Rennie - sorry that you aren't feeling well. Take care of yourself - let Leslie take a break and make you some tea instead of marching you around the room :) Hope you feel better soon - let Bella be your heating pad.
Annie - have a great weekend with Dave and whomever else you might be celebrating with. Mel - I see you found another person to mentor. Be kind and gentle to them  and give me an old whack on the head :rollpin:  And have a little fun yourself, will you? I sent you an email today... Well with the toilet needing repairs it doesn't look too promising for work on the pool. I don't want to push DH but I'm afraid we're not even going to get to use it this year :( Left overs for dinner tonight - it's kind of warm outside - was hoping to get some more yard work done. I'm almost thinking I have to be Shad and get up at sunrise so I can go out when it's cool out. After all, pulling weeds and sweeping doesn't make much noise. But it might when I fall over on the ground fast asleep  Have a good weekend ladies, talk to you later. Ceejay - I was going to suggest the lemon water too. I suggested it to my boss for her Jenny Craig weigh in and she said it actually does help with the bloat. Personally I feel we are just carrying around alot of excess humidity from this funky weather lately. Have a great weekend. Geez Michelle - that's getting darn scary with the weather lately. You might be using that boat for more than fishing :yikes: Enjoy your time off and have fun with the MIL. |
*snort* happy is going to do a shad and get up early and sweep???? *snort*.
I'm off to Body balance class. Will get back on when I get back. I should have stopped laughing by then |

I'm back from gym. I'm still cackling along.
But hello everyone anyway. Ellen - 21 pounds in 10 weeks? :faint: Still I have no wish (nor any further ability) to be in your position. Life will get back to normal. It will just take some time. Happy - so sorry that poor DH got roused in the middle of the night. At least you heard it and it didn't run all night. I'll come over and make coffee for the DH - I do a real strong variety. He will be wired when we've finished. These things have a habit of breaking down when they get old. I have one that is similar. However since I will replace the loo shortly I haven't bothered to replace the seals and things. Sorry to hear that the pool will have to wait somewhat longer. Mel - yeah I did get some answers and some praise - only problem is I'm not sure which document he is talking about. I've sent so many *sigh* Glad to hear you have been having some positive time with the losing friend and with Jen. Take in some sunshine, sunshine. Michelle - isn't it annoying that you want to help and you try to help and either Mother Nature or the local cop tells you NO! Annie - have a tasty weekend with delicious Dave. Have fun and be careful. We have our tongues hanging out waiting for the details Rennie - sorry to hear that you are not feeling too good. Get better soon. Go yell at the kids, always make you feel better. Right - that's it. I have a list of things to do. I'd better go get started on them or I may still be at it when Happy is calling it quits and going to bed. So hi ho its off to work I go. Outside, heaving out the weeds that the run and sun have brought on. I could always sit on the patio and watch them grow I suppose too........ |
MICHELLE~ HARD TO BELIEVE THERE SI SO SUMCH FLOODING AND INACCESSIBLE ROADS. IN ALL MY YEARS I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS MANY. IT WAS GOOD OF YOU AND DH TO TRY TO GET THERE TO HELP. STAY SAFE

GO AHEAD AND SIT AND WATCH THE WEEDS GROW. :beach: YOU CAN ALWAYS MOVE YOUR LAPTOP AND MAKE AN OUTDOOR LAPTOP AS WELL:sunny: I GOT LOTS OF SUN THESE LAST FEW DAYS. HOPE YOU FIGURE OUT THE MYSTERY OF WHICH DODO HE IS PRAISING YOU FOR :queen: :cofdate: THIS WEEK I CLEANED OUT MY LIBRARY DOWN IN THE COMMUNITY ROOM. THE WEIGHT OF THE BOOKS IS JUST TOO MUCH FOR FOREARMS AND SHOULDERS SO IN THE END, I AM PASSING THE BUCK ALONG TO 2 SENIORS WHO WANT THE JOB. ONE OF WHICH IS MUCH MORE ACTIVE THAN I AM NOW. IT'S KIND OF A BITTERSWEET MOMENT. ANYTHING THAT COULD GO WRONG ON FRIDAY THE 13TH DID. THE DAY OF HAVOC ENDED WITH A WOMAN COMING HOME BATTERED AND BRUISED FALLING OFF A BUS. NURSE MEL CLEANED HER UP IN THE LOBBY AND HAD HELP. THANK GOD MY MAINT. MEN STAY WITH ME EVEN WHEN THERE IS NO HOPE OF OVERTIME PAY. IT'S FUNNY HOW THEY JUST "DO IT". WITHOUT A WORD WATER AND PAPER TOWELS APPEAR. GOOD LADS. PROBLEMS WENT ON INTO THE NIGHT AND ABOUT 10 I FINALLY FELL INTO BED EXHAUSTED. :cloud9: QUIET TODAY AND I AM HOPING IT LASTS!! AS A FAN OF TIM RUSSERT (AN NBC NEWSMAN) I WAS VERY SADDENED TO HEAR OF HIS UNEXPECTED DEATH AT 58. THE LAST OF A DYING BREED, TIM WAS THE GENTLEMAN OF ALL NEWSMEN. IT'S A SHAME MORE MEN AND WOMEN IN HIS PROFESSION DON'T TAKE A LESSON FROM HIM AND STOP THIS TRASHY NEWS REPORTING THAT THEY THINK IS SO SMART. WELL GIRLS....I AM OFF TO THE SHOWER I NEVER GOT TO LAST NIGHT AND CHANGE MY SHEETS AS WELL! THEN REST IS IN ORDER FOR THE WEEKEND. JEN HAS RETURNED TO THE SUMMER PLACE AND RICHIE HAS SOME TIME OFF SO THEY CAN CLEAR OUT THE OLD TRAILER AND THE NEW 40 FOOTER CAN GO IN IT'S PLACE.....QUEEN SIZE BEDS AND ALL! :cheer3: :cheer3: HAPPY SATURDAY/SUNDAY AND GOOD MORNING SUNSHINE :scooter: |
Mel
You have had a rough day. Stay in your jammies today. Happy Did you get some rain last night and early this morning? Thanks for the tip of the lemon water. That's what my aunt and uncle drink. Shad I wish I had your get up and go attitude. I've never been an early morning person. I'm on day three of my three day week end. It's back to work tomorrow for one day and then on vacation for 7. I do go to Paragould to class Monday-Wednesday for water license but after that I'm home. My aunt suggested that I come and stay with them but this is going to be to much time away from home, and I do have clogged sinuses. She is scheduled to have parathyroid surgery on Wednesday. Her body is making to much calcium. I don't want to take any chances on making her sick. to all the rest  and have a good week end. |
Good morning chicks,
I was just about to sit down and post when DH got back from the store. Need to help him fix the toilet. Will be back later. Carry on... |
Annie
I am in North East Ohio south west of Cleveland. Happy In my drug induced stupor I haven't cared much what is going on around this house lol. Bella and I have layed in bed and watched 100's of old movies lol. Shad The kids are smart enough to not be around me. They know I will make them work around the house lol. They did go out and do all the yard work for me. Melody Bella thought it was great fun. She isn't allowed on the furniture or my bed. She has been allowed to lay on my bed with me lol. |
Morning all,
