Just a quickie for me today...no flooding around me, but some farther up north towards WI. Thankfully just regular thunderstorms, not too much wind...so no tornado warnings. Both yesterday and today have been sunny. Will try to make it to the gym tomorrow as I am feeling better, will just take is slow, as everything tires me out!! Later chicas!

One of the reasons I don't want food in their rooms is that I DON'T want the animals to find it lol. The animals eat their own food and that is all the food they are allowed. I don't spend a ton of money on them good dog food for the kids to let them eat junk lol. Nice going on the walking. |
Rennie - I totally agree with you about animals finding food in other rooms. It's not healthy for them.
Ellen - Glad you're feeling better and that you didn't get any rain damage or storm damage. Listen to your body and take it slow at the gym. |

I did a happy dance. Matt did arrive yesterday. Everything is working. YIPEE. No more algebra calculations for awhile. Doing algebra hurts my brain. Ellen Take it easy. It's almost vacation time for me and I'M ready for it. I need some time away from this plant. My wish is to be around my sisters again, but that will not happen for awhile. I'll be going to a seminar type thing to get class room hours for my water license. It's time to get things in order for the next operator. 1 hour and it's home sweet home. |
Morning all,
The sun is shining brightly and all is well with the world. I have spent some time out in the sun this morning with a book and picked up some lovely Vit D and now I guess it is time to go to work. Oh yes and I went to the gym this morning and did a full weights/ resistance work out. Happy should now feel less puffy since 'WE' have done triceps, biceps (40Kg), lifts (30KG), back extensions, crunches (120) sit ups, chest press (40Kg) leg press and calf press (90Kg) chin ups, hip lifts, (our own weight) pec fly and a stint on the treadie at 8km per hour up and down hills. I sincerely hope this will meet with Her Maj's requirements :queen: and oh yes WE did a stint on the balance ball with weights and some push ups. One of us better lose something since WE are having problems with the push ups. I don't do lunges so you have been spared that. Michelle - I saw some of those houses swimming off down the river of muddy water on the news last night. It may be fashionable to live right on the water, but I think we need to start thinking about houses that move up and down with the tides. Apparently the Dutch have some of these. Saw them on a building program last week. Glad to hear that you are not affected by the weather. Sit tight and keep dry. Annie - glad to hear that you may be getting a little relief from the rain and drying out somewhat. We are here too. Rennie - keeping cleaning them there windows. My house is small. Don't have too many to do, but don't do them often anyway. Guess I am plain darn lazy. Yell at the kids to stop them arguing. I remember mine driving me crazy some years back and I dropped an entire dinner set on the floor. That soon shut them up. They were ready to go get the Wedgewood and put it in a safe place. Happy - hope your mum does come round to moving in before too long. However you will find that she can't do without an awful lot of stuff! Hope DH is feeling less pain now. When do you go back to get the car? Mel - take care in that awful weather you are getting. Glad to hear you have got the groceries and don't need to go shopping for a while - although the shopping malls might be the place to cool off. Have they fixed that aircon in the hall yet? Sunday is never far away from underfoot. At the moment she has commandeered the chair I was sitting in outside. She can see me but she's given up looking for more food for the moment. Little sausage has put on some weight and a big fur coat. She is too hot to cuddle for long. Ceejay - Algebra put me off any form of maths. I have great admiration for anyone who can work it out. Geometry was more my style, but none of it was great for me. Which makes me wonder how I produced someone who loves maths and statistics. When are you on leave?? Okay - time to move it to the other computer and get on with the joys of Joint Venture accounting and a few other nasties. I'll produce something out of this - I swear I will in spite of everything that is stupid around here. |

