Well, ladies, I've been off plan for two weeks now. Not feeling good about it, but at least I'm still exercising. I can not seem to get the motivation to get back into it.

It started with PMS (probably compounded by the changing seasons) and now I'm just down-right depressed. I had to put my sweet kitty to sleep this weekend, and although I KNOW I made the right decision for her, I am still guilt-ridden. Her illness was very unexpected and it was the first time I've had to make such a decision...it was more traumatic for me than I thought it would be. Then we found out that DH's grandmother has been diagnosed with throat and lung cancer, my aunt has skin cancer (the highly lethal melanoma kind), and a young man that DH grew up with was killed in an auto accident (he was 25).

I'm trying to control my emotional eating, but I'm not having much success (especially with all the Halloween candy that has suddenly appeared). I think my plan is to give myself a few more days, trying to get on Phase 1, and if I can't do it on my own, I'm gonna have to seek out some professional help. Today I'm going to weigh myself at the gym and maybe that will help me snap out of it. I weighed myself last week and found I was down a pound and a half, which seems to have given some stupid part of my brain the idea that it's okay to be off plan right now. But it's not worth it to sacrifice all the hard work b/c I'm feeling blue.

Hope everyone else is having a successful, OP week!

Sausage kolaches are soft rolls with a small piece of sausage or sausage and cheese inside. They also had fruit kolaches where fruit is on the top of the soft roll. Very much OFF plan but so yummy.

I wonder if they are like what I call pigs in a blanket where you use like a cresent roll with a lil sausage link wrapped up in it. Either way it all sounds yummy and OFF P! tee-hee

Hello ladies.

Crazy day as usual. Not much time to say hellos, but I did get to read everybody's post...only took me an hour with interruptions!

I'm up to my ears today in Star Wars stuff. I have one consignor that I've been selling for since I opened. She's 80+ years old and lives with her husband quietly. Her son died in 2001 in a car crash. He was a graphics designer who lived alone. Never married, and spent his time collecting and accumulating toys of all kinds. He had an Atari, original Nintendo, Sega, and Super Nintendo all in original boxes, played with maybe once. He bought things to have them. This week's lot included original Star Wars posters and toys, posters from when Kiss was a garage band, and expensive books.

Anyway, when I showed up at her house the other day for a pickup she told me she had a few things she didn't know if I could sell or not. She opened a large tote to reveal 5 original 1960's Tonka construction toys. For those of you not familiar, this is big bucks. They were played with, but her son was obviously a collector from birth as they look great! I cleaned them up yesterday and they look just peachy.

Bry called her yesterday to ask if she had a piece that was missing from a dozer. He also told her the combined estimated value of the tote was over $1000. She was so funny! She got all excited and confused, couldn't understand why they were worth so much used! Anyway, she called back and said her husband couldn't find the piece. Quoted "I made him look under the couch and everything!" It was absolutely adorable.

Speaking of adorable, the sing-song for 911 at the nursing home went well. My MIL had to make a lady sit back down in her wheelchair as she wanted to get up and dance to America, the Beautiful. It felt great.

Had a multi-chamber mixer on Monday. Not totally on plan, and I did do dessert, but it's TOM and I don't feel that bad about the food yet.....I did get out last night and get some serious walking in. Every time I set my alarm for the AM work-out, I wake up and remember that I have plans for work for that early AM. GRR! Anyway, going to try to get in a workout video, maybe Paula Abduhl, tomorrow morning if it kills me!

My treadmill is dead.........

Have a lovely day ladies!

Afternoon All,

Can't say I've actually gotten a lot done today but I finally had a morning at my desk. DH took the kids to school today so I've had the house to myself all morning. Didn't do too great with eating yesterday. We had Back-to-School night and they had these fabulous homemade chocolate cookies so I had just one. But since I had a cookie, might as well have a few chocolates and if I'm having chocolate, why not a few chips and ... Fortunately the damage wasn't too bad (no junk food in the house ) and back to OP today. I've decided I can't do any more eggs for a few days so I've been having steel cut organic oatmeal for breakfast instead - guess I'm officially on Phase 2.

What I really need to do is get my butt back to the gym. There has been a real whirlwind of "start of school" stuff and it has made it hard to get my regular routine going again but that is no excuse!

Great to see everyone's posts - usually by the time I've read them all I'm out of time to post. I should have had lunch an hour ago so I'm off to see what looks yummy in my kitchen and go start the afternoon whirlwind. DD has started having to change/shower at gym in school and has a sudden interest in training bras and a particular style of underwear. She's flat as a board (she'll be 11 in a few weeks) but that has nothing to do with anything of course . I'll let you know how I survive the jungle of pre-teen underwear!

Red face Hugs to all

I usually get up to my computer after all my "bed and breakfast" prep is done, but I read all of your wonderful posts. I send my good will and hugs to all the chicks. You are such a great group of supportive women. I feel so lucky to share in the closeness of everyone from all over the world.

I restarted on Phase I Monday and am down 3 and 1/2 lbs. I have got to stay OP and quit messing around with the plan! Weekends are hard because of all the wonderful leftovers. That wouldn't be so bad, except they are triggers for all of the "whites" in the house. (Whine whine)

Laurie--I've had to put down a few kitties over the years because of illness. It is very hard. That, with all the illness in your friends and family compounds the problem. Your thought about seeking professional help is a commendable one. I've done it and it does help. However, just seeing that you have options is excellent.

Take care.

Its been a while since I posted in the daily. You ladies fly so fast!! I am sure I will miss some people in my response, I apologize in advance!!

Jennie - Adorable bedding. 13 weeks will fly by!