Gym is done, breakfast on the patio with the Sunday paper is done, coffee is done and there is work to be getting on with, so I will take a few more minutes and chat here. I sincerely hope Annie and Happy are losing with all this exercise. I'm not. Life is not fair. Time to get back on track I think. Mel - it's not a pretty moment when you realise that what you used to do all night, now takes you all night to do. Take courage my friend and see if something else is available for you to do. Maybe cataloguing the library or something. Nice to know the guys are around for you to lean on when necessary. You are right about the newspeople today being full of trash and pithy comments that make the news somehow seem a bit demeaned. Sorry to hear of the passing of a good newsreader. Ceejay - there are times when my get up and go, gets up and just goes. I have to be a morning person because I can no longer be a night person. Otherwise I would spend the majority of the day in bed!! Good luck with the classes and the holiday. Hope you get what you want out of the education. I'm sure you will. Happy - what would you like me to carry on about. Is that loo fixed yet? I can carry on quite easily as you know :soap: Rennie - hope you are feeling better today. And with that I am about to venture out into the sun and did some more weeds from the garden, get rid of some of the rubbish, get cracking on some planning to see what is going to go in the garden this year if anything. I may well try some tomatoes in pots (I can water those with a bucket) because the price of tommies is almost sky high. This will go with the homemade bread and rolls (price of a wholemeal rolls went from 55c to 90c in less than three weeks. Just plain ridiculous. The DB2 came over yesterday to borrow some tools and smelt the fresh bread - and ate half a loaf of the stuff. Then he and the nephew came over last night to watch the footy and between them demolished an entire loaf of sourdough bread. Hmm maybe it is not so cheap to make your own after all.... DS2 managed to eat his way through about half a loaf the other night before his shower and before he went out to dinner - only to come home and announce that the bread served with dinner was not as good as mine - the rest of the loaf got scarfed down at that point. So the breadmake is on constantly - maybe it would be cheaper to buy the stuff. Okay - I'm outa here |
Evening/morning All! Had a busy, but relaxing day...went with DH and My sis and Brother to soft ball practice...I kept an eye on the kiddies, mine and our friend's, got a little sun, then went back to the shade. I brought my tea with me, so I had plenty to drink. Then we decided to throw an impromptu bar-b-que for DS and DD2 b-days. was nice, and I barely had to do anything DH and Dad cooked, then my Brother cleaned up. I have already showered, so baring any major MS, I Am all set to go to church. After that we are going to see DMIL...she does not know about the new baby, so we will tell her tomorrow. Have 911 on speed dial LOL
We heard the baby's heart beat on Fri...so much fun. And I am ok'ed for getting back to the gym, even doing some weights! I would love to go in the morning, butI need to get some work done with the kids over the summer, so I Am planning on working with them in the morning, then after lunch heading over to work out(I feel better in the afternoon anyways) and hopefully taking the kids to the pool too. I need to find some nice and easy dinners, as being in the kitchen and cooking is still difficult. well, I guess I have chatted for longer than I intended...side effect of feeling better. Later chicas! |
CEEJAY~ TOOK YOUR ADVICE AND I DID STAY IN MY JAMMIES! HOPE YOUR LAST DAY WAS A GOOD ONE TOO. SENDING GOOD THOUGHTS FOR YOUR LICENSE AND YOUR AUNT'S SURGERY.
HAPPY....SHE NEVER CAME BACK SO ARE WE TO ASSUME THE TOILET MONSTER GO HER AND DH AS WELL? :yikes:  RENNIE AND BELLA ARE SAFELY TUCKED UP IN BED FOR A MOVIE MARATHON! SHAD~I KNEW I SMELT SOMETHING GOOD!! YUM! HOMEMADE BREAD!! NO WONDER IT'S GOING LIKE HOTCAKES...ONE OF THE WORLDS MOST FAVORITE SMELLS IS BREAD BAKING IN AN OVEN. JEN AND I WERE GOING TO BUY NA BREADMAKER BUT FIGURED WE'D USE UP A YEARS SUPPLY OF DULCOLAX IN LESS THAN 3 MONTHS!  ELLEN....GOOD TO HEAR ABOUT SOME IMPROVEMENTS IN THE "FEELING GOOD" DEPARTMENT! ACCORDING TO THE WEATHER FORECAST, THERE WERE TO BE NO STORMS UNTIL TUESDAY NIGHT AND THEN ONLY A SCATTERED THUNDERSTORM. WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YESTERDAY WE HAD A WHOLE BUNCH OF THUNDER AND LIGHNING STORMS AND THEY BEGAN BEFORE 6 PM ON SATURDAY!!! :rain: TODAY IS DARK AND DREARY HERE AGAIN. WTF!! POOR JEN...I HOPE IT'S NOT RAINING FOR THE TRAILER DELIVERY! IT WAS SO STIFLING HUMID YESTERDAY THAT I WAS THE ONLY ONE OUTSIDE AND HAD THE BACKYARD TO MYSELF FOR A WHOLE 15 MINUTES BEFORE I TOO COULDN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE! :lol3: HOPE I SOAKED UP ENOUGH VIT. D :beach: TODAY IS ANOTHER JAMMIES DAY. YESTERDAY WAS FILLED WITH SMALL STUFF LIKE BURGLAR ALARMS AND NO BURGLARS, SMOKE ALARMS AND NO SMOKE.... BETTER THAN THE REAL MC COY THOUGH SO I AM NOT COMPLAINING. I HOPE ANNIE IS HAVING A GREAT WEEKEND. ANY SINGLE MOM I KNOW DESERVES ONE. HAVE A GREAT DAY CHICKLETTES! :moped: |
Good morning chicks,
I see the Wheels of Fire are back with us again. Sometimes it's nice to come back to the old and familiar stuff that makes us feel like... home. :D Toilet is fixed. Package says "whisper quiet flush" - I don't think so  Not that it's so loud it blows you out of bed, but it's not THAT quiet either. But it works fine and that's all that matters. And DH didn't tear up his back hanging over the toilet and lifting heavy parts and that's good too. Shad, not to shock you but I did get up at 6am. Took a peek outside - too early for Mr. Feral to show up looking for breakfast and it was very, very soggy outside. The night before we had drenching storms. So I saluted you and went back to bed for an hour :s: While DH was inside with the water off, I went outside and cleared all the weeds from one side of the house where the rose "garden" is located. Afterwards I told DH he had to praise me and tell me how nice it looked and thank me - just like I have to do to him  He did. He said he was telling me as he walked by on the driveway but I had my back to him and my Ipod on and I was busy singing Beatles tunes (off key he said  ) so I didn't hear him. That makes one section down, 2 huge lengths in the front of the house to go yet. We decided to take out the roses because despite Shad's advice, they just don't seem to want to grow there. So we showered up, stopped at the nursery and picked up 2 hibiscus plants. They have giant flowers on them, I prefer the breed that has smaller blooms but about this time of year, things are getting pretty picked over. We have some shrubs in the front that for some reason are dying and we also have some spirea that DH hates (he hacked it to bits 2 years ago but it keeps coming back). I think we're going to replace them with these double knockout rose shrubs (see pics below). They are much more hearty than regular roses - more a shrub with flowers that bloom from spring until the first frost. I think they will be pretty. And the cover is coming off the