Default Help!

Hi,
I'm new to forums or whatever this is!!haha-so excuse me if I didn't do this right-was I supposed to start a new thread????. BUT anyway-I have ordered this book, and I plan to start the very day it arrives. I realized last week at a trip to my OB/GYN that I weigh the very same thing I did the week I went to the hosp. to have my last baby. I'm soooooooo depressed, and soooooo fat!!!!!! I'm going to be checking in here regularly, because I need all the encouragement I can get. All my friends are rail thin, and can't even understand what I'm going through. I have never had this much trouble losing weight, so I hope this is going to be my answer. I think it might be, just because I've done low fat, high carb so many times, I think my body is immune to it!!!! This might give my body the shock it needs!!!! Anyway enough of my rambling, but if anyone has tips, send them on!!! Will I be able to eat ANYTHING sweet the first 2 weeks???? I'm scared!!! haha. I love sweets. Even sugar free jell-o??? please????haha.....

Hi bobo and Welcome,

You did just fine posting and you are going to do just fine on this new way of eating. It is wonderful! You are going to be amazed at how well your body will respond.

As far as the sugar goes, hmmmmmm, you will have to give it UP (well almost)! The sugar free jello is ok but we are limited to 75 calories per day of sugars including sugar substitutes.

In about 3 days, maybe sooner, you will see that the sugar cravings will disapear and if you decide to indulge in them after you have detoxed, your body will let you know about it!! Trust me, it is not worth it!

Looking forward to getting to know you...come and visit us on the weekly post...soon to be the "daily". You will see they are dated accordingly.

There are also some spiffy ricotta dessert recipes that are allowed the first 2 weeks. They really helped.

Thanks for the info. You girls are great. I'm still waiting on my book to come. But I saw a place online where it had the first 3 days or so menu. That bothered me! Do I have to stick to those menus or am I fine if I only eat off the allowed foods list? I am not one to follow a diet that is so restrictive! I am sort of a picky eater, and wasn't too fond of alot of the stuff on those menus. I'll be glad when my book comes!!!!!

Bobo,

You do not have to stick to those menus, they are just a guide and for some people it makes life much easier.

Good luck!
