I usually lurk on forums but the past few years that I've tried to live a "healthier" lifestyle has led me to this site. So I figure why not. I chose to do the SBD because it seemed like something that fits me personally. I don't like soda, chips, snack cakes, candy or any process foods. However I do like to eat but I am very cautious of what I eat. Eat until I am full. Drink water which is easy because I LOVE water. I don't eat anything past 7pm unless time gets away from me or its my "free day."
Exercise wise, I refuse elevators, (they scare me) always park further away from my destination because I don't like to deal with high traffic.
So because of my personal and actually unintentional lifestyle I'm within my healthy or "normal" BMI being about 5ft 5 and weight between 140-145lbs ( I'm 24 no kids other than my Great Dane Thor). However I feel I could stand to lose about 20lbs
I have ordered the book and I am currently doing some research before I go out and spend $$$$.
However one thing bugs me. I don't like beans (other than baked beans)or vegetables ( besides broccoli or cauliflower ). As I have been reading this is the most important factor within this diet. I have been reading for any type of solutions to this problem and as I've read there are none. I remember reading correctly one site even told its viewers to "Get over it." I don't make a big deal about eating them its just I don't like them the taste and texture ruin it for me. Especially beans even if I mixed them with something I would still taste them. One reason I don't like chili or tacos with beans.
Since I doubt the book will help with my personal problem I thought maybe I could get some advice from the forum. Tips and tricks. I won't bombard the forum with absurd comments of not losing X amount weight. My goal is over come the fact of not liking beans or vegetables, eating organic/holistic foods, while enjoying the rewards of losing excess weight in the process.
Thank you
