Sassy~ I want some of those! Tommy got mad the first time he saw a commercial for them because we were talking one night with friends and he had mentioned that someone should come up with those.....and then he went on to say that he would do it.....and here someone else did and he is kicking himself in the butt!

Cristina~ Feel better!

Katy~ Welcome back!!! I have been working out every day since Sunday....I just need to step it up and start tracking my food somewhere!

Another good day for Mom. She is slowly making it back...still sore at the incision site, but that will be gone soon.

I am fighting sinus/cold or whatever it is. But so far don't feel too bad. I hear of how bad everyone is feeling and hope mine doesn't turn in to something worse. Just popping my meds. and hoping for the best.

Broiling fish for the troops tonight but don't know what I will fix with it. I don't eat fish, so I am looking forward to another nice salad. Tomorrow I am making homemade chicken noodles soup. (Heavy on veggies)

Daughter cams by this morning to visit.. she had Mason with her. He is so darn sweet. He is saying a few more words so soon we won't be able to keep him quiet.

Hubby and I are not doing anything for our WA today. May get away for a day next week. Going shopping for a new stove and a ring. Yay!

I thought those pj jeans looked cute and comfy..but I wouldn't wear them. And jeggings I thought the same...not for me, but cute. HEY>>NEWS flash..I am 62 so what the heck do I know??

Hello

Quickie from me for now, I will be back later to post more. Slept in, then bought groceries and headed to the show...saw Black Swan and wished I would have seen something else. Like I told daughter...it wasn't bad and on a scale of 1-10 I would give it a 7...thinking it was just Natalie Portman. She did well but I still see her in that one movie, shoot, can't think of the name of it-call it the tornado movie, lol. Anyway...then off to Target to get a few things and I feel so pooped. I know it's this cold bringing me down. Anyway...I'll be back later. Ciao

Sue-Happy Anniversary!! You have alot on your plate. Hope the fish broiling goes well!!

Cristina--Teri said we should have went to see Angelina and Johnny Depp instead...keeps joking that I made her watch soft lesbian porn...the movie was good, definitely one that made you walk out thinking wth. We thought the previews for the Natalie Portman/Ashton Kutcher one looks like something we would like.

Mindee--your family definitely keeps you hopping!!

Katy--glad there weren't too many snotty kids...lol

Sassy--get to go back to Chuck E Cheese tomorrow for the actual bday party!! woo hoo!

Kathy & Susan--hope all is well!

Dommy didnt want to stay tonight...kind of made me sad.

doing my daily pop in to see how everyone is doing!

we took Logan to get his stitches out today.....he took it like a trooper! But the doctor is worried that it was red when he took them out. So, we have to watch it carefully and if it swells, the red spreads, or it starts to ooze.....then we have to take him in immediately! as it is right now......he has butterfly band-aids on it because the steri-strips that the doctor put on lasted all of about three hours! and that was even after the doctor put the liquid glue on it to keep them on! the bottom part of his cut, where the webbing is on your fingers, still has a hole in it because the doctor in the ER wouldn't put a stitch in that part because "it will heal and close on it's own" according to the ER doctor.

hmmmmm........what else? nothing really actually.......

Oh yeah.....Tommy is working tonight and will be on 10 hour shifts next week....

The first movie I saw with Natalie Portman in it was "Where the Heart Is" where she ends up having her baby in the Walmart store because she gets locked in the store.

Hello Chickies, again

MINDEE...that is the movie, lmao! I've seen it a zillion times and read/have the book but for the life of me couldn't think of the name! Guess I remember the tornado seen the most. So what happened to Logan's finger, saw the cut on FB and that looked bad, poor little guy.

JULES...Yeah, it wasn't bad at all. So how's the grandbabies doing today? Oh wait, you just have Ashton??? I missed baby today but it was nice having a baby free day. Besides, I will see her tomorrow for family dinner and at Cambrie's basketball game. Won't go to Chase's since his is early and I have things I need to get done.

SUE...a very HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to you and the hubby! Glad to hear your mother is improving!

KATY...glad your first week back at school went well. I never did make it back to the Lose It site...can barely keep up with this, FB and emails.

SASSY...how goes it? I have not seen those pj jeans, goofy idea but hey, to each his own. Someone mentioned jeggings and I do have some and love them to wear with my boots but not as pj's. And thank you, I am feeling better, just have a runny nose now, ugh.

