Seven days done! It's been hard, really hard, even writing things down, but now after a week I start to see all the effort I put into staying overweight. And it ain't pretty.
Wow, I'm gone a week and look how much I've missed.
Hello to everyone!
Shy-I am glad you are feeling good! Its wonderful when we get results from all this hard work!!!
Quiet- I like your crunch/push up idea. I need to do push ups more often. I think I can only do 2 or 3>
Hello Gramma, Nikki, DJ (2 weeks! Way to go! What are you doing for exercise anyway?) Hey Red!
We were in Utah last week and we had GREAT fall weather. It was cool, it even snowed one day. The trees are beautiful! Back home it is fall too, RAIN RAIN RAIN. I didn't get to take a walk today because it just wouldn't stop. If I didn't have to take my son along, I would have gone anyway.
As for challenges, I am on:
Less coffee: Day 10, 1 pause left
No beer, Day 3, 2 pauses left
Crunches....Well I haven't been doing those at all. Restart!
I also want to add 30 min of daily exercise.
Well, have a great week-end everyone!
Day 15 - Exercise - good - 0 pause left
Day 15 - count calories - good - 2 pauses left
Spent most of yesterday in my car so I took a pause on both challenges. Not sure today will be much better I'm afraid. My son and I are going on a horseback ride through Harriman Park up near Yellowstone this morning. I'll keep track of my food, but the exercise part we'll have to see about.
Gramma - My husband owns and operates a dump truck and they're doing a bunch of road work in Yellowstone. He's been up there about a month now and is supposedly coming home next week.
Apple - Glad to see you back! My exercise usually consists of a rotation of step aerobics, weights and yoga. I also try to walk as much as I can. I love to go hiking and this winter my friend and I are going to try cross country skiing which will be fun. I've gone down hill skiing before, but not cross country.
Sorry I can't talk more, gotta get ready to go on our horseback ride!
dj, wouldn't the riding be your exercise? How are you figuring exercise? By they way, what is that in your avatar? A waterfall?
Welcome back, Apple! gramma, Shy, good for you!!
Yaaay - classes are done, exams & papers DONE! Well, at least until I start the next set in a couple of weeks! My internet at home is still down, so I can't stay & chat because I'm at school still & have to go back to class to review the exam. Uggh. Anyway - I hope you're all doing well!!
Day 9 (Thursday)
workout - done diary tracking - done
day 10 (Friday)
workout - done diary tracking - done
day 11 (today)
I'm planning to do everything, but I'll probably have to report on that when I can get back to a computer Monday morning.
DJ-it's Yellowstone, isn't it? The Yellowstone River. I love cross country skiing, I just don't have anyone to do it with.
Horseback riding IS exercise, it's just not very aerobic. Maybe as much as walking though. Your call.

Shy-So glad the video is getting easier for you. I feel the same about my weights. I am going to stay at the current poundage right now, but maybe by next month I can either increase the weights or the reps. Hopefully! It's a good feeling to see progress somewhere!
Apple-you are an energetic lady! So many challenges! Keep it up girl!
Dj-More than 2 weeks already! Wonderful!
Red-I am glad you are writing things down. Its great to have confirmation. I think that will be my next goal. (do you remember what my screen name was when I was over there? For the life of me I can't remember)
Nikki-ahhh, the life of a student. I am weary for you. Keep up the good work!
Day 3 for me.
Stretching and water done.
I guess I forgot to decide on my pauses. Well, I think maybe 2 for both.
2 pauses left.
Well, we just got back from our trail ride and we had lots of fun! I sure miss riding. I think next year we're going to do the trail ride they have up in Grand Teton Park. The guide this morning was telling us about it and it sounds great too! Maybe for my birthday next year that's what I'll ask for.
Shy - Yea, guess I'll count todays riding as exercise. I'm just so used to counting exercise that makes me sweat, but I'll admit, I can feel some muscles complaining from the ride.
Apple & Red - You guessed it Apple. It's yellowstone falls. When I resized the pic so I could use it as an avatar, it made it blurry and I have not had time to fix it.
Hi all. Hope you don't mind me popping back in. I need to start some challenges again, and get my head back in the game.
Things have been crazy as usual. I sold my horse - actually, with the price I got for him, I gave him away. But he has a nice new home, with people who will actually do something with him and spend time with him. I still feel sad, like I abandoned a child, but I know it is better for him too.
I took the LSAT two weeks ago. In one week I should get the results. Then I will know if I did well enough to even apply for law school. Law school. At my age??? I am even trying to switch to the legal department at work. It is kind of career suicide if I don't get accepted into law school, but I am getting very fried with supervising people, and need a change.
I went on a cruise a month ago. It was a blast. Unbelievable. I can't wait until next year when I do it again.
My exercise has been sporadic, and my eating has been awful. I have to go shopping for a few larger clothes tomorrow, as nothing warmer fits. This sucks. But I am going to get back in here, get the support I need, and pick challenges to start so that I make healthy choices again.
I am glad to see Shad, Apple, DJ, and of course RED, and can't wait to meet all of the rest of you.
