Default Back In Kindergarten #5

to BACK IN KNDERGARTEN #5

I feel like I am back in kindergarten in many ways... personal, sometimes at work and now with the weight loss. I have done so many things wrong over the years.....emotional eating, pills for weight loss, eating the wrong things, failed diets, etc.
Now it's time to start fresh, kinda like back in kindergarten ~Jules

Come join us in our daily chit chat as we share our lives and weight loss victories!!!

from Michelle:

This may not seem like a big deal to some people, but I find it to be to myself. I always try to include everyone in personals, but for some reason, I'm left out quite often when it comes to personals. I have invested a lot of my time here, but I feel it's best that I back away from this group and not say anymore. Sorry I had to bring this up AGAIN, but I've been feeling this way again for the past couple of days.

from Mari:

HI Everyone!
Hope your Friday is going well. Today is a dreary day outside. We have been having 80 deg weather and today it is like 55 and might rain tonight. I guess I didn't look at the weather reports since I sent Ryan to school in his uniform shorts only to realize when we got there that 80% of the school was bundled up!!! He didn't mind so I hope it will be okay!.

Susan: Dinner was good. I must have spent like 15 minutes trying to decide on what to have. It seems that not many places just carry steamed vegetables - this was a BJ Brewhouse like a Red RObin and they had all types of food but their salads were definitely not fit food!!! It was a struggle but when I came home I indulged in my Jenny Craig Double Chocolate cook, yummy!

Jules: Thank you for the nice words! On another subject, I have been wanting to research a breast lift. It seems that with the weight loss has come other issues to deal with. I heard about sagging skin and things like that but I ddin't give it much thought until now. I feel like I want to do something. Anybody have any tips? I am going to try strength exercising and toning for four months to see if I see any improvement.
Ginny: My right side is bigger too, I even notice it in pants on my right leg. I thought it was just me but I guess it is like that for others.
Bep: I remember around the month after I started losing I was so excited to be losing like 4 -5 lbs a week and I remember coming home so sad and disappointed when she told me I lost 1/2 a pound and I did everything the same that week!! So the next week, I added 10 minutes of Tai Bo (sp) I couldn't do anymore than 10 minutes!!! and I changed my walking to instead of straight walking I would do 2 minute jogs and then 5 minuts walk and then 2 minutes jog, etc. Well it did work since the next week I lost 2.5 lbs. I try to change it up but I don't know what to do now!!! Since I am stuck with that dreaded P word. Tonight I am going to try and do an OLD Kathy Smith Video. (I found it in my old boxes and remembered how I liked it!!!)

Michelle: Thank you for the kind words, I feel like I can share my story here. It is so weird since I know that I can't even talk to my 3 sisters about any of these but I feel like I can share with you all. Thanks for being there!!!!

Michelle ummm, sorry.....you can't leave!! I honestly think we all just get busy in life. I am sorry if you feel left out at times - not a good feeling at all. I have felt that way at times myself but just take a deep breath and plug along.Personals are really hard for me in the past. HUGS and I am sure no one meant any harm. I think we are an awesome group and hope you stay!! As far as Oregon City High.....my brothers and sister went there. I dropped out in 9th grade. I think it would be great for Rach. I have wanted to move out there anyway for some time. Seems like a more peaceful place to live. I hope you are having a good day You are always welcome to PM me.

Mari Congrats on the dinner out! I never pay attention to the weather here. Suppose to rain Monday and I kind of look forward to that!! Hope you are having a good Friday!

Ginny Yikes!! I forgot what you wrote! lol I know you are super busy. How long does the busy time at business last? Hope you are having a good day too and I will have to go back and reread.....

Default good afternoon

Howdy all,
I am sitting at work on lunch break right now. Turkey cutlet with green beans and pinto beans.
Michelle, I am sorry if you feel left out. I know for the most part I don't address everybody separately. It is not an intentional thing, but I usually check in the mornings and the late evenings when I get home, and there are alot of posts to read and I read them all I just dont address everyone of them. I will try to do better with that.
Bep, if you are working out along with eating healthier you are going to gain muscle and muscle weighs more then fat. As long as you are losing inches you are doing fine. We all plateau at some point, just like Mari said, just change some of your workout up a bit and I'm sure it will help.
Jules and Susan: the kashi waffle was yummy, now just to keep them in the house for longer then 2 days with everybody else eating them!!!
Hubby is feeling better this morning, but really weak. I told him to not even breathe on me!!!
HI Dahlia, Cristina, Ginny, Katy, Mari....is that everybody???
Weekend plans, I'm working 9-7 tomorrow then we are going on a double date with some friends of ours. I think we're going to go bowling after we get dinner. Have a good night everyone.

