Hi ladies, I'm so far behind that I can't possibly catch up on personals, although I find time everyday to pop in and read.
Welcome RhiannonC! I'm glad to see you posting. Linda, I love your fluffy kitty! We have two here, but I don't have any photos on this computer. Congrats to all of the losers. If you're not losing, I can commiserate, although I have had some high calorie days lately (Tuesday was a total binge day, don't know where that came from). I've been in a dieting funk lately. Kind of a cycle where if the scale would move I would feel better, but it's not moving, so I eat too much, then it still doesn't move (no surprise there), so I feel bad and eat too much, etc. I may need to hide the scales for awhile. Maybe then I wouldn't mind so much. Oh well, have a great night! |
hey gals,
i was kinda tired yesterday so didnt do any exercise, but iv done pretty good on that side all week so i guess im allowed one day off. im going on holidays on october1st, i just booked it, so i have 7months to lose as much weight as possible. wonder how much i can lose by then,:?: id need to lose a heck of a lot to even think about wearing a swimsuit, and its a holiday park place so to go on rides and in the waterworld and stuff with my son im gonna need to lose lots.:( but maybe this is the motivation i need to keep me on target...my sons gonna have a pretty rubbish holiday if i dont lose weight so i need to do this:^: :^: |

Hi everybody . . . don't think I'll ever understand how quiet it gets around here on the weekends . . . sometimes I think everybody has a busy life but me.:dizzy:
LIZA . . . . . . you definiitely deserve an exercise rest once in a bit, girl. Hope you are still enjoying the sweating stuff. ;) RHIANNON . . . . . . hope you had a restful night after such a long day. :) TAMMY . . . . . . Hi there, girl. Glad to see you. Hope the scale comes out of its 'funk' soon. Well . . . I'm not having a great day today. I ache everywhere; I don't seem to be able to stay awake; but I also want to eat everything in sight. So right now I'm trying to stuff myself full of water in the hope it will help some. Okay, girls . . . have a great Sunday evening wherever you are. Keep things moving and shaking as much as you can and I'll be seeing you soon. :carrot: |
Hi ladies,
Liza, Your vacation sounds like good motivation for staying on track. You are doing great on the treadmill! :cheer: Don't let your bad meal at Burger King throw you off track. That happens to us all, just get right back on track. I *used* to love Burger King. It would be hard for me to resist too. Linda, I guess weekends are busy for most of us, although mine are not necessarily busy "fun". Just busy errands and doing chores that I don't have time to do during the week. I hope you are feeling better soon. Keep chugging that water! I'm back on track after having the meltdown that I mentioned on Tuesday (a 4300 :fr: calorie day where I was eating everything I saw). I was nursing a cold and I think I went carb crazy... Surprisingly enough, I never really saw it on the scale, and I think I'm past the point of seeing it now. I even had a loss yesterday. Now I'm considering adding a cheat meal once every two weeks. NOT a 4300 calorie cheat meal, but a meal where I don't have to log it into fitday. I have started bike riding again, something I haven't done for almost 20 years. So far I'm riding DH's bike, but next weekend I plan to go and purchase my own bike. I'm excited about it, and I'm planning to set some long term distance goals soon. DS and DD have been riding with me. DH is recuperating from surgery he had about 2 weeks ago, so once he is healed, he'll be able to go with us too. I like my Walk Away the Pounds DVDs that I have been using for exercise, but I get really excited about bike riding. Have a great week everyone! |
:( :( :( :( :( :(   :( :( :( :( :( :(
no loss this week :( :( i want to cry    |
Hey girls, sorry I have been MIA but life has a way of making days too short to find a little me time. I have been so busy I can't seem to find the time to breath.
My scales are not moving, but I expected that, I think they would have been down today if I had not indulged over the weekend. I have set a fet goals for myself this week and one of them is to make sure I check in here every single day. I hate to run but it is time to clock into work. Check back soon. |
I don't suppose I could visit and not discuss how my weekend out of town went, huh?? :) It wasn't horribly horrible, but it could've definitely gone better. We did semi-okay until yesterday. We left Saturday am at 6:30. We snacked on fat free chips and fat free pretzels until lunch. We went to Burger King where I had a grilled chicken sandwich (mustard, lettuce and pickle only) and a medium order of fries. We went to Ryan's Saturday night where I had 1 rotiserre (sp?) chicken breast, salad (ff dressing), 1 serving mashed potatoes, and an ice cream cone. (Also nibbled a couple bites of chicken pot pie off hubby's plate). Sunday was the BAD day!! We went to CiCi's pizza (the kids had endured without pizza for long enough....they'd been begging for it alllllllll weekend). Let's just suffice it to say that I told my husband that if I was having pizza, I was going to do it up right! I had quite a few cheesy breadsticks, probably 3 pieces of pizza, and two brownies. OMG....when I left there I felt like I was going to BARF my guts up!! I didn't eat anything else alllllll day. And I've not had anything so far today.....I still feel miserable. And I've had diarrhea this morning. The grease really did me in, I'm afraid. :( But I guess in a way that's a good thing....I won't want to do it again. So the weekend wasn't a total loss, I don't suppose. I dread weigh in tomorrow. I'm just going to have to have a really good day today and tomorrow. Hopefully I can atleast break even when I weigh in tomorrow.
