Default Hello again

Its a great day here, if you like howling winds and blustery rain promised for this afternoon.
Going for a walk now with an old mate...try to do 3-4 7 km walk a week to keep my body going.
Has anyone here heard of Bowen therapy?
I tried some the other day for a shoulder that physios cant fix...and so far so good. W#ill keep you up to date!

Nope, I haven't heard of that Alan. What does it involve?

Amy I'm hoping to get work either at the stadium or any other venue maybe once a week or once a fortnight. They send me a spreadsheet once a month and I fill it out saying when I'm free and they roster me on on that basis.

Well done on losing 300g Kel that's great

Forgot to say before that during the weekend some b@st@rd snapped off the rear window wiper on my car I live on a busy road and am currently having to park on the street so I guess it was only a matter of time before something like this happened. The Boy's car got sideswiped a few weeks ago and they dented the side and smashed off the side mirror.

Some people are PRICKS!

yes julia its like people who key cars - get a fricken life!

amy - chook pen got 'finished' last night HAD to coz they kept jumping the fence and getting into my veges but i think there i some roof work to be done still.... and am pretty sure will show it off on facebook!! we have acquired 3 different coloured milk crates in the last couple of years so those and the old catcher for the mower is their nesting place and we have 2 old knife and fork drawer inserts i am using for their scraps and their food just go to get the water sorted at the moment just using dog bowls... next time build chook house then buy chooks...

alan - please tell me more about bowen thearpy - i have a EX friend who swears by it and i always wondered what it was she has one once a month i think and would rave and rave about it

i am so annoyed - my treat for today and the only milo i was planning on having ALL week was tainted by what i think was off milk!!!

a part of me wonders how much i could have lost if i was dieting not changing lifestyle.... but will have to keep wondering as i want this to keep going and as i am going it can and will

Well done on your loss Kel.

Its TOM (sorry Alan!) this week for me so not expecting great results this week.

Amy's right Ani, and you've come so far you'll find your groove again soon.

Wow Vonnni! How did you manage to deliver a baby and not get teary? I watched my girlfriend have her last one and couldn't see a thing for the tears!!!

Alan i was driving to school today in that nasty weather. I couldn't see three feet in front of me!

Thumbs up Keep up the good work

I have only had one treatment so far, but it is similar to a massage, except more attention is made to manipulation of certain key areas. So far it has helped to free up my movements...but I wil keep you posted. I have another on 31st in a week.
Bowen therapy has been around for 50 years plus I think, and was discovered by an Aussie...check on the net for more...I am no expert

Anyway we are weathering a storm right now...and just as got to that point the lights went out, and three hours later I am finishing the letter!

So all you hard-working ladies, keep that weight dripping off! I know you are doing it for lots of reasons, and all of them worth the effort.

Rooster Alan

Alan that sounds really interesting. I will look it up online today

Kel it sounds like you're having a lot of fun with your chookies!

Yay, got another roster for the new part time job and my name appears quite a lot which is good! I'll be working one day selling programmes at Mama Mia (wonder if I'll get to see any of it??), a few more rugby games and some soccer and cricket.

More Money =

I am proud to report that I had an awesome day yesterday. Food choices were spot on and I ended up doing weights and a spin class at the gym

It's a beautiful day here today and I am feeling really positive and energised. Long may it last!

Goals for today:

1) Make good decisions with regards to what goes into my mouth.
2) Go to spin tonight.

and did my first body pump class.... gotr through the whole class np and wondered why i didnt try it earlier.... .... but then i suppose that sort of class when your unfit would not be fun... ... I loved it... when it ended i wanted to go again.... but im sure my body didnt... im a little stiff this morning... ... my arms in the calss were fine but mt legs were shaking... lol...

I want to try body attack to but have to wait till next week since they run it on a wednesday morning and Leah has her first school visit in the morning.. and the parents have a meeting .. and meet the teacher.. ( who i already know and love i might add , Camerons reception teacher) so the class will wait... anyway time to make breaky... i have forgotten half the stuff i was going to say ... stupid post eating computer.. lol

Barb i dont think i had time to get teaqry. I do however get sympathy for the mum. i hate watching people in pain.

Did anyone see the news last night? We had a favourite local pub (historical one) go up in flames Sunday night. Matt was gone from 6.30 sunday evening till 8am Monday morning fighting it then waiting around for investigators to get there. was pretty big. totally gone. heere is a link to the photoes i took (yes we went down to see as we could see the glow in the sky from 4km away.

OK I will focus on finishing the book and then concentrate on losing weight after that. Only two weeks to go and it will all be finished.

But in the meantime I will try and make as many good decisions as I can, and not do too much damage to myself

Hi everyone
Good on you Amy, I will start classes (one day) I'm just SO uncoordinated, it's the gym for me for the time being.
I just spoke to my sister & we have started a weight loss challenge (as we are about the same weight). This could get really ugly as we are horribly competitive......