A WILD AND WOOLY STORM BLEW THE 90'S AWAY AND IT'S GORGEOUS OUTSIDE. VIOLENT WINDS HELPED IN GETTING THE AIR QUALITY WARNINGS LIFTED THIS MORNING AS WELL. WHAT A LIGHT SHOW!! ONE OF THOSE EERIE STORM FRONTS. THICK LOW CLOUDS WITH BRIGHT LIGHTNING STREAKING OUT THE BOTTOM AND EVEN BRIGHTER LIGHTS BEHIND THE CLOUDS. A REAL SHOW STOPPER. THE ONLY DRAWBACK WAS THAT I OPENED THE WINDOW LIKE A FOOL AND GOT HIT IN THE FACE AND EYES WITH SAND! :yikes: WHAT, MY FRIENDS, WAS I THINKING??? NOT THINKING IS THE ANSWER! BUT IT WAS A SIGHT TO BEHOLD NONETHELESS! HAPPY WEDNESDAY/THURSDAY:moped: CEEJAY...VERY HAPPY TO HEAR THAT YOU CAN EVEN DO ALGEBRA!! MY HAT IS OFF TO YOU...ONE OF THE SUBJECTS I FAILED IN HIGHSCHOOL! SO GLAD MATT ARRIVED :cheer3: SHAD...SUNDAY IS JUST KEEPING AN EYE ON YOU LEST YOU GET THE SUITCASES OUT AGAIN! SO IS IT THAT YOU ARE EXERCISING AND HAPPY WILL LOSE THE WEIGHT? IF THAT IS CORRECT...THEN PUT ME DOWN FOR SOME CARDIO AND BALANCE BALL. I'LL DO MY OWN PEDALS :ebike: BUT I REALLY MUST SAY...NICE EXERCISING!! :ENCORE: |
I KNOW THIS IS A DAY EARLY BUT I MIGHT BE WORKING TOMORROW AND FOOD SHOPPING.
http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m...thday/0086.gif HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR ANNIE ON THURSDAY AND MAY ALL YOUR WISHES COME TRUE THIS YEAR!! ESPECIALLY THE "SECRET" WISHES!! :hb: :gift: |
Good morning chicks -
Hey Mel - there's this thing in the window called glass that lets you look THROUGH it to see the storm. Actually I peeked out the door the other night - the smell of the rain soaked air is just grand. Thank you for working hard for me Shad - just the push I needed to get the forward momentum going myself. Mom got home safely even tho the clod next to her spilled his whole cup of ice all over her. When she was brushing away the cubes from her feet on the floor he chastised her and said - it's ONLY water lady. I said she should have slapped him in the face and said - it's only a LOVE tap honey. He probably doesn't realize that it's so easy to slip on ice on the floor and at her age, you need to be very careful about those things. Not to mention sitting with wet clothes on a cold plane. Other than that it was a quick flight and everyone was helpful, everything went well. We are all now adjusting to things being a little off kilter as we get back into our own routines. I'm running short of time this morning so I apologize for not leaving more personals - will get back later today. Have a good hump day ladies! |
Happy mid-week ladies --
I picked up my car yesterday - the bill came to $800, but it runs great and the rest of the car is in great shape so I should be good to go for several years now. Annie - I hope none of the flooding in Indiana is near you! I hope you're staying safe and dry. We're supposed to get big storms tomorrow and Friday, which is not good news for the folks trying to clean up after last weekend. A big early Happy Birthday to you! How nice that BF will be staying with you to celebrate your birthday weekend! Ellen - I hope you are safe and dry too. I haven't seen news reports of lots of flooding in Illinois, but with all the rain and rivers and lakes going over their banks or breaking through dams, there's got to be some flooding in the Land of Lincoln. Mel - I'm glad you got your food shopping done. Hot and muggy weather with no A/C is no fun at all. Hope you were able to relax and cool down afterward. Sorry that you had bad storms, but at least they took away the bad stinky air and the hot temps. We've got lovely weather yesterday and today following our bad storms. CeeJay - I'm glad to hear everything is working now that Matt has arrived. Where is the seminar you're attending? I hope you enjoy your time away from the plant. Shad - Good for you for going to the gym. Sounds like you got an AWESOME workout! I'm going tonight to do cardio and weights. Now Happy will have no excuse to be puffy. For pushups, I do them against the wall. Still an awesome upper body (chest, tricep, etc.) workout, but you don't have to support your whole body weight as with floor pushups. That's interesting that the Dutch have built houses that move up and down with the tides. I wonder if that's an automatic cyclical thing or something that can be manually controlled during times of heavy downpour. Happy - I'm glad to hear that Mom got home safe, even if she did have to sit next to a idiotic jerk! She should've smacked him upside the head. Well, I've got to get going...super busy day ahead and I'm going to try for a 1/2 hour or hour long walk at lunch! |
Morning ladies! Today will be a little warmer than yesterday, so I am going to try to get to the gym this morning and get the kids swimming. I will probably just sit in a chair and get some knitting done. we will see...Yesterday was such a nice day I spent the afternoon outside laying on a blanket. The girls spent some time with me, then went off bike riding. HAve to get moving...will check back in later.
|
Good Morning Everyone........