frog pond, um I mean pool today - so we'll see how bad it looks in there. So you're getting the muggy, stuffy weather too Mel? It's a shame to get cheated out of those few weeks of clean, gorgeous weather we call spring and float right into the summer stuff. Enjoy your jammie day. Are you still doing the pedals? I'm sorry you had to turn over the library duties. Maybe you should look at it as a transition from worker bee to boss lady. Heaven knows we need people to organize the shift crews. Shad - there is nothing that beats the taste of homemade bread. And that heavenly smell :T Nice thing about the breadmaker is that it takes care of everything for you, including the sometimes tricky getting the dough to rise - and you don't have to heat up the house with the oven on. That is crazy about the price of rolls going up so much. What is the reasoning behind that? Right now there is a big tomato scare in the United States. Certain types of tomatoes have become infected with the samonella virus. They know that it is entering the inside of the tomatoe via the spot where the vine meets the fruit but our wonderful government has not been able to figure out the source of the infection. As a result, tons and tons of vegetables are rotting and going to waste. Ours is not one of the states that has reported any outbreaks and this time of year I try to buy my vegetables from the locally grown farmers markets anyway so we should be ok. And thank you for all of your exercising. I jumped on the scale yesterday and saw a number that I haven't seen in a long while. It was fleeting (I generally bounce between 3 pounds) but it was encouraging. So your efforts on my behalf are paying off :D I would exercise for you but I'm afraid we would cancel out each other's efforts - so I'll exercise for Mel and she can pedal for you. Although my money would be on picking up the exercise machine Michelle as your virtual workout buddy  Hope you're feeling better today Shy. Ceejay - surely you don't have to take vacation time to take classes to keep up with your license? That would be wrong... vacation is precious. And yes, we got dumped on with those strong storms Friday night. We thought they would have stayed north but you must have pushed them down by us  Ellen - when it comes to quick and easy meals - I strongly suggest you take a look at www.kraftfoods.com - they also have a free magazine (I think it's published quarterly). But they specialize in 30 minute or less meals - most of them using (surprise) Kraft Foods ingredients like dressings and cheese and such. I have tried many of the recipes from the magazine and website and was very pleasantly surprised at how tasty and easy the foods were. And even with using some prepackaged ingredients, they are not all full of fat and salt like you would think. In fact, I'm about to go make up my grocery list and I am drawing a blank for ideas so I might take a gander there myself. Hello to Madcat, Carla, Holly, Ruth, Patty, Painter and Annie who I hope is having a great time with Dave this weekend. Catch you later... |

Wow, the roses are beautiful! I did not think you could grow roses that close together. Unfortunately, you don't have my bosses. I think I'm going to talk to HR and see what I can get by with. This isn't fair at all but I'm not letting my hard earned license lapse. I worked to hard to get it. Tomatoes--If they are being infected while still being on the vine, I would not put it past someone to either pee or poo on them. Just another way to get back at America. Mel Glad you took the advice and stayed in your jammies. I did not do much of anything on my three days off. I most diffinately needed some down time. Shad Yum, yum home made bread. Save me a slice or are you baking roll's, either one will do. Hello to all the rest:wave: I'm at work today. Got most evrything caught up. Found a couple of things that I need to tell my boss about. I hate leaving notes but sometimes it's a must. |
Morning all,
Gym is done, breakfast is done, coffee is done and it is time to settle down to work - darnit. Another beautiful day here. Wish I was outside like yesterday but it is not going to happen for a while. Lunch time at the earliest I guess. I spent yesterday titivating up the orchids and hanging them on the Poinciana tree. They like it there better than under the washing line!!! Well wouldn't you. I have a bright golden yellow cattelya out at the moment. I can see it from my desk - looks like a bolt of sunshine out there. Manager to get rid of some of the weeds yesterday but I'm not sure I did as much as Happy did. The DS2 had visitors and we stopped for a long chat - he has some 'interesting' friends. Not sure whether this one was a man or a woman or a man/woman - whatever he/she had a better figure than I do! I cooked up a pasta lunch, introduced him/her to plunger coffee and then carried on with my work. Had chowder for dinner and watched a bit of mindless tv then to bed. Happy - glad to hear one of us is losing something! I'll keep up the effort. Today we did 50 minutes on the treadie, clocked up 6.6km and burned off 537 calories. So hope you lose some more as well. The roses look great. How long do they take to get to the hedge size and you do realise you will need to trim the hedge?? The hibiscus sounds nice. Mel - Hope the storms managed to clear the air. Lots of problems in America this year with tornados, flooding etc. However it has had the salutory effect that George W is in London and having tea with the Queen at Windsor Castle. She managed to point out a set of armour belonging to Henry V111 - maybe she thought he should get himself some. Laura was walking with the D. of E. Wonder what gems he came out with. Not known for descretion or suffering in silence, he manages to upset most people fairly easily. It's a gift. Ceejay - don't work too hard or study too hard - just hard enough to pass the tests. Gotta go. They will be waking up in Jakarta shortly. I need to get some e-mails away so they think I am working. Catch you all later. By the way, the bread didn't last long enough to send it over. DS2 and good friend B + the he/she took care of that. I have some more cooking so come on down in about an hour or two. |
I haven't really been around the last few days. I have been in a lot of pain and I don't really feel like chit chat when this kind of pain hits. I am doing much better. Today I am just taking it easy and trying to get house work done. I have been doing my exercising but I am not counting it to wards any goals because I have because I haven't been putting my all into it. Figured moving the body was better than not moving at all. Hopefully I will be all caught up tonight with housework and laundry and start the week fresh tomorrow with exercise. Haven't had to worry about eating to much because I don't feel like eating at all lol. Good news is the lungs are doing pretty good so I am off the dreaded Prednisone. Haven't taken the pain mead Percoset all day so hopefully tomorrow my head will be clear lol.

