Ceejay - Have a great time at the play and eating out with your relatives!!

Laura - Too funny about the dog eating the Oreo cookie buttons. I guess that's something to keep in mind when building snowmen. Good thing Coal tows you around...sometimes it's hard to find the motivation to get/keep moving in the cold weather. The pain free window was nice to get some stuff done. I may just plan stuff to do around the house for the few hours of reduced pain bliss that comes with my next test procedure.

Morning all,
Lets try it again and see if I have my fingers in the right place today.

Start with personals I think

Ruth - good to see you on the thread again. Hope it was a nice meal with Clair and Doug. So nice to know she is on the road to recovery.

Mel - the USB thingies (memory sticks) don't appear to be bothered by the security at airports. I have 3 that have gone through x-rays many times. They all appear to be okay - usually any goof ups on them are mine.
Glad to hear that you are to be relieved of your voluntary work at least for a while. I will put money on the fact that when you get tired of seeing things undone, you will be putting things right again. Can't help yourself. No wonder we think alike much of the time. Got my fingers
Hope you are feeling better now. Not nice getting sick at this time of the year. And have fun on your shop-a-thon with Jen. Hope you get some nice stuff.

Happy - so the cat is becoming a snuggler. Mr Feral is really hanging in there. Must be something to be said for living rough, but then maybe he is trading on his looks and thinks that if he looks bad then people will be sucked in and feed him some more.
Glad to hear you have some heating in the office. Pity you have to provide your own
I'm about given up on Christmas cards, can never get them out on the right time to get to people and considering most of mine would go overseas, I'd need to have them gone about a fortnight ago, so look for an e-mail box near you.
My toad is not a toad. I went out looking for him last night and found he is a mid sized green tree frog and he is looking for loooooooovvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeee this Christmas! So there is no way I can croak the frog. He's cute but loud.

Annie - Glad you had such a good weekend with the kids. Love the fact that DD has to wait for the right day for the shoes. She is probably cursing her mum for that. And you had a good night at the game with DS.
At least keeping busy at CVS stops the boredom.

Ceejay - Maybe I should send Robbie on over to fix your system for you. He is always doing something for mine and is looking for more work. Sad to hear you are having so much trouble. Enjoy your time with the Aunts and Uncles.

Michelle - been following your progress with the back on facebook. So pleased to hear that maybe, finally, there is a solution for the problem. Take it easy, the numbing of nerves in not a licence to go climbing trees or laying bricks.

Laura - love the story of the dog eating the buttons on the snowman. I thought they were supposed to be lumps of coal or something.

Kasey - nearly at the end of your school year. Hang in there, Friday is near. Hope you get to have some wonderful downtime after that. It's that time of the year when we don't do well with food. We just have to try to limit the damage.

Okay - well I need to get off here and do some work. There appears to be a possibility that we will not get to Jakarta next week. I think some one somewhere forgot to fill in a fairly important form. I hope this is not going to screw up too much because I have other work coming up in the new year and I don't wish to compromise that. And to top off the frustration, I just booked my hotel room in Singapore yesterday before the sh*t hit the fan. Grrr. and organised some drinks and nibbles with friends before they fly out to their Christmas at home. Grrrr.
I'm supposed to leave for JK on Sunday and back on 22nd Dec.
I've bought some new tees and new bra's (now there is stress shopping - you can buy the same brand, same style in three different colours and only 2 of them are the same size. I had to take the other two back since they were useless - one even had 2 different cup sizes. Well made China.

The Miss Puss is hiding again. Apparently she can't be seen. Maybe some should tell her that a mostly white tortoiseshell cat can actually be seen on a black background. even if she is sleeping on her head.

Have a great day. There is stuff I have forgotten to mention. Can't have been that important - it'll come back

Good morning ladies -

I'm an early bird today. The doggies woke me up at 4 to go outside, and I felt rested enough...so I decided to get dressed and come into work to make up some hours. I'm really angry at myself...it appears that I have lost my wonderful TENS device. I brought it to work yesterday, and thought I carried it to the car with me when I left work...but it's not at home, not in the car, and not anywhere that I can see at work. I have contacted our Lost and Found here at work, and it hasn't been turned in. I'm going to call the doctor or the insurance company and explain the situation AND the necessity and see if they can get me a replacement ASAP.