Hello All....just a newbie here--hoping this is the right place to post. Thanks to MOM2GABY for an invite back here. I've belonged to MSN groups--but this site is so LARGE--I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. I'm a 34 yr old sahm to kids from Missouri--they are out for the summer now so say a prayer for my sanity--HA HA. We farm for a living and I stay active with that, the 3 kids who are all involved in sports and whatnot....but this weight just won't come off. I will be the first to admit that I do NOT like healthy food...not at all. But I have made an honest effort to cut back all my portions and try to start drinking water. I also started walking at least 2 miles a day about 6 weeks ago--2 weeks ago I went to the dr and had not lost a pound since I had been there for a kidney stone about 2 monthes before that. The NP tried to explain that muscle weighs more than fat and I should be measuring myself, but that didn't matter--in my eyes I had done all that work for nothing and I was quite depressed--fell of the wagon for a week and am now trying to jump back on. I've tried every diet pill out there and just wish I had half that money I had wasted on all that stuff. I look forward to getting to know some of you and learning my way around here....

Yours Truly--June C

June C!! I love that ID and that you live on a farm. When I talk with my daughters about some of the things I want to do with them they say "we're not the Cleavers!"..lol What are some of the foods do you like? I like the shakes (Atkins or Slim Fast) with a fruit in the morning.
I think you will see results if you continue with the walking. I am not even doing that right now so and welcome!! Look forward to chatting with you and I promise the other ladies will have better advice!! lol Saying prayers!! Mine go on vacation mid June.

Shawna I have been thinking of kashi waffles all day long! Do you make them from scratch or from a box?

Michelle How is your day going?? Turned cool this afternoon....

Just popping in....had lunch and sent my email to my co worker.....*roll eyes* had to set up appts to meet with him. Now he is talking with me and I can't stand it........lol......have a carrot cake staring at me and think I will take home to the kids.

Chat later and welcome again!!

Default Hi

HI June, Welcome! I just joined her a couple days ago and this is a great bunch and I look forward to getting to know everyone.
The walking is great for you. That has been one of the things that I started with and do. I couldn't get into doing the aerobics, spin classes, step machines. I tried but I swear I couldn't last 5, make that 3 minutes!!!! I did a step class one day and I swear I looked like so funny - I could not follow directions well and was going in all directions. Needless to say, do not go back there again!!!!

i love walking though. I use my treadmill and read a book when I am on it. I buy large hardcovers so I can easily read but someone gave me a book on CD last week. I am going to try that next!

NSV=non scale victory--like losing inches, your clothes feel looser, my peronal fave--working my way up to 10 minutes on the ellipitical after barely being able to do 3 minutes when I started or my greatest fear that hasn't happenned yet-I didn't start a fire from the friction of my thighs rubbing together!!

Michelle ma belle--I am sorry that you are feeling left out--I think from time to time we all feel a little that way-I don't know about you but I have always had insecurity issues and sometimes I feel unwanted myself. I am trying to get over those feelings--when I figure it out it will be another chapter in that book we are going to write. I think another thing too is sometimes when we all really get posting it is hard to backtrack to the previous page to cover everything.

Mari--what are you reading now--I just got Sue Grafton S is for Silence at the library today along with a Fit after 40 book and a few other heatlh books.

June--I love your that--I am like SuzyQ and we do the "We are not the Cleavers" my husbands uncle has a farm in MD--my kids got off the bus there and his aunt babysat them until we got home. my weight has been stalled for several months and while I know it's very frustrating I try to look at the fact I am losing inches--have you measured yet--start keeping track--it helps!! Aren't kidney stones terrible--I had one--I couldn't stop rolling around on the floor until I got to the hospital and got a pain shot. I had heard they were bad but boy--they really are not kidding!!

Shawna--a double date and bowling sound fun!! enjoy!!

I am sure Cristina is having a great tiem with her son!! Hubby's doctor appointment went pretty good--they drew some blood to run some tests and he will do the rest of a physical next Friday. Dr thinks he doesn't have a hernia but has a muscle tear. He is referring him to a specialist that he thinks highly of.

Speaking of Hubby--I gotta go!! I hope everyone had a great day today!!