CEEJAY~ I HOPE HR LISTENS TO YOU. SAD THAT YOU HAVE TO USE YOUR OWN TIME FOR THE LICENSE. DOWN TIME IS A GOOD THING!
SHAD~ MAYBE BUSH FEELS SAFER IN LONDON AND WILL STAY THERE! GUESS THE REASON FOR THE TRIP IS THE WAR...HE'S ASKED FOR THEM TO PULL OUT A BIT. JUST IN TIME FOR NOVEMBER'S CAMPAIGNING OVER HERE?!?! HAD A GOOD LAUGH AT THE HE/SHE  :cofdate: DARK STORMS AND BRIGHT SUN ABOUND. NEVER KNOW WHEN THE NEXT ONE IS COMING. IT'S ALL MOTHER NATURE'S WAY OF KEEPING US ON OUR TOES. NOTHING NEW AT ALL HERE....THANK GOD....I LIKE BORING. I COULD ACTUALLY DO BORING FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE! I WOULD NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT AT ALL. MY NEW FOUND WEIGHTLOSS WAS SHORT LIVED. BACK TO 185. :faint: I REALLY MUST GIVE UP TRYING TO GET INTO THE 170'S. IT'S JUST NOT HAPPENING. HAPPY MONDAY/TUESDAY :moped: |
RENNIE....SOMEHOW I DIDN'T SEE YOUR POST. HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER SOON  REST UP!
|
Hi Shad
You're on ... :chin: LATE? |
Mel - you are certainly up early this morning. I know what you mean about the 170's. You'd think that 5 dumb pounds should NOT be that difficult. :dunno: I guess it's a sign that we're getting old when boring and routine is where we want to be  Wishing you that kind of peaceful day.
Shy - sorry you've had a blown weekend. I remember those days. Glad they are long gone. About all you can do is what you did, grit your teeth and they will be over in a few days and then back around in the blink of an eye it seems :( They do say that moving around is good, of course this was said by a man who does not understand the feeling of having your guts twisted and yanked out :yikes: I daresay that George W might be over to wish Teel and happy birthday. How nice of him. Too bad there are no caves or deep ruts in the English countryside for him to go explore :s: Shad, I am sitting here giggling like mad. I can just sort of picture the look on your face of DS' newest buddy. The wheels in your brain are trying to figure out if it's a bloke or chick and only you would say it is more shapely than you  :lol3: How nice of you to introduce them to a coffee press. Too bad there was no fresh bread to offer too. :) Ceejay - as long as you are working to revalidate your license in a field THAT YOU WORK IN - would think the company would give you the time. Unless of course you work for the city or country government - which is bizzaro land at its finest. Probably not a bad idea to at least talk to HR about it. Good luck. Annie - get in here, we wanna know what happened this weekend  Michelle - did you at least get some drying weather or are you about to float over to Michigan? Not much going on by me. Yesterday was a plan meals/get groceries/do laundry and clean up kinda routine day. I feel badly that we didn't get to the Humane Society this weekend but there was just too much to do at home. I have finally noticed the horrid prices of groceries. 2 dollars a pound for apples? Tomatos were 2 pounds for 7 dollars - tell me they aren't price gouging. |
Good Morning to all the Worldly Chicks, I miss coming here and catching up but made a point to find ya all when the website had its hiccup. Hope the days are getting better for all who are in pain and not feeling their best....some days just totally feel like roll over days...MOnday mornings come to mind!!!!
This month I started taking some Alli to help boost my journey down the weight loss trail and so far so good. This getting older stuff just makes it more difficult. SO I will give this a go for a while. My mom gave us a scare last month so I made a point to make arrangements to spend next weekend with her and my sis. We are headed to the gardens in Spokane and meeting up with one of her old friends...it should be so fun and sweet. We are having a tour of the gardens from a lady who helped to make the gardens what they are today....she is the mother of a good friend. Have to make some memories while the time is still on our side... My Toby Two had a birthday yesterday..he is 3 and still such a love....My little Teeka is still alive and getting around..... so life is good. Started a new side business of doing foot care with the ionizing therapy....so far I am busy and it is very rewarding to make people feel better...... still in the beginning stage of that venture. Trying to get some plants going on my deck but last wednesday I had 3 inches of snow at my house and yesterday it was in the 80's....go figure. Take care everyone sorry I don't have time to make more personnal comments but I send warm thoughts to all. Peace, Nae |
Just a quick one for me...the time I allotted for on here, I actually helped my daughter sweep. Plans for today...Laundry, Wal-mart, then to the pool for a little while...hopefully I can get moving so it is not too late at the pool. HAve a great day all!!!

