Default This is wonderful!

Good morning and Happy Friday to All! Another newbie here popping in to say hello.

The book is on order and I have been avidly reading the forum for several days now and am so impressed with the kind support you lend each other! For the first time in years I feel I can do this.

As I am normally very shy & reserved and have -0- experience with message boards I will keep this brief

Kudos to all and I hope you have a have a happy, healthy weekend.

Well Sue welcome to the board. You'll love it here & don't let your shyness keep you from posting &/ achieving your goals. SB is absolutely doable. It's about the only thing that has worked for me. I just let allot of stress & emotional eating get me back to where I was before SB, so I'm now back on track & hope to stay that way.

It's really foggy out this morning after all that rain from yesterday. I've got to get out & do a few things today that I have been putting off, so I'll check in later. Have a good one everyone!

SUE: We are glad to have you join us! As Melf said, don't let your shyness and inexperience with message boards keep you from jumping in! I have been on here for years and years, and this group has been some of the greatest friends I have ever had! We look forward to getting to know you, and giving you the encouragement and support you need to achieve your goals!

MELF: I think we got your rain...its POURING out there!

ROSALIE: Way to go on the walking! You are doing great!

EVERY BUDDY!!!

Just got home from work. It's really picking up and we get busier every day. Of course, that makes the day go by faster. I slept like a baby last night...I did take a LUNESTA and it must have worked this time. When the alarm went off, I groaned, TIPPY groaned...but I got up.

SUE... To our little corner of the board! We're glad to have you. Be sure and go to our BIO board and give us a little info on yourself. Jump on in and join on in!!

MONET...I"M SO EXCITED!!!! Glad you got to go back up the NO GA...I know you enjoy that so much...You didn't answer my question...Did JAMES get home before Christmas Eve? Has he already gone back? Sorry the potato didn't work. Maybe we're going to have to keep real turkey around...it always makes people sleepy.

THIN...Your kitchen sounds like it's going to be so pretty. You'll have to post some pics when you're done. I love that soft green..I use it a lot in decorating.

MELF...Sorry you've got the fog going on. It's been so cloudy here and the wind from the GULF has really been kicking up. The sun has just come out for the first time today.

ROSALIE...Company again??? have you gone and got yourself a boyfriend????

OK...WHERE'S JACKIE TODAY????

I'm off to search for something to cook for supper. I'll check back later!

Hey everyone! I just got in from running a few errands with Laura and Kaeleb. He slept most of the time we were out! We went to Babies R Us where she spent her gift card PLUS on diapers formula, and a mattress pad for the pack and play, and a box of Dr. Brown's bottles. She grumbled about how expensive babies are. I could have told her that!

Then,we went by Costco and I ran in to get two cans of formula there, cause their price is the absolute cheapest around. Well, wouldn't you know it...it was time for my annual renewal, so it cost me $50 more than I was expecting. Grrrr!

We are home now...and I need to figure out what we are going to have for dinner. I do NOT feel like cooking, that is about all I know!

BOB: I hate turkey, so I guess I will just have to explore other ideas for sleeping. James did make it home by Christmas eve...he actually got home on the 21st since they knew he would have to go back. They just extended his time up there yesterday, so I have NO idea when he is going to be home again. He is north of Phillthy now...

Default Good afternoon

Howdy everybody. I've been super busy the last couple of days. I did find a yummy recipe this week but it is NOT low in calories. It is worth every one though if you like spinach. It is called Greak spinach and has feta and cottage cheese in it. You just saute some onion in 2 teaspoons of butter, then add the thawed squeezed spinach(20 ounces). After about 7 minutes add a half a cup of feta and a half a cup of cottage cheese. Once it melts it is done in about one minute. The kids ate every drop and wanted more.

Welcome NewEnglandSue and the other new members that I've missed recently. Welcome aboard. These ladies are the BEST.

I hate to rush off without replies but the kiddos are calling.

((Everybody))

God bless,
Crystle

Monet, I thought about you this am when I heard on the wether channel that it was hitting your area. There were a couple of tornadoes that hit about 30 miles away from us yesterday that killed 2 people & sent several to the hospital & a couple of kids missing but I think they were found later. Destroyed about 20 homes.

Didn't do too well at lunch today. Went to Mr. Gatti's with a friend & although I had salad, I also had the spaghetti & a couple of slices of thin crust pizza! OhOh! Will do better tonight & tomorrow.

We did not go out today. I'm in Ga here with Monet and it rained quite a bit! SO, I am planning to go out tomorrow to grocery shop and pick up some kind of paint at home depot.

I made the best mashed cauliflower tonight. I just had to tell you guys about it! I boiled some water and then added a bag of the frozen cauliflower till soft. Drain, then add in one wedge of the laughing cow garlic and herb cheese, a small amount of american and monterey jack cheeses (that's what I had on hand) a pat of butter, shot of cream and salt and pepper. Mash away and enjoy! Rachel was not very hungry for the baked chicken and green beans I made, but had some of this! I was shocked!

I want to try the spinach that Country mentioned above! I am aiming to stock up on veggies and fruits tomorrow. I have three good days under my belt now, but supplies are getting low!

Have a great weekend ya'll!

Sounds delicious!! I have a question though, I tried to make mashed cauliflower before and it had the consistency of rice. Am I not cooking it long enough? How long did you cook yours? I considered using my food processor but just have not tried it yet.

I hope everyone has an awesome day!

AFTERNOON EVERY BUDDY!!

Well...so much for going to work today...I slept straight through going! I must have been more worn out than I thought. My Boss will not be happy, and I'm sure I'll hear about it on Monday.

That recipe that COUNTRY talked about sounds wonderful, but I think I'll substitute ricotta for the cottage cheese.

I don't like cauliflower at all...any way...no way...BUT I DO LOVE ALL OTHER VEGGIES!!! I'm going to get a load of chicken when I go to the grocery and get back to eating my chicken or salmon...veggies...etc...AND WALKING is the next mission. My knee is so much better, and TIPPY needs to walk too. This will be good for both of us!

I'm off to do some much needed things around here...I'll check in later!

I'm not really sure how long I cooked it. sorry! I mashed it with a potato masher and then decided to use my hand blender (boatmotor!)

I went to the store this morning, so maybe I can stay on track now. I have some red beans and rice cooking for this evening. I have a container of brown basmati rice too, so it can be legal. Rachel wanted to go for a walk today, but we have not gotten to it yet. We need to go before it gets dark.

Tom and I went to Home Depot this afternoon and used the coupon we had to get everything we needed to finish the laundry room. We got drop ceiling tiles and the hardware to install them, paint, wall board and a bunch of other little things. We had to make two trips since everything would not fit in the truck. It is going to be really nice! I picked a nice off white color for the paint. It was called Honeysuckle white.

After we got everything carried in, we headed out to Outback for dinner. I got a dinner salad, and Tom got a large 12oz sirloin with a baked sweet potato. He gave me about 1/3 of the steak, and half the potato. That was plenty of food for both of us and it only costed about $25. We had a couple gift cards, so we are going to be able to go out once or twice more! Yay!

I got an email from Fillise today...please pray for her and her family. They just found out her mom has cancer, and at the same time, found out her aunt had passed away.

Sweet dreams, everyone! Talk to you all tomorrow!
