Default ? about mayonaise

On SB, do eat regular mayo or does it need to be "low fat" mayo? What about margarine or butter?

LadyV,

as far as I know diet-mayo has starch and sugar as main ingredients (besides taste-enhancers etc) to make it taste right. As I'm not on SB myself I am not 100% sure this is ok, but better check. Regular mayo should have oil as main ingredient (about 80%), so you can't eat too much of it ( 1 tbs is about 100 calories), but it might be ok for SB. Margerine/butter: the same story on the whole. Better to use less and whole than substitutes)

bye, Greekgirl

Angry Mayonnaise

See if you can find SB mayo. I found it here in the Houston area at HEB. I also found SB ranch dressing - delicious

You can use regular mayo, or the lf kind, just watch your ingredients, as the ff stuff has more sugar. I personally use the Hellmans lf mayo when I need to use something like that.

I tend to use butter when needed. Just remember, portion control because no matter what, you still have to watch how much fat you eat.
