Afternoon, Chicks~~

Super boring day at the lab. Only 5 vict...uh...patients today. I spent the bulk of my time knitting on a purple sock.

Malt-O-Meal, for those who asked, is a very yummy hot cereal with malted barley in it. Gives it a sweet, kind of malty flavor. Wheat Hearts {{{shudder}}} My dad used to make us eat that. BLECH!!!

Granny, congrats on your new furbaby. We have a ragdoll Siamese. Her offical name is Buffy, but I call her Princess Predator.(That name is copyrighted btw, for use in a future book).

Barb in California, I love the quote under your name! Have you reached SABLE yet? I haven't but I'm getting close!

I'm also 5'-2 3/4" tall and my long term goal is 130. Back in the day, I weighed in at a whopping 104, but I think now, I'd look like a famine victim if I weighed that little.

Gonna try eating a little steamed broccoli tonight. Wish me luck!

HAGN everyone!

I looked up SABLE - there were 3 different phrases that it can be an acronym for, but I assume this is the one Mama means: "Stash Accumulation Beyond Life Expectancy."

I laughed when I read that because that is sooo my MIL!

I also laughed about the Malt-o-meal vs Wheat Hearts. I can't stand Malt-o-meal or Cream-o-wheat or any of those sorts of cereals. They remind me of baby food! I've never had Wheat Hearts, but I thought they sounded potentially yummy, especially as I like whole grain stuff. My favorite cereal is (and has been for ages) Irish steel-cut oats. Mmmmm!

Ruth - your new avatar startles me everytime I see it! It's like when someone you see every day suddenly gets a shockingly different hairstyle, and it takes a while before you recognize them right away again!

Yep, Heather, you nailed it.

I also really like steel cut oats, but for right now, my tummy prefers not to have "roughage". I tried eating some oats with raisins and slivered almonds the other day and it was NOT pretty.
