I am too overwhelmed to post individuals today @ Ruth but wanted to drop a note to say good morning. I've got some coffee in me and prepping for a long day.

Ever feel like you run around all day putting out fires? Yeah, one of *those* days!

My first post on these daily chats. Hi everyone, hope the day is a good one for all.
I need to vacuum and wash the kitchen floor, but don't feel like it.
Taking the dogs for a walk in our local state park(hopefully not too muddy), and then I will deal with the house.
It is rather bleak today after three days in a row of almost spring-like weather.
Happy trails!

Karen, good luck with your vacation prep! Do you find the belly is the last place to go? It is for me. I always feel like I lose weight from the extremities inward. I don't know why.

Jenny, great news on the raise! I hope that works out for you!

Jenn, I am sending you a cyber-firehose so you can get all those fires out at once!

Deb, good to see you in the daily thread! I never feel like cleaning either, but after it's done, everything looks so nice.

We're off for the afternoon. I'll check back in tonight.

Hello all,
Yesterday was a Quantico day, so I didn't have time to say hello. Exercise and food are spot-on this week, so I'm hoping I've recovered my SB mojo. Travel next week will be a challenge, but I feel ready. I have been feeling weird all week, it starts around dinner time, chills, achiness, and soooo tired. It could be because I'm Ph1ing this week, pre-menstrual, who knows. I just hope I'm not coming down with something, but so far, I'm okay during the day.

Ruth says I don't have to do personals, and I am overwhelmed, so I won't. But I read you all!

dwdeb, I will make an exception to say welcome to the daily chat!
And Kara, thanks, I hadn't considered my phone calls might be DH! But they haven't called back,so I don't think so. You asked about DH's rotation a few days ago - it's @4 mos. He left late Jan, so will probably be back late May, but may go a little longer.

Have a gread day, everyone, Friday is almost here!

Good afternoon everyone!

This morning was SO hectic. I was up late last night, and then my roommate came in late and woke me up and then she woke me up again when she left for crew this morning and then again when she came back. Not really her fault... it was one of those nights where I didn't get any deep sleep. Then... at 7 this morning a squirrel was trying to claw its way through the screen of my window and making thunder-like sounds. -sigh- And then I had a midterm.

But I'm freeeeeee! I've got my shift in the costume shop today and then class in the costume shop tomorrow but both are relaxing. Then it's home time!

My first post on daily chat too. I've beening reading here for about a year, but never posted. I've been around 3fc for a gazillion yrs (well maybe not that many, that's just how old I feel sometimes). I've been messing around with SBD for a couple yrs - on/off about every 3-4 months. I basically am at the same wt I was when I started. After my last dr. visit tho, I know I have to get serious. Everything was awful. So here I go again. This time I AM serious. Hoping that being active on these boards will help. Will be posting my food too. It couldn't hurt.

Hello Chickies!

I'm LATE LATE LATE getting up today. First night on the new med... was expecting to get knocked out but instead, couldn't sleep. Finally started to deep sleep around 5 am. ack! But I'll keep taking them and see what happens.

Tonight is Karaoke Idol and I am excited to get out for some fun. I'm also working on a couple new songs myself. I'll be burning them on cd so I can practice in the car as I drive around. LOL

I'd do personals but because it's already after noon... I really need to get to my job search and stuff.

So hello to the new chicks and welcome!

Have a wonderful on plan day everyone.

Bright Blessings
Kari

Jerie!

I'm sorry about your bad doctor's appointment but glad you posted and glad that you're planning to be a 'regular' now.

I love SBD and my body responds so well to this WOE. I hope you'll feel as great and have as much success as I've had since I started posting here. I've worked hard but I firmly believe that my friends here are the reason I've been so content to stay on plan, exercise regularly and stick with it even when it's hard.

Kari, I love reading about your karaoke fun. I hope you blow 'em away with those new songs tonight!

Schmoodle, take care of yourself! Make sure you're getting enough protein. You've been under so much stress lately and that can definitely affect your health. Can your parents watch the kids for a weekend so you can sleep in?

Kate, I'm so glad to hear you're so close to break! I hate nights like that. We have pigeons in our eaves and I swear they are going to claw right through the concrete walls and land on my head. I hate them.

Kierie, YAY on the jeans! I hope the new med works out for you!

Welcome to the daily thread, Jerie! You're so right that posting will help keep you on track. Glad to have you with us.

Kari, have fun at Karaoke Idol tonight! Is there a theme every week?

So, I had to pee SO bad this afternoon and I just pulled my jeans down without unbuttoning them! And then pulled them back on without unbuttoning them. There's a funny NSV for ya!

Kara - yes, there have been SOME weeks with themes... they did showtunes, country, 50's, beatles, and 80's. This week it is just 2 songs, any songs they want to do. There are only 4 ppl left in the competition.

I never tried out.. I am not a great singer but my roommate is the dj so I go to support his business and do open karaoke. It helps when I get up there to sing.. .makes other not so great singers feel more comfortable to get up there. "if she sucks, so can I" sort of mentality LOL

So years ago when I was this same weight, my belly was sooo much smaller. I guess it is the middle-age (peri) menopausal spread that my mother has been complaining about for years. Last summer when I was at my goal weight my old pants fit in the hips but were tight in the waist! I could not believe it. I am hoping pilates and my increased cardio makes a dent. Any other suggestions?

Welcome to the virgin posters

My day is flying by and I still need to get some cardio in. DS and DH are taking in a second bball game so I have enjoyed having the house to myself. Ahhh. But I need to get out and run some errands before my trip. Cardio first. Priorities.

A big hello to the new posters.

I have been going thru some tests for my physical and on Tuesday we got such good news. SIL go a job working for Canadian National Railway, he has been waiting for this for about 15 months. So now there will be a big move to some place in Manitoba and we will have to help in some way.
Yesterday I and another member hosted our monthly weaving meeting and my friend made date squares, which I love but never make because no one else in the family likes them and guess what I didn't even try half a square.
Anyways, I think my mood will now improve with the good job news. DH and I are planning a week trip next week to Quebec.
take care
Sophie
