Question Anyone had success starting on Phase 2

I am not sure I can give up my oatmeal for breakfast, I can live with every other part of phase 1 but I need my oatmeal??

Is it like Atkins where as if I have my oatmeal for breaky and follow the remainder of the day would I be OK??? Or do you have to follow it religiously?

Thanks everyone

Hockeychic, the nice thing about this plan is you can modify it to meet your personal needs. I know a lot of people skip phase 1 completely and jump right into phase 2. The primary purpose of phase 1 is to get rid of the carb cravings, and to detox your body if you've been eating a lot of "bad" carbs and sugar. I'd say give it a try, and if you find that the morning oatmeal makes you crave other carbohydrates, then try to go without it for a couple of weeks, but if it doesn't affect your cravings, then go for it.

I agree with Twodog, Hockeychic. Go for it. We're on Phase II now, and DH and I really enjoy the oatmeal recipe from the book. It's very cozy. And filling.
