Default Challenges!!!

Challenges! Challenges! Challenges!

1. Make a weekly menu. Do it today! (this is for ME, cause I am such a procrastinator!)

2. Set a goal...one that you can control the outcome of. (if you say something like, I am going to lose X number of pounds by next Sunday, you really can't control that...but if you say, I will have at least six totally on program days this week..you CAN control that!)

3. Pick someone on the board, and tell them something you like about them in a private message. Make it encouraging. You are welcome to do this for more than one person!

Remember, you CAN do this! Go out and MAKE this a good week!

Default Metal Monster Monday!

Good Morning, Everyone! I slept so so last night, but at least part of the night was good, and I feel fairly good this morning. I am a bit stiff and sore, but that is to be expected, I guess!

I actually remembered to get on the metal monster this morning. I am down two pounds this week! Now I only have four of the holiday pounds to get rid of.

I am supposed to have lunch with my son in law today, while my daughters go out on a few errands. We will probably go for dim sum, and I will have to be really careful to stay as legal as possible. Tonight, we are going on a double date with them, and probably to Longhorn, so I will definitely be able to stay legal there. They even have baked sweet potatoes there.

I need to make a menu, and stick with it. I have put that as the challenge two weeks now because I need it so badly. You all are welcome to kick my booty about it all week. I am one of the worlds worst when it comes to this. I need to get more organized so I don't buy stuff we already have, or let things spoil because I forgot they were in the fridge.

I will be back later... I hope this is a great week for everyone! I can't wait to see how MMM turns out for everyone!

MMM was not good this morning, up two pounds! But for some reason I forgot to take my morning meds on Saturday, one of which is for high BP and includes a diuretic. I took it yesterday, but I wonder if that was the cause.
I need to work on making menus also. I bought a cantaloupe for the kids on Thursday last week on sale and it still sits on my kitchen table. If I don't cut it soon, it will rot. My biggest problem is similar to Monet. I have two refrigerators in my house. One in the kitchen and one in the basement. I forget what meats I have and forget to set anything out to thaw, so with a menu I could see ahead of time what I need and how early to get it out.
I also need to get out and exercise. I say this to myself EVERY WEEK! so why do I not get motivated and just do it! I always have excuses, too cold, too hot, not enough time, etc. If I would just shut up and go, I know I would feel better and accomplish more too. Maybe I can give myself a good kick in the butt!
Well, we're off to run our errands. Have a great day!

Cool Good morning

Well...I was good a day and that bad a day. We had a dilemma here yesterday. We caught our 17 yr old in a lie and had to set a precedant since she's got a car now. So it was an emotional trauma day yesterday and yes Margaritas were involved in the ending so...Today IT STARTS!!!
Pay no attention to my loss. I just ended TOM so...it's probably water weight.
My 4yr old has a playday today with a friend. I am going to ride them to the park using my bicycle trailer. Should be fun.
Hope everyone has a wonderfuld day!

Bellydancing starts tomorrow!!! YA

My name was chocolots! But i changed it to my bellydancing name Aiyana (which means eternal bloom) because I thought chocolots was self defeating. Time to whoop Azz and take names!! LOL!

Monet--You and I have SO much in common--one being having just 4 more pounds to get to the pre-holiday low. We can root for each other here. Maybe if we stick to plan and get some exercise we can get rid of those in just a couple weeks. You go, girl!!!

I lost 2 pounds this week. Yay for me. It's amazing what waiting until after 9 a.m. to weigh will do. I took my walk and got back at 9:10 and then hopped on the scale before breakfast. I was still not budging any pounds yesterday, so I am very happy today. It is motivation for this week. I'll have to make a ticker.

I have to go lift weights in 40 minutes and still need to shower, wash my hair and get dressed, so I will check in later.

Good Morning Ladies,

Hoep everyone had a great weekend.

Mine was so-so with eating. Not really bad, but a couple no-no's, but I did the best I could at the reception. No cake. Ate the chicken (fried) and 1 chicken salad on a small bun. I think I was ok within my calorie limit.