Firstly, thank you for all the early BD wishes. You girls sure make my life better. Diyana...Was watching the news and saw that Wisc. got hit hard on the storms, so glad you are alright. Rennie...way to go on the walking....good job. UPS...glad you are feeling better and getting to the gym. Take it easy tho. MEL...what the heck on the bus ride. I thought busses were air conditioned. Its a wonder you didn't have a heart attack. Ceejay...you certainly deserve a vacation. What ya gonna do on vaca?? Shad...you are moving right up there on exercise with our exercise Goddess Diyana. You go girl. Ok....the old bf sent me a teddy bear from the Vermont Teddy bear company yesterday. Embroidered on the front it said "Dave" on the back it said, "I am your birthday bear". How cute was that? TODAY, I received the biggest boquet of flowers ever. It has day lillies, roses, sun flowers, carnations, some kind of blue flowers and some purple anise smelling flower, greenery with bud things on it, oh so gorgeous. I am a bit freaked out by all the kindness, not used to it. and tomorrow is actually my bd. Hello to everyone. Love and hugs. |
Ellen - glad you are able to get to the gym....make sure you take it easy.
Annie - that's so sweet of your BF! Very, very thoughtful! |
annie
That was a wonderful surprise. How nice of him. I am feeling lazy only walking 4 miles a day. I know I had to back off because of the knees but I still feel lazy lol. di wow 800 dollars. My gosh I don't think my first car cost 800 dollars lol. Not so bad since the car will last for years now. Happy Things will sure seem different for you now. It will take a little time to get use to her not being here. I am glad she got home safely. Shad What a great workout you go girl. I have found I can hit a kid with a shoe anywhere in the house lol. Now remember we are talking my children are almost 18 and 21. They never argued like this when they were little lol. Melody I am the wicked mother of the west today. WE are cleaning house. Well, WE are cleaning the down stairs. You would think I was making them dig a 10 foot ditch when I said furniture is going to be moved and cleaned under lol. |
Hello ladies,
Annie - What a great surprise! Teddy Bear and flowers... hum.. Diyana - Yikes, $ 800 is alot, BUT you now have a safer vehicle to protect you and your love ones and that makes it all the worth... Shy - crack that whip!! clean this house... My job as a kid was to dust the furniture...I can still make furniture shine... UPS - hope you enjoy your day.. Shad - good workout.. Ceejay, Melody, Happy:goodvibes My baby boy (dog) is doing better, taking it one day at a time. BUT I do know for sure, NO MORE people food, unless it's something like chicken... No more fries, or a taste of a burger.... |
Good morning all,
And since it is Thursday here, Happy Birthday Annie. One thing about living in different places around the world is that you get to celebrate your birthday over a longer time period. http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...erbirthday.jpg Well I am downunder. Can I help it if you see me upside down? Michelle - good news on the car. $800 is a lot to pay and reminds me of why I tend to turn my cars over frequently. Only buy new and try to get rid of them within 4 years. I'm due for another now, but haven't plucked up the courage to annoy the car salesmen yet. I get very tired of 'isn't that a pretty shade of pink?' and the ensuing retort of 'I'm not into pink, tell me about petrol consumption, how often the timing chain needs replacing, does it have abs and how many of these gadgets will actually be on the car if I buy it.' Things being the way they are now over here, we should start seeing some good bargains happening soon. Hiya Patty - glad to hear the dog is improving. You are right they should not eat a lot of the food we humans eat - mind you neither should some of the humans!!! Rennie - my kids drove me crazy with their bickering when they were kids. Now they are the best of friends and keep in touch better than I do. Which reminds me, I should ring the DS1 today. Ellen, go to the gym, but take it easy pluh leeeeeeese. Oh okay, re reading it, you are going to knit - the kids are going to swim. Happy - pity Mum is a gentle person. I would have suggested that since he was obviously fitter than me he might like to open the window and fly all by himself or did he need a push?. Or words to that effect. Not realise her age?? Not realise the possible problems or distress that water could have caused? Not care more likely. Have a good day at work. I might even get some more done myself today. Mel - do I have to come and beat some sense into you. Mind you I probably would have done the same myself. I love to go out on the verandah and watch the thunder and lightning and to hear the rumble of rain on the roof and ground. Nothing much else happening around here. Time to go get breakfast, hang out the washing and go shower and get ready for work. Glad you all enjoyed the workout. |