FRANCIE...glad to see you back and glad you guys had an awesome time in Vegas! Would love to ring in the New Year in Vegas...lucky girl! Have fun at Ikea, love that store!

HIYA KATHY and SUSAN...hoping all is well with you ladies!

As I said earlier went to the movie with daughter after I bought groceries. After the movie went to Target and found some great deals for Lily. I like to keep some clothes over here in case she has an accident and so Charlotte doesn't have to worry about sending a diaper bag. Got her 2 pair of pj's (going to go back tomorrow and get 3 more of a bigger size. Got some socks and a cute little outift...hoodie with pants and a onesie, too cute! A couple of little spill proof bowls for her snacks and a sippie cup with a straw...she's been drinking from a straw for a while now and anytime someone has a cup with a straw she wants it! Anyway...spending money I don't have to spend, lol. I did manage to sleep in today and it felt good!

Tomorrow plans are to get stuff together for deli sandwiches for dinner before heading to Cambrie's basketball game at 3 (tired of cooking). Should be fun...a bunch of 6-year-olds playing B-ball...not sure if it is an all girls team.

Eating this week had been H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E! As has the exercise...absolutely no exercise at all...lazy arse! Oh, I did get 2, (actually 3 because there was 2 in one) WATP dvd's. Thinking that is what I will be doing until it warms up. Don't think I reported my WI Monday...it was the same, 193.4 or was it 193.8, ugh, I wrote it down. Not going to make my Valentine goal this way.

Hoping you all have a wonderful weekend!

about to head to bed but was checking my email one last time.....

Cristina~ Logan was trying to be a nice big brother and open up one of Marissa's Christmas present for her. He was trying to get the toy out of the package, and was having trouble. So, he went and got a butter knife out of the drawer. (this butter knife, came from a picnic basket that we had gotten, so it was a little sharper) And he started to use it to open up the box......we believe that he was using a sawing motion with the way that it was cut........and then we heard him screaming......dripping blood on the carpet as he was running to the bathroom where we were at.

Good Saturday morning!

I finally got in a good 8 hours of sleep, feeling good too! What I mean by a good 8 hours is I did not get up once during the night. Actually feeling rested. So thought I better get started on things...peas & carrots cooking for some mac salad and potatoes for potato salad. Not making a bunch of food. Then I'm just baking cookies for dessert and calling it good...well, I have some fruit as well.

As far as exercise, I am going to do 15 minutes of a dvd and then 15 minutes later. I am not in the mood for exercise but I will do something. If I break it up I won't be so bored. It's 24 out and I am not venturing out in the cold to walk...only supposed to be 34 for the high and that after 50 something yesterday! Supposed to snow tomorrow into Monday (we'll see). I need to get back on top of this exercising...don't know what happened. Oh wait, yes I do, I AM LAZY!

MINDEE...OUCH! Hope it is healing and Logan isn't feeling any pain. My thumb where I sliced it open cooking Christmas Dinner is healed on the outside but when I use the thumb, put pressure on it I can feel the hurt down deep...feels like it was bruised or something. It was nothing like that though. Enjoy your snow!

HELLO to everyone I better go check the peas & carrots, I can smell them cooking, stinky! Have a good day!

Geez..you ladies sure write a lot, lol!!

Cristina~Sorry you didn't really like The Black Swan. I still thought it was amazing. I don't care much for Natalie Portman though. Although..I just realized I own several of her movies, so go figure, LOL!! I LOVED Where The Heart Is.

Jules~ I watch to see No Strings Attached too!! Actually..Mila Kunis has a movie like that coming out with Justin Timberlake, lol!! I think it's called Friends With Benefits..or something like that. I dunno why..but I have a major girl crush on her. She's just so gorgeous!! I'm so happy she's not with the Home Alone kid anymore, lol!!

Mindee~ Omg, that sounds so painful. Poor kid!! I hope it heals soon.

Sue~ Happy Anniversary!!!!!

I forgot to mention this..it's kinda funny, & kinda pathetic, lol!! When my SIL & I were walking back to our hotel (in Vegas)..about 3 guys said they loved me, lol!! And one asked to make out with SIL, LOL!! I'm pretty sure they were all drunk (hopefully..lol). Then the next day..a TON of guys kept hitting on me!! A group of guys actually fought over who would get my number, lol!! It was so funny to tell them I was married!! They told me I was way too young & hot to be married for 6 years, lol!! A couple other guys told me I was pretty. Talk about a major boost to your ego, lol!! I told Fonzo that I wanted to move to Vegas..haha!!