Getting to the gym is going to be tough this week. We can only go tonight and Thursday. Maybe I can go Saturday some time.

The scale is up 2 pounds today, but with my meds I never know the reason. They also cutnout one of my diuretics so that may be the problem too.

Monet, I like your challenges especially #2. I think many of us forget that we are in control, not someone else or especially not food. We can control what we eat when. We have to be responsble to ourselves. My menu is planned all but Thursday, still waiting to see if we have Christmas dinner to attend on Wed. Why not plan to have 7 OP days. If you plan to have less, than you are planning to go off plan before the week starts. Just my 2 cents.

Thin, I think my gain is related to meds also. They cut out one of my diuretics and I think I really need it. If exercising is a problem for you, maybe make that your challenge this week to get at least 2 days of exercise. That is something you can control.

Aiyana, Margarittas can solve a lot of problems. At least it is a good way to deal with the problem. Hope today is better for you.

Gator, Great going on the 2 lbs. You're right, that is great motivation for your week.

Have a great OP day.

Default Good morning.

Three pounds gone. Back down to 166. We went out yesterday and bought a ton of fresh veggies so eating should be a little more varied this week. We got to see our new puppy yesterday day. She is so sweet. It will be about three weeks until she can come live with us. I can't Chiuacha...LOL But that is what she is.

Monet...I love the challenges this week. Except for menu planning I will be able to follow them. WTG on your loss this week. Enjoy your double date.

Solly....Those two pounds will be off before you know it.

Gator...congratulations on your 2 pounds this week. You are doing great.

Aiyana...I think the kiddos live to drive us crazy sometimes. I have five ranging from almost 21 down to 8.

Thin...hang in there. Once your medicine kicks back in I bet the pounds come right back off. ((hugzz))

Bob...(((((((((((hugzzzzzz)))))))))))))) You need big hugs. I sure hope you are feeling much better today.

Forgive me for being forgetful but I know there is a new member from last weeks board. HOWDY! Welcome!

I'm running behind this morning. What's new right? Ya'll have a super fantastic Monday.

Love and hugs,
Crystle

Good morning. I got up to go the thyY this morning,a nd when I got there I realized that they are closed for MLK B-day!!! And of course, Selah knew she was going to swim class and was devestated. So I quick called a neighbor and we went over there to play for awhile to get her mind off of it. I'm so bummed about not getting my water aerobics!!

I'm up to 4 lbs below my PRe-preg weight. I can feel the lbs coming....sigh..... I ate very carefully over the weekend. I had 1/2 aq grapefruit, a glass of milk and a boiled egg for breakfast. Now I can't wait for my stew for lunch I'm 15 weeks now!!!

I found an old pregnancy workout video that someone gave me years ago. I'm going to try it out today, since I can't go the the Y.

Hello all- quick checkin. Back from weekend at Mom's helping her out. She is doing ok, but MAN is she negative!!! She has always been negative, but she is SUPER bad because of the stroke. I do have perspective on it, but it sure triggers my stress eating. Yipes! I didn't do "too" bad though- but there is definitely room for improvement.

MMM I was down only 1 pound. I guess I expected more, because I really did well this week. (except for some nibbling at mom's....) Its soooo amazing how screwed up my metabolism is. I can pile on 8 pounds (count 'em-8~!!!!!) in 2 weeks of stress and overeating, but have to struggle for every ounce getting weight off. So frustrating. I know it will come off eventually, but I feel so yuck!! Oh well, at least it was not a gain!!!

Breakfast today was 1 serving Irish Oatmeal with Splenda & skim milk and 1 apple.
Lunch will be turkey roll-up on ww tortilla. and asparagus.
Dinner will be late because of work- protein shake with ff milk and strawberries.
I will have a glass of V8 (yum) while at work.

OK- my kids are starting to get on each other's nerves. Better go break it up!!! I'll be back later tonite.

HUGS- MUNCH
