Default Clothes getting looser

I am trying to go more by how my clothes fit than the scale for progress but since I have never been on a diet before or needed to lose weight, I was wondering how long does it take before you start noticing a difference in how your clothes fit?

This is just the end of my first week but I was hoping to maybe feel that my pants were a teeny tiny bit looser around the waist and they are not....lol

I noticed after 2-3 weeks from starting. I had a pair of pants that were extra uncomfy and those were the first I noticed it in. I'd say after about 10 pounds you'll be able to tell! Are you exercising? That will give you a good boost!

I am starting to notice it a little now. I am just getting ready to start my third week and have lost 12 pounds so far. I am really noticing it around my upper body though. My pants are a little looser, but my shirts are not as tight around the chest as they used to be. And my face looks a little thinner - that is normally where I notice weight loss first anyway.

I started noticing after 2 weeks. Now I can fit into my old jeans, and some clothes I bought this winter are practically falling off! It's a great feeling, even better than seeing the number change on the scale.

Lost 5 lbs in the first 4 days, nothing since. I started phase II on day 11 and have been on the diet in total for about 3 weeks. However, even though I haven't lost more lbs in erms of the scale, my cloths are a lot looser and my butt and belly are definitely smaller. So, I'm Ok with no more weight loss if my figure and muscle mass adjust.

Happy being on the beach in Phase II-

I'm on week three and my clothes are getting looser! I have lost almost 10 pounds so far and wore some jeans today that I have not been able to wear in a long time!

I'm wearing my new pair of jeans right now. Size 16. (same size as last time ) I'm thinking of wearing them to bed tonight to stretch them. I have to go out for lunch tomorrow, and I may need some extra room.

Have you ever worn the stretch jeans? Those are so comfy and very in style!

Yes, Traci... I LOVE those, and have always bought them! But I couldn't find any in my size when I went shopping last week. These are pretty good, though. They're a relaxed fit around the waist and hips. I DID fall asleep in them last night (waiting for DH to come home from playing hockey), so they're a little looser this morning.

I have dropped one size since starting and bought a pair of capri pants a size down cause there were none left in my new size. Yesterday I actually wore them to work. They fitted well because I was standing for most of the time but I probably need to lose a little more to be able to wear them for a long sitting down period. So I have droped 1.5 sizes really.