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e6...pybirthday.gif Annie
Hope the day is as wonderful as you are! :hb: :celebrate: The teddy bear was so sweet - seems Dave put a lot of thought into it and seems to want you to remember which present he gave you  Have a great day to celebrate you :hat: |
Hello ladies,
Loved the bear and the upside down comment Shad! You are very clever. :D Did you get much work done? I started out slow but finished with a bang - there's alot of scurrying going on due to the battery of emails I sent out today questioning the numbers. Like you, I did better in Geometry too. Algebra, specifically Business Algebra drove me out of college one semester. Took me 6 years to get back to school again - so great was the fear  Although in my job now I have to use the maths - sometimes I get it, sometimes I need help, sometimes I just have my own way of figuring it out! Yes Patty- as adoring as the little beggars may look, it's probably best to stick with their own food. Maybe we'd be better off if we had people food in cans like they do. Duck everyone - Shy's cleaning and she'll put you to work if she sees you idle. LOL Michelle - hope that's the end of the car stuff after such a large investment. But worth it if the car is very dependable. Good thing you are on a hill. I can't ever remember Wisconsin getting that much rain. They are playing the clip of the lake house on Lake Delton falling into the water. I wondered about people who build on the Mississippi that often floods, but Lake Delton??? You had a very snowy winter too, didn't you? Stay warm and dry. Guess you can't even plant yet if everything is soggy. Hey Mel - while you're out, can you pick up a few things for me too? Glad to hear you got some cleaner air - enjoy it while it lasts. When's the vacation Ceejay? It's late - I have to get to bed. Good night to all of you already sleeping and to those just starting the day. |
:hb: CAME TO WISH ANOTHER FAST HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR ANNIE!! I LOVED THE POST ABOUT THE BF'S THOUGHTFUL GIFTS!! WOW!! THIS GUY IS A KEEPER. KEEPING MY FINGERS CROSSED THAT IT ALL WORKS OUT! :gift:

ONE MOTOR IS MORE THAN THAT AND I HAVE ONE ON EACH SIDE!! :lol3: :lol3: MAYBE MY INSURANCE COMPAANY WOULD BE BETTER OFF BUYING ME A MANUAL CHAIR AND HIRING A NICE MUSCLE BOUND MAN TO PUSH ME! :belly: HOW GOES YOUR GETTING ON TRACK? THINKING OF YOU  PATTY~ PEOPLE FOOD ALMOST DID MY FRIEND'S DOG IN ALSO. GLAD THINGS ARE GETTING BACK TO "NORMAL". RENNIE.....TOTE THAT BARGE....LIFT THAT BALE!!:rollpin: ELLEN~ TAKE CARE AT THE GYM. ARE YOU ALLOWED TO SWIM ALSO IN A PUBLIC POOL? STAY WELL FRIEND! I GOT UP EARLY AND WAS READY IN A FLASH FOR SHOPPING. THE BUS WITH THE A/C IN IT IS FIXED. THE OTHER A/C UNIT IN MY REGULAR BUS IS KAPUT THEY THINK. IT'S BEEN REPLACE AND REPAIRED MANY TIMES BUT NO DICE. SO WILLY WILL USE THIS OTHER BUS FOR THE SUMMER. I WAS NOT AS PREPARED AS I SHOULD HAVE BEEN FOR THE HEAT. THERE WAS NO EXCUSE EITHER. WE ALL HAD PLENTY OF WARNING...JUST LAZY! SO I FILLED THE FREEZER WITH TV DINNERS, MEATS AND VEGGIES. I AM READY FOR THE NEXT ONE:flame: I AM OFF TO THE LAND OF COUPONS AND CASH REGISTERS! HAVE A GREAT THURSDAY!! :moped: |
Just a quick drop-in to wish our Annie a
VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! and a terrific weekend with Delicious Dave. Happy, didn't you know - they do have people food in cans! Potato chips in cans, cake frosting comes in cans, even baba au rum can be bought in cans! Mel, happy shopping. Stay away from the goodies in cans!!! :lol3: Shad, has DS continued to keep things clean? Has he introduced the new lady to mom yet? ;) Gotta go, soon I'll be running late yet again and it's just too muggy out there to rush.  to all the chicks I've missed. |
Delicious Dave