We have our department holiday potluck lunch today, which should be fun. Though I won't be playing any of the usual reindeer games as my back isn't feeling too great. Maybe they'll have a trivia game or something.

Shad - I love the sound of little tree frogs. We have them here since we live in a rural area, but we used to have them even when we lived in Silicon Valley, CA. Their little chirping always reminds me of camping and/or being out in the country. As for me abusing my back when it's numb...no worries about that. I'll be sensible. I just mean that for the few hours of numb after my next test, I might to a little of the housework I've been forced to neglect due to not being able to stand, walk or bend. I hope the forms get squared away so your plans don't get pushed all out of whack. Too funny about Sunday's hiding. We used to have a rather large cat that would "hide" by sticking her head into a pot of geraniums. She could see us...so therefore, we couldn't see her!

I'll post this now and check in again later after the other chicks have had a chance to wake up.

Love and hugs,

TGI-Th....yeah man....one more day...OK, I have been holding out on all you ladies for fear for jinxing something, but all seems to be going well sooo....................the milkman at CVS has been flirting with me for months..like 8-10 months...never once asking me out or anything, he even had a short lived relationship during that time....anyway...he left HIS phone number with CVS for me to call him...I finally did about 3 weeks ago. We have been phoning and texting for 3 weeks. He only delivers on Wednesday mornings at 7am. I just happened by CVS many months ago on a Wednesday to get something on the way to work and he saw me...so any Wednesday after that, when I stopped, we flirted. Not much, but enough to show interest. Anyways, we have our first "official" date this Friday night. He is handsome enough, 46 yrs old this coming Sunday the 13th, he will be anyway, blonde hair, blue eyes, goatee, and tall, even with my heels on he is about 2" taller than I am....and MELLIE, just for you...he is also a FIREMAN...he calls me beautiful all the time, well that gains points right there. His 18 yr old son died last February of a heart attack. He had been shoveling snow, went inside and layed back in the lazyboy. Fell asleep or so his buddy thought. So his buddy covered him up and went home. The next day, his dad the milkman, found him when he went over to check up on him. Now that is awful. Wish me luck.

Shaddie...you are just the cutest thing, the picture of you is so darn cute. If you had a kitty snuggling with you in that picture it would be adorable. I detest bra shopping....it is hard to find a 36C LONG that fits me.

Chelle......sounds like the procedure might be a positive thing, keeping fingers crossed and still praying. Dang it on the TENS device...when you give up looking, that is when you find it.

Laura...that is why you send your film to me for developing at CVS....get the discount baby! What a hoot about the snowman buttons....My dog would of gone after the carrott nose. She will actually do a flip for a carrott.

Ceejay...have a ball visiting the fam.

MELLIE...in case you did catch it in the above part of this post...I have a date with a FIREMAN this friday night...eat your heart out....I can't imagine you sitting still and not be involved in the office works downstairs..we will see.

Happy...it is always freezing in our office. Several of us have space heaters at our desk. The bad thing is when I get to toasty I get sleepy. So either I freeze and am awake or get warm and want to sleep. Catch 22.

Kasey...hope schooling is winding down for you. Ready for a break?

Not much else happening here.....have a marvelous day, ladies.

Love and Hugs.

Thank heavens for good samaritans!

A fellow employee here found my TENS device case outside the building yesterday afternoon. I must've dropped it on my way to the car. Luckily, I had something inside with my name on it. He called me as soon as he got in this morning. The zipper on the case broke when I dropped it, so it won't close anymore. But that's okay. I'll get a good bag for it. He knew what it was and how important it is because his wife has one. I'm just so relieved to have it back. Quite literally! My pain has been hovering around an 8 (even after two Aleve and something "stronger")...this has me back down to a 4 or 5. Ahhhhhh. I love, love, love my TENS device.

