Just a quickie. Nothing new here. Surprise. HA. DH is having his interview right now with another Hospital. I woke up feeling crappy but not feeling all that bad now. Sorry for being so down lately. I'll try to be more positive.

Jules -- Yeah you're prob right. I have to get the job first though, right? LOL!

Do you all have any special plans for this Holiday Weekend? Me? Nope. Nothing. We usually stay home because we hate the crowds and plus they shoot off fireworks behind our house. One of the largest fireworks place is right down the st. from us.

Sassy...no plans for the weekend. Did have plans to go to J & C's but she has canceled, or that was the plan a couple of days ago...have no clue, she cannot give a straight answer so will probably sit at home and put some headphones on and chill by myself. Getting to where I hate the 4th! Anyway...didn't stop by to complain.

Another hi/bye post. I am getting sleepy...was going to read but don't think that is going to happen.

Cristina--we used to go watch fireworks at mom's at the park, not up to it this year,we are taking Dom to see them at a local park.

Teri found the dress...she tried on some pretty ones, but then found the one...it's beautiful. I can't post on facebook but I am just not sure he's the one..he's nice, he's good to Dom, but there are just a few things that don't make him the one...Teri said she had the one with the first husband and that ended badly, she's not expecting huge sparks...she is settling for stable...I just want her to have sparks and stable...

Happy 4th of July ladies. We are not doing anything. As a matter of fact, probably won't be doing anything for several weeks. Gotta get mom recovered and strong. Then we can run around again.
So far so good...mom had a very good night in her own bed. I expected to be up with her a lot in the night...here she only woke up once and needed help to the bathroom. Then she actually was hungry for the first time. So, I fed her some pudding and she went right back to sleep. I was up for an hour this morning before she woke up.
Home health and therapy ladies came by today and set up an exercise routine for her. They were surprised that she was as strong as she is. Kind of wore her out though, so I think she will sleep good again tonight.
I am Blessed to have her here and be able to care for her.

we have been busy for sure!

The kids are out of school....we had to get rid of our cat because she got fleas. we would have kept her, but there was just too many fleas plus money is tight and I didn't want to get up one morning and end up finding her dead, or worse the kids finding her. but she is getting the help that she needs....we took her to the local animal shelter. I feel really bad and guilty for doing it, but I know that we don't have the money to provide the care for her that she needs.

my weight is still an issue......but right now there are some legal issues that are taking the front burner. I can't go into too much detail, but it involves me getting jumped by a girl that didn't live in the complex. we are waiting to hear from the prosecutors office to hear if they are going to press charges on her or not.

other than that, we are just taking the time and enjoying our time together. we are still on the house hunt, but we are trying to figure out where we are going to pull the money from.

Hello all...

Looks the bbq is on hopefully... it rained today and is supposed to tomorrow so we shall see what happens. Still going to have dinner/bbq at J & C's of course but depending on the weather as to whether or not there will be fireworks. If it is anything like today, and they say it is supposed to be the rain was sporadic and stopped for a while so...I can hear fireworks going off now and it's 1 a.m., ugh! Anyway...

MINDEE...long time no hear!

Anyway...I need to go peel some eggs I boiled earlier for mac salad and potato salad for tomorrow before heading to bed. I am sleepy...good thing I get to sleep in. But have some baking and cooking to do in the morning so need to be up at a decent hour.

just thought I would pop in to see how every one is doing.....

we took the kids, and met some friends, at another local display of fireworks. we all had a blast, and I got some more pictures!

there is another set of fireworks on Sunday, today........we are going to get the kids their child identification kit done, and then maybe staying for the fireworks.

we got Brandon's packet for school from his new teacher. so right now, we are going to stick it out here and then we will start our search again in the spring and hope to have something by the end of school next year! unless we can find a money tree growing around here somewhere!

thanks for all the nice words. we have to get the house together so that they can come and spray again for the fleas. they came on Saturday, but weren't able to spray all around because we didn't have every thing pulled away from the walls.

I am so far behind! Now that my crazy June is over, I'll try to check in more often...at least for WI Monday...

Today we are not doing much...having MIL and some friends over for BBQ, then go to see some fireworks.

Katy..I can relate to a crazy June. On the 1st when mom was still at the hospital, she asked me where June went. I said "right here at the hosp. this was June." So true...

Mindee- Howdy, glad you are having some fun times for the 4th. You are one photo shooting lady! But just one question....do you ever have fun or are you always shooting? And why no Mindee in the pics? (oops, 2 questions) Good luck with the money tree thing. If you find one I want a start from it!

Sassy- Big bunches of luck coming your way...for the jobs for you and your DH. I am going to try to get back to WATP this week also.

Cristina- Sounds like you are gonna have a nice bbq. We are going to have a "mini" bbq tomorrow. I made potato salad and DH is going to grill some burgers. Nothing major.

Susan- Any luck finding strong men to move a treadmill for you? Hey, sounds like fun looking though.

