I use the SF syrups in everything! They are SO expensive ($10.95--but that's for a liter and it comes with a pump) at Starbucks that I wouldn't buy them there unless it were a flavor (like Cinnamon Dolce, which I love) that only they make.
You can usually find them for fairly cheap at stores like T.J. Maxx and Ross (usually something like $4.50 or so) and our Sam's Club often carries the general flavors (vanilla, caramel, hazelnut, etc.) for about $6. But I get them cheap at www.netrition.com (huge selection at $7.49 each) and they are available year 'round. Their shipping is incredibly cheap...I can get something like 10 glass bottles of this stuff, plus other things, and the shipping will be under $5...and it comes packed impeccibly! So it's worth it to me...but I also poked around online and they have them for cheaper (all prices without S&H) in a couple of other places:
Supplement Warehouse (DaVinci for $3.99 each) Lollicup USA (has DaVinci syrups for $4.99 and Torani for $3.99) Syrup 2 U ($4.75 each if you buy a case--12--of them, $6.50 each otherwise)
I especially like using the syrups in coffee and tea, but they are also good for flavoring smoothies, plain yogurt (perfect in P1), baked goods (try "Spice" in banana bread or oatmeal cookies!), and regular meals (I use the orange flavored one and some water in place of orange juice for sauces).
They're really versatile and I keep several on hand all the time.

WHAT?
my bottle of syrup from Starbucks is 6.95. i had pumps. I can tell you where to order pumps for 2.50 a piece and then cut them down to be short enough for the starbucks bottle.

the problem is it's costing me more to ship them than it is to buy them.
23 dollars for 6 bottles of syrup is great but then they want 27 dollars to ship it to me.
and while the bottles are 7.49 per bottle I pay a flat rate of 6 dollars to ship as many bottles as I want so I would wait and order 12 bottles at a time and pay 6 dollars to ship them all.
The bottle I got at Starbucks was a liter, and it was about $7 as well. It was Gingerbread, which is a seasonal/promo item. They did not give me a pump - Laurie, maybe you are being charged for the pump?
Is it splenda or aspartame sweetened? I can't do aspartame at all but use small amounts of splenda and I always loved the gingerbread and pumpkin spice flavors (of course those were evil sweetener types back then).
btw, I passed a starbucks yesterday and pulled in to check the price of the syrups....looks like they raised their prices, girls. $10.95 for the bottle and pump.

I can't get official word off the starbucks website, but a little google search brought me to believe it is sucralose (splenda) sweetened.
Apparently they have an "original" flavor, which I'm guessing is something like simple syrup. That would be nice to have on hand for mixed drinks.
I am so glad this thread was started! I never would have went out and bought my first bottle of SF syrup. I never realized how many uses I would find for my 1st bottle! I need to add some variety... I am getting a little tired of my caramel flavor already. Can't wait to hit the stores to find some new SF flavors!
Thanks for the WONDERFUL ideas!!