Folks, I think we have a winner here. And I didn't even realize we were having a "give Annie's old BF a cool nickname" contest  I will never be able to look at Pringle's canned potato chips (crisps for you Shad) the same way again! Then again there is canned potted meat (what duh heck is dat???) and the ever popular SPAM spiced ham. :p :barf: :p :barf: :p :barf: Think I'd rather eat Alpo or Fancy Feast but I think I'll stick on my course of eating what I can pull out of the ground ;) Nice morning talk, eh? Now that I've ruined your appetite, happy shopping Mel. Sorry :o Carry on fine ladies... Happy Birthday Annie - I'll skip the cake but save me a drink :hat: |
Oh and Michelle - I REALLY like your new avatar!
Do you think the whole website developement bandwagon has sort of petered out? I have a relative that's into it commercially in NYC and even he's having a tough time. |
Happy Thursday ladies --
and HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ANNIE!! More big storms due today. Hopefully, they won't cause injuries or more property damage in the midwest. After work and exercising last night, I went to the library and got Jillian Michaels book "Winning by Losing". Of course, after I got it home, I realized that I need to open up my 100 Days book again as that book offers good suggestions/motivation. But it's good to have lots of reading material for when I'm on the treaddie or elliptical. Patty - I'm so glad to hear that Blackie is doing better. What a relief that must be for you! The only "people" food we give our dogs now is lettuce. They are just fiends for it. Weird, huh? When we make salads they go crazy and won't stop pestering until they get some crunchy lettuce dropped their way. Shad - You're right...$800 is a lot, but it's cheaper in the long run than $200/month car payments. Plus, it will last a long time now, probably another 100K miles. Sounds like you are definitely a pro at car shopping...I'll bet the salesmen realize quickly that you know your stuff! It's kind of ironic here...it seems like most of the contests that are giving away cars are giving away HUGE Hummers or gas guzzling Trucks or SUVs. Apparently those aren't selling (no surprise with the high cost of gas), so they're giving them away. Happy - Unfortunately, it's not just Lake Delton. There are a lot more lakes and rivers that are threatening to breach their dams. A small section of Interstate 94 between Milwaukee and Madison has been closed in one direction due to a river that runs under it being close to cresting and going over the freeway. We did have a snowy winter, and a soggy spring/summer, but the farmers have still planted (as have we). It depends on where you live as to whether the crops/plants are okay. If you're in an area with good drainage (like me), everything is okay (knock on wood), but other places aren't faring as well. I don't think website development will ever be gone. Companies will always need websites, even if only very basic ones with descriptions of what they do and where they are located. But in today's economy, I think businesses might be getting their employees training on website development rather than contracting it out. Which essentially means they'll get what they pay for. Companies don't have to spend tens of thousands of dollars for a quality website, but a company should be willing to spend more than a couple hundred to have a decent website. Otherwise, the website will look like they only spent a couple hundred. Just my opinion, of course. Okay. I'll get off my :soapbox: Mel - I hope you have a good day food shopping and that it's not too hot today. Carla - Great to hear from you! I hope you're doing well! Try and stay cool, despite the muggy weather. Gotta go...busy day today. A big  and  to all! |
Morning ladies!
Happy Birthday Annie! Enjoy your weekend with Delicious Dave! I never made it to the gym...I still get these weird stomach pains and nausea so I had to rest instead. The neighbor's grandkids came over, and my kids forgot about going swimming. We did go to the mall after dinner and walked around there for about an hour. Have to call mom and let her know that I found the pants she was looking for...at least the trip will save her from having to go thru all the stores to find one specific item. Have to go eat...going to try to oatmeal, as cereal has not been sitting well. |
Thank you, thank you, thank you for the birthday wishes....
hmmmm, delicious Dave....how cute. I will let you know how delicious after he leaves. wink wink. Still celebrating....had a mango margarita last night at Cancun. YUM. Have a marvelous day everyone. love and hugs. |
Annie - the mango margarita sounds yummy. I hope Dave is yummy too.
