Thanks Gen thats exactly what I wanted to know, so why couldn't the nurse tell me that!

Kel I've been sitting around 103 for so long now, I seem to be loosing the same kilo over and over again. just can't find the motivation to stick to anything even remotely like a plan!

I would like to jump from a plane too, tandem of course! I think once I got up there I would need a little shove out the door! So 90 seems to be the target.

I was going through some photo's yesterday and was amazed to see how small I was only 4 years ago. I was 75k and I still felt like a heffer even then. What I would give to be back there. I just got tired of running a restaurant! One meal for me and another for them, sick of weighing and measuring everything I put into my mouth too. I know I eat healthy but its the amoun I'm eating that does the damage. If I had the funds I would go down the path that Gen's taking without a second thought.

update - since i weighed myself at 6.30 i have lost 600grams
so i am going to say - for motivational purposes -
i have lost 900 grams this week!!!!!!!! wooooooohooooooo
102.7kg
gotta get under 100

barb - dont worry about 75kg, 3 years ago i was 74.5kg i thought i had 6kg to go and then i got pregnant and put on 30kg (and at the time i was 74kg i was remembering when i was a size 10)
look at the photos and say - i can do it again - i can be there - there is NO reason why not
lets get under 100kg!

I chickened out of weighing in this morning.

Will I chicken out of jumping from a plane?

Hmmmm...

[singing] I feel like chicken tonight, like chicken tonight...

Haha Lindor!

75 was the lightest that I've ever been since I was about 10 years old. When i got pregnant the first time I put on 30k's too and never lost all of it, so the second time around I was already over 100kg's. I never looked pregnant till the last couple of months!

Well done on your loss Kel, that's very cool!

I had an okay day yesterday. Food was good up until after dinner time when I snacked on a big bowl of rice crackers, carrots with dip, 4 scorched almonds and a glass of wine.

Oops!

Went to the gym and took it relatively easy. I did 30 minutes weights circuit and then 25 minutes walking. Still not feeling 100% so taking it easy.

Goals for today are to have another workout at the gym and do better with my food intake.

Oooh .. . if I could lose even half a kilo per week from now until Christmas I will be happy!!! That is a good way to look at it! And seems less stressful than trying to get it all off in a few months (which is what I would love . . . )

Good going on dodging the noodles Kel.

Does anyone else have really vivid dreams of food when they start (restart) dieting??

I don't know, maybe I am nuts, but I had this awesome dream last night about eating a massive chunk of steak, cooked to perfection, seasoned with a gentle hint of garlic and salt and pepper, with freshly cooked, hot, chunky, salted, potato chips and a generous salad with all the creamy dressing!! I swear I woke up drooling!!!

Maybe I am watching too much MasterChef too??

I've been keeping pretty much to plan over the last week - Friday was a bit of a mess, but I believe I have redeemed myself from that.

I don't know what it is with the scale and why I fear them. In a way I like the 'no weigh-ins' - I hated being controlled by the numbers the scale show. At the moment I am content with feeling happy at the end of a day when I know I haven't over eaten.

Anyway, short and sweet, I gotta run!

Have a good one folks!

Yum Lindor that is one tasty dream!

I had another particularly average night last night. I did go to the gym and did weights followed by a 20 minute jog, 10 minute walk/run intervals and 10 minute walk.

Unfortunately when I got home I was CRANKY and proceeded to polish of 2 large glasses of wine and lots of rice crackers. Not the worst thing in the world to eat but not ideal either.

Goal for today is to find something good to eat! I've got $10 until tomorrow so I'm thinking spaghetti on toast for lunch and get some mince and chickpeas to cook up for dinner.

i want another kitten
duchess is getting desexed tomorrow

i love masterchef
and lindor i kinda know what you mean - you start dieting and EVERYTHING seems that much more scrumptious

vonni - you aim for 10kg then IF you dont make it i reckon you DEFINATELY would have hit 5kg

i am so proud
my nagging or as i would prefer to call it "support" of my friend who is short and 128.9kg last week is working
she weighed herself last week for the first time in a long time at my nagging so she would have a benchmark etc
and then today
she has lost 900grams!!!! and now she is motivated to do better coz she can see a couple of times last week where she was just really naughty!!
i am so proud of her
woohoo

ani - you are an inspiration - you have shown me to keep motivated, keep it slow and steady but keep it going down
i would rather be 30kg lighter in 2 years than be the same or god forbid heavier than i am now

ok chicken nuggets for lunch (but they are kinda healthy ones coz i am getting them from a box not from some deep fryer in some take out place made by 12 year olds

BTW, remember the witch at work who acts nice but slides in digs about my weight?

Her new caper is being sly as a dog. Example - she has scheduled me to interview 2 nurse candidates tomorrow morning. She didn't tell me. I only found out because my boss fwded her email to me. I haven't seen resumes of either candidate yet. Fun.

Then - I had a pet project. I used this special dressing when i was in Australia. It's an Australian product. So I asked if I could try it on our patients here. Surgeon agree after I provided all the info etc and patient failed another therapy. I contacted the company, ordered samples, did inservices, wrote a dressing protocol, personally did ALL the dressings and took photos each day, to document the wounds etc.

My baby, right? So when I was in Australia with my mum, the rep from that company came around to the hospital. This nurse met with her, and emailed me that they want us to write a paper/do a poster for a conference. I said ok, but it's premature because we don't have enough data (only 2 patients). I said please tell the rep to contact me directly. I specifically wrote to the nurse and said "I am not sure why you are involved in this - this is my project and I will write it up. Please have them contact me."

SO this afternoon, she sends me a draft of an article that she has put together with the rep - without me!! I don't know why she even copied me now. I am PISSED OFF!!! When I was doing the dressings, she didn't want a bar of it. Anyone asked questions, she was all "oh, that's Gen's arena, don't ask me". I came in on weekends to do the dressings etc. Now she wants the publication? F that!

I am going to rip her head off tomorrow.
