Training went well yesterday. Form was good. I was not so sore that I rushed things just to keep from squeaking in pain. I meet with her again tomorrow to have her push me through it.

However, my weight is up this week, so I am going to stick with the increased cals.

I'm back on-plan today. No more excuses. I'm starting my modified C25K program today.

YUM: (serves 2 and is VEGAN)

Saute 1/2 yellow onion in 1 tbsp of EVOO. When translucent, add one can of white beans, 1/2 tsp of thyme, 2 minced cloves of garlic, 1/4 cup of veg broth and simmer for 8 minutes.

Transfer to blender or food processor and whip.

Take 1/2 pound of mushrooms, saute with EVOO, salt, pepper and I threw in some garlic powder because I love garlic.

Spoon whipped beans into bowls, top with mushrooms and drizzle each with 1/2 tsp sesame or truffle oil.

Sounds yummy, Anna.

I'm thinking of picking up some protein powder. Tomorrow is vacay and I'm going to be doing a lot of organizing/spring cleaning kind of things. I also have plenty of exercise on this list. Heck, I'm even planning on hitting the fitness center for some weight training!

Need a place to tell you all what has been happening that has enough space.

SO...workouts are going well, but my trainer is having serious pre-term labor. So she did another workout for me so that I have two to rotate between for a while and keep my muscles confused. The new one is fun too. I have sore calves which I have never had before.

Because the laptop was having trouble, I did not log cals the last few days, but did kind of a mental tally. Good choices overall, but we had some of my favorite, regional pizza last night while my bro was here. SERIOUS pizza hang over. Did fairly well today. My kids get almost NO candy for Easter, so that makes it easy.

Loads of preschool drama as well, but I managed to drink my way through it ;-)

I did pretty well this weekend but I'm still overeating. Not to the point to really gain but certainly not to lose with my lack of exercising.

Tomorrow I WILL go for a run. It will be a run/walk but I will do it.

I probably need to fess up and change my ticker also. I'll weigh in the morning. Not gonna be pretty.

Bah. I can't seem to stay in the groove. I even ate bruschetta this weekend after expressly forbidding myself to do that. I'll keep trying. I'd really like to get a solid 90 days on-plan.

I changed my ticker thingy to show I'm at 150. *sigh*

Deja vu, Day 1.

Exercise: Run anything over 3 miles (done)
Food:
toast, peach
black bean burrito
grapes
pad thai with tofu and veggies

I was doing a great job of staying on-plan until Paul brought home the evil coconut cake for Easter. I have no idea why anyone would think a small family of 4 needed a whole cake. Anyway, to make a long story short, the cake won. My stomach is not happy with me this morning. Lesson learned.(hopefully) I was able to move my ticker down 2 pounds. I'll take it.

Hi CHicks

Hoping everyone's holiday weekend went well. Why is it every single holiday comes with its own sweets challenge?? Or is that life....

We had dinner at my friends and it was my job to bring several of the items on the menu. I brought roasted broc, fresh bread, a pasta salad and cut fruit. But I also felt compelled to bring sweets for the kids (and hubbie- c'mon me too) for dessert. My friend is a mega healthy eater and really did not want me to bring the sweets. I didn't but took some time to reflect on why I really felt I NEEDED to.

Have an OP day chicks

Oy vey. I have gained 10lbs since the beginning of March. I'm trying not to beat myself up too much considering all that has gone on in my life the past month but still, it is not a good thing and it indicates I've not been taking care of myself.

Today:
breakfast - coffee and huge smoothie with banana, mango, strawberries, blueberries and raspberries, spinach, soy milk and flax seed
lunch - leftover Ethiopian dinner - Miser Wat, Miser Alecha, Shro Wat, String Beans in tomato sauce and Injera
Dinner - Veggie Wraps with hummus

Well I went over calories last night due to popcorn in the evening. I also didn't run due to severe cramps and my period starting. Monday = FAIL.

Let's try this again shall we?
Breakfast - coffee and steel cut oats with cranberries, walnuts and agave
Lunch - Spicy Lentil Samosas, Whole grain rice stir-fried with pepper oil, red peppers, tomatos, carrots, onions, jicama, broccoli and soy sauce.
Dinner - Veggie Wraps

Snack - trek bar

Heather -- I hope the cramps go away today!

Kitty -- mmmm roasted broccoli, I need to get some broc and some green beans next time I'm at the store!

I was on plan yesterday, yay. For some reason my husband brought home a ton of chocolate last night -- the after Easter sale chocolate. I'm just agog with amazement and horror. I made him take it all to work this morning so I wouldn't have to look at it.

On to Day 2.

Exercise: I ran 3.8 miles of high-intensity sprints first thing this morning. Glad that's done.
Food:
Toast, plum
Black bean burritos
Soup and salad

Afternoon everyone. I took two days off from the computer. I have missed it and very sad not connected.

Had my yearly pap this morning. I've only lost 5 pounds overall since last year. I am sad that I wasted an entire year gaining and losing 20 pounds. I thought he would have been more excited that I finally went veg but he wasn't. He's been trying to convince me for 7 years to make the switch. Oh well. I'm doing it for me and that is all that matters.

Easter was okay I guess. It was nice seeing the nephew since I hadn't seen him since Christmas. He is getting so big.

Off to track my calories from the last few days. I'm kinda scared.

I am losing inches with the workouts, but not a lot of poundage. Two people have commented on my shrinking midsection. I will take what I can get.

I have been making sure I have time for my strength training, but not my cardio. Cardio WILL happen tonight or I will leave Chris to put the children to bed alone. I did make it to they gym for lifting yesterday.

My house is a screaming mess. God love them, people give so many clothes to Meara, but I am trying to sort through what fits, what is not stained beyond recognition, etc. I need to get up and handle that, but I don't want to.

Curried garbanzos (no coconut milk, just sauteed with onion and spices) for lunch. heavenly...
