Morning everyone.

Me - I regret to say, that I'm quite awake this morning - sorry Barb and Kara Maybe it's the mix of coffee - we switched to 'lite' about 3 months ago, and I forgot to buy it this week, so we had to mix regular and decaf ourselves. I think DH mixed too much regular into it... we'll see, if I get the jitters soon, then it's back to the store for me for the lite coffee.

Barb - I don't envy you at all - back in my IT/Networking/Help Desk days, I would work long hours like that... I don't know how I functioned. I'm glad I made the switch to Software Testing - much shorter days... only impossible deadlines

Cottage - Good luck with waiting for BABY news! You've got to post pics!

LC - Have fun at the beach. I do envy you - being able to hang laundry outside. If I did that here, it would either be too humid to ever dry, or it would rain. There doesn't seem to be any middle ground.

Kara - Get some rest!

Femme - You will push through and break out of the plateau! I know you will!!!!!

Faylene - Kick off your shoes, and have fun on the Beach! The water's nice, and the sand isn't too hot!

Kiko - Enjoy watching the kiddies have fun. I love taking my nieces to those places. Usually I'm so entertained by them I don't even think about eating! That plus, it's hard to keep 4 little girls all under the age of 4 under control!

Lisa - I'm sorry you're back is still bothering you. I know exactly what you're going through. I've got a herniated disk in my back, so I've got to be extreemly careful with everything. Have you tried Advil PM - the stuff knocks me out, and because Advil is a NSAID (like Aleve) - it will help reduce the swelling. I pretty much live on Advil right now. I'm in PT for my back and the MP in my leg, plus the exercising I do at home, so I'm usually quite stiff in the mornings. Good luck, and I hope you feel better soon!!!!!

Good luck on your first day, Faylene!

Cat, I'm reading Bob Greene's book and he says that it can take four to six weeks for the water weight from gaining muscle to even out. He says that if you start an exercise regimen to not even weigh yourself for at least four weeks because you could get discouraged. He says if your clothes are fitting the same, it means you're losing fat (because if you're temporarily gaining water weight to repair the muscles, it's taking the "place" of the fat) and if your clothes are fitting looser, then you're really losing fat! I remember you saying you've lost a size or two, so know you're heading in the right direction!

LC, great job on your walk!

Kiko, hope your playdate goes well. I laughed when I saw you were going to meet at a pizza place in the morning!

Lisa, I hope your back continues to get better. I second Cat's recommendation of the knee pillow. I couldn't have done without it through my pregnancies!

And Cat, again (!), I think doctors have no idea what moms lives are like! FIVE POUNDS?!

Allie, sorry about your roommate issues. You should just go in and flush the toilet. That gets Tom out of the shower real fast. Actually, here in Korea we have to turn the water heater on and off every time we use it, so I *can* (although I haven't yet) turn the hot water off like a meanie!

Off to bed. Talk to you all in the morning!

Kara I know- it is similar to Chuck E Cheese, so we will just be doing the fun stuff and eating lunch at home.

Barb Glad to know you are working from home- I was worried about you driving so tired.

Need to hop in the shower!

Things are holding steady here. Haven't been able to go totally back to P1 because I haven't had time to go grocery shopping but have been able to do P2. I am really hoping that if I can get through the mountain of work on my desk that I can take a vacation day tomorrow, take the kids to daycare, and go back home to tackle the mess in our house from being away last weekend and run unessential errands like, oh, buying food and stuff I also need to make a cake for an office bday on Friday. Maybe I'll search the recipe forum to see if I can find one that's yummy but is still legal - it looks really bad if you don't eat what you bring in!

Barb - I hope you get some rest soon; until then, here's some
Cottage - Let us know as soon as you hear any baby news!!!!
Mamma - and good luck!
Femme - Hope your plateau breaks through soon
LC - good for you for getting your walk in so early! Please pass some of that motivation on over here....
Kiko - good luck at the pizza place
Weezle - hope your back feels better soon. I second what femme suggested, I learned that trick when I was pregnant and still use it now when my back is aching - it takes a lot of pressure off!
Charolastra - how comfortable are you with your roommate? If it were me, I'd probably just barge in there and commence with what I needed to do. Maybe that will teach him to stay out of your way in the mornings?
Iammare - Have a good day!
Kara - Have a good night!

Well, it's taken me about 20 minutes to write this b/c people think that if I'm sitting here at my desk at work that I'm actually available to do work - the nerve! LOL

Barb: Oh my! Honey, you really do need that vacation next week! I hope you're sleeping right now!