Ellen - I hope you're feeling better today. Take it easy....don't overdo. |
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Annie, Hope you have a good week end.
|
Well, off to dinner with my dad. We share the same birthday!! He wants to go to Texas Roadhouse. So my mom said we will go to Red Lobster. How funny is she.
Have a great evening. Love and Hugs |

|
I'm here, I'm here. Had to go get Happy's exercise in. Hope she feels good about it. I just would like to sleep. Do we share the calorie workout or is Happy taking them all?
So I have been to gym, done the shopping and am now home to start work. Got a fair bit done yesterday and last night, but it doesn't help when you don't get answers from those who should know. So I will just do it by myself and hope it is not too far off the mark. You do what you can - right? I need a shower and breakfast as well so this will be short and sweet and I'll come back for personals at lunch time. Weather seems to have settled down and we are having some beautiful days. I do spend some time out there during the day. Shame to waste that beautiful blue sky and sunshine. I'll be back |
I am so tired of taking it easy...wishing I had some semblance of energy. I am wiped out after shopping with my mom and sister today, and we didn't even have to walk too much becuase I scouted the stores last night. Mom and Claire got some cute things, and I picked up some new workout pants...hopefully they will still fit after the baby.
On that note, I am the ONLY person I know who has to get pregnant to lose weight...and I am not talking 5 pounds. I weighed today on my scale and according to that I have lose 21 pounds in the last 10 weeks!!! How weird is that...I lost with my first two pregnancies, but I was much sicker with those...ending up in the hospital because of dehydration. Oh well...I guess I am just special. Anyways, I don't recommend losing the way I did, barely able to eat or drink anything. Have to get moving, I have an OB appt tomorrow, and I am hoping to squeeze in a hair cut too in the morning. will have to feel my way to the bedroom, as I am sooo tired! |
Good morning,
Ellen - thanks to unrelenting morning sickness, my niece gave birth weighing less than she did before she got pregnant. (she said that was of little comfort  ) BUT the baby is an angel so she thinks that maybe she caught a break due to the most uncomfortable pregnancy - something to hold out hope for  Besides, aren't you getting to the point where you are very tired all the time? Hope you feel better soon. Thank you for exercising for me Shad - I do appreciate it and yes, I'm feeling a bit stiff today but nothing a good stretch won't remedy :D Glad to hear that you finally got a break in the weather - hope you can get out and enjoy it with the weekend upon us. Mel - I thought Jen had taken off already. Did she decide she'd miss you too much and change her mind? Sometimes there's no place like home. Hope you enjoyed the dual birthday Annie - did it wind up as steak or fish? Pretty neat to share a birthday with dad. Countdown to Dave begins... chicks await anxiously :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :D Hope you're doing ok Michelle. Yesterday I heard random unexpected thunder at work (we had some pop up storms due to the heat). When looking at the radar I checked up your way and there were more nasty storms. The weather channel had a warning that a tornado HAD been sighted in the Milwaukee area and to take immediate cover. :yikes: I don't ever remember such a long bout of bad weather that way -- and you're way past tornado season too. Everything is delayed this season. Hope all is well up your way. Good for you for digging out the 100 Days book again. I keep thinking about it :o Did you get the house all spiffy Shy? I'll bet you did! I'm very tired this morning. Was getting ready for bed last night and I heard what I thought was a gurgling in the toilet area (my loo and tub are in a separate room from the sink and vanity. I peeked around the door and was about to jiggle the handle when I noticed the floor was all wet and there was steady dripping from the shut off valve. I turned it as much as I could but it didn't do a thing for the drip. I laid some towels down and had to go wake up DH who was really getting his snore on. He was deeply asleep as I had a hard time waking him up but it was leaking too much to just leave it all night long. After much fussing, cussing, twisting and turning, we - well HE actually - got it stopped. Turns out the gasket in the aging toilet is breaking down. But I didn't get to sleep until well after 1am and had to get up early as I have an early morning presentation today. It's one of those "hard to keep your head upright and eyes open" kind of days. DH was going to try decaf coffee to see if it cures his ailments but this morning that gets shoved to the back burner and bring out the full strength  I'm about to jump in the shower - might have to make a shot of that cold to open up the peepers :yikes: Might even splurge and pick up a Starbucks on the way in. Gonna be a long day... At least I'm glad it's Friday. Hellos to Carla, Madcat, Ruth and those I've missed. I'm off to try and wake up... |

