Default Phase 1 Day 2

Yesterday I had:

Breakfast: eggs, 1 whole with 2 yolks, 3 pieces of turkey bacon
Snack: light string cheese
Lunch: grilled chicken salad with oil and vinegar dressing
snack: pistachios

Today:

Any advice?

I also started the 16th and I am not sure why, but I am hungry all the time! I have to find more snacks to eat, that's for sure!!

I usually have an egg in the morning
snack: celery with laughing cow cheese and hummus
lunch: tuna salad (huge salad!)
snack: Jello cup (usually 2)
Dinner: Last Night it was part of a pork roast and tonight will be salmon.

I am cooking an artichoke right now and will have some cashews as well. But I know it's working, but I am just always hungry now...

Sarah, please remember pistachios and other nuts are limited to one serving a day. Chicken wings are not on the food list. You also must eat 4 1/2 cups of good vegetables - not just salad.

Steph, you are not eating enough.

Everyone: Please review the Revised Phase I Food List in the FAQ section and the other stickies in there. Vegetables are important and so is DAIRY! Where is the milk?

I agree with Ruthxxx, you should never be hungry Steph b/c otherwise you'll eventually just throw in the towel.

Eat a ton, just of good stuff. Make sure you eat 2 cups full of vegs at lunch and dinner but make them fun veggies-garlic broccoli, go to the recipe section and make the laughing cow aflredo sauce over cauliflower, spinach spicy tomatoe casserole, etc etc

keep going though, you're doing great!!

Hey partyofsix - I'm starting today, too!

So far, I had:

Snack - String Cheese
Lunch Big Salad, Oil and Vinegar dressing, turkey breast slice
Snack: Cashews
Dinner: Will be Boneless, Skinless Turkey Breasts, and a spaghetti squash "fake pasta" made with tomatoes, onion, and garlic.

Did I do okay? I am SOOO new to this!

Thanks for the advice to eat more! I thought milk was off limits the first two weeks? I am headed to the stickies right now though to get some more info!!!

Milk is definitely ON the plan for all phases. The book list is out of date so be sure to use the revised food list in the FAQ.

Cool Phase 1, Day 3

Welcome to all you Wednesday starters!

Last night I actually went out to dinner at Chili's and made good choices and I feel great about it (it is the small victories). But I did notice when I was picking up some groceries at Walmart I was craving everything sweet. I didn't give in, but I am hoping these cravings will diminish as I go on through Phase 1.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Breakfast
Low Carb Slim fast Shake
2 vegetarian 'sausage' links - yum
Snack
Low fat string cheese
1 Ham roll up

Lunch
Snack

Dinner

I know the Slimfast shake is handy but Dr. A. does not want us to use commercial shakes in Phase I - too processed. There are a couple of shake recipes in the Recipe Forum. You could also make a yummy eggnog or other sort of milkshake. I do a strawberry one with sf Jello for flavour.

hey wildlife,
my dh works at Chili's and I've yet to eat there since hitting the beach, mind if I asked what you had? I love their southwest eggrolls-wrapped in starch and soaked in oil, lol