Hubs caught my cold

doing my daily pop in......

we went to our nephew's birthday party today. we had fun and the kids had a blast! I was good....only two slices of pizza, some salad, one small piece of cake, and only one glass of pop!

Logan's finger looks a lot better today! it is only pink in color.....and I found some fingertip/knuckle band-aids in our first aid kit and they fit his wound area very nicely!

Francie~ That is great to hear....and I hope you can convince Fonzo to move to Vegas! I had a similar thing happen to me......a friend of ours asked what I was doing earlier this week....so I told him I was cleaning/chasing kids/same stuff, different day......so then he tells me that it was good exercise.....I was joking with him but I said "are you saying I need the exercise?" and he said "no your in good shape." I was really close to telling him that yeah....round is a shape......but I was on too much of an ego boost to be a buzz kill. (and when I used the " " up there, it was because the conversation was through texts)

Mindee~ LoL!! i probably would've said the same thing too. I have this guy friend who always calls me pretty girl. I'm sure he's just being nice..but it's nice to hear that. Fonzo ALWAYS says that..but I dunno why it's nice to hear it from someone else. LoL!! I'm glad Logan's finger is looking better.

Just a quick Hi Nothing going on, just a boring Sunday that I will enjoy. No cooking, although I do have dishes to do from yesterday and some vacuuming but that's nothing and a couple loads of laundry. The rest of the day will be spent reading and watching dumb movies. I do plan on doing a hour of exercise as well. I didn't get anything in as planned yesterday. Ummm, my planning/schedule was a little off and I wasn't sure I was going to make Cambrie's game. I did and it was fun...nothing like 6-year-olds playing basketball, too funny. But her team (The Broncos) won, yay! Lol

We are supposed to get snow tonight into tomorrow, ugh! I really HATE that white stuff...so freaking messy. At least I don't have to go far in it. Anyway...hope everyone is enjoying the rest of the weekend! Later

Lazy, lazy week-end here. I think we all just badly needed the rest and to de-stress. It is way too cold to be out running about, and mom is in no shape, so we just hung out here. I watched some Lifetime movies and read.

Made homemade chicken soup yesterday and it was very yummy. Today my step-son brought over a crock pot full of food for dinner. I made biscuits and we all enjoyed. Nothing like not having to cook.

Taking mom to her Family Dr. tomorrow for a follow up and to the surgeon next week. She is doing well, but still so run down. I know it is going to take awhile for her to get strong. She is having no pain except at the actual site of surgery..so that is great. She is doing a few easy exercises and trying to walk back and forth in the house. (instructions from therapist)

I have so much I want to do..so many places I want to go this week, but don't know if I will get out. Going to Target to pick up my Kindle, going to pick out a new stove and tah dah...to pick out an anniversary ring from DH. Sooo...I want it ALL ASAP, but my DD is ill and can't come sit with mom. Maybe by Wed. or Thurs.

Hope you all had a great week-end and also a good week ahead.

doing my daily pop in.......

we went and did some more grocery shopping today.....got some more cupboard stuff and some other things that we needed to get.

Francie~ I agree.....it is ALWAYS nicer to hear things that like from someone other than your spouse! It just makes you feel like you are still appealing to other people.......besides your spouse more or less has to stay stuff like that just so you won't get mad at them!

Cristina~ I told you I was going to send you the snow! LOL Yay on Cambrie's team winning!!!!!

Sue~ That is great to hear about your mom! And I love the idea of not having to cook......but in our house that usually means either Tommy is cooking or we are eating out! I hope that you are able to get out and get your shopping done soon!

Last week went well - now it's onto the new week! And we might have a snow storm, which has my kids all excited. Me - not so much. Most of the time the storms hit the Gorge, and poop out befor they get to us.

I was down a pound on my Saturday weigh in..and I made all my exercise goals for the week - new year is off to a decent start. If anyone is looking for online food tracking with the social component, I am on Daily plate. It's on Lance armstrong's site livestrongdotcom. It looks like you can friend people and see their food and exercise activity yada yada. I believe you can find me by my name or if not, try my user name which is dltrkr.

Not a biggie...only if you are already "in the market" as it were. I don't want to post my food and exercise on FB, but wouldn't mind a small circle of friends on this site..

Have a great day everyone!