Happy Friday ladies -
TGIF. After last weekend's wild weather, followed by this week's thunderstorms, flooding, etc., I need a relaxing weekend. We still haven't gotten any flooding thank goodness. But so many towns and cities are under water around us, I can't help but feel for those people who are fighting the clock and rising waters to put sandbags out to try and save their homes. In fact, DH and I were going to go to a nearby community to help sandbag last night as they were looking for volunteers...but we learned there was no way for us to get there as most of the roads were flooded. Thanks for all the compliments about my new avatar. I actually have a poster with the same picture, so when I found the avatar, I knew I had to use it. Annie - I hope you enjoyed your b'day dinner. Mel - The strawberry soup recipe sounds wonderful!! Thanks for sharing! Yes, it was so sad about the tornado that hit the boy scout camp. Shad - Good for you for taking time out to enjoy the beautiful weather when you can. It can be so frustrating at work when you don't get the necessary answers to your questions. Ellen - Just listen to your body and rest when you need to. Happy - I'm doing fine. There were BIG and LOUD storms last night, but we're still safe and dry. We're hoping it won't rain much today and hoping for sun tomorrow. Sunday is supposed to be storm again. I haven't quite dug out the 100 days book yet. Last night, I worked on a puzzle with DMIL instead. Sorry your plumbing problems kept you up late. We didn't sleep much either because of loud (and bright) storms that lasted until 2:30 a.m. Well, I've got a ton of stuff to get done today...but first I have to wake up and smell (and drink) the coffee!! Here's to a great Friday for all of us! |
Happy
Why is it that plumbing problems appear at bed time or in the middle of the night. It could have been much worse. Good that you saw it when you did. Michelle  I see you egg light aglow. to the rest  I'm not in a talkative mood today. I've gained several fluid pounds and it's showing up in my hands and other areas of my body. It makes me miserable. |
Happy Friday Girlie Girls...........
MEL...the strawberry soup sounds wonderful. I printed it for another girl here in the office to try. Shad...you go girl, you are on that exercising. UPS...all the taking it easy will be worth that sweet lil babe soon to join us. Happy....thank God it was only a gasket and not an entire pipe in the wall problem. Diyana...Isn't the flooding the saddest. I watch it on the news and just want to cry for those people. How heartbreaking to lose everything. Ceejay...drink lots of water with lemon, it is a natural diuretic. Feel better, my dear. Getting ready for the big date weekend. Stomach is doing flip flops, had the poo's this morning. Crapped my panties twice before I even left the house for work. I am such a dork. It is raining now, but supposed to be a beautiful weekend hi 82 both days. Little humidity. Hello to everyone...will chat back on Sunday night or Monday. Love and hugs... |
Annie
Suppose to be beautiful here too. Hope we all have a great weekend. Happy birthday cee Water weight can be terrible. It effects how our clothes fit. My watch can get so tight I have to take it off. My rings use to do the same thing. Di Your avatar is very pretty. Melody That is so wonderful of you to support your friend. Why am I not surprised lol you are a wonderful person. Oh, that sounds so yummmy. If I feel better later we are going to try that. If not today then tomorrow. Happy I didn't do much of anything yesterday. I started my DOT today and yesterday my ovaries were killing me. I layed in bed all day with Bella in my drug induced stupor lol. Plumbing problems, oh aren't they the worst. I am lucky that my father knew how to do everything, built our house too. I am pretty good at all kinds of things. Sure saves on repair bills lol. ups As long as you are eating good losing weight while preggy is great. Shad It is just wonderful out. I am not quite feeling the same but I made sure I went out and sat on the porch for awhile. |