Cottage: What a nice, pleasant morning for you! Hope it remains calm, although I doubt it with all those girls running around!

Kara: Enjoy your reading and snoozing!

Faylene: Welcome! Glad to have you here and we're all looking forward to getting to know you!

Kiko: Hopefully being in such a fun place will distract your friend's son and there won't be any rudeness! How's that math work going? Ready for your deadline Friday? You've been working so hard on it I bet you'll really be glad when it's over!

Lisa: Wow, sorry your back still isn't better. Hopefully another night's rest tonight will do the trick.

Cat: Aren't doctors great? It's a bummer about your plateau but you seem to have a good attitude about cracking it! I bet all that gym work will do the trick.

LC: WTG getting that walk in again! We've been hot and humid lately, but no beach to relieve the heat. Oh well. Have fun!

charolastra: DH and I had the same problem, but it was the other way around. We just set up a STRICT schedule and the person that didn't make it to the bathroom at their allotted time went without a shower. It sure did teach me a lesson! Hope it gets better!

iammare: I'm with you on the being wide awake side of the forum! Mine's not from coffee, just going to bed at 9 and waking up at 7:30 every day. What's wrong with me? I've never gone to bed this early in my life!

Kelly: Good luck with the cake thing. I always take a non-SB cake and then take a big bag of fruit with SF cool whip. I eat that and pass it around and it doesn't seem to look that bad. (Although I don't know what they're saying behind my back! )

ME: Well, I might as well share. DH and I may be preggers. We had a bit of an accident (a blessed one) and now AF just isn't right. On top of that, the girls are tender and swollen, I'm nasceous all the time and so tired that I barely make it to 9 pm every night. It's probably too soon to tell with a home preg-test, but I'll take one on the first and then have already scheduled an appt. on the 7th of Aug for a "checkup", but it will turn out to be a preggers visit if our test is positive. If we are, my due date will be around April 6, 2008. There goes our trip to Ruidoso! Oh well.

In other news, weight is back down to where I started this month and I'm expecting a bit of a drop as I was retaining a lot of water. Plus, my trainer is really going to be pushing me today and Friday I'll be repeating her workout, she just won't be there. Throw in another day of water aerobics and some biking this weekend, and I think I'll be in pretty good shape. Well, time to get some work done! Have a great day!

I've got too many meetings and things to do to be sleeping. Hopefully I can at least quit at 4:30 but it will depend.

happy teacher - Brian and I got planning on visiting Sea World and Schlitterbahn next week. Has the flooding affected them? The Dallas area isn't as wet as it was a few weeks ago but I am worried about San Antonio.

Kim, let us know when you find out!!!!
And for the rest of you Texans...It has stormed here all summer long too...seems like you get it first, then pass it over to us. It hasn't rained here in two days...could you just keep it from coming here for a while? We can't have our electricity fixed till it dries out under our house and at this rate, it will never dry out!!

Hey Barb, Well, Sea World should be okay, Schlitterbaun will definitely be closed if there is lightning, and trust me there has been alot of lightning lately. The Guadalupe river has reached it's peak and Schlitterbaun is on the Guadalupe. I'll keep ya posted through this weekend. I'm hoping the rain will stop for a while! We have had all sorts of high water rescues today!

Kelly, hope you got your things in order! I laughed when you called grocery shopping an unessential chore!

Congrats, Kim! Hope you get in a good workout, too!

Stephanie, hope the rains calm down for you soon! We're in monsoon season here, and have been walking through our share of rivers that used to be roads!

Megan, by this time I'd be counting the hours!!! How many days until your wedding, my dear?!

I'm up and ready to make some pancakes (real ones - it's my birthday so I'm treating myself with whole wheat flour buttermilk pancakes!). Have a good night, all!

Dang. HAPPY BIRTHDAY KARA!!!!! I'm always late.

Back is sore in the lumbar area, but otherwise just a bit stiff. Thanks for all your happy thoughts and ideas. I think (pray) by tomorrow it'll be better. I am off so I'll get to relax some. I've got physical therapy and piano but otherwise I should be fine.

Got more makeup in the mail today! YAY! Only one more package (a lip gloss) and then I have it all. I'm SO not addicted.....

Have a good night girlies. Need to check on my stuffed pepper soup. I'm pretty sure it's Ph1 friendly. May post the recipe later on if I remember. If not, remind me tomorrow! Talk soon!

Oh I forgot about the rice in the soup. It'll be Ph2. I'm posting it for you girls on the recipe boards though. Hope you like it.
