I forgot to tell you about something very elementary I read in the WW book that hit home. I was reading a success story of a nurse--- and she had failed diets before... b/c she was too busy looking at long term. Her leader said to her.... only worry about today.... so, that was her motto. "Just for today; I can do this. So...... I am adopting it too. I looked it up in spanish..... just b/c. So, that is my motto. Just for today, I can do this!

Wow, that is an awesome bike........ I bet the guys flock you on it!
|
Oh, and if you want to sell it ever-- holler...... my 15 year old would die for that bike!
|
Ms.Diana, that is awesome paint!!!
good morning, haven't been on in a couple days, been working and getting more rain here :?: we've had just a couple of sunny warm days with NO rain, it feels like summer has just started and it's already august!!! I sure hope ChopperChick is having enough fun for all of us at Sturgis! HOPEFULLY we can pick up my bike part tomorrow, after work. And even more hopefully dh has get it on my bike. I haven't been on her in this long of an absence since like April . weighed the day before yesterday and am at 150. So my ticker isn't too far off :) check in later after I work out |
well it took me a long time to finally do it but this afternoon I did 30 Day Shred Level 3 and then 15 minutes of Gilad abs.
I had off today, and it was a totally gorgeous day out there. Sunny with a light breeze and just in the low 80's. But wtih no bike, I stuck to chores. I did alot of much needed cleaning in here (how can our smooth-silky-coated dog SHED SO MUCH) and cut the grass, that takes almost an hour. And I still need to tackle a big job, going through clothes and tossing what I don't wear to make room in drawers and closet for what I do wear. Why is it so hard to throw out a shirt that I wear, maybe 3 times a year  |
Holly,
I am going to keep it short.... I am meal planning...... yep me! I am tired of failing and I heard a Jillian Michaels quote "when you fail to plan, you plan to fail" so I thought long and hard about it and she is right. So, when you find out the answer to the questions on the shirt---- let me know :D |
Hey chicks! We finally have had a few days in a row without rain, and I"ve got my bike back :carrot:
Today I washed her, then went to auto parts store to get some new polishes. I like the Mother's brand; so I got the Carnuba wax, Chrome Polish, and a Metal Polish, which I am PSYCHED about (the metal polish) because my cast aluminum wheels have slowly darkened and I've just been keeping them clean, but not figuring out how to work on removing the discoloration. WELL the Mother's Mag and Aluminum Polish just takes that dark right off! It isn't completely effortless, I had to get something cushy to sit on in the driveway, and get a PILE of old towels, and worked on about 6 inches at a time, both sides, front n back, then moved bike ahead and repeated. You rub a small amount onto the surface, until you start to see the black come up, then switch to a clean spot on towel and rub til the black is gone. The back wheels are really discolored, they don't look at great as the front ones do, but it's harder to reach in back there with the saddlebags and the swingarm. So there is something very very tranquil and just *right* about being on the ground right next to your bike on a summer evening, no bugs for once, and just enjoying the moment. Today I did Level 3 of 30 Day Shred, I am never sore afterwards BUT the 20 -some minutes I am sweating and breathing hard and wishing it was over! so that's exertion. We have our organizations Toy Run this Saturday; I can NOT get away from work any earlier than 11 or so, but I can still participate; I am going to be a Road Dog :D I get to sit on my bike at an intersection to keep cars from getting into the Toy Run procession. I do have to wear a goofy safety vest :p but I know that makes me look somewhat official  It's a job the Montpelier Police usually do for us, but some of them are riding this year in the Toy Run! So I'm kewl to do it. If I can get some sun :flow2: I'll be even happier so I guess I'll wear a tank top. well have a nice night, and I hope everyone is on track! |
I need to do some polishing on Ms. Dyna.... but it has been so rainy I cannot imaging doing a good polishing until we get the rain to level out. And, we have nasty mosquitoes all the time.... so I am looking forward to them not being as thick after the harvest of the fields.