Rose
Glad you had time to spend with your mother. Happy birthday to your little one. I have heard some great things about Alli just remember, you have to lower your fat when you strop taking it because the Alli won't be there to lower it for you. Happy It wasn't really the DOT that was the problem. It is this darn ovary that is giving me problems. It gives me problems even when it isn't DOT time lol was just worse than usual for a few days. I usually exercise all through the DOT as long as it isn't to hard of one. Prices are terrible everywhere and it isn't even safe to eat produce anymore. Good thing I grow what I can. A few weekends ago I helped a friend of mine convert her balcony. Wasn't much of a balcony lol but we took the flowers out of the flower box and put in lettuce. I got her a tomato plant and a bell pepper plant and a banana pepper plant. She is all set lol. melody Thanks I am great today. The pain is gone. I am no longer in a drug induced stupor lol and my head is clear. I did a 3 mile Walk away the pounds this morning and except for a bit of soreness in the shoulders ( which is to be expected when you don't workout with weights for a few days ) I feel great. This ovary is the reason they were going to go ahead and just do a hysterectomy. Said I don't need the parts so why bother with them. NOT YET they won't lol. It was suppose to be done in Jan. I had it scheduled and everything. I am losing weight so good I am not going to let anything mess that up lol. |
Hello ladies --
Busy weekend and busy Monday. The land of cheese is finally starting to dry out, though many rivers and lakes are still over their banks. Most of the closed roads have re-opened. And thankfully, we're supposed to have dry weather for most of this week, so hopefully the waters will start to recede. I went shopping this past weekend and bought some SIZE 14 pants. Granted they have a "comfort fit" waistband that allows for an extra inch of give...But they are size 14 misses and they fit! I'm thrilled! Of course they needed ironing, so I had to wear my super baggy MC Hammer size 16 pants today. I just hope the size 14s fit after washing them. :lol3: Ellen - So glad to hear you're feeling better and have the all clear to work out. Please be careful though and don't overdo. Mel - Sorry to hear that you're having lousy weather. I hope today is boring, quiet and peaceful for you. Happy - Up at 6 am on a weekend? Who are you and what have you done with our Happy? Doing yardwork really gives such a sense of accomplishment, plus a good workout! The roses are gorgeous! I wish I could get roses to grow here....but we've had no luck as of yet. I would love to have a rose hedge like the one in your picture. Our peonies are in full bloom and our morning glories are just starting to sprout. I'm getting flowers on my tomato, cucumber and squash plants, so I'm anxiously awaiting some yummy fresh veggies! I bought tomatoes at the store, but tossed them when the salmonela scare hit. I just picked some up at the farmer's market this weekend. I've got to agree with your DH about spirea...our front walkway was lined the entire way with spirea...and I just don't like it. We ripped it out last year and put in Zonal Geraniums, which are a lovely lavender blossom and are winter hardy. Congrats on the weight loss, BTW! :woohoo: BTW, now that the pool is cleaned out, can we all come over for a :swim: ? Did you really just say $2/lb for apples? $3.50/lb for tomatoes is what I paid at the farmer's market. And $3 for one canteloupe. But the grapes were on sale for 99 cents/lb. And bananas were cheap at 57 cents/lb. Crazy. Of course, just as I am about to complain about the prices at our grocery store, my DMIL comes out with..."wow, what a bargain! That's so much cheaper than in California." I couldn't afford to live there anymore that's for sure. I just wish gas would get down below $4/gallon. :stress: Shad - I wish I were there for some of your homemade bread. I have a bread machine but haven't used it in a couple years. Your DS's friend does sound interesting. Does he/she have an adam's apple? I nearly fell over laughing when you said he/she had a better figure than you! I'm all for George W. getting a suit of armor...as long as he's wearing it when he comes to take a swim in Wisconsin's flood waters. Oh my! Did I just type that? :lol3: Rennie - Pain is just awful and can really ruin your entire mood/outlook and sap your energy. I'm glad to hear you are doing better. Take good care of yourself and don't overdo. Moving a little is better than not moving....just listen to your body. That's great that your lungs are doing better. Prednisone is no fun. I've been on it for asthma, bronchitis and pneumonia. It really turns me into a real :censored: ! :yikes: DH always says he should go away for a week or two while I'm on prednisone. Nae - So you're having good luck with alli? I'd be interested in hearing if you experience any of the side effects. That's so nice that you're going to spend time with your mom and sister. Treasure every moment. I know that I'm grateful I took the time to spend with my mom and my dad before they passed. Ionizing therapy for foot care? Not sure I'm familiar with that. Happy belated b'day to your Toby Two. and a  for Teeka. I couldn't believe it when I heard that the Rockies got snow in June! :yikes: I'm going to the gym tonight for cardio and weights, so I will be working out for myself and for whomever else needs it! :exercise: :lifter: Well, I've got to run! Here's to a great rest of the day and a wonderful week for all of us! |
Hidee Ho Ladies....
Well, it was a very nice weekend. Dave is very sweet, but for some reason it just wasn't clicking for me. The chemistry just isn't there. We had a great time. Went out with his sister and hubby Saturday night. I think I am in such an emotional state right now, I cannot connect with anyone. My dad yelled at me for not coming over to clean his shower, for one thing I didn't know I was supposed too. Jake came home for the weekend and slept on the couch because Dave slept in his room. Sam and I are sad he is going back to his dad's tonight. I worried I would have too much gas and have to toot or take a monumental crap and smell up the entire house. Stress. Sooooo.. I went to the doc today and she put me on Wellbutrin on top of my Cymbalta. Something should happen. I need to quit crying so much. I have had about 5 aniexty attacks in the past couple of weeks. I am a mess....see even when you lose weight and at goal, you just find something to replace your worries in. I was stressing about, "what if we did do the horizontal bop" I didn't want him to see my apron hanging down, my boobs sagging, and my butt cheeks wrinkly. I know, TMI. I was stressed about that, I guess I just couldn't get into him because of my brain on go. I am such a dingbat. Anyway, hello to everyone, please don't think I am a lunatic, even tho I might be. Love and hugs. |
Morning all,