Mamacita - holy bug bites!! Itching is no fun.

Jodi - Come on board with us, you can lose.

Lauren - Safe travels and enjoy the holidays.

weezle - good lord you bathroom queen!! Gonna make sure I am not eating what you are eating!! hope you are feeling better...

skherb - my 20mo twins are not scared of thunder yet, we never face that. Hope tonight is a quiet night.

Barb - I must tell you, I watch your sig line for inspiration. You are so dedicated and take adventures in cooking, and you stay on track. I just find it inspirational and wanted you to know it.

sweettooth - an MP3? How cool for you!!

Jess - onederland is so close, you will be there before you know it!!

Laurie - the work walking group is such a great thing, how exciting. And a big ole on the lower BP and BMI

LaurieX - From one emotional eater to another, you just have to decide to stop. And I started SBD in January and am just NOW starting P1 over again. You have to really want it and that takes time. You will get back on track, I just know it.

little chick - I am green with envy at your time for you. How wonderful!!

Adia - It must be wild working with people who are letting go of collections that were such a big part of their lives. Amazing.

Kim - preteen underwear? Heaven help you.

And about me? Not much to report really. Spending all my free time getting ready to launch my company. Its a gourmet, handmade nuts and chocolate company. The website should go live shortly and I have a few weddings and showers booked. Going to try a couple local holiday art fairs to help spread name recognition. Its exhausting but hopefully will be worth it. Otherwise, my signature line says it all...hopefully P1 will kick me back into gear and I will not have lost much ground.

Have wonderful evenings everyone!!

Good morning!
Oh, ****... NOT morning!

Jennie, I LOVE the crib set you've chosen!

Mamacita, Happy Birthday to your baby! I wonder when they stop being "babies"? My eight year old still looks like a baby to me (sort of), and I'm affronted when people tell me he's growing.

Ruth, a Newfie! I may come out and join you some Sunday!!

Jodi, you don't have to apologise for whinging... we all do it at some time! I'm so glad you're doing well, girl!!

Lauren, enjoy your holidays!

Weezle, we know more about your bowels than anything else about you.

Skherb, congratulations on getting a walk in!! I hope the rain has stopped.

Barb, I hope you got out there and exercised today!

Bamiegirl, I LOVE sausage rolls! Mom makes the most fantastic pastry...

Peggy, I'm with you, girl. I am SO with you. Yesterday I made (early in the day) crepes for dinner. I ended up eating all eleven of them (with cream cheese and smoked oyster filling), and having to make something else for dinner.
Do you think we can possibly pull ourselves together for tomorrow?

Kvixen, I'm glad you're back on track! Keep it up!!

Jess, I love Bridget Jones, too! I can't even imagine what's going to happen in the new movie!

Laurie, don't get discouraged... ... you're building muscle!! It's heavy stuff, darlin'!

RNMom, you're a sweetheart. And you haven't even got your bracelet yet! (what happened to those things, anyhow!)
Wow, you're in a canning frenzy! I used to love doing that! I did a ton of it for several years, but then became incredibly lazy. I was just having some Pear-Lemon Marmalade this afternoon (no, it's not OP), and thinking it would be nice to make some. It's a small jar, and it cost 12 bucks! It might really impress people at Christmas time. I'm determined to make my gifts this year...

Oh, LaurieX, I am so very sorry... What a load of burdens you're bearing right now. You're very wise to get some help.
Why don't you just do Phase II for now? Even Phase III would be healthy, and it would be easier for you at this time.
My DH and I will be saying lots of prayers for you and your family... love and hugs...

Little Chick, as usual you sound beautiful and completely organized. I want to be YOU!!

Sarah, I'm so glad the singing went well! I'll bet they loved you!

Kim... pre-teen underwear. shudder. You WILL get over it. My daughter now looks through my underwear drawer when she's short.

Hi, Yaya! Glad you're doing well!!

Essie, congratulations on the weight loss!

Jen, your company sounds cool! I hope it's a great success!

Me? I made the mistake of joining the South Beach Online site the other day. Realized it was a waste of time, and I've just cancelled it. I can't believe how little you get there! Everything you need is RIGHT HERE! (and it's free!) Anyhow, I thought it might give me a boost, but it didn't.

Otherwise, I am doing very well. My Mother is driving me RIGHT UP THE WALL, but I'm starting to get a grip on myself.
Ruth, if you take her out, remember... I can't afford to pay you.
I was thinking how nice it would have been if I could have watched the hockey game last night with Dad.

Right now I am doing something TOTALLY weird and unlike me. I'm filling out contest entries online. Between yesterday and today, I've filled out about 100. I figure I'm good to win at least an even dozen. If I win something I don't like (a spa for two in the mountains?), I'll toss it, and you can all scramble.

Ellis it is so good to see you here and in good spirits. Don't be tossing that spa thing to anyone but me. That is my dream. And thanks for the compliment. Love ya girl.

Hahaha passes quickly.

Yeah, umm.....could be that all I've eaten for 2 days is salad and a whole bag of frozen broccoli/cauliflower maybe? Had a salad tonight, but laying off the veggies. May have a Boca Italian Sausage instead. No problems today....think I got everything out of my system last night.

Incidentally, I've lost 4 lbs since Monday. WOO HOO for Phase 1 again! I'm still not posting my REAL current weight, as I am still ashamed for going hog (haha literally) wild last weekend. Tempted to drink beer tonight, but drinking water and tea and staying in with Terry. Good weezle.

Unfortunately no. The crib will convert into a toddler bed and it will still fit for that, but it won't fit for the twin.