Holly, if you wear a tank top and shorts, the traffic will stop! You have got to be toned as much as you work out. I do know what you mean about the funky safety vest. I wear one in the AM when I walk Jake. It is dark and we need all the help with visibility we can get. I have deleted my profile off facebook. We have a druggie creep trying to get to Wayne through my FB page. I figure it is just best to nip it in the bud now. Besides with all of the viruses twitter is getting, I suspect it is only a matter of time til they get in FB. I do like seeing the pic of Reda's trip. Man those are some awesome sites they are getting to see. I am soooo jealous. Oh well, maybe someday we will get to go like that. I am going to get off here. I am trying my best to stay on track. I have a new short term goal of 190... my oldest son's weight..... btw, he is doing the P90x and it is kicking his butt! He said basic training was not that rough. So, it will be a long time before I do it. I am content with my boot camp and when it gets "too easy" for me, there are many modifications I can do such as leg weights, higher steps, more arm weight.... so it should keep me busy for awhile. I am setting my long term goal at 175. I think I can maintain that. Even though I went to spark people.com last week and it said I need to lose 55 more pounds. I am a big girl--- with true big bones...... I cannot remember a time I weighted that low and I cannot imagine me losing another 55 pounds. I would look sick. I am not just saying that so I don't have to lose the weight, but seriously 55? Okay, I am going for real this time. Hope you all have a great weekend! |
good (early!) morning! I woke up over an hour early and thought "why fight it" :D
Tammy , that is NUTZ about your suggested goal weight. They don't seem to take into consideration frame size! You aim for what YOU know will be good for you. sorry to hear of the degenerate that made you pull you FB stuff. I sure hope that stops!! so I need to be at work for a few hours, then my Road Dog duty :D then the Toy Run formalities and clean up ( www.unitedmotorcyclists.org ) then to a VNVMC (Vietnam Vets MC) event. The forecast is for ALL sun and high 70's, yay! (Picked up my fluorescent vest yesterday, hmm, it's rather shapeless, maybe I can belt it to give it some fashion sense  have a great day :) |
Well hello ladies- We made it back from vacation safe and sound :)
Nice bike and paint job MsDiana Holly how did the toyrun turn out yesterday? I am sure you made that safety vest look HOTTTTT :) Nice job on cleaning your bike- and nice job keeping your cool when throttle cable broke, it was just to bad that you had down time waiting for the new one to get here.... Holly you get to have a day without bugs what is that, we have mosquitos really bad right now even our city is spraying every 2 weeks they are awful but on a good note while out in Sturgis they have no mosquitos at all it was so nice but they did have huge grass hoppers and boy did they hurt when you hit them going 75 mph. Tammy sorry to hear that you had to take profile down off FB maybe you could put it back up with your maiden name- arent they letting you have a log in stage name now? Great news that you have still been attending your boot camp sessions and have a short term and long term goal- I will have to get back on track now that vacation is over :( Vacation well pictures will be posted on FB again- We had for the most part great weather but it did rain almost every day late in the afternoon of which some were brutal high winds and hard rain, Thursday well here come the hail and we are talking golf ball sized hail, we were fortunate that no damage to any of our motorcycles but we seen lots of vehicles with broken out windows and hail dents from front to back it was bad We did lots of riding then went to Sundance WY and watch the burnouts that are televised on History Channel, they were good.... it was really hot that day we made it into the 90's that day and full of sun :) Went into Hill City and rode an 1880's train into Keystone, SD it was quite an experience since I had never been on a train before. :) Tammy that quote "you fail to plan, you plan to fail" is so true I need to make sure to get right back on track and start planning but will need to get to the grocery store first but that won't happen today need to finish getting toyhauler unloaded and get laundry started and hopefully done before taking off to races- Yep DS races tonight oh and the day before we left he got a new race car but last Sunday (of course we were on vac) he got wrecked and it wasn't good, he was fine but car not good- first night he even got to race the new car. DH was looking at new motocycle this week, he did find a Boss Hoss that he likes but dealer didn't bring it with them to rally - it is actually in Maryland and said it would only cost $500 to have shipped to our door- DH is debating but we have only gotten to see pics so if he decides he will be buying it without hearing it, but they did send lots of pictures and it does look good????? Well I think this post is long enough so I will check back in later:) |
CC: I am so glad that you made it home safely and had a great time.
Holly: Hope you had a great toy run. I have to make it short today. Busy, busy, busy. |
Hi chicks!!! Reda, WELCOME BACK! and so sorry it took me so long to pop in here. I have to make time to look at your pics on Facebook :)
I've been bad, I worked out Friday, then not again until today! yada yada yada :D I've been so lucky in missing some rain lately, the showers have been very localized. Oh yeah, the Toy Run was great, a beautiful sunny day and we had over 900 bikes. When I was getting ready to block traffic, I had many by-standers coming up to comment on what a good thing the Run was, and how they look forward to it each year. My good boss, the chef, has a family emergency (dad is ailing badly in Florida) so he has to take a few days off, and myself and the day cook are doing our part to step up and try to fill in for him. So I might have to do a busy lunch or two, I'll let you know how it goes :) |
Hello Chickies :)
Holly hope all goes good with your boss's father, I will pray for him. You will be able to step up just fine and that will keep you super busy Planning our Eagle Rider Poker Run for Sept 12th but have to get everything in order so I will be busy with that for the next couple of weeks :) We are donating all proceeds to the Diabetes Research Center in Iowa City so a really good cause. Well talk to you later have a great night |