Busy day in front of me today. I have a lot of reading to do - mainly about asset management - exciting hey?? At least I understand this one somewhat more than Joint Venture or Cost Accounting!!! They are still squawking about whether Payroll will feature and I have given up worrying about it. If I end up in Adelaide at the end of this week then fine, if not well fine too. Go with the flow maybe? Rennie - I hope that pain goes very shortly. Not like you to let adversity get you down. Mel - I understand your frustration with the weight loss. It is very annoying - 2 down and 3 back up. I sincerely hope Happy is keeping up with the losses because all the exercise is not doing much for me. Happy - I was on late because the DS2 got on the computer in the spare room (my other two computers are out here in the dining room) and was chatting MSN and Yahoo instant messenger at the same time (who said men can multitask?) then he came out to get something to eat and fell asleep on the couch. Nothing new there. So when I went to bed at around 10.30 I had to turn it off and flicked around to see who was doing what. I was thinking of teel the other day. I knew her birthday was coming up, and I should ring her to see how she is. If you wish, I know some caves in England that we could stash George in for a while and there is an underground sea cave in the very north of Scotland that could hide him for months and months if that is what you want. Before you say yes - consider the alternatives. Speaking of England, I think our Carla is over there at the moment. She was talking of going to dig up some relatives in June. As well as Carla being over there, a friend of mine from Maryborough is also over there, she is a prison officer in a male prison - and no she is not a she/he. She has gone over to visit the daughter and grandchild. Maybe I can get her to talk to George??? On the subject of our he/she, I knew about him/her so I wasn't particularly phased when he/she appeared on the doorstep. Nice person, but basically confused. He/she has a collection of wigs - he was blond on Sunday, so next time I will have to rcognise him/her by the feet or the watch or something. I doubt he/she will look the same. Prices are soaring all over. I notice that the price of those bread rolls are now back down to 60c - obviously people went on a bread roll strike. And I think after seeing that, we should all maybe do the same with some of the other things which are now skyhigh. Hello Nae - nice to see you. I too am trying to grow some vegs on the back porch. I bought some tomatoes and lettuce yesterday. I'll grow them in pots because I can at least water those even if I can't water the garden. Michelle - well done on the size 14's. You are doing so well. Yep you typed Georges downfall. Everything can be arranged if required. I think that Henry was about the right height, but George is a lot smaller and the cod piece would have taken up an interesting position. I was too busy trying not to laugh to figure out whether he/she had an Adams Apple. I suspect not, at least not a really noticable one or I would have been rolling on the floor  No gym for me today. Tomorrow is another story. Annie - I think that you are too emotional and stressed about things to think clearly about the relationship. Talk to the heartthrob and tell him that you are confused and want to take things slowly because you are not sure where you are with the relationship. No point in trying something and then getting upset because it fails. Better to be sure on what you want than jump right in. As for the baggy bits of you - do you not think he may have some saggy bits as well? Life does take its toll even on men - although admittedly not quite as devastingly but then they don't have the babies. If you get the urge, turn the lights off or use candles, they are much kinder to us oldies. Drat that last sentence, now I will have MEL and Happy asking me how I know. Along with the veg I bought yesterday, I purchased two new roses to replace the drought dead Just Joey and Princesse di Monaco. One is called Fragrant dream - salmon-orange floribunda bush rose and supposedly very fragrant and Fragrant Plum - a standard purple/ lilac monster also supposedly very fragrant. So they will need to go in the ground today as well. And off I go to see if I can achieve some good stuff today. See ya |
Hi just popping in to say hello. I had a busy day. drove to Paragould to class. I really like this teacher. I've had him a couple of times before.
Happy I do work for the city and since there are only 4 water treatment operators my boss thinks he doesn't have the man power to let me off. I decided to take the vacation time so I wouldn't have to take the internet course. After talking to my instructor today I've decided that I am diffinately going to go for my Enviromental Degree. It will be an Associate of Science Degree and only 60 credit hours. This is all internet classes. |

My hubby is a bit luckier lol. I don't talk to anyone when I am on the meads. I don't feel like being social, chatting or anything else. I do what I really have to do and then sit and work on a hook rug or read or watch tv. Problem is I don't take care of my old dears. I don't do all the things that I love to do but take energy. annie I am sorry you are having a hard time. Anxiety attacks are no fun at all. They are even harder for people to understand that don't have them. Might not help you but I know it sure helps me to sit and write myself letters. Let it all out. Go over things that are going on. Once you have done this you can let it go. It never helps to keep things with us. Baggage should be for trips not for life. Writing it down gets it out in the open. We can see it and deal with it. Sorry things weren't what you wanted with this guy. There are many people out there looking for someone. I swear I know tons of people who have met their spouses in the most unusual places. Shad I set limits for myself. Pain is one of the things I set limits for. If I let it get me down I would have been bed bound years ago lol. This was pretty bad but it is over as far as being bad. I am great today. Have even done my workouts lol. |
well :censored:
