cherry, none of the ones I have contain maltodextrin to my knowledge. Right now I've got in my cabinet Archer Farms (Target) brand, Valleta, and DaVinci. They are all sweetened with sucralose. I think that granular splenda does contain maltodextrin mixed with sucralose, but these syrups list only sucralose, so I don't think they contain the maltodextrin, but I could be wrong about that.
In any case I think some people do find that artificial sweeteners cause cravings. I do not use these syrups in excess, pretty much one small shot a day in a coffee, and if I make oatmeal breakfast bars I use them in that, but not a lot. I haven't noticed any craving issues as a result.
I think SB allows for the use of Splenda, but as with all things, it's a personal choice as to whether it works for you or not.