Well, I'm off to begin recovering from my weekend "off the wagon." Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday! And happy belated birthday Tina! Diana |
Hello Ladies . . .
My little section of rural Nova Scotia woke up with a bang this morning -- literally! :dizzy: There was a major explosion at the local Home Hardware Building Centre at about 6:30 this morning. I live about 2 miles away and on higher ground and the view of the leaping flames and billowing smoke was actually quite terrifying, but spectacular. Fire departments from four different localities could not contain the fire and the building was totally destroyed in very short order. Luckily it was a free-standing structure and separated from our local mall by a couple of very large parking lots, or things could have been a lot worse. Nothing on the news yet about the cause of the problem -- imagine it will take them a while to sift through the debris and sort things out. :( Other than that, it has been another cold, but sunny day. I've been doing good stuff today and hopefully the good streak will continue through the evening. Slugging down the water again -- and making lots of trips to the bathroom, of course. I try to envision that a little bit of 'me' is heading down the drain along with the water every time I have to go. :D TAMMY . . . . . . Glad to hear you are back in the groove, girl. I do think the old calorie 'zig-zag' routine has it's benefits . . . but I'm definitely not sure that the high day is meant to be quite that high. :o Hey, life happens, sometimes. ;) LIZA . . . . . . Oh sweetie, you've been doing so well . . . don't you dare let this get you down. We all know that things are just not fair sometimes . . . you've just got to hang in there and keep doing the good stuff. :^: ROBBIN . . . . . . Great idea . . . No matter how busy stuff gets, make a little time for us. It will pay off in the end. DIANA . . . . . . Yep, put the weekend behind you and get right back on the long downward journey. Isn't it amazing how quickly our bodies adapt to a better diet and rebel when we give them the wrong stuff. Listen to the signals, kiddo. ;) Well, time to go and get the big salad ready for dinner . . . going to have it with some cauliflower-topped Shepherd's Pie tonight. Amazing how much it tastes like rich, gooey mashed potatoes . . . love it, love it. Keep things moving and shaking this evening, gang. Here's a nice dose of :dust: to keep us all heading in the great downward direction. See you soon. :carrot: |
I've been recording everything I eat on fitday.com, and I've realized thaty I don't eat enough protein. I've been keeping under 2000 calories a day with very little effort, mostly because I've beren drinking insane amounts of tea and coffee, and plus I have very little time to eat at work anyway. However, 12% of calories from protein is not enough!!! Certainly this diet cannot be sustainable as it currently is. Do you guys have any recommendations for me? I'm feeling rather lost right now, and I'd prefer not to just eat a can of fish everyday . . . how boring would that be!!!
|
hey linda, thanks for the words of encouragement. unfortunatly i did let it get me down yesterday, i had a total binge day ate around a million calories and did no exercise :(
back on track today tho |
Liza, Keep moving towards your goal. Sometimes the scale doesn't immediately reflect our efforts, but if you continue eating right and exercising it will show on the scales. I'm so glad you're back on track today. Keep going.
Diana, Good luck on your weigh in. Isn't it funny how after a few weeks of eating well, our bodies revolt when we put that junk back in it. If it keeps us from craving it again, it's probably calories pretty well spent. Linda, Did you ever hear what caused the explosion? That sounds like it was quite a show. Was anyone injured? Robbin, glad to see you pop in. I want to check in more often too. It helps keep me accountable. I'm back on track with my food. No movement on the scale yet, but that's okay. I have gotten off track with my exercise. I've gone from 5 - 6 days a week to 3 days a week. I've got to get moving, and I've already slept in this morning and missed my time. Maybe at lunch, although we've had tons of rain, and it is supposed to rain more today. Well, time to get to work. TTYL. |