We took the tarp off the pool this evening. At some point the liner slid out from under it's supports and slid into the pool. Half the water in the pool leaked out, the liner shifted and is ruined. We are talking mega bucks to replace and repair. Last month the car, this month the pool. I don't want to see July. And given this is the height of the heat season, I'd say there's no way we'll get anyone out until the fall. Sure didn't need that kind of expense. So I'm rather bummed right now. And I have a headache. DH said we should just pave it over and turn it into a glorious flower garden. Trouble is, whatever we'd have to do to change it out would probably cost as much as a new pool. Ah well... Annie - I'm sorry there were no sparks with Dave. But perhaps you've gained a friend instead. It's interesting what you say about the weight loss not fixing all woes. Guess we'll always find something to fret about. And we forget to remember that people like us for being US, not some telephone throwing, hungry, angry wisp of a super model that flicks on the diva button at the snap of a finger. I'd rather be the comfy slipper than the stilletto. Good to hear you're back to snuff Shy. Hang on to those ovaries - painful or not. One day the doc will tell you - yep - they are probably all dried up and withered by now. I can't look at a dried up raisin without feeling a pang in my hipbones  Whoo hoo on the size 14s Michelle - WOWIE KAZOWIE - you should be so proud of yourself!!! 22 to 14 is quite a leap there. Flaunt it baby! Congratulations Ceejay - I think pursuing a degree in that field is a fantastic idea. Especially considering where the world is headed. Good luck to you! Shad - by all means show GW the caves  I didn't know Carla was travelling again. I think today is Teel's birthday. For once the card may have gotten overseas on time. Tho I had to add quite a few small stamps to the card - postage has increased since the last international stamp I had. I would have sent you the roses we dug up but the food and pest arm of the government would probably frown on those things. DH is excited the spent hibiscus blooms fall right off so it's one less thing for him to do in the garden. Oh foo - didn't realize it was so late and I didn't sleep well last night so sleep deprivation here I come. And I still have to change the sheets on the bed. Might not get back in the morning, tah for now, sorry I couldn't get personals to all... |
:nono: HAPPY :rollpin: WHAT ARE YOU DOING UP SO LATE LAST NIGHT! I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT THE POOL THOUGH. SEEMS LIKE THIS YEAR IT'S ONE THING AFTER ANOTHER. 2008 IS TURNING OUT TO BE VERY COSTLY FOR A LOT OF PEOPLE. HOPE THE SOLUTION IS NOT TOO EXPENSIVE. GROCERIES HERE ARE THE SAME. SO FAR SO GOOD BUT JUST VERY PAINFUL EVERY MONTH. GOOD LUCK! SO SHAD.....WHAT IS THIS ABOUT DARKENED ROOMS AND CANDLES??? NOW HOW WOULD YOU KNOW AND WHO WAS IT?? OR HOW MANY WhO'S ARE THERE? ONE IN EVERY TOWN? OR ON EVERY PROJECT? SO IS THIS WHAT YOU DO WHEN YOU CAN'T GO TO THE BEACHES BECAUSE OF GIANT CROCS SUNBATHING? Hmmmmmm AND HERE WE WERE FEELING SORRY FOR YOU STUCK IN TOWNS WITH NO COMPANY! I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER   GETTING READY FOR FOOD SHOPPING. I REALLY NEED TO DO SOME LAUNDRY THIS WEEK. BUT WHEN I GO DOWNSTAIRS, EVERYTING GOES HAYWIRE. I SHOULD TAKE THE WASH WITH ME AND STICK IT IN THE MACHINE BEFORE ANSWERING ANYONE'S QUESTIONS! THAT'S THE PLAN FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK. THE KIDS NEW TRAILER IS COMING TODAY. HOPEFULLY THINGS GO AS PLANNED. LOOKS LIKE THE WEATHER IS CLEAR TILL THE NEXT STORM FRONT ANT THAT IS NOT TILL LATE TODAY. LAST NIGHT'S STORM WAS ANOTHER DOOZY! SATURDAY A HUGE BBQ GRILL WAS DELIVERED AS A FATHERS'S DAY GIFT. SEEMS LIKE "SANTA DAD" IS ON A ROLL :hohoho: I AM WONDERING WHAT IS NEXT. :faint: I AM SURE IT IS THE SALE OF THE FAMILY HOMESTEAD AND THE DEPARTURE FOR FLORIDA WITHIN THE NEXT YEAR OR SO. HOPE RICHIE IS PREPARING HIMSELF FOR THIS. OK GALS...I AM ON MY WAY TO SHOPRITE. HAPPY TUESDAY/WEDNESDAY :moped: |
Good Morning Ladies......
It WILL be a better day today. Shad...thank you for the pep talk. It does help. and you are right. I absolutely love roses, especially pink ones. Aren't they hard to grow and need a lot of attention? That is what I have always heard, is it true? Rennie...Thank you for the reminder to write things down. I used to do that, but got out of the habit. Happy...we had an in-ground liner pool when married. It was a major PIA. In the 16 years we lived there, we had one major underground leak and then two new liners. Can you say EXPENSIVE?? Diyana...Wooowhooo! What a great NSV...size 14, you go OH GODDESS OF EXERCISE! Congrats. MEL...the doc gave me wellbutrin to go along with my cymbalta for a while til I get out of this rut. Also a script for Xanax. I should be good to go... ;^) Ceejay...Howdie!! Here is to a great Tuesday and have a lovely day. Hello to everyone. Love and hugs. |
Happy Tuesday ladies -
I went to the gym last night for 45 minutes of treadmill and 30 minutes of circuit training. It felt so good. The exercise goddess in me is back! I won't make it to the gym tonight, but I'll be going for a walk today at lunch since tonight we're going to a baseball game - DH got tickets from his work. I'm wearing my size 14 slacks today! :woohoo: My numbers on the scale aren't moving as fast as I'd like them to...but it was AWESOME to shop in the Misses section and find clothes that fit. Thank you all for your support and congratulations! :) Annie - I'm so sorry you felt very stressed out when Dave was there. It's so important in a relationship to be able to relax and feel comfortable and be who you are. Does Dave know about your surgery? If so, then you can gently mention the sometimes smelly side effects. I'm sure he'd understand. I also totally agree with what Shad said, take things slowly with Dave. Be honest about your feelings. He seems like a great guy who would totally understand. As for baggy bits, a woman who works at my gym lost nearly 200 lbs with bariatric surgery. She looks wonderful and says she feels great! She doesn't wear short sleeves, but she showed me the extra arm skin she has. She said her abdomen has much more extra skin. But she's chosing not to remove the excess skin as anyone who would be seeing it (as in a romantic partner) had better love her as she is, even with her excess skin and "baggy bits" as Shad calls them. BTW, Rennie's suggestion about letting out your feelings in writing has been very helpful for me too. Know that we are all here for you anytime you want to vent some anxiety. Shad - As for George's downfall....unless we can do a George and Dick double-whammy , we might be better staying status quo until the new pres is inaugurated. Of course, DH fears that the current administration will do something horrendous like invade Iran just before the November election so that people will be to afraid to elect Obama. CeeJay - Great decision about taking vacation time to take the course. It's a shame that your boss won't let you have the time off without using vacation time. But it's important to you to keep your license current...so YGG! I also applaud you on going for your Environmental Degree! Good for you! Happy - I'm so sorry to hear about the pool! Sheesh, you've sure had some expensively bad luck lately. I love your analogy about the shoes...I'm totally the comfy slipper. Well, ladies, today is an incredibly busy day with big deadlines. I'd better get to it pronto. Here's to an enjoyable day for all of us! Love and hugs, |
Patty - I hope Blackie is continuing to do well. to you and to Blackie.
|
Wow you ladies posted a bunch!!! I will try to be back later to post...but for now I have to get ready for the gym...wish me luck...think I will stick to the treadmill and see how I do!

