely go there because there’s always a wait! Wrinklepleck, hee hee. Bf and thought one of the names on the mailbox in the condo complex we used to live in was hilarious. No way I could spell it, and I’m sure we just made up the funny pronunciation. I stole a word off the keyboard that’s my equivalent of a dolt or dufus – “numlock”. Okay my dear, don’t wear yourself down at your jobs today – you don’t want to have a relapse.

Mel – Happy to hear you’ll soon have your speedy internet hookup!!! Enjoy and see you back here soon! Sorry John’s meds are giving him problems, but I had to laugh when you called the meds “lizard serum”. :D

Happy – Glad you got the job verification thing sorted out! Now for the check amount... Sorry the new med is causing probs. :(

Hi Ceejay – Glad you’re kicking the infection!! Nice to know your bosses missed you, isn't it??!!

Oops, almost 2 pm, have a meeting to get ready for. With the auditor. So Annie, I’m dreading it too...

Shad 03-29-2011 04:53 PM

Wrinklepleck, Flegley and numlock - yep well I guess we all have a name or two that we find strangely hilarious. Mine was Nuki Snodgrass and yes she was a real (?) person. I used to have to deal with her when I was working for a knitting yarn (Feltex) place and she supplied specialty type yarns from her flock of overly pampered special sheep. Heck she went to a Yarn expo once and I met her there - she had dyed her special sheep to be walking rainbows. Ye gods
So wrinklepleck, fegley, numlock, snodgrass and we had a person of eastern extraction whose name I can not pronounce or spell - we refered to him as Ramset Fastener.
Anyway, here I am again at work and again it is now 6.43am. The Solar Water Heater is in and running. Must admit I was a bit worried yesterday as the water wasn't very hot. DS2 likes a hot shower, must have been torture for him. However this morning it is almost at normal temps. I say normal because apparently we had the temp on the old hot water tank 10 degrees higher than the current specification. Now we are subjected to the law. It seems that the temp now set will allow people to turn on the hot water tap and stick their hand/ head/ foot (strike out that which is not applicable) underneath it and can get it away before deep burn sets in. Well hello! ever thought that HOT water might burn - and aren't you supposed to keep an eye on the children playing with water in the bathroom? Besides which - if you leave the hose lying loose around the yard and it is full of water, what do you think the effect of the sun might be on that water??? Children, in my experience anyway are more likely to play with the hose than get cleaned up in the bathroom. But there again, one must respect stupidity and those that simply don't think or don't care! :soap:

I think the word I was thinking of was Altitude - as in flying high. Anyway, we will see what happens when 1st April rolls around - which is I think Friday. Meantime I had better get to and create some more info and think up some more bullsh*t and find some more pictures

Shad 03-29-2011 04:56 PM

Was just thinking that I hadn't heard from Worldly Fatchick for a while, but I remember there was a newsletter a month or so back which I haven't yet read and haven't passed on.

It must be about time for them to remind me to re donate too.

upswife 03-29-2011 07:01 PM

Just talked to DD2's doctor and even tho her Urine is not quite back to normal it has beeen a week since the surgery so he said we can get it out. Sched for tomorrow at 10:30 we do have to drive all the way in to Childrens hospital in Chicago, but it will be so worth it. May not have time to post tomorrow morning, but wanted to let everyone know. Have a wonderful Hump day!!

happy2bme 03-29-2011 07:28 PM

My sister worked with a guy named Hajeet. He called her Sandy-girl and every time someone said his name out loud she said "Bless You" because it sounded like a sneeze.

happy2bme 03-29-2011 07:31 PM

I had a resume for a guy named Ofer Gal. I said I could not hire this guy because then I would not have been able to say "oh fer Pete's sake PEOPLE" or "oh fer cryin' out loud". I would have to go back to swearing instead and I'm sure they would not have liked that. So poor guy never knew he didn't have a chance - I was glad he was horribly ill-qualified anyway.

annie175 03-30-2011 08:23 AM

Hump Day...yeah~

Work was quite interesting....the girl that didn't show up over the weekend was working...she brought her hospital papers from spending time there with her DD (3 yrs old), so CVS gave her another chance at it....still...I very CLEARLY told her in a POLITE way, that next time, please have someone, even if a stranger on the street, a family member or go to the nurse's station and CALL for Pete's sake. I also told her I had to work by myself ALL weekend all the while being very sick with fever on one of the days....I think maybe she got the message. I said it all in a kind, loving manner altho I wanted to throw a fit and curse....hahahhaa.....where the heck is MELLIE when I need her. haha

Shaddie...names are a funny thing...I went to high school with a girl named Diane FECKER, yup, and believe me, she got all kinds of harrassment over that one. At work at 6:43 am...kind of early aren't you...do you get to make the coffee?

Laura...I think we are all built differently and handle stress differently to keep the world interesting. I usually just take the entire situation in for a day or so, then a solution usually comes to me without even trying....it took me a long time to learn to do that...maybe...give it to GOD and let the answer come to me.....however I do believe HE forgets I am blonde and don't get it right off the bat..lol Our temps are finally going to make it to the 60s by the weekend. I will take 50s and 60s over this freezing mess anyday. Even 40s feel like a heatwave.

Ellen...glad to hear the DD gets her cath out today. VICTORY!! She will be good as new before you know it. Hugs and prayers to you all today for a speedy procedure with no complications.

Happy...I love that...Hajeet...God bless you...that is the best one yet. Have you decided where you are putting all of us Worldlies at your retirement commune? lol

Chelle..hope you are getting along ok and your back has made tremendous improvements. I am SURE DH is more than taking care of you and doing the extra work around the house...

Ceejay...good morning chicklet..hope your day is going well and the boss is still appreciating you, AS HE SHOULD.

MELLIE....get that puter hooked up...it has only been one day and I am missing you already.

Forgot my cell phone at home today....as much as I will miss it...it will also be a nice break from life, work, etc.

I got me the AS SEEN ON TV...WonderFILE last night at CVS. It helps keep your bills etc organized, that is if you use it correctly...believe it or not I am kind of excited to have it.

Not much else going on here....kind of a drabby gray morning but supposed to turn sunny by evening....

Have a great day all and don't forget to take your trash out...lol

Much love and many hugs,