Annie - The guy sounds good. A non-smoker too, I'm assuming. That's awful about his son. I'll be thinking good thoughts for you on your upcoming date.

Morning all. This is my Friday, and I'm looking forward to my 4-day weekend.

Shad - I hope the forms get taken care of so that your plans still hold. You mentioning Raffles made me want to dig out my photos from my trip to Singapore. Not sure I took any photos in Raffles, but I do vaguely recall admiring those ceiling fans with blades like straw fans (?). Poor Sunday is hiding. I remember being scared of my grandmother's cat - I loved it when that cat stayed out of sight! Yes, usually the snowman's buttons are coal - of which I had none when the neighbor kids came over asking for some early Saturday, the morning after our first snow. The kids were out building a snowman. We use our gas grill so often now that we ran out of charcoal and never bought more. And so now the Oreos make sense, hehe.

Michelle - So happy you've got that TENS unit back!!! I was so worried because you've been in such pain this week. Hope you enjoy the potluck today.

Annie - If I thought I was going to have any more film to develop in the future I'd definitely take you up on sending my film to you for processing at a discount!! But nope, after I saw the inferior quality of the photos from that old camera, I know digital is so much better - even makes my ultra-amateur photos look halfway decent, LOL! Coal loved carrots as a pup and now he won't even eat them. But he loves super sweet fruits like banana and watermelon. Oooh, a fireman!! And tall!! So he has a couple jobs just like you - hope it's easy to coordinate your schedules. So tragic about losing his son. Have a wonderful time on your date tomorrow!

Hellos to the rest of the Worldlies!

Nothing much to report. Weight is staying the same. A work buddy joined the building fitness center and will start workouts in January, so I hope we can also become workout buddies and hold each other accountable. I did a BE workout last night after I got a load of laundry going.

Crap, I have to get my input submitted for the Nov. monthly report! Off I go!

Laura - Good for you for doing the BE workout. That's nice that a work friend is also going to the building fitness center. Our doggies like carrots, lettuce, canteloupe, peanut butter, pretty much anything. Hope you enjoy your 4 day weekend.

Morning all,
Have to rush this one. I need to go down to the travel agents and pick up travel insurance. Apparently this multinational no longer offers it, but will pay for it if you decide to take it out. Interesting. Anyway to cut a long story short, the trip is still on. They want their people trained even if there is a problem with the system and it may not be completely ready for them come go-live time on Jan 1. The other trainer can not make it any other time anyway and I don't want to take on his lot. So Sunday I am off to Jakarta. Back here around the 22nd. There is some talk about going back in the new year for refresher stuff but that will just have to fit in with my other plans. They can't get their **** together then they will have to fit in with what ever happens when they do.

Laura - are these the fan blades at Raffles Hotel you were talking about? These are in the long bar, but I think you might be referring to the fans that go round and round - which they also have but I can't find a picture of them. These ones flap back and forth. They are the real old variety. The oreos now make sense and that dog has a great nose.

Michelle - Glad to hear that you found the lost TENS - sometimes it is so good to have indentification in your property. Love honest people.

Annie - good luck with the date. Hope you enjoy yourself. Need to watch yourself around Mel's firemen you know. They have a high adrenaline level.

Okay - gotta go. Get this insurance, put some paperwork together, find a small suitcase from the cupboard, do some housework, finish cleaning the wet areas, laundry, ironing, cooking, garden. It never ends.

The meeting was originally scheduled for Sunday morning but due to the huge snow storm coming in Sat night and Sun it got rescheduled for Saturday. Anyway....more to come later on the new date for THEE date. Always dissappointments....

Had to go to the doc this afternoon. Major pain when urinating (sorry Happy) anyway, major kidney and bladder infection. Antibiotics and a urninary pain reliever....going to bed here in a minute......

Love and hugs.

