Hi oddreee nice to meet you. Here's my update. I weighed in on Tuesday and today at 168.4 not great but not bad either since I am still trying to avoid that dreaded 170. I haven't been to Curves in a while. I haven't really had time. Eventhough I'm not losing any weight I am still losing inches some how. I went shopping and tried on a junior 13/14 jeans and they fit. I was in a 15/16. I can fit some 12's for women but some are cut weird so they are very tight. I am truly hoping to get close to the low 160's before the first of December ... hoping. We'll see I guess. Again nice meeting you

OK Jennifer, I'm trying to get back into the swing of things gradually. I weighed in at 173.0 today but my weight has been jumping around like crazy. I was at 168.8 earlier this week and last week I actually saw 178.2. I don't know what the variations in weight are caused by since nothing I am doing is consistent at the moment. My water intake is bad and I rarely eat what I consider as a descent meal here lately. I have been having some stomach issues this week and the only day I ate normal was yesterday and I still couldn't keep that down.

I'm back! Haha Hi! I just wanted to post something real quick so you can see my updated ticker! I haven't been on here in a long while but I am still bringing down my weight slowly but surely! I stay right around 1200 calories (most days) I allow myself a little cheat day usually a Sunday where one meal I will eat what I've craved most during the week (hot wings or bread or just a bake potato with the works etc) no guilt because I jump right back the next day! I may only post my total calories as I use fitday on my phone to journal my meals but I will check in often and keep up with you too! Have a good night!

Well I was just calculating what I have gained since signing back on to 3FC ... it's 6.8lbs since 3/11. Yikes!! TTOM started too so I know some of it is that. I have decided to make today my official start day to eat right and log what I eat. I am also going to attempt to get 64ozs of water in. My weight this morning was 179.8 when I came from work and 178.0 when I came from Curves and on 3/11 I was 173. I want to be 170 by the end of the month and stay there so I can get into the 160's in April. My original goal was to be 150 by my birthday but that is obviously not gonna happen.

Well the 13th didn't stick as a new start date so I'm starting again. Weighed in this morning at 179.2 :( couldn't get a pair of jeans pass my thighs so this is a start date for sure. Gave the kids all of my cookie stash and trying my best to do right today.

I had a health assessment on 3/28 found out that I am diabetic. I started the South Beach diet yesterday since it is recommended to help control blood sugar. Hoping to do well with this since March was a mess. :D

Hi ladies, I just found this thread! I am in the northern-ish VA area, not really sure if Stafford counts, but I figured it was in the vicinity so I would pop in.
I've been working on this whole weight loss thing since January of 2010 and am down almost 80 pounds. I'm using a BodyBugg to help track my calorie output (I credit that little thing with most of my success) and counting calories. I also try to make sure to incorporate some South Beach principles into my meals, but I don't always do too well with that due to lack of time. |
Hi Audri I'm in Stafford also. Jenn and I have been friends for a long time so I just figured since I know more about her area I'd call it NoVA :) I have heard about the BodyBugg. When I started in June of last year I started out counting calories and walking. I did really well, by 9/25 I had lost 30lbs and was extremely pleased. I hadn't shopped for regular size clothes in years. Although I have gained some weight do to my inability to stay on track I am still wearing some of my 12's and now some 14's. I just started South Beach yesterday and have been going through the threads to find tips, ideas, meals and whatever else I can find. I hear there's a new book, so I guess I'll have to purchase that. Nice to meet you.

I weighed in at 174.4. I didn't make my goal of getting out of the 170's My starting weigh on this challenge on 5/31 was 178.8 so I loss 4.4lbs.

July wasn't a good month. I went back and forth and just got too laxed with everything. I would do good and fall off the wagon. I even had some great accountability partners and still I messed up. For August I just want to get it together and keep it together.

Ok, lemme see.... I did HORRIBLY over Christmas weekend. I'm actually afraid of getting on the scale because I don't think I'm ready to see the number. These past two months have been a bit trying, and I'm hoping I'll be able to kick it back into gear with the new year. |
Hi Lakilaulea as you can see I haven't posted on this thread in quite some time. I have actually done HORRIBLY this year. I am hoping to start a thread with some old friends from here for daily weigh in and calorie counting. We did well together in 2010 and 2011. I hope you are able to join us. What are you doing to help on this journey? Starting January 2 or 3 ... I am cutting out all bread, rice, pasta, fried foods, soda and sweets. That is what I did before and it really helped. I also walked at least 6 days a week ... gotta get the right mind set again for all of that :)

I started this journey in October and was doing really good then. I cut out processed foods, starches, and anything fast or takeout. I was also exercising 6-7 days a week. I started faltering a little in late November and pretty much gave into every single food temptation this past weekend. I'd like to start off January right and do what I was doing initially. Nothing processed, no starches, and working out a solid 6 days a week. I'd really like to see Onederland by my birthday late next month. I'd definitely join a daily check in thread! I need the accountability; I think one of the reasons I did so well the first 6 weeks was because I was checking in on this site every day. I need the daily reminder, you know? I have to keep telling myself why I'm doing this everyday or I'll lose my resolve and eat whatever I want.

My issue also is family. I still have to cook for my husband and my children. I am definitely going to do what I can to stay focused. I was also logging my food intake on myfittnesspal. That also helped. Do you track your meals also? I am really hoping to get back to doing everything that helped. I posted on the daily weigh in thread below

Ok got up at 5:51a.m. weight was only up a pound so not too bad