I am glad things have turned around for you. You just keep in mind how far you have come. The scale might not change as fast as you would like it but so many other things have changed. Look at the size you are wearing, look at how you enjoy to exercise. Look at the smile on your face. There are more important things than the scale. annie When we bought this house there was a pool. I had it taken down and we got rid of it. I thought about getting a new pool. We just put new wood floors in some of the rooms. I told the kids, " Now you know you have never been allowed to wear shoes in the house. That has always been a rule since you were born. You are to NEVER wear shoes now. I don't want my new floors all messed up. You are only going to be living at home a few more years. Those floors will last forever." I was thinking about having a pool put in. Not a huge expensive one, just one of those blow up ones about 20 by 20. What do I see yesterday? My son and his friends tromping through my house on my new floors with their shoes on. I said, THAT'S IT. You can't even take your shoes off how on earth can you take care to not mess up a pool. There will be no pool. Once again, I am the worst mother in the whole wide world lol. Melody If it were this painfull every month I might opt for the surgery. If I had 3 month DOTS more than once a year I still might opt lol. Generally things are fine. I am not going to let them cut me open ( he said he wouldn't say that wouldn't happen, he thought it wouldn't but it might ) when I am losing weigh so well and I am not in horrible pain every month. I don't think people eat in NYC lol. The stores seem to be less crowded in my neck of the woods. I don't think people are eating much around here either. I knew things couldn't keep going so well lol. After ( 4 weeks ) of being on Prednisone and a couple of other meads ( 6 weeks ) the scale ( I got a new scale ) showed no weight loss but no weight gain and yet the clothes were not fitting quite the same. My last two weigh In's were at home on my new scale. I got the answer this morning. I had to go to the doc again and there it was 6 pounds gain. My new scale is 6 pounds off. I weighed myself before I went and it said 140 I did my weigh in at the docs and it said 146. I am not upset about this. I know that was not reasonable to think I was on a few meads for a few weeks with no weight gain at all. I can handle the weight gain from the meads. The meads are gone again and the weight will come back off. I have to stop back in tomorrow for some prescriptions they, of course, didn't give me. I really should check shouldn't I. So I will do another weight in then and change my ticker. I really am sorry this is going to mess up red teams weigh In's. I have come a long way. Those very same said meads put 80 pounds on me and I was at the end of my leash. I was not only not healthy physically but mentally I was a mess. Now I can just smile and know it will come back off and not let it get me down. Think I am going to stick to weigh In's every two weeks at the docs office. I am better off that way. I was ranting about how this scale was right on when I got it and now it is 6 pounds off. My son said. "It wouldn't hurt it if we tryed to weigh my boxing bag on it would it?" HEAVY SIGH. I said what did you do drop the darn thing ( has to weigh at least 400 pounds ) on the scale? He said, " Well Mom that darn thing is heavy, it took two of us to get it on the scale." |
Diyana....Dave does not know about the the surgery. It is kind of a hard thing to tell someone who is not aware of it all along. Well for me it is. You are right about loving me for me, baggy bits and all, it is just my head that won't stop thinking it. Thanks Michelle...
|
Ellen - Best of luck on the treadmill. :)
Rennie - Thank you for your kind words. I have come a long way. I'm thrilled that I enjoy exercising. I also thrilled that I feel better now than I did in my 20s. And I'm ecstatic that I'm able to shop for pants in the Misses section. The number on the scale will come down eventually. As for your slight gain...6 lbs after weeks on Prednisone is not bad at all. That should come off quickly now that you are off of it. Annie - I understand that it has to be hard to discuss the surgery. Especially if they have no idea of what you were going through before the surgery and all your thoughts/emotions leading up to the surgery. I think if you were to choose to have a relationship with Dave or anyone, you should tell them. It was a big decision in your life that has made you the healthy woman you are today, regardless of the occasional embarassing side effect. I think you should be so proud of being brave enough to go through with the surgery and dramatically change your lifestyle, which has resulted in your losing weight beyond your goal. I know I don't have that kind of courage. YGG! And as Shad said, we all have baggy bits. And dim lighting does wonders to help us feel comfortable about getting close to someone or to use your words, doing the horizontal bop! |
Morning all,
Gotta put in another long day today to get up to speed. I'm running behind. Today I shall suffer the joys of the General Ledger. It's supposed to be a short course - ha ha  Never known an accounting course that used 3 words when they could use 10. Finished Fixed assets last night and the consultant is looking at it now. Expect to see it coming back with green pen all over it - well metaphorically and electronically speaking of course. I'm taking great delight in removing the TFG's name from all over these documents. He really never wrote them. Just formatted and updated them for one of the projects but I'm happy that his name will not be around for the rest of the documents life. Speaking of the TFG - he is in Canberra at the moment working with my wee roosters from TVille days. One of them is his boss. I'm still not over laughing about it. Mel - I read a lot of crap books!!!! That's how I know. Candles do do a lot for the older skin, however Annie and you and I must come to terms with our own saggy baggy bits in our own ways. Get a vibrator woman - you are living vacariously through your imagination and my imaginery doings! :lol3: If the old guy decides to sell his house, I will decide that he is going senile. The markets for selling are not good right now. No point in selling below price. I guess NYC holds its prices fairly well but even so, he should hang in there for a bit. The BIT will have to hang in there for Florida. She can wait. Happy - so sorry to hear about the pool. One durned thing after another. I hope you can find a reasonable solution to the problem and one that doesn't hurt the DH either physically or financially. I guess you both feel a bit low at the moment. Hears some  for both of you  Thanks for the thought of the roses, but customs, immigration and agriculture at the airport would have been a bit sad about them. Not worry. If they weren't doing anything, they were fairly useless. Roses are often a bit weird around humidity and damp. Mine do better in the winter than the summer. Upside down world I live in. Annie - my roses and my orchids thrive on neglect and drought. Roses are actually very drought hardy. Yes they require some work from time to time, and they aren't the nicest bushes or shrubs to look at, but it is all worthwhile when you go out there one morning and find Mr Lincoln rose has opened 2 buds while you were sleeping and the fragrance beats coffee for lightening the heart. I only grow roses with fragrance. I don't like the store bought, long stemmed, semi opened buds that have no scent and only look like a rose should if everything in the garden was perfect. I have about 15 roses in my rose bed and all but two or three of them has a different shape, size and fragrance. Got sucked in on those because I liked the colour and the tag said they were lightly fragrant, but I can't smell anything. When they kark it, they will be replaced with the fragrant varieties - if I am still around then I mean. Most of my orchids have fragrance as well. I had a blind friend for whom I took great delight in planting a fragrant garden and I have just carried on the tradition in the next house and the next one. Just remember we, none of us are perfect. Not even the roses. If you close your eyes and go back where life was good, it can still be just as good, it's a mind game. I don't think you should give up on it yet. Michelle - well done on the clothes size. You and I are wearing the same size, althought the American size 14 is not the same as an Aussie size 14 - so I found out when I was over there. Glad to hear you are drying out. I don't promise to do much about Dick. He is rather deadly with his hunting rifle. I'll see if the sea cave at Durness is vacant this summer. Rennie - the scales are just plain mean. That's why we should rely on the fit of our clothes for guidance more than the number on the scale. Still it is very annoying that the scale does not weigh right even if it does have a great weight dropped on it. Silly boys. Ceejay - hope those classes are going fine. I've got to admire your spirit in doing them during vacation time. Hope you get the recognition you deserve from them. And with that I'd better get on with the day. Washing, planting the roses, and then on to work. No gym today - second day of my two days off a week. Back tomorrow to thump out those weights again. See ya |