Good morning Worldlies,

Yee haw Friday! The week's are flying by. I get my hair done tomorrow - I need it - so that will break up the day. Not so sure I'm getting cards and decorations done this year. I have to send hubby out on Monday to mail my sister and Mom's presents but first I have to pack them!

Annie - sorry your date got moved but with the storm coming and you not feeling good - probably for the best. Good time to hunker down and get better. Hope you don't have to work this weekend, tho you probably do.

Shad - I hope you can get on top of your to do list before you have to ship out. Sounds like you are crazy busy. Safe travels to you. We look forward to touring a new part of the world through your eyes. Apparently English is the common language through all of your travels to other countries? I often wondered about that in the classroom as you say the trainers come from far and wide.

Laura - hope you enjoy that 4 day weekend - sure can use the time off this time of year - at least you don't have to feel so rushed. Hopefully you don't get dumped on with snow. That story about your friend's dog was too funny

Ceejay - sorry I missed you. Hope you have a good time in your travels.

Michelle - I'm so glad that someone found and returned your TENS unit! And considering his background, you almost have to believe it's an angel in disguise Glad to hear the procedure is working for you and that you got an early appointment for the next test. Just go easy this weekend - relief to come soon sister!

Mel - maybe Annie will share her fireman with you Happy birthday to your friend Hope you have a nice time with (I assume) her. How did the shopping trip go? Buy lots of fun stuff?

Are you plowing through your finals Kasey? Good luck!

Time for me to get my last workday over with. Have a good weekend everyone.

Hi Ladies -

Happy Friday!!! I got great news yesterday! I thought I would have to wait two weeks for my next "test"/diagnostic procedure...but I was able to get scheduled for this coming Tuesday!! I'm sooo happy! Hopefully, this test will be at least as successful as the first, and I'll hopefully be able to get the "real" pain relieving procedure by the end of this month or early next month. I'm so very hopeful that by early 2011, I will have little or no back pain so that I can focus on getting fit and healthy (in a gentle, doctor approved way). The "real" procedure sometimes provides permanent pain relief..and sometimes it has to be repeated after 9-24 months. I'm working from home today and Monday, then Tuesday morning is the procedure.

We got roughly 3" of snow last night...and we're supposed to get another 6" tomorrow. Hopefully, Mom Nature will deliver less than expected.

Shad - Glad to hear the trip is still on even if they don't have their systems in order or **** together. Wishing you safe travels and a successful training with as minimal stress as possible.

Annie - Sorry to hear about the date being rescheduled, and about the infection. I hope the antibiotics clear it up quickly. Does cranberry juice help? I've never had a urinary infection...knock on wood...but I've heard that drinking cranberry juice is good. I hope you don't work all weekend, so you can rest and get better. Tonight, we'll be decorating the tree...finally. We always start with a few of our most special ornaments...and we got a new very special ornament this year from a good friend.

Happy - Hope you have a wonderful, wonderful Friday! Last night, DH and I got the last of our gifts that we ship out. And when we got home, I wrapped and then he packed them into the box. I'm going to drop the box off today.

Laura - Enjoy your long weekend!!!

Mel - I hope you're staying warm and relaxing today. Happy Birthday to your friend!

I'll check in later to see how y'all are doing today!

Lots of love and hugs,

Saturday - and 1000 things to do. I can cross this one off the list when I finish here. I reckon there is at least 15 hours of things to do, and then again Mick has a habit of landing more on my plate just when I was juggling the balance. Better keep my head down I think.

So tomorrow I leave for Jakarta. I will still be able to post, I figure I might have to take both computers owing to the fact that I can't get a business email on the other - stupido. By the time they get it up and running, I will be coming home.

I'm not going to do personals right now. Next lot might be from the airport so hi ho, it's off to work I go - pack, wash, change bed, sweep, dust, load usbs, collect passport, insurance and money together. on and on and on - is there a sleepy smilie.

Safe and uneventful travels to you Shad - let us know when you arrive.

Good luck with the snow to you up north. 10 to 18 inches due up my cousin's way.
