Good Morning . . .

It's another beautiful day -- low humidity, pleasant temperatures, a great little breeze, and lots of sunshine -- this is what summer is supposed to be like here in Atlantic Canada.

Things in the Cat Circus seem to be evening out -- Sandy and Blizzard were actually playing together yesterday. In the continuing 'bathtub-saga', I'm beginning to thing Dandy Sandy might be the culprit. I put about an inch of water in the bottom of the tub and left it overnight. So far he is the only one to show up with wet feet. Just hope he doesn't decide to leave little "offerings" in worse places now. I know, he knows where the littler is located. Some cats just don't like to share the facilities. Time will tell, I guess.

Well gang . . . looks like another day of enjoying the great outdoors around here -- I have been slacking off with the crafting projects this past week, but guess I'll get back to them soon enough. Hope the rest of you have a great day . . .

Godd morning everyone. Weekend was not good eating wise. DD wanted Italian and even though I was good and only ate half, too much bread, etc. Then since I was all alone Sat night, there was no stopping. Boredom I guess. yesterday was spent at my niece's in Georgetown at a party.

Still can't figure out why I am so tired. Not just your usual tired, but exhausted. It was all I could do to get to dinner Sat night. Then I am so tired, I can't get to sleep. I see the Rheumatologist tomorrow, so maybe she will have some answers. '

Toni, when is your trip to Calf? I asusme you will be gone for awhile? The weather has been nice here to. I love it, but it sure makes the pool water too cold to enjoy.

Ellen, glad to see your post. So glad Tom has found a job. I can't beleive the baby is already 2. Seems like yesterday he was just born. Glad you are getting to spend some quality time with him. Is your DD and SIL still living with you? Please post more, we really miss you.

Chris, The empty nest syndrome. It is funny, you will get used to them being gone and before you know it, it will be Christmas and then summer and they are back home and then it messes up your "new" routine and you really don't mind them leaving again. Four years later, mine is back home and we have re-adjusted again. When and if she leaves, it will be hard to adjust.

Debbie, welcome neighbor. Looking forward to getting to know you. Ask questions and someone will be able to help you. Good luck.

Meowee, Glad your plumbing situation wasn't that bad. It is nice to get new things even if it is just a sink. Glad the kitties are getting along better.

Gotta run. Have a great day

Good morning. I had wine over the week end which probably messed my eating up. Made a pot of taco soup for dinner last night. I shouldn't have put in the hot rotels it set me on fire. We've been having some weird nice weather. Only in the 80's.

Meowee- Your kitties sound so cute. Hope Sandie starts using the litter box. But it sure doesn't sound like it.

Solly- Sounds like something is off in your body for you to be so tired. I hope you find out what it is. We're going to Calif. the end of Sept.

Lunch with a friend today. So I'd better get around and do some things. Have a good day...

Good Morning Sugar-Babes . . .

Guess three gorgeous days in a row was too much for Ma Nature to even think about. Actually it looks good out there right now -- sunny and a pleasant breeze, but the humidity is way up there again and the forecast is for rain by this afternoon. Oh well, I've got lots on indoor stuff that needs doing.

Dandy Sandy seems to be using the litter box since his preferred spot (the tub) is no longer available (at least I haven't found any other spots); but he does come in and sniff the tub every morning about the same time. Guess I'll have to keep that bit of water in the bottom at all times from now on.

Have a great moving and shaking day, gang . . . see you later . . .

Good afternoon. Even if I just got finished eating my breakfast. Had some wheat and bran shredded wheat and a piece of toast. Just got ready to go the beauty shop and get this rag mop cut off my head. Other than that have no plans. I do need to get to that laundry. Yuck... Not much else going on here.

Meowee- Glad your cats are doing good. We're having beautiful weather here too.

Well I'm off to get my hair cut....

Hi there . . .

Just wanted to say GOOD MORNING . . . before it isn't either morning or good anymore. After a terrible evening and night of thunderstorms, this morning has been glorious -- sunny, dry, cool -- although it is starting to get a little more cloudy now as afternoon approaches. Actually, for many it is probably a bit too cool since it will likely not even make it into the 20s (70s) today, but this is just how I like it.