Jules- When is the wedding? I am happy for Teri and would love to see the dress. I understand what you mean about being THE one. We all want sparks and stability.

Today we had to turn the A/C back on after almost a week of beautiful mild weather. Looks like it is going to stay hot for several days. I need to get out and do a little yard work, but I waited too long. I missed seeing some of my flowers in bloom while I was at the hospital 24/7. Mom kept asking about the shasta daisies..her favorite..and wouldn't you know, they bloomed the day she came home and are looking great. When she sits at the table they are right out the window in her view and she enjoys them so much. All of the rain made some of my beds look rather overgrown and savage, but not a weed in sight. SO, I am just gonna enjoy them. I will move a few things later in the Fall.

Mom is doing so super....I am constantly amazed. She is just using the cane in the house now instead of the walker. She was determined to get herself breakfast...cereal and coffee. So, I let her. She had no problem...fiesty little thing!

Thought I would stop by before heading to bed...I plan on sleeping in tomorrow, at least until 10. Who knows...but I don't plan on WI I have had too much junk the last few days and today didn't help I am sure. Don't think I ate too much but was drinking a little so...that stuff adds up I guess. Don't know the calories on those things.

Today was sort of a bust...on the way over to J & C's the road was blocke because of a plane landing on the highway...yes, I said a plane. I was trying to figure out how to get to their place without going 20 miles out of my way and as I was sitting there they were wrapping it up and moving it. It didn't crash so I don't know what was wrong. Then the rest of the way it started pouring...the streets were flooding and it didn't get any better. But it let up some and then about 8'ish it was just sprinkling off and on so fireworks by us were done. The park didn't do theirs..canceled them, bummer. But we had a good time so who cares...didn't let a little rain stop us, or rather, a LOT of rain! And now I am off to bed...this was just supposed to be a quickie, lol. Nighty, night all...enjoy your Monday!

just thought I would pop in while I have the chance to do so! I have been going non-stop to keep the kids entertained that it seems crazy! and it is supposed to be really hot here for the next couple of days, so it will be inside days for us since the heat hits you as soon as you open the door!

Sue~ I love taking pictures! We used to call my grandma and grandpa (my mom's parents) silly nicknames....my grandma was grandma polaroid, and my grandpa was papa camcorder. My grandma always had her little Polaroid camera in her hand and was taking pictures, and she would even give you a Kinko copy of that picture if you asked her. My grandpa always had a camcorder in his hand when I was younger.....so it goes to show that the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. Plus, I don't want to miss out on anything......and sometimes my shots are just pure candid ones. I have even been dubbed "Mindee digital" by my aunt (my mom's sister and my Godmother) and some of my sisters. I am in some of the pictures from the 4th of July....so you can check those ones out. I have just been shying away from getting pictures of me due to my weight gain. To answer your other question......yes I do have fun.......and I always seem to be shooting the pictures! (we got a new camera and my hubby gets fed up with it sometimes)

Hey Chicks.

Well AF is here. So the floodgates have opened. lol. I go see the dr in the morning. He is going to take my blood for my A1C to see how that is and depending on that, depends on if I get the fertility meds or not.

If it is not low enough (he wants it under 6.5) then Sassy is going hard core. I mean I think I've done pretty dang good, but I can certainly do much much better! So if my A1C is not low enough guess what? MaMa's gonna purge this house of all the "demons" and nothing that is not good for me will pass through that door!

I guess I just want this show to get on the road already. I'm not getting any younger! HA! But also I'm kinda tired of the WL just kinda snailing off. I know its good to lose slow but I just don't have that much time and I don't want to preggo + have all this extra weight on me. So this A1C either way is gonna push me to work harder. Because if its a "Go" for the meds than I have to be serious and can't slack off anymore and if its not a "Go" for the meds than I have to work really hard so that I can get there.

Either way I can't let whatever happens get me down. I just have to make whatever the results are push me to where I wanna go. I've been slacking off bad lately. Not exercising not eating the best, etc. I gotta get back to being serious. I WI on Monday and I was the same, no loss, no gain, which is good that there was no gain, but there was no loss, none at all.

Anywho don't wanna get long-winded. Haven't heard from Michaels yet. But I figure if its meant to be, than so be it and if not I am still looking. Thank you all for your well wishes!

wi - bleh - 174.4. When I was on the vicodin cough syrup I blew up to 180, so I am glad that it is coming off.

Sue - I am glad to see that your mom is improving; you are taking such good care of her.

Hi to Cristina, Sassy ( fingers crossed for good news from the doc!), Susan, Francie, Jules, Mindee and anyone else I may have missed!

I did the 6am yoga class, then took Leigh to the zoo. Came home, ate, then took a nap, lol! What an exciting day. I am still applying for jobs, but with the latest state budget woes, there aren't many teaching jobs to apply for. Keeping my fingers crossed...