Life is still fairly good in the feline world -- although they knocked over a lamp in the night and completely demolished the shade -- but other than that, no surprises. So, I'll be out looking for a new shade this afternoon -- maybe a new lamp.

On another slightly down note, I seemed to have managed to get the BGL and the WL moving in the same direction this morning -- unfortunately the direction is upward. Hey, once again this will pass. After all is said and done, this is a lifelong journey we are facing and one day will neither make it or break it.

Have a great moving and shaking kind of day, everybody . . .

Oh he we've got rain. My tomatoes are going to be so happy. Even if I did give them a little water yesterday. I'm even a little cold. Eating has been fair it could be better. I've got a roast in the crockpot cooking.

Meowee- Sounds like the kitties are at it. Hope your BGL goes down.

Well guess I'll get busy on the laundry. Yuck......

Good morning ladies!!
This is going to be a quick post, I should be in the shower already. Thank you Solly for the heads up about my "empty nest" LOL. Just wanted to update my ticker. I'm down to 151 this morning. Six more pounds, then maintenance.

Good morning, soory I have been MIA, I have had meetings all week.
I have been to the gym 3 nights this week and today I got up early and walked before work. I woke up at 3:30 and could not go back to sleep, so at 5:30 thought might as well do something worthwhile. Now if I could only get my eating on track, life would be good.

Toni, enjoyyour haircut. I am always more than ready when it comes time to get mine done. We have not had any rain. Calling for a slight chance on Sunday. We need it though.

Meowee, glad you have Dandy Sandy straightened out. Hope you get some new shades, treat yourself to a new lamp

Chris, wow 6 more pounds to maintenance is awesome. Wish I were in your shoes. Have a great weekend.

Well guess that is everyone. Our group sure has dwindled down. No big plans for the weekend. Will wait and see what comes along. Have a good one everyone

Hi Sweeties . . .

Both temperature and humidity are climbing rapidly today (at least it's sunny) and, naturally, I've got a very busy day planned -- it will include lunch with friends and it's going to be Chinese. I will avoid the breaded stuff, of course, and eat lots of vegetables, but it's pretty much impossible to avoid the high sodium levels so, don't think I'll be seeing any downward scale movement tomorrow either -- I can almost feel my cankles starting to swell already. Hey, all we can do is out best.

Everything in the feline world is calm -- everybody is getting along and no disasters since the lamp situation. After pricing very expensive shades (needed two; so they'd match) decided to put both of the good lamps away for a little while and bought two cute cheapies ($20 each) at WalMart. I them and won't feel badly if they meet a fate similar to the others. After Sandy is full grown and settles down a little, I might drag out the others and get them new shades, but don't imagine that will be happening this year.

Hope everybody has a great day and that you all manage to keep things moving and shaking just as much as you possible can. See you later . . .

Hi there gang . . .

It has turned very hot and sticky again -- but, since this is the annual Bluegrass Music Festival at the fairgrounds across the road, I think I might be kind of content to have the house shut up tight with the A/C roaring away. Twelve hours a day of that kind of music is a little bit above my enjoyment level.

Here's a little hint that turned up in my e:mail this morning . . . wow it has been a very long time since we Diabetics had to use urine test strips for blood sugar monitoring, but it's nice to know that they can still come in useful . . .

Want to make sure that Diet Coke is actually diet? Use Clinistix or Diastix urine glucose test strips to test. Just take a small amount of food or drink in your mouth and mix it with your saliva, then spit out a small amount on the test strip. A change in color indicates the presence of sugar or starch. Don’t just dip the test strip into the food or drink; saliva is essential to the reaction because it contains an enzyme that releases glucose.

Anyway, hope everybody has a great weekend planned . . . keep things moving and shaking . . .

What a lazy Sunday. I feel awful today so haven't done much of anything. We are going to grill some steaks in a bit. Hope I'm able to eat mine. Hope everyone is having a good week end.

Meowee- I would love the bluegrass music. But 12 hours would be a bit much for me too. Its hot and humid it here also. I hate it outside right now.

Well off to get DH moving....

Good Morning . . .

Bright and sunny again, but still a little too humid for my liking. No exciting plans for me today, anyway.

Have a great Sunday, gang . . .
